There is only one elevator, so it can be crowded or out of use as housekeeping uses it as well. The location was great for walking to areas of interest as well as a Roam bus stop was right outside. Roam buses are free in Canmore, so that is extra convenient. Our room was nice and there has been recent updates to the hotel.

We loved our stay here, we only wish we realized that pool access requires you to walk outside, past the restaurant patio. So wear shoes/sandals and had we known we would've worn the robe from the room or brought a cover up so as not to feel so awkward walking past people eating their meals haha. It was a fantastic stay overall though!!

Staff was friendly and helpful. For the price, it's a pretty basic room without even a wall clock or alarm clock (just a note saying to ask front desk if we needed a wake up call). For $466/night I would have preferred parking to be included. The room was basic and clean. Power outlets were lacking and if you're there to work, there's only a table and no real work desk.

Very accommodating staff, bedroom clean and tidy. The pool was good, but the hot tub wasn't working. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but went to a great burger place (Patty's )in the square opposite. You pay for parking, $10.00 a night+gst.
About a 30 minutes walk to the centre.

Enjoyed our short stay but weren't at the hotel long enough to enjoy the facilities. Room was clean and spacious. No drawers though you can ask for a hanging cupboard. Restaurant was good. Staff friendly. Easy to walk into town and some shops and bars nearby if needed.
Airport transport drops off and picks up from here.

Staff were courteous and friendly, especially Mijala & Mikala at the reception. The staff at the restaurant that served us our VIP drinks were also very friendly and attentive. We should have taken their names too; one was an Australian lady, and the other was a Filipino man.
The beds were comfy and clean. The rooms and the bathrooms were clean too.

I booked this hotel through Expedia for a two-night stay in Canmore and paid close to $800 for what I believed would be a comfortable, standard room experience. Unfortunately, my stay was extremely disappointing.

Upon arrival, I was placed in an adjoining room with incredibly thin walls. The soundproofing was virtually nonexistent — I could hear every conversation, movement, and noise from the room next door. The neighbouring guests were very loud, and their child was screaming and yelling for long periods of time. The disturbance became so disruptive that I had to call security twice during my stay.

To make matters worse, the room itself did not feel clean or well maintained, which was especially disappointing considering the premium price paid.

The following morning, I spoke with hotel staff and asked why I had been placed in an adjoining room when I had paid full price for a regular room. I was told the hotel was fully booked due to a conference and that availability was limited. While I appreciate that hotels get busy, guests paying premium rates should still receive an acceptable room experience and not feel penalized because of occupancy issues.

Because of the noise, poor room quality, and lack of rest, I made the decision to leave one night early. Unfortunately, I was not refunded for the unused night and was told that because the booking was made through Expedia, the hotel could not provide a refund.

Nice restaurant at the hotel. Rooms are nicely updated and the fresh mountain air is enjoyable. Note that you have to pay for parking. We did use the pool and jacuzzi; they were reasonable - bring a robe because you have to had outside to access this.

Sadly the room wasn’t cleaned properly, the worst experience was pulling the sheets down and seeing a lot of human hair, I was exhausted, slept in my clothes, on top of the covers, took pictures and informed the front office staff in the morning. Complaint was forwarded to the front office manager who called me and left a voicemail with his apology. No further action or compensation has happened yet. I will be sending my complaint to Coast Hotels upper manager as the uncleanliness was unexceptionable. The bathroom was also not cleaned properly. Extremely turned off from this negative experience.

Overall our experience at Coast was good. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
We sat outside on the patio for several hours and enjoyed the pleasant staff and amazing views of the mountains. Breakfast was delicious both mornings. I liked that you could choose à la cart.
Only complaint was check in which took far too long with inexperienced staff. However the manager did rectify this on check out.
Location was easy walk into Main Street.
Overall a good experience.

This is a great hotel especially if you are getting the Banff Airporter bus from Calgary or Banff as it stops at this hotel in Canmore. The hotel is an easy walk to downtown or you can get a bus at the front door. The staff are great.They gave me a late check out for free. The restaurant is very good as well especially for lunch up to 4pm. Bus to Banff 2 minutes walk and local buses free.

I rarely write reviews, but we just stayed 5 nights here and I wanted to love it so much more than I did. Our housekeeping was so inconsistent. They came every day, but there was always things missed. If they refreshed our towels then the beds were left unmade. If the beds were made then we were left with zero towels. If the beds and towels were done, then the full garbage cans weren’t emptied. The common areas in the hotel were beautiful, but the rooms are very basic. Kind of feel like cheap ikea furniture. Some staff were very friendly, some were rude. I’ve stayed a lot of places in Canmore and for the price there are definitely better hotels out there.

Our first room was right beside the elevator (not ideal) but we thought we’d see how it went. Got settled into the room and decided to watch a movie. Couldn’t get the tv to work. Hotel personnel couldn’t get it to work either after a couple trips to our room. They moved us to another room… by this time we had about an hour left before we were going to sleep. Didn’t realize how out of the way the pool was and you had to go outside. Other than that, it was ok. Not worth $300! Won’t be back for another stay.

The hotel is a bit dated, but everything was clean and the staff were very friendly. The swimming pool and gym are located in a separate building, so you need to walk outside to access them. The location is excellent, with plenty of great food and brunch spots nearby, and it’s only a few minutes’ walk to downtown.

Rooms are clean and staff are friendly. Housekeeper took the dirty towels but didn't replace on the second day. However, as soon as we contacted front desk about it, they came back with the towels fairly quickly.

The hotel was clean and the room was nice. Check in is late at 4pm. It’s usually 3pm which isn’t ideal, especially when travelling with kids. You have to pay $10+ for parking which I wasn’t aware of - not the end of the world. Also the pool is exterior to the hotel in a different building with only very small change rooms. This makes it difficult to swim or use the hot tub. Bring a robe!

The overall stay was okay. Our room was located on the 1st floor and appeared to need some minor updates e.g. outlet covers did not cover the cutouts completely and looked somewhat unsafe for use, thermostat was hanging off the wall and the furniture needed some updating. We found the restaurant expensive, however the staff who greeted us were very nice and the hotel, including the room was very clean.

We needed a room for 3 nights and it was fine. However the building is dated and I suspect its wood construction so you will hear things you shouldn’t. We had to listen to our neighbour’s bathroom fan. You will hear it in your room until someone turns it off.
