Was my first time in Madrid and hotel villa de Barajas was a amazing hotel upon arrival it was easy to check in also had a package delivered before I landed and they received it and gave it to me when I arrived staff from all shift were nice answered every question I had when asked every morning the cleaning staff left everything good always switch out every towel etc the area was also nice so many restaurants around little shops all 5 min walking distance or less over all amazing experience and would recommend to anyone when I visit again am definitely staying at that hotel again!!

An amazing stay at this lovely little hotel. The staff were so friendly and the bed really comfortable. The area around the hotel was brilliant, plenty of restaurants and so close to the metro station. If I am ever in Madrid again this is where I will stay.

Breakfast is Best, Cleanliness Worst!

Very rich breakfast, you can eat yourself full!
The location is very good, a short walk from the Barajas metro station, several small shops and restaurants, bars.
This hotel is great for an overnight stay when you have layovers between flights.
Still, for the price my room was very small and tight. Single room, but could have been better.
Very good sound isolation, though (applied to the walls).
Bed sheets were clean and so was the bathroom. However, the technical equipment looked like it hasn't been cleaned for years! TV remote had thick dust and was sticking with dirt! Thick dust was on the cable phone as well...
Staff is very kind.
Too bad the hotel has two doors and one is blocked. This is terrible. It has been so for years. At least they could put up a sign there or open it up!

good for overnight stay before early flight

In a good position for the metro to the airport to catch an early flight. In a small neighbourhood with restaurants just along the street. The room was a bit basic but the breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Just what you need for a one night stay.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. It is in a very convenient location, close to the airport and train stations.

The only negative was that in early May, the A/C is not operational, and the windows have no screens. I would have liked to open the windows wider at night to cool the room down, but didn’t want any feathery friends joining me in my room.

The breakfast is wonderful!!

Clean & comfortable though facilities rather basic

The room was clean and quiet, and the bed sufficiently comfortable. It lacked any tea/coffee-making facilities or information such as found in UK hotels. The shower was very compact, and the wash basin lacked a plug. Buffet breakfast was acceptable if not exciting, the ‘hot’ options however were at best lukewarm. On waking on what should have been the last day of my stay I found that my flight home had been cancelled due to the Heathrow fire. I was very grateful that the receptionist was able to quickly extend my stay for an extra night.

Booked a small room since I had a long layover and was able to check in very late to get some rest before my next flight. The breakfast was good, and the staff was always very helpful. There are many restaurants near the hotel and the train from the airport is only a few minutes walk. Only negative is the shower is very small but other than that everything was perfect. The area around the hotel feels very safe.

This was out last stop on our way to the airport after a long and beautiful vacation so my review many be tainted by recent experiences.
The hotel staff was very nice, but the accommodations were a little rough. The room was comfortable enough, but a bright light shined through our window all night long until about 6:00 a.m. It was too bright in our room. If you stay there, ask for a room that is not on the street side. Furthermore, someone was smoking in their room throughout the night and continue to set off smoke detectors. The management was finally able to get them to stop, but it made it difficult to get a good nights sleep. This was not the fault of the management nor the hotel. Overall, it was close to the airport and had lots of places to eat nearby, so it served its purpose.
