The check-in attendant was very friendly. Unfortunately, he told me the restaurant was closing at 11:00....which technically it was supposed to be, but when I arrived at the restaurant, they told me that the Kitchen closed at 10:30. I really think they should let their team know those specifics so that they can let their guests know. In my case, I ran upstairs to drop my luggage off, but also took a moment to freshen up after having been on a long flight. I would have just ran down there immediately after dropping my luggage off had I known the kitchen closed at 10:30. Also, the shuttle times to go back to the airport were a little bit random. For instance there were mostly 30 minute gaps, but there was an hour gap in the time that I needed to be getting on a shuttle at a more appropriate time. I ended up Ubering to the airport. I did use the shuttle from the airport to the hotel, and it was only a relatively short wait. Overall, the hotel is very nice, & the room was large & comfortable. With a couple of tweaks & better communication, it could make it better for the guests.

I had to walk more than 100 meters just to get to the elevator that gave access to my room.
The room had problems, water was going to the room below, I was awake by the maintenance to try and solve it. Next morning in check-out there was no mention to the problem, or even apologies.

The hotel staff was amazing. We were involved in an automobile accident in front of the hotel and your staff coordinated our interaction with the police and the towing service. Of particular note was Mr. Asmar Rouhand. He made sure we were okay and then assisted us in getting to the airport and having the vehicle removed from the premises. We would have been lost and traumatized without his assistance. The hotel is fortunate to have such a dedicated coordinator.

Good shuttle but very crowded. Can’t reserve the shuttle so need to show up early or plan to take a taxi. Area around hotel quite industrial, hotel very sterile looking, lacking character, almost soulless. Extremely large with rooms quite a distance from front entrance. Good for conventions but lacking for personal travel enjoyment. Rooms were clean and bed very comfortable as always with Marriott hotels.

The water heater was malfunctioning so they didn’t recommend drinking the water. Also, I think calling themselves a hotel airport is a misnomer as it requires a 25 minute cab ride to get to the airport. The restaurant is excellent. The food and service were outstanding. However the front desk messed up the credit card on file, so paying for lunch was a hassle.

I was traveling alone so I purposely selected a brand I could trust. They gave another guest a key to my room!!! As I was relaxing, the door opened. Thank goodness for the latch. I opened the door to find another guest standing at my door with a key labeled for the same room.

I highlighted this to the staff when I checked out. They emailed me later and stated that it did not happen. I must have been mistaken.

What a disappointment for a Marriott conference center!

The hotel is very big and our room is newly renovated. It is close to the airport and provides free shuttles to the airport. A potential drawback is the limited capacity of the shuttle. It operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and we had to line up 20 minutes before the scheduled departure times to secure a spot. We barely made it on, so that's something to keep in mind.

If you advertise free pickup and drop off from the airport, you better damn well have enough capacity to do so. We waited online at the airport for TWO of your small vehicles to arrive (1 hour at 12 midnight) only to turn around and spend 38Euro on a taxi to get in. Next morning, we arrived 30 minutes before the 8:30 departure for the exact same thing to happen, spending an additional 20Euro to take another taxi to be at the airport on time. Fix that, or don't advertise it at all because it is a complete sham and a headache for your guests.

I chose this property because it seemed nice (which it is) and also for the free airport shuttle. Only to learn onsite that there are no reservations for it, it’s first come first served. The hotel has hundreds of rooms but a tiny shuttle that holds a dozen people. I was not able to get on, as most people who were waiting outside with me. I consider this to be false advertising and a scam to get people to book this hotel

The manager of the sports bar was very accommodating. After a long day of traveling it was pleasant to speak with a professional and smiling face ready to move mountains to find us seats. I feel horrible that I cannot remember his name. However, he was the only staff member wearing a suit and tie.

I had an exceptional experience at the Marriott Madrid from start to finish. The staff were warm, professional, and incredibly attentive, making me feel welcome the moment I arrived. The check-in process was seamless, and every interaction during my stay reflected genuine hospitality.

My room was spotless, spacious, and well-designed for both comfort and functionality, with thoughtful touches that made the stay feel special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had some of the best sleep of my trip here.

The breakfast buffet was excellent — fresh, plentiful, and with a wide variety of choices to suit any taste. I also appreciated the hotel’s quiet yet convenient location, with easy access to the city’s highlights.

I chose this for my last night in Madrid because it’s close to the airport and I was unfamiliar with Madrid and had an early morning flight. I stayed in two other hotels in Spain at similar price points — both were lovely. But this was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s very much intended for large conferences (and I pity the people summoned to those), but there didn’t appear to be any such thing happening when I was there and the hotel was pretty empty. But I was given a room that was very far from reception and restaurants. It actually felt unsafe. There was a terrible chemical smell in the hallway that was being blown in through the air conditioning. The television didn’t work. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. I ate in one of the restaurants and while the wait staff was friendly, the restaurant was was windowless and dark, perhaps an understandable choice because there is nothing good to look at in that area and no other restaurant to go to without a taxi ride. Most of all, having now done it, I realize it wasn’t necessary to stay that close to the airport. You can stay in Madrid and, barring a bad traffic jam, spend a few more minutes in a taxi. And have a better night.

The Marriott Auditorium Hotel is a good institutional hotel, convenient if you need to be a shuttle distance from Madrid Airport. The restaurant is the weak point of the hotel. The food is third-rate and the restaurant has the atmosphere of a high school mess hall.
