We had a good overall stay at Los Corales Beach Village, with a few minor issues. When we arrived, our original room wasn’t available for the first night, but the staff made it right by upgrading us to a two-bedroom, two-bath villa for the rest of our stay, which was a really nice gesture and gave us plenty of space.

The location is excellent—right on a beautiful, clean beach and within easy walking distance of several restaurants and small mini markets. The area did have a lively spring break crowd while we were there, so it could be a bit noisy at times, but that’s more about the timing than the property itself.

Breakfast was included and was fine—nothing fancy and not a huge variety, but perfectly adequate to start the day. The pool looked clean and well kept, although we didn’t end up using it because the ocean and weather were so great.

The villa itself was comfortable, though there were a couple quirks: one bathroom didn’t have hot water, but the other did, and there was only one TV located on the screened patio, which was a little inconvenient but manageable.

The main reason for giving slightly lower marks on property condition is that there was quite a bit of construction happening around the property during our stay. Overall though, it’s a great beachfront location with lots nearby and a good option if you want to stay right in the Los Corales area.

The facility itself is in rough shape. Exterior door only shuts if deadbolted. Hair dryer atrached to wall but no outlet to plug it in to use it. We got bothered all day everyday from locals selling on the beach. Did not always feel safe.

They seem to struggle with reservations that were booked through Expedia. Señora Rosa couldn't initially find our reservation, but then did, but said we couldn't check in 'til 3. When we came back, we were hoping it would be her, but she had just ended her shift and a guy was there, and the room and package he gave us, was NOT the one we booked. We were supposed to have a room with one bed and one sleeper sofa, upstairs with an ocean view, beach towels, a mini bar, daily coffee and water and breakfast included, and we had none of those things. The room wasn't bad, but it wasn't what we booked. He didn't even give me the WiFi password. When I went to ask for it, he was being a smart alec saying, \"it's very easy\", like I was just supposed to guess it. When I asked him about breakfast, he was adament that we didn't have breakfast included, until I made him check and he saw that in fact, we DID. He clearly only looked at our dates, but didn't bother looking at the details. Contrary to what was stated online, the breakast is at 8, not 6 and there is no restaurant on the property. We had to walk a few minutes down the beach to where the breakfast was, and it was mediocre.
All that being said, the property and grounds were nice, but the rooms and pool area are in serious need of rennovations, (our fridge was rusty) and there's only one restaurant next to the hotel.
That being said, it was cool to be in a more local area, rather than a secluded all-inclusive.

Our hotel’s beach was very dirty with a lot of seaweeds. The other hotels to the right of our hotel cleaned the seaweeds daily so their beaches were very clean.
Our hotel sent their customers to Villa Blanco restaurant for free breakfast. The menu has other items which were not included in our tickets. Hotel management should had been clear about this. Anyways, the food was not good.
Room was fairly clean but shower did not work all the time. Room per night was too expensive for the hotel!

We stayed here as a family for two nights. Overall, the stay was reasonable and generally met our expectations for the price.

The location is convenient, with many restaurants nearby, which makes dining out very easy. The hotel is also close to the beach. However, during our stay, the beach had a lot of seaweed and did not appear very clean.

The front desk area is quite small. While the walk from the front desk to the rooms is short, the path is uneven, which makes moving luggage a bit inconvenient. The room facilities are somewhat dated. We experienced an issue with the curtain rod, which was broken and fell down when we tried to close the curtains.

At night, music from nearby restaurants can be loud at times, which may be a concern for families with young children or light sleepers.

Overall, it is a decent option if you are mainly looking for a convenient location and understand the value-for-money trade-off.

The property manager Rosa is the best!! We stayed at three different villas/apartments due to family joining us for our trip and Rosa was a wonderfull host helping us with our every need. This is the most beautiful stay on the beach literally just a minute from the beach from the quaint villas to minutes from the apartments with a full kitchen with multiple bedrooms. This is a very safe and secure property with Rosa being the best host of anywhere I have ever stayed.

These properties have anything anyone would want while staying at DM, from their quaint European villas to their family oriented apartments. This is a safe, secure, guarded property that has beautiful beach views and private pools with very reasonable priceing, this is our third year staying!!!

Very nice villa right on one of the prettiest parts of the beach. Low key and relaxing watching parasailing and little boats. The party crowd is a way up the beach so quieter area with a few close by restaurants. Nice spa and pool. Only complaint is that room safe did not work.

The best part of our stay was Rosa and Jesus at the front desk. Remember hours are limited and they stay very busy so be patient. But they really went out of their way to help these gringos. The property is older, we lost water a few times and the construction next door is what it is. The cleaning crew do a great job. I think the property as a whole was what we were expecting. Listen it’s the Caribbean and things get rusty and worn out. So don’t think you won’t see imperfections. The property overall is safe! Our issues were expectations of washer/dryer in the condo or at least on the property and there wasn’t any. There is a laundry mat 10 min away but who wants to spend vacation in a laundry mat? Even worse was the service and attitude at the beach villa. You can tell as a foreigner you will go last and I will bring this up to management. They give you breakfast vouchers yes….but poorly managed. Buttttttt there is one employee that was absolutely THE BEST! His name is Jay and runs around and gets things done!!!!!! You could go sit at beach order everything and bam it’s there pronto. Whereas if you sat inside the restaurant you might get it tomorrow.

So overall some good and some bad but tourists have options and spend a lot of money.

I like the location of the hotel. It’s close the beach and to shops. They were prompt picking us from and to the airport. We stayed for 4 days and they never came to clean or pick up trash. The first night they wanted to clean the room at 4;30 pm! Who does that? They need to do better with the staff in keeping up with room. Floor was full of sand .

The good - conveniently located, beach access, nearby restaurants and minutes away from nightlife areas. Room was generally clean. If you need a clean room for a short time its ok. Just ok. Hints of shoddy upkeep cant be ignored though. Most staff were friendly. Breakfast was complimentary, very good and located on the beach!

The bad - Dont use their recommended ride service from the airport! Dont do it! Waited nearly two hours waiting for the driver to show up and then when he arrived he still couldn't find me after simple instructions. The hotel receptionist didnt offer anything for the extreme delay. Just grab an Uber. Pool was clean but dirty. Meaning, the water was clear enough to swim in but it was also full of debris - leaves, bugs and random particles. The rooms door lock was barely operable and the entry way light was out of order. Maintenance fixed those issues but the annoyance just added to the mounting disappointments.

Wrapping up, if youre a single guy staying for a few days its fine at a minimum, its borderline motel-like. If you really want to be comfy and its in your budget, stay somewhere else.

My friends and I stayed at Los Corales Beach Village for five nights, and the customer service was truly exceptional—far beyond our expectations. We were warmly greeted by the operations team with a traditional Dominican corn muffin, which was such a thoughtful touch. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive.

We had a few requests during our stay, and they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We even received a complimentary upgrade to a unit that had everything we could have asked for and more. Although there were a few minor issues with the unit, they were easily manageable and not worth fussing over given the outstanding service we received.

Overall, it’s a great hotel in an excellent location with high-speed Wi-Fi. I would absolutely recommend it!

We planned to stay 5 days and ended up staying much longer — that says it all. This place isn’t about luxury, but about warmth, greenery, and being just steps from the sea.

🏡 Rooms
Simple, clean, and functional. Comfortable bed, large fridge, and on request we got a microwave and kettle. In the room is also a cooking area.

🌊 Beach
We came during seaweed season, but the beach was cleaned daily — even multiple times a day if needed. It didn’t bother us at all.

🌿 Atmosphere
Quiet, safe, and surrounded by lush tropical gardens. The vibe is friendly and relaxed.

🛍️ Nearby
Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. For groceries, we went to Super Lama, walked there in 40 minutes and took a taxi or mototaxi back for about $5.

🍽️ Food & Value
Breakfasts were delicious and thoughtful. We chose to stay here instead of moving to an all-inclusive — and didn’t regret it.

💰 Overall
Great value for money. Perfect for those who love eco-tourism, local food, simplicity, and being 50 meters from the sea.

✨ Highly recommended. We’d happily return.

The only “issues” or inconvenience that I found was the music at the restaurant until 11 pm and it’s close to the rooms so if you what to sleep earlier than 11pm you can’t do it because of the noise, besides that all the staff and yhe room, was really good! Good spot for what you pay for, we wanted a more budget option as part of a longer trip, the roads going in are not great but obviously not the hotel's fault. The rooms are good but nothing spectacular, comfortable beds with AC and the beach is nearby. It is very spacious though with comfortable couches

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Los Corales beach Village. Rosa, the property manager was kind and accommodating. I became a bit ill after brushing my teeth with the tap water. Rosa sent coconut water to my room. The property offers breakfast vouchers to Villa Blanco (good eats and drinks). The beach is beautiful and within walking distance. They have a 24 hour pharmacy nearby and a plethora of food options. I had a lovely solo stay at this property.

There was construction next to property so road leading to property not paved. Also, roads leading to that community not paved neither.
Additionally, I was to thank Rose and staff for accommodating me as best as possible.
Just a suggestion, a microwave should be put in these rooms/villas just to make it more convenient for the traveler; in addition, the pool area needs upgrade.

Everyone around the beach area - security guard, lady that works there really humble and nice-asked her to heat up my food as I went with my father. The area - nice and quiet, Italian guy always checking that no one else would go into Los Corales beach as its private beach. The beach itself had a lot of seaweed so at least I had booked a few trips with dad, and we had a great time altogether. Thank you Corales staff and beach staff for making our vacation a very memorable one!! Lastly, I met a few people which I connected with and I'm sure I will keep in contact with them.

I usually don’t write reviews but the stay here was absolutely worth every minute and penny. Besides the convenient walk to the beach ( amazing food and shops over there too !) the staff were some of the sweetest people I have met, Rosa the receptionist was an absolute DOLL and so helpful. Seriously glad I chose this hotel and I will definitely be back more times than you can count. Also the hotel itself had everything you could need and gave authentic islander vibes.

Although I booked at Los Corrales, I was given a room at Las Terrazas. When I inquired, I was told they own all the properties on that lot & gave us what they thought was best. Somehow the bed at las terrazas was super loud & squeaky anytime I moved. The cleaning crew only showed up once during our entire stay & at the beginning we had no hot water.
It was an ok stay but not great
