A fantastic, spotless spot with all the essential amenities for a comfortable stay. The mountain views are breathtaking! Dead Man's Flats is small and quiet, but the walkability to local gas stations and the coffee shop is a massive perk. Management was professional and responsive, and you can't beat how close it is to the drive into Banff.

1) communication with your front desk is essential, provide a phone number
2) instructions for so many things is definitely needed such as how to operate the locks on the door, how to operate the TV, fireplace and most importantly how to use the furnace.
It’s very frustrating having to take the time to figure all this out. We’re there to relax and enjoy - not figure out how everything works!
3) the couch where we were staying was leather I think and it was extremely worn plus had huge holes & tears in it. Not impressed!
4) the patio furniture was old and very worn as well. We could see the unit right beside us was much newer and looked so much nicer!
5) emptying our own garbage is ridiculous, that should be the cleaning crews job, not ours !!!!! We tried but couldn’t even find the proper place to dispose of the garbage!

Stayed at this property many times in the past and really enjoyed it, this time not so much, becoming run down, showing age and show the fact that most of property units are now Air BNBs. Now maid service for clean towels and you take out your own garbage, not used to that when paying for a hotel!! No one at front desk all day to ask question if need anything. So if want the hotel experience this property is no longer it.

The room we booked had tears on the couch, hair on the sheets in the bed, filthy and not ready for occupancy. The staff was helpful in making another room work but than cable in the building we were moved to was out and we were not informed about it. The list goes on and the only redeeming part of the trip was how the staff tried their best to make it work

In our unit a little bit of maintenance is required, fan did not work in the bathroom and neither did the light above the stove. I would have liked our own bbq but the community ones were excellent. Bare minimum kitchen utensils but had all the main ones. Seems like a lot to complain about but to be honest it’s a very good place to stay everything else was excellent and would definitively stay there again

I loved the suite even though it was a little dated. I was very disappointed that I specifically booked this hotel for the night after I snowboarded all day to be able to soak in the hot tub but the hot tub was closed and we never received any notice that it wouldn't be available for our stay. Also, it's not clear how to get to the main building etc. from your room building. I also went to the gym which wasn't fantastic. It asked you to clean the machines but only provided a gross/used towel and the gym bathroom didn't have the paper towel filled etc. I just expected a lot more from the resort especially given that I picked it thinking it would be a lot more swank than it was. Location was good though and the room had everything I needed.

The room was very clean and we were pleased with the overall space. We did find that our unit was minimally stocked with “essential” items. There was only 1 drying towel, no spatula, or oven mitts or any kind of kitchen products like aluminum foil or parchment. When you are travelling away from home it is nice not to have to pack things like that. We were also looking forward to using the hot tub on our last morning and made our way outside only to find the hot tub being refilled. I didn’t receive any notification that this would be done.

Our accommodations were very clean. It was a beautiful location. The kitchen had everything we needed for our meals. The queen bed was very comfortable. The chairs had a little wear and tear on them and we had to request a few extra blankets as the sofa bed only had one very thin blanket. Our request, though, was attended to right away and it was no problem. Overall it was a nice place to stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the free underground parking was great!

Only 7 minutes to Canmore and great for pets! Our room was clean and very spacious for a group of 6, it was very quiet and the amenities are great!
Only negative was the upstairs showers don’t drain, and the beds are old and creaky/too soft with flat hard pillows. Could use a few updates to the bedding and towels but other than that everything was great and made for a fun mountain getaway!

Our room had a very strong smell of fish coming from the bathroom. Was really gross. Overall the room was comfortable and well kept. The bathroom vent cover also fell off randomly and the bathroom fan did not work to help vent the bathroom.

Staff gave us the the wrong room number when we got there late at night and we ruined someone else's sleep. the reception desk is only open from 12 to 10pm so you can't talk to anyone and everything is handled over the phone.

It was amazing awesome stay had a great time. There was one thing that was bad we were right above the garage door for the unground parking so you heard the door and the garbage cans going up and down and the laundry carts so that hard for having dogs as well. And they were working on the suite next door too.

I booked this spot for myself and 6 other friends to stay after a backpacking trip in the mountains for the hottub. We get checked in and were informed that the hottub is out of order. Just happened to be unfortunate timing on that regard, the management was very nice about that situation. In the unit itself, the microwave was broken, the TV didn’t work properly (couldn’t connect the wifi to the tv to watch a movie together) and the showers didn’t have any shampoo or body wash in the despensers… just conditioner was filled. The bedding was clean, bathrooms were clean and the kitchen was nice though, lots of seating area and space for 7 of us with all of our backpacking gear. Honestly I’ve stayed in this resort more than once, and have loved it in the past and this time it was only okay. I will still consider to stay here again

The unit was well equipped, clean, safe & quiet for a weekend stay. It's in a very quiet area, 7 minute drive from Canmore which is fine provided you're aware that it is not walkable into town. There were no USB ports in the unit and we forgot to take our plugs so weren't able to charge devices. There was no window covering over the back door which was uncomfortable since the hideabed was in plain view of the window. We requested extra blankets as there weren't any in the room. But would stay here again

Parking was safe and secure. Hot tub was clean and lovely. Our condo had broken drinking glasses in it as well as a broken hide a bed. The bedding had some rips and the pillows were few and flat.

The underground parking is very convenient, although staying in Dead Man’s Flats is not the most convenient if everything you’re doing is in BNP or JNP. Room was clean although views were not that exciting (I.e. looking onto/into the other buildings) and luckily we didn’t spend much time in the unit as we wanted to see the spectacular views that the parks offer. There are really no dining options in DMF so it was great to have a full kitchen available.

This was a very cute condo unit. The unit was well outfitted with a seperate bedroom and a kitchen. Our big issue was on this nice property with views of the mountains, we had the one unit with a view of a garbage dumpster. Why they would put the dumpster in the front of the property right in front of one of one of the unit windows is beyond me. Not only did it block out half the view but it was also noisy as the dumpster was cleared multiple times. Definitely made it not worth the money for us.

We had two nights stay in this resort in-the last week July 2025. Quite spacious for accommodating 8-9 people. Living area is very nice, lots of seating and spacious but definitely missing a powder room or small washroom. Always had to climb upstairs to use 2 attached bathrooms with bed rooms on upper level. Stairs going upstairs need some marking to distinguish steps of the same colour. Overall had a great experience staying there!

It was great after I had to convince front desk clerk that our room with a sofa bed needed more than a cheap thin blanket and sheet for my sister to sleep on it! Thankfully he found a couple more thin blankets for that first night. The next day when we returned from our excursions we found a full package of bedding with a duvet included in our room! Yay! Wonderful stay other than that.

Great alternative to staying directly in Canmore or Banff, with it being very close. The kitchen and spacious rooms were perfect for our specific needs and desire to cook meals. The supplies are okay in the kitchen, and we were able to manage. The coffee shop next door is excellent quality. It was a peaceful and private environment. Overall, we were very happy with the stay and the staff was very helpful.
