Room was great and spacious. Loved that it had a kitchen and BBQ. Location was good and easily walkable to all main areas. Had difficulty accessing front desk staff later in the evening (before the desk was supposed to close). A bit disappointed in a fee for late checkout if room was available.
Overall great space with some small customer service issues. Would return.

Honestly, the online impression of the property was nothing like the reality.
*setting of the place is photoshopped and edited
*it was like staying at Motel 6
*the property feels like it's under construction and not, yet, open
*entrance was dark and dreary and the first thing you see is a sign denoting it is under construction
*the view from my room included major construction vehicles and a huge pile of dirt
*stairway is in disrepair with torn wallpaper
*you can't open the screened window

I just can't re ommend this place.

It is advertised as a « resort « and charge you the price of it…..but in the building we were at, no sauna, hot tub, no swimming pool, no spa! The room was clean. The restaurant at the main building food was good. Only open at 0800 so no breakfast availability if you’re a early starter like us. The view- very small deck looking at a parking lot and construction site. No staff on site of this building. But The Check in staff were kind in the other building.

Only two elevators at the property, the closest elevator was broken and we had to walk a very long way to the other side of the building to get down. Hard to find a bell cart.in the building, had to carry our luggage and stuff to the room. Room number was printed on a piece of paper and taped on the door. Air conditioning didn't work in the room, had to call several times and found out we couldn't adjust the room temperature because it's centralized. Staff offered to bring the fans to our room, by the time we received the fans was already at 23:30. Overall, not worth for the money we spent. Location is good, beautiful view at the balcony.

It is like residential apartment and on the construction dirty and all the furniture it’s too old, not valued for the price, totally cost over $210 per night. Check in at 4 pm late than normal at 3 PM, and check out at 10 earlier than normal at 11 am. Overall not satisfy for the experience and price.

Pros: easy parking, within walking distance to a lot of good food, room was clean, the view of the mountains was beautiful, the maintenance man was very nice, and it was dog friendly

Cons: it was very loud. We could hear everything our neighbors on the side and above were doing. The room is bare minimum, no table to eat on or play cards. On the morning of checkout we walked to get breakfast and came back at 9AM but our key card wouldn’t let us into the building. I went back to reception to get it fixed and when I came back it still didn’t work. I went back FOUR times because every time it still didn’t work! Our breakfast was cold when we finally got into the room around 9:30 and we had to rush to pack and check out. Not a good last impression!

Never had a worse stay. Booking the hotel we thought the rooms looked great online and th upon check in the put us all in a shady building that was not even in the hotel we booked. Rooms were outdated, smelled like mold, beds were terrible, rooms were hot and shower was moldy. Avoid at all costs. Also came knocking on the door at 9:30 several times asking us to leave soon as check out is 10 am. They called at 9:55 asking us to leave. Also no parking and charge $20 per key card if you don’t return in check out. Also, no use of pool if they don’t put you in the nice part of the hotel.

The 2-bedroom suite in the main hotel was used by our daughter and family. It was very roomy, just like home with a couch, chair, TV and table and 2 chairs. The bedrooms were great with a queen bed in one and a king bed in the other. The kitchen had cooking utensils, a stove and big fridge. Perfect for our needs. There was even a BBQ on the deck. The restaurant was great - we ate there twice. The pool witha waterslide and a kid's pool, along with a beautiful indoor/outdoor hottub was perfect! We would love to stay there again.

Positives: the location is good. We booked the 2 bedroom and the rooms were a nice size. It was nice to have access to a full kitchenette and the fireplace was nice. The pool area was massive and great for kids of all ages.

Downsides: check in wasn't super efficient, and it is annoying that no one is available after hours.
The hot tub was nice the first day, but got gradually colder the second, until it was as cold as the pool the third day. Doesn't seem like anyone is monitoring the temperature daily? When the front desk was told, they didn't seem bothered.
The kids splash pool is also incredibly cold and it was a bit annoying that the only towels available had to be brought from our room. It also wasn't made clear that towels needed to be brought from the rooms at check in.
Our room was right next to the pool entrance, so we heard constant slamming doors from 8am to 10pm.
The rooms were quite dark and the bathrooms did not seem well maintained. One of them had a lingering smell, and the shower units weren't very clean.
We had access to a deck area. Which was nice, but there was metal strapping strewn about.

Finally, the fact that check in is late (4pm) and check out is early (10am) isn't ideal.

The room was good and so was the pool. But they charged us another $21 unexpectedly when we checked in. There’s also three different door codes you need, losing the key is $20 and you get 1 towel each per day for the pool (which just seemed like a weird rule). It just felt like there was a lot of rules that weren’t there previously as we have stayed here multiple times before. Most likely won’t book with Grande Rockies again and instead book with one of the other companies that run out of there.

We weren’t in the main lodge, but where we were was definitely just a place to sleep if you’re skiing or visiting for the day. The beds are double beds. The bathroom was very nice but the place is very sterile and cold. There is no mat to wipe your wet shoes on when you get in from the snow. And everything is very basic. Good enough place to stay if you just want somewhere to sleep.

The room was neglected. The kitchen faucet constantly leaked, the ensuite dryer was broken, the room smelled of mildew, the curtain in the bedroom was broken.
There was no coffee, sugar or cream in the room (was told you had to pay at the restaurant for cream)
The front desk staff (Raj) was condescending, abrupt and rude when we asked for help.
The pictures of the suite showed a stand alone soaker tub (no soaker tub in the room) and we were told that kind of room didn’t exist.
We were told ice was a charge of $5.00 a bag,
The tiles at the pool were lifting and cutting hazard on your feet.
Underground parking was extremely limited and very tight stalls (the passenger had to get out before parking in the stall.
The room was dirty on arrival (white stains on the chairs, curtains, and bath curtain.
We were told check out was at 11:00 but we got called by phone saying to leave at 10:00 and then a knock on the door saying we needed to leave before 11.
No house keeping during our entire 3 night stay.

It was an awful stay. We did not feel welcome, relaxed, or comfortable in the dirty and poorly maintained space. When we asked to switch rooms we were told they were fully booked (valentines weekend) and for us to find another hotel would be impossible. We are from hours away..

Front desk staff were not helpful or accommodating. Underground parking will not accommodate an suv with a ski box, we were told to park in another area, that was also full.
Upon check in, we were not told the elevator near our room was not functioning, which was not helpful given how far the rooms are away from reception. It’s really a 3 star hotel trying to be upscale with the renovations.

Room was in decent condition, they are in the middle of doing renos. Our room was recently painted, paint spots all over the floor, and had a strong odour, looked like everything was quickly put back together. We kept our patio door open as much as we could, luckily it was nice outside. Room wasn’t very clean, finger prints everywhere, dirty floors especially in bathroom, foot prints in shower, furniture especially couch was very stained and quite disgusting, coffee makers could use and update. Resort was ok, kids liked the pool area, good breakfast in restaurant. Resort staff wasn’t the most friendly but overall decent stay.

Unfortunately nowhere in our booking did it say we were in the Annex building until our check in. With this room we had no access to the property amenities listed, I.e. the pool and hot tub. Despite, in the room itself, there was a sign speaking to the “pool towels”.
The bathroom also had red/pink mold in the ceiling and black mold in the shower. At check out the lady was on a personal call and didn’t even end it to help me. She said something to the man and he stopped talking. The phone was on speaker. Very unfortunate and we likely won’t try to stay here again. We had one previous experience that was ok too. I did explain already the checkin concern. The staff member was great but with there being only one of her, we waited for a very long time. We have a 5 month old baby who needed a nap and a feed, waiting made it stressful for everyone.
The room was disgusting. It was sticky and stale, not cleaned very thoroughly. I snapped a few photos if you’d like to understand better. There is grime buildup on every door and frame, the kitchen cabinets and closets. The floor itself was so gross. At one point I spilled some water and used a paper towel to wipe it up, the paper towel came up nearly black with grime. Both showers need a good scrub and re-caulk. There is clearly mildew in each corner. Further, one of the showers barely worked.

You will loose lots of business. If you need to increase the price because of cost then put it on the price of the hotel. Everything was a charge, which I have come here for many years and that was not the case. Really, $25 for late check out per hour? Come on. Or the change that the pool
Isn’t available was the worst of them all from the Annex. It’s… if it’s the cost, put it in the price of the hotel.
Lots of hotel in the same situation with people needing to come from other building to go on the hotel, we will explore other options next year.

The staff were great but the 3 stars is due to several factors.
#1 - the rooms are showing their age (or at least ours was). The bathroom is in need of a renovation, the shower stall was cracked, the door was off the hinges and it was quite grimey (reflection of age, not cleaning).
#2 - the pool and hot tub need some repairs. There are lots of cracked, chipped and missing tiles.
#3 - the front desk is impossible to get ahold of by phone using the front desk button on the phone in the room, I used Expedia messenger to contact them.
#4 - I am not sure I like the direction the resort has taken. It's not really much of a resort now, but a condo apartment complex and guests are not really wanted. Parking is a nightmare. We booked through Expedia for a room owned by the resort (Bellstar) and we could only park in the parkade where we could find a Bellstar sign...which we never found more than one (I'm not saying there isn't more then one, but they were so far and few between we only ever found one). The rest of the stalls have signs all over them saying they are only for Paradise guests or unit ### etc.
#5 - the fact that as of Jan 1, 2026 guests staying in the annex won't be able to access resort ammenities like the pool and hot tub just doesn't sit well with me. A steep discount at Elevation place isn't good enough, I think the condo board is being greedy.
#6 - front desk staff are gone from 11pm to 7am, so if you need something between those hours you can only reach security.

The room was very small and not at all what I saw in pictures. When we arived the room was at 27°C and the AC and phone to call the desk didn't work. We went back to the front desk and they had someone come fix it for us. It was very loud and annoying to sleep with. One of the beds was very squeaky and they were both pretty uncomfortable. The parking was very tight and they would not allow us to have a second vehicle parked for free and no option to pay for parking on the grounds either. It was very inconvenient. Overall I would not recommend or stay there again. There are so many other options in Canmore!

It has gone downhill since we last stayed here. Pool and pool vents very dirty. They don't do housekeeping services and the signs on the front shine right in the terrible room we were given. When I asked to be moved they said they had nothing else and could not turn off any lights. Not all rooms have a balcony. Front desk staff said 1. I should of requested it. Then they said 2. I should of called. Then they said 3. I should of checked in earlier. Even though I did call from 2 hours away. So I was lied to by the staff 3 times and essentially blamed for booking a terrible room at this hotel. Do not stay in 292 ever , or take your business where they appreciate you . They also said the service and crappy room was because I booked with Expedia. They said I should of booked with them directly as Expedia is not a good way to book there.

I woke up to the secondary lock thankfully on banging into the door while someone was trying to enter my room. All I got was an apology, this is a massive safety problem.

Hotel was very well suited for a family visit to Canmore. Stayed in a 2 bedroom suite, was very adequate for a family of 4. I found the front counter staff to be quite rude and uninterested in providing a basic level of customer service. I would stay here again if the price was right, however would avoid if I could.
