A great property for a family of four. Perfectly clean and great facilities (oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine AND dryer).
Nice little pool area with hot tub and bbq area.
Superb little place walkable from the main centre.

Inside is old style but clean. The checkin process was not ideal. There was no response for 53 minutes whilst the family and I waited on the footpath. The number on the building isn’t connected and the one that works wasn’t getting answered. The pool looked good in the advert but u get here and it’s empty and non useable

Property wasn’t clean, no dish cloth available to hand wash the dishes or wipe benches down also no bench spray, no hand soap in kitchen or bathroom, no shampoo or conditioner supplied only a tiny bottle of body wash, kitchen tap constantly leaked, shower leaked when showering so the whole vanity got wet as well- my straighter got wet! Beds are hard as a rock, some of the dining room chairs looked like they are ready to break, dishes weren’t cleaned properly. The managers were nice enough to message me where my keys were going to be and to enjoy my stay, they did come at night when I texted them to let them know about the kitchen sink leaking to let me know that they have told the plumbers but they can’t come any time soon.

Close to shopping and dining - reasonably priced, Fan did not work in main bedroom, was unable to scan key at last door to enter stairwell. Instead had to walk back to front gate, use garage entry and then found door from garage to stairwell had been left wedged open. Baby bottle not removed from lower drawer in kitchen from previous occupant.

The property was clean. But there was no closet space available in any room. They were market as “private property”. There was also no blankets available. Check in was a horrible experience. There was no instructions in the reservation, the phone number didn’t work and there was no signage pointing where to go on site.

Fantastic location and city views right in the heart of surfers paradise. 5 minutes walk some great food and cavil mall
Let down by the condition of the room while basically clean and tidy the detail was lacking. Very cheap electronics clothes dryer was exceptionally noisy.

The place is really cool and relaxing to stay. It is clean and spacious. Love the heated pool on winter. Heather with husband is so nice and friendly. They will make you feel very at hime and welcome. We will surely go back on our next trip to Gold Coast.

location is good.. money was taken from my account without permission as was reserve now pay when there!!!!! rang and was spoken to like was my fault.. bed was terrible!!! pool was heated and not nice as was 33 degrees so was like a bath.. appartment needs work and is rundown..not the worse i have stayed at but could be much better..

We were always out during the day. It was hot at night in the hotel. The air con was not enough to cool down the rooms. One of the room outlets not working thus unable to use electric fan. No exhaust fan in the toilet. We have to sleep in the lounge where the ceiling fan and closer to the air con coz one of the room does not have a ceiling fan/fan.

Not too bad...BUT...Plenty of room for improvement

The apartment we stayed in has plenty of room for improvement. Our room had an awesome view directly over a waterway and with a large spacious deck with 2 sliding doors we had plenty of room to move around. The outside gardens and walkways are well kept, but the apartment condition and cleanliness left us wondering when it was last cleaned! We weren't at all expecting luxury 5 star living...But basic hygiene and cleaning seems to have been overlooked, which no matter the price of accommodation cannot be overlooked.

Refreshing stay. Worth the penny.

We had a very comfortable stay at Surfers Del Rey. Heather was very warm and welcoming. The location is great. The house was clean and the we had a great time there. I had a baby with me and she fell I'll.Heather helped me by extending my stay and I am very grateful for that.The place is peaceful and serene. The pool area is my favorite. Pretty close to Surfers Paradise beach. Thumbs up!

We have stayed here 3 times now over a time of 15 years and sorry to say the rooms are starting to show their age as in marks on walls and doors little things that dont mean much to some people but they can make you get turned off from your stay,eg cleanliness in the bathroom ,shower looked clean but once you used it for the first time you could see areas that hadnt been clean around the bottom of the shower door etc,missing plugs for the wash basin ,not clear enough instructions how to use oven,and when we went to use the phone couldnt get outside line or when we did some of the keys on the phone didnt work we did ask about the phone and they told us they dont have phones havnt for over 2 years cause most people have cell phones which we understand but when you advert says you have certain things in the room which one of the things they said was they had phones.
Now the staff we cant fault them nice people just what we saw on the web site and paid for wasnt what we got when it comes to the room.
Yes it is close to the main shops and beach plus the public transport etc which is great and we may have got just a bad room at the time.
Would we stay again that would be a 50/50 call as this stay has been a let down compared to the others.

My husband and I stayed here in September 2017, with our two young daughters. Didn't really know what to expect as we randomly picked it for its location. Manageress was a gorgeous welcoming lady, our unit was clean and spacious and comfortable. kids loved the pool and spa, grounds were gorgeous!
Had a lovely view out our window. 5 min walk to the mall, restaurants ect. Safe undercover parking, property secured well. Highly recommend!

Basic hotel cheap wouldn't go back.

Well when we checked in from a Sydney flight needed more toilet paper they told us we had to buy our own. Normally toilet roll u can spare one at least. Then we went to pool asked for towels they told us no. U need your own towels or you have to wash & dry them, I was quite surprised how unhelpful the staff were. Definitely won't go back because of staff.

A comedy of errors

The managers were lovely. It was there first week there. The apartment was nice and tidy, but needed a bit of a spring clean. The disappointing parts were, could not get wifi, had it for one day only and staff could not get working. TVs stopped working and could not get any channels. Staff were able to get one channel and asked us not to turn the tv off for the duration of our stay as they didn't know what they did to get it working. We asked for the shower head to be changed as it was like a dripping tap. They did this straight away. No working phone in room.
Little nest of roaches living by the jug. Basic maintainance has not been kept up over the years, (this was our third stay over the last ten years), as mentioned before the new managers were not aware of the issues until they took over and hopefully they can turn this potential paradise around as it is of poor standard at present.

Relaxing Holiday and Great Location

We enjoyed our stay and had a room with river views. The pool and spa were warm and great to be able to swim in August. The manager was helpful with wifi etc. Walk to Surfers Mall and short drive to Pac Fair and theme parks. Secure undercover parking. This is our 2nd stay (in 2 different rooms) and we will be back again.

Great place to stay. Just out of the city centre (5min walk) so was nice and quiet. Pool and spa were nice.
Room was a little tired in places but great value for money. The only thing that was really horrible was all the local residents who live there seamed to smoke so sitting outside on the balcony wasn't very nice sometimes. Would stay here again.

Average apartment in a good location

We found this apartment very handy to Cavill Street with good shopping, Woolworths super market was close by. The beach only 15 minutes walk away. The outdoor area was nice and our children enjoyed the pool. The room was a bit dated and not well cleaned. However we would return and enjoyed the apartments spaciousness.

Well presented, dated but ok and clean and neat. Great pool over looking the river. My apartment was directly overlooking the river and had awesome views. Overall excellent for the price and location if your on a budget. Will definitely use again!

Room okay, but has quite a few signs of disrepair including holes in the walls where previous switches were located. Some cutlery was found to be dirty, otherwise okay.
Lint filter in tumble dryer not cleaned in a long time.
Desk staff only accessible during business hours and half a day on Saturday, so we barely saw them to ask questions regarding issues.
Air conditioning is locked, not sure why.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, room was a bit rough around the edges but it's getting an older hotel now so it was ok, nice pool area and under cover parking was good. Short walk to all the attractions in surfers, would stay again for its quietness and closeness to the city.

My teenages really enjoy the pool and spa. Would recommend for families. The apartments are getting older but very well kept will definately return. There are no elevators at this property so if stairsvare an issue ask for ground floor. We had a 2 bedroom appartment.

It's in a good location and the apartment is roomy. We didn't stay much in the apartment except at night. Not having a working fridge was bit annoying since it's summer. Couldn't park in the parking space as it's only 1.9m clearance.

Nice Accommodation, Close to the heart of Surfers.

Stayed at Surfers Del Ray for 3 nights just after the school holidays. We had an enjoyable, relaxing stay. Nice size apartment with plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 children. We all enjoyed the swimming pool and spa after long days at the theme parks. Overall very nice, We will be staying again next time we visit the area.

Close to Srufers - but close to falling down!

The fence off back balcony unsafe as very unstable. Back area stunk like dog poop courtesy of the next door neighbor's mounting collection. Thick wads of black hair and cigarette butts littered the front balcony area. People openly smoking illegal substances. Apartment had seen better days. Surprise $10 a day additional charge for aircon . Someone pooped in the car park, no one cleaned it up. Pool nice. Staff friendly and attentive.

We were there to visit theme parks and just needed a place to sleep which this place suited well. It's a bit dated and all taps leaked to some degree which wasn't a major issue. Good amount of room which all necessary conveniences. Staff were very friendly and allowed us to store our luggage at the motel after check-out for a few hours.

Was a very nice hotel with a beautiful view. No elevator though, so you have to climb a lot of stairs. If you can't climb stairs definitely call ahead first to see if they have any rooms that can be accessed by wheelchair or with ease. Still, a lovely place to stay all the same.

The location was great. Close proximatey to Surfers Paradise. The hotel needed some TLC. You could feel the springs in the mattresses and the cooktop did not work properly. Some of the handles had fallen off cupboards and some door knobs were loose. The swimming pool area was lovely.

Apartment was a good size however has been neglected by not getting a fresh fitout. The ceiling fans are so noisey and the lighting is so poor, evidence of wall damages that appears to been repaired by a novice handyman. Bedrooms not aircon as thought to be advertised and found the aircon in lounge room wasnt enought to reach bedrooms.

Nice and handy

It was very handy to the main shopping area of Surfers. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Room was fairly clean, though there was a musty smell, so the room may have been closed up for sometime.
The amenities were fairly good, gardens had just been spruced up and were looking good.
Could do with abit of a re paint and tidy up both inside and outside.
Overall, it was fine for us and suited our needs, would certainly stay there again.

Good large room with balcony. Outside spa was good after a long hard day. Staff were friendly. However, wifi was patchy. Also, a bit of restrictions. Have to take out rubbish at end of stay. There was a notice that using the a/c would incur $10 a night, but on inquiry, was told that there was no charge. Good secure parking.
