Elevator was not the best. Long wait times and would never stop on the floor needed.
My check-in wasn’t provided which caused much delay on getting to my room. Extra facecloths would have been nice. Otherwise it was a good property. Check your booking platforms. I didn’t and paid double to what my niece paid.

The room we had was great a met our needs perfectly. The hallway was under construction which had noticeable noise during the day (nothing in the evenings). The only really frustrating part was all of my stuff said check-in was 4pm…but at 4pm no door code came (and turned out the room wasn’t completely ready at 4pm)…had to call in and found out check-in was 5pm?!??…that was the first I had heard of 5pm. Thankfully we did get in a little before 5pm and just made it for our dinner reservation in Banff (would not have been rushed if the 4pm I had planned things around was accurate). All in all it didn’t affect our overall stay but it was a frustrating start to the trip.

It was a horrible stay. The unit itself was disgusting. We notified staff the day we got there about multiple things broken. They told us to email the owner. We did. No issues were solved and nothing was resolved. I would never stay here again and will let others know

Kitchen was not properly stocked. No salt, pepper, sugar, oil, etc. When we asked for it, they brought us small sachets instead of actual shakers. Laundry washer was dirty and had a smell to it. Shower faucets were dirty/rusted.

Also parking is not designated and not guaranteed. We had to find parking outside which was far one night. And no smart tv.

For the price, they are charging i’d recommend looking at other properties. This places needs a few updates.

The pool is tiny and very busy. We booked primarily to have an indoor pool for the kids and this was a huge disappointment.

The price you think you are paying is NOT accurate - they charge $150 extra for cleaning.

They have ZERO flexibility with check-in or check-out.

Never saw any staff no one at the front. They never sent my check in information as promised. Not sure why I have to chase them down to receive check in instructions it should have been provided to me. The phone number is rarely answered, when they do they promise to send items to the room then they never show. Very frustrating and poor service. We knew there was no check in desk but they are very slow and lazy getting back to people. We liked the room but also they say it sleeps 6 and there’s no way it sleeps more than 4. The signage is horrible we couldn’t find the gym or the pool you’re forced to walk around the parkade in your bathing suit looking for the pool with no signs around. The floor is very slippery and unsafe!

The room was clean but needs a refresh as the colours were tired. The patio was disappointingly small and because it had a solid wood railing instead of glass there was literally no view unless you were standing. I wouldn't pay the extra room fee for a suite with a view next time. I would recommend that directions to the ice machine be posted somewhere in each suite, or near the elevators as it was difficult to find. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The location is great; you can walk to downtown and most shops/restaurants.

Elevator not working morning of our departure, had to cart my own gear down 5 flights of stairs to get out. Was not able to reach anyone from the hotel by phone. This really makes me concerned about their ability to keep us safe in an emergency. No one has reached out to us about the incident so far.

The boiler was out and we were without hot water for the full two days. In addition, the unit was less than clean and was missing lightbulbs in fixtures, TV controllers and the fireplace controller. Things were generally rundown.

We’ve been there numerous times over the years and it’s hard to see the property in such disarray.

Pros: Easy remote check-in process, large condo, modern style, nice location, great underground parking, nice indoor pool/spa.

Cons: Nobody on-site for troubleshooting. Had a wine fridge, but no corkscrew. Missing remote for fireplace (couldn't turn on). Would have been nice to have someone onsite to fix/help with such issues.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom Suite and have nothing but good things to say about the rooms. The resort is getting older so they are going to have to invest some of the profits back in to the facilities soon, it is showing its age.
The check in process was great as it is all done electronically, there is a staff at the front desk during business hours if you do need something.
We were disappointed with the 10:00 am checkout.
There is definitely a lack of luggage racks.

Parking was awful and we received a note on our car saying we were not allowed to park in the hotel even though we were staying there.

There were lots of things. The fridge was missing a handle so it was difficult to open. The blinds on the patio doors fell off when we tried to open them. There was very little toilet paper so we ended up having to buy our own. The wine fridge didnt work. The dishwasher wasnt even installed so we had to be careful loading it as it tipped out and the broken tab on the top cut my finger. Several burnt out or missing lights. All in all very run down and not maintained. Wouldnt stay here again.

For a 6 person condo they only have 1 parking pass
And in order to get the parking pass you need to check into your room and they did not accommodate another parking pass so they ask you pay in the parkade
The entire place is poorly marked and is a giant maze and there is no front desk to help you. And they did not reply to my messages but will call you asking for a credit card even though the self check in online didn’t let me add one

The pillows are super thick and uncomfortable and the mattress is stiff and hard to sleep on. The room was 1000 degrees and said temperature was adjusted but nothing changed.

The fireplace was loud and making noise that we couldn’t use it. There was no hot water in the mornings. There is no blackout blinds in the bedroom. The pool area is in a separate building and had to go outside or into the parkade for access. Loved Canmore but won’t stay here again.

Checking in was stressful as there is no on-site front desk everything is online, with a toddler crying and driving down from out of town with crappy weather my checking was stressful. The suite was really spacious and clean. We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed. This was our second time staying here, will definitely come back.

Beds were too soft for my comfort.

The two bedroom suite was lovely, but rather over priced for off season.

If you're wanting something close to the town, be prepared to walk 20 minutes to reach the centre.

I had no opportunity to use the pool or other services, so have no comment. The room itself was very clean and the view of the mountains was nice.

We had several issues. I booked 2 rooms together but they ended up placing our two rooms in separate buildings. When we asked to put us in same building, one of our rooms was smaller, smelled like smoke and one bathtub broken. We were told no other choice if in same room. The room that was as we expected, (C213), several appliances were broken. The oven made a noice and under heated but wouldn’t cool down when shut off. The blender was broken and there was mouldy food in our cupboard.

We had no choice so dealt with all of it, but were disappointed that the hotel staff would not find us two rooms together at a satisfactory level.

I was given discount on the insufficient room so appreciated that.

One bedroom condo style unit. Liked the upscale kitchen appliances and the two fireplaces. Very clean. King bed was comfortable. Washroom had tub and stand alone shower with jets on three walls. Lots of room in the hot tube. Good location. Would stay there again.

The chairs in the living room are worn and all the leather is peeling off. The living room fire place didn’t work. The bathrooms constantly smelt of urine from the minute we checked in and the pool water was green and reeked of chlorine (make your eyes burn) For the price of the rooms other selections will be made next time.

We’ve stayed at the Solara many times and have always enjoyed the living area and full kitchen. However, this stay was disappointing. The unit showed noticeable wear on the furniture and carpet, and overall cleanliness made me feel inclined to wear slippers the entire time. It was also quite noisy - we could hear neighbours, vehicles, and ongoing construction.

The lighting in the unit was very dim, especially in one of the bathrooms. Our self check-in experience was frustrating, as we didn’t receive the proper instructions. The phone number provided in our email didn’t work, and we eventually had to ask a random person for help to get the correct contact information. We’re both tech-savvy, so the issue wasn’t due to user error.

Apple AirPlay didn’t work on the TV, which was another inconvenience. On the positive side, the location is great, and several restaurants are within walking distance. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub this time. Overall, though, we left feeling disappointed with this visit.

Mountain view was awesome and the actual property was great. However, they were supposed to give us out check in code at 4pm-which we were there for then they didn't, I tried messaging (they completely ghosted me) and tried calling the number but the mail box was full. They gave the code 20 minutes late (those 20 minutes were spent worrying that we had some how been scammed) and then would not answer me about a late checkout-after all they owed me 20 minutes.

The check-in process is painful. The elevator didn’t work. No one really explained how to check in or check out of the building. They say they sent stuff via text message that was never delivered. The building is very dated and rundown fixtures were ripped out of the wall in our room. The carpet is ripped and dents and dings in the wall. Fingerprints on everything. I went to wipe a mess off the floor and was disgusted with the black color of the cloth Indicating how filthy the kitchen floor is. This is a property in desperate need of a renovation and way overpriced for what is there? I would not recommend staying there and I would never stay there again.

I booked two bed room for 8 people, one king , two Queen and one sofa bed, but when I check in in front desk they give me two bed room , but with only one king and one queen, I have to squeeze me and my husband in a one queen size, I talked to front desk, but they side they don’t have room for 8 people. They side it is Expedia got wrong.

All was great except one glitch — we were told the aurora building would be under renovation, yet it was not said the elevator was not working. We were on the 3rd floor (actually 6-flights of stairs) and it was a rad bit of a pain. Although the hotel tried to make it fun, as if we were doing a step challenge:!) The place itself was great. Good linens, all amenities, super location, walking distance to Canmore village — comfy beds, good shower and really nice landscape.

The aurora building elevator was not working so we had to take the stairs each time. Also, check in for the property in the beginning was difficult since there is no front desk and wanted like me to take a picture of myself prior to check in which could not upload on the Expedia message. Email did not go through whoever agent was asking for it for check in and the lady at the other end of the line barely spoke proper English.Also, the Spa is not “connected” to the resort, it’s its own separate entity even though it’s right there next to the resort. you need to pay extra for and took a rather long time to sign up. However, the pool and hot tub come with the resort and was rather nice

WEDDING NIGHT RUINED!!

Stayed in Aurora building. Elevator broken, so in my WEDDING DRESS we were instucted to go through series of hallways, walk into and through the parking garage and then through stairwells that they were doing work on (filthy as result) and had scaffolding set up and blocks half of stairwell that you have to navigate around & through (in a wedding dress). Dress ruined now. So filthy from the parking garage & stairwell. Reading reviews, elevator has been broken for over 2 months!!!!! Are you kidding me?! Wanted to go outside after but couldnt because not even sure how to get out from the long navigating instructions given to get there and they would have had me sitting crying in a wedding dress in the garage lost unable to find my room ever again. Maybe I should have done that, then maybe they would given a care!
Also they were aware it was wedding night months ahead became was written in instuctions that was wedding night when asked for late checkout, to which the reply was they dont do ealry check in (so obviously they struggle with reading & comprehension as well.)
I also went to \"pre check in\" (give them all the info needed so didn't have to after the wedding) since booked under me & wasnt sure if I would send someone for keys prior during photos and total waste of my time on my WEDDING DAY as they seemed to know nothing about it later and had to do it all over again on our wedding night. We spent so much $ and they ruined our wedding night, such a special only once night.

Really nice and spacious condos. In our experience, you can't check in until 4pm and you have to check out at 10am. This does impact the value a little if you're only staying for one or two nights. You are only able to park one car in the parkade, any other additional vehicles would need to go on the street.

This property was conveniently located. The outside of the building is charming. The elevators were not working, apparently since March (we were there in June). Carrying our luggage up a few flights of steps was not easy. It was loud and hard to sleep, kids were screaming outside in between buildings at midnight. The hotel was clean, but outdated.

Our room was located on the main floor in the bow lodge. There was a ventilation system right outside our patio. We could not sit outside on the patio which was part of the room. The thermostat could only be set to 20 degrees. Could not open the window due to the noise outside and window latch was broken. The hairdryer was also broken with exposed wires…fire/electrical hazard. Will not stay here again. Blackstone Mountain lodge is way better!

Ramp and key access issues

Everything was wonderful, but our door code didn't work which lead to a lot of issues.

The ramp in the parkade needs repair and you are unable to easily pass the luggage cart to the elevator, it was a 4 person job. Then when we arrived at the door the coded didn't work due to mechanical failure. The only solution was to use the hotel fob, which meant only one access key between four adults doing different activities throughout the weekend. This really made things logistically difficult. It was a damper on what would have otherwise been a very pleasant stay.

Please ensure to fix the elevator/parkade ramp to ensure accessibility to all guests.

Had a great “apartment size suite” for an amazing price. Including full kitchen with island, separate living/bedroom and even laundry and an outdoor coveted deck with bbq. Amazing value. Used the spa as well which was fantastic! Definitely recommend it!
