We were assigned a room away from the main resort. It looked like a house that had rental units built to accommodate guests. Maybe the hotel bought this property because it was adjacent to it. The parking area was a field with big pot holes and ruts. The outside had very long grass and clutter everywhere, so quite messy. The room itself proved to be very clean and well serviced. Very satisfied with the room and level of cleanliness.

Paras at the front desk was very rude. I booked my room 6 months in advance with two queen beds. When I showed up she said I had been upgraded to a double bed with a kitchen. I told her I didn’t want a smaller bed. She said it was too bad and that it wasn’t a big difference. She said there were no other rooms available. Eventually her supervisor helped and of course a room with a queen was available. They should not take reservations if they will not honor them.

The room itself was not in good condition. There were long hairs and the glasses were smudged.

Stayed here for one night while visiting Banff. The room was clean and comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised to be given a room with two queen beds even though our booking showed one bed.

The highlight of the stay was definitely the view from the room. Waking up to the mountain scenery was fantastic and made the stay feel extra special.

The only minor disappointment was that the photos made it look like the room had a private balcony. In reality, it was more of a shared exterior deck/walkway used to access the rooms. It wasn't a big issue since we were only staying for one night, but the photos could be a little clearer on that point.

The shared hot tub was a nice bonus after a long day of exploring. It's on the smaller side, but it was still a great place to relax and unwind. Just be warned that the water gets quite hot, so most people probably won't want to stay in for very long. The area around the hot tub could also be kept a bit cleaner.

There isn't much within walking distance besides a couple of places to eat, but that's to be expected in this area. Overall, it was a great value stay. If you're planning to visit Banff and don't want accommodation costs to eat up your budget, Canmore is a beautiful place to stay and this property is a solid option.

Great location, dated property but has all the things you need in the room, restaurants, supermarkets, and Everwild Spa are less than five minute drive. Make sure to book early for better rates. Book the one bedroom loft if your party is 6+, there’s a lot of space and room comes with a full kitchen, microwave, full-sized fridge, as well as a fireplace and little outdoor area overlooking the mountain. Definitely a good option if you can book early.

Online booking agencies show photographs of a ski Lodge that give the impression of a charming mountain resort. Our room was located in a long row-style building that more closely resembled an aging motel strip. From the outside, the building appeared poorly maintained and was far less attractive than advertised.

While the room itself was reasonably clean, several aspects of our stay were disappointing. We were unable to use the television despite requesting assistance multiple times. We simply could not turn it on. Eventually, we gave up trying. The room telephone also did not work, preventing us from contacting the front desk directly. The bathroom fan was extremely loud, the toilet seat hinges were worn and in need of replacement, and the small nightstand between the beds was so low that we could not easily see the clocks we had placed on it.

Our room was located next to a staff service area, and late into the night we could hear what sounded like laundry equipment operating, making it difficult to enjoy a quiet night's sleep. Most of the front desk staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, with the exception of the overnight staff member, who was courteous and professional. When I mentioned some of these concerns to the owner at checkout, there was no apology or indication that the issues would be addressed.

To add to the frustration, the hotel refused to provide a printed copy

Nice location. Great view from balcony. Everything was nice and clean. Appreciate the no size limit on dogs. Provided dog beds for the dogs which was nice but their pet fee per night is a little high when you have two dogs. Room was a bit smaller than I thought it would be from the pics when I booked it. Lack of AC downstairs and the inability to turn the balcony light off at night so you could actually enjoy it at night would be my negatives.

I based my selection of this place on cost and reviews, it was rated an 8.2 which I thought was reasonable considering is was one of the cheapest I could find in the area. Although it was clean, it was extremely old and musty. The bed was the only thing that appeared to be replaced recently and was comfortable. I do not understand how this place could get an 8.2 overall rating.

Our unit was excellent—clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for our three-day stay. The view was beautiful with cafes and restaurants nearby.

Unfortunately, we experienced a significant issue with the kitchen sink. On our first day, it began leaking and repeatedly filled with dirty water, which appeared to be backing up from other units. This also caused dirty water to collect in the dishwasher as well.

I contacted the property’s support line immediately. They said they would send a maintenance technician as soon as possible, but no one arrived. After waiting, I had to call again to discuss alternative accommodations. They offered to move us to another unit, but only for one night, meaning we would have had to return to the original unit afterward.

The biggest frustration was the lack of communication. I had to repeatedly contact staff for updates rather than receiving proactive communication from them.

The maintenance technician eventually arrived early on our final day, just before checkout. By then, the repair was no longer useful to us. We also received no notice that he would be coming, so his arrival was unexpected.

Overall, the stay was okay, and we were able to work around the issue since we were only there for three days. However, for a longer stay, I would recommend considering other options unless communication and responsiveness improve.

Rooms are clean. They provide you with towels, pans, coffee maker, etc. Couldn't use the hot tub which I was looking forward too because it is occupied and it's small. But, that's okay. Staff were friendly and helpful. You could tell that the lodge is old but its maintained enough to what you pay. The appliances were clean and usable. Had some issues with the TV cable but we figured it out. Little to no noise of surroundings. Nice outside view of the mountains. Plenty of parking. You may not be able to park where your room is sometimes. Overall, awesome place. Would comeback again.

The rooms were big and that was nice, however the rooms are dated and have a bit of a smell to them. We had to open the windows to air the room out. A bit of a frustration was that upon arrival we had to sign off that our pet would not go to any of the pet restricted areas ( main shared areas)or be on any furniture. They claim to be pet friendly, however we didn’t feel welcome there with our pets . I have stayed at many hotels with my pet and never have had to sign off that my pet would not be allowed on any furniture or in any of the main shared areas outside. With so many restrictions on pets it does not feel like a pet friendly hotel.

Housekeeping wasn’t evident. Our disposable coffee cups from the previous day, nor the garbage bags were picked up. Save your money and stay at the Super 8 up the street. What a disappointment.

The whole room would smell coming back after a long day, so we had to crack the windows + turn on the fan for airflow. The AC unit was also pretty noisy when the fan was set to low and medium, so you had to run the fan at high for lowest amount of noise.

Over priced for the rates that they charge. Very outdated, lots of maintenance issues need correcting. Fan coming out of the ceiling, bits missing from the ceiling, curtains not properly attached to the valance, kitchenette item need to be updated and maintained. Rates need to be at least a third of current costs to reflect the condition of the hotel.

Small park is nice for littles, hot pool is a larger hot tub with less jets, nice to have a hot pool on site. Great location.

Hot tub has black buildup on the tiles, it hasn't been maintenanced for a long time. Either the filers are plugged or need to be cleaned. Many forgien objects floating in the hot tub. Very poor hygiene!!
The suite or 1 room apartment was quite dirty, there was hair on the inside sheets of the bed.
Although the front staff were helpful, the owners really need to re invest in better maintenance as well quality control. This has been our 3rd stay, over the last 3 years, we like the atmosphere. But without these implementation s, I dont see us staying here again. To the owners, your customers are your most valuable resource. Without us, your business will struggle, online feedback should be your guide to improving and building your business so it is a place customers will want to come back to, as well tell other people about the experience.

Close to town - walking distance to a coffee shop, brewery, cidery, bakery, and more. Very family friendly with a playground, communal BBQs, and a seaonal pool. Does allow for dogs but you have to keep them off of the furniture however they provide dog beds, a toy, and dog bowls. Room was dated but clean and comfortable. Onsite parking was easy and plentiful. Our room was a one bedroom walk out which made it very easy with the dogs as the bike path was steps away. Will stay again. Tip: if you are hungry Tavern 1883 has a dog friendly patio and 40% off everything during happy hour - their platter was enough food for us for almsot 2 full days.
