The room needs some major updates, some things are falling apart. Heating control in the living room was not good; a warm living room resulted in the bedroom feeling like a sauna. Check-in is at 5 and check-out at 10 AM, strange hours. BBQ didn't get very hot when it was +5 outside, took forever to cook a steak. On the plus side, spacious accommodation, nice balcony and view, good location and OK value for the money with free parking.

Location was ideal but there were minor cleanliness issues. We had some towels with stains, bed sheet had a stain on the bottom, and some holes in the bed sheet as well. We ended up just washing them in the washing machine on our own but it was inconvenient.

The unit was very clean, the check in safe member was very friendly and helpful. The suite is a bit dated but well kept, like most older condos there is not always electrical outlets where you need them now (like near the beds to plug in phones and things) but not really a big deal. Location is great.

We stayed here becuse it’s difficult to find pet friendly accommodations in Canmore. I had read the reviews so was aware there could be issues but was willing to try it out since we needed to bring our dog. The check-in process is confusing, and there is no parking at the unit once you do find it. It’s outdoor parking in another lot, which is not amazing when it’s -30 and very icy. The whole building is dingy and smells heavily of cigarette smoke. There were blood droplets on the carpet in the hallway and on our patio when we checked in along with some other weird droplets. The unit was worn out the towels rough and stained. The bed was really lumpy and uncomfortable and the sheets were also very rough. The heat was off in our unit but it was so hot in there we had to open the windows in -30 and we were still to hot. It was also really loud with a variety of ongoing sounds all night. We did not sleep. We booked for two nights but decided to leave after one. Always disappointing when you pay so much for a weekend away. I let them know we checked out early and provided some feedback, things I already had noticed were said many times in these reviews. They said we should have let them know however I’m not sure what they could have done about any of this really. They offered us zero discount or refund which is not a surprise. We had of course also paid the extra pet fees for both nights and a $40 dollar early checkin fee to be able to check in before 5pm.

The condo itself is beautiful. The rooms and kitchen are spacious. The view of Rundle, Cascade, Lady Mac etc are incredible.

I was not aware that this building is one of many properties owned by the management company. It was a gong show checking in. The check in location is not at this building. It is on Sidney street.

You have to drive in circles trying to find parking that is not immediately at the building. The expectation is that you park in a loading zone to drop off your stuff and then move your vehicle to ground level parking but finding out where you can park is a communication nightmare that involves calling back and forth to the front desk. We have a pickup truck which wouldn’t fit in a single parking spot available.

The pool is actually in a different building which wouldnt be a big deal in warm weather but during the winter with a baby is a stressful hassle. I wish I had investigated this prior to booking as I would have booked a different hotel.

There are also some funny rules that made me laugh. Cooking food with an odour is subject to a fine.

The parking lots were extremely slippery. This was concerning for our elderly family travelling with us. Staff were a little aggressive when a payment discrepancy occurred. Tried to eat breakfast in the morning but no staff showed up to open the restaurant at their scheduled opening time. On a positive note, the kids really enjoyed the pool!

Finding the condo and instructions to enter the building was confusing. Handicap parking is not clearly identified and was usually used by vehicles with out stickers.

Entrance into condo was dark and needed some TLC but once arrived to the room it was a nice.

The cleanliness of the place when we checked in was not good. The place had been poorly cleaned and it made for a terrible first impression. Then we found out the pool they advertised in the listing was in the Grand Rockies resort which is a totally different facility and we had to walk across the street to access it. When I informed the staff of the poor cleanliness they didn’t seem to really care and they said we could have a refund and leave if we wanted but it was later in the day so we decided to stay and asked for new pillow cases and sheets which they supplied us but we had to remake the bed and change the pillow cases ourselves. The robes they gave us also had holes and it kinda smelled like stale smoke in the suite as well. With so many great options in Canmore I don’t think I would stay here again.

I would not call it a luxury one bedroom. The sheets were not good quality; very stiff. If you turned on the fireplace, the air conditioning would leak onto the mantle.

the kiddie pool was a bit run down, but we

Not as advertised, a completely different room!

When my family and I found a great room to rent the week before Christmas, we couldn't wait to arrive. When we did, the room was not even remotely close to what was advertised and pictured. We thought we were arriving to a modern, sleek, updated room with an island, in-suite laundry, something that we normally stay at. What we showed up to was a completely different room than what we had booked. The hotel staff assured us that this was the room hotels.com reserved for us, but not only did in not have in-suite laundry, it had no island, it was dated (by decades), it also had a dirty stained carpet. It was literally a completely different room than what I reserved. To add salt to the wound, the pull out didn't have sheets for our kids nor staff to retrieve some from since we checked in so late. We tried to find another hotel at 10pm at night but didn't have any luck as it was the week of Christmas and the Grande Rockies was also sold out. Since we had driven 2 hours to get here, going home was not an option. The entire experience was very upsetting and I would not recommend trusting this listing as it is completely false advertising and should be reviewed and updated immediately before others are duped like us.

Awesome pool but little sleep

I thought this would be an easy review but although the property was beautiful the beds were hard and pillows were bad.. We could hear weird HVAC and plumbing noises all night. No blinds on the windows where kids were sleeping. He had a fun stay but no one really got any sleep. The pool is actually in another related hotel and its super inconvenient to get there and get changed with 3 small kids. Change room is cramped. We thought we should have stayed in that hotel instead. That said, the pool was EXCELLENT and my kids LOVED IT. Swim outside hot tub and just really well kept. Pool saved it for sure but I wish we had better beds and better step up for sleeping considering we had a condo. Staff was lovely. Parking was weird. First come first serve so if you left at the wrong time you couldn't find any. Contractors had at least 4 or 5 stalls taken.

Very disappointed. Our room was in poor condition, many obvious repairs needed ( major cracks in bathroom sink, the tub also has several cracks, the baseboards were lifting off the walls, the loudest washing machine we've ever seen ) The linens were stained and in disrepair. The elements are the stove top were lifting - potential fire hazard while cooking. The overall cleanliness was poor. Streaks down the walls, grim on walls and cupboard doors. We tried to get out of the reservation but were told it was prepaid. If we left early the could try to rent out the room but if they did it would cost us a service fee of $80.00. After two of three nights we just walked away and went home. The parking although underground is far away. The pool is in a different building ie: belongs to another property and you have to walk outside to get there. Once in the main building I had a question about the pool and the guest services in the main building told me I had to call over to guest services from \"other\" building. You definitely feels like a lesser guest when staying in the Annex building.

The pool was located in a separately building-not ideal for young children.
Once at the pool the kids slide was so run down and rough it wasn’t fun to slide down.
Our stay was overall good. Beside being disappointed in the age and style of our room things were clean.

We stayed for seven nights and overall it was a great stay. The place was quiet, great kitchen, close to the town centre and suited our family needs. The beds were comfortable and we had amazing views of the mountains. The kids loved the pool and the water slide. They begged to go everyday.
The areas for improvement would be that there was something wrong with the fridge, we advised the admin someone came and tinkered around and we never saw them again. The fridge was never fixed while we were there. We also had to request to have out garbage and recycling taken as it was a few days before someone came to collect it (this is included in the service).
Lastly, the parking lot is a challenge. I am not sure if it is a common thing in Alberta but users of the lot were unable to park within the lines and if you have a large car you have to squeeze yourself in. Unfortunately our car took a few scratches. This is not a complaint on the property but just be aware when using the lot.
Overall we had a great stay and our family enjoyed our holiday. Thank you!

Love the location. Easy to get to some nice eateries and stores. Great access to biking trails. Our kiddo loved the pool that we could use at the resort next door. Check in and check out were easy. Only complaint was that some of the things in the suite needed repair. E.g., the towel bar in the bathroom couldn’t be used due to it detaching from the wall, and the balcony door had a faulty lock.

This is our go-to place to stay as a family with pets when we’re in Canmore. We will continue booking it for our annual trip there.

The suite we stayed in was clean and spacious with a nice balcony. The kitchen was well-stocked. We had access to the swimming pool (which recently re-opened). The only downsides were the poor Wifi and not being able to reach the front desk consistently. Overall. We really enjoyed our stay!

The only issue I got is the pool needs to be booked ahead of time as they have restrictions because of the coronavirus, we just went there for the kids to go to the pool and enjoy it there and we were only allowed to be for 30 min as somebody did not showed up, it wasn’t noted when we did the booking on Expedia

Honestly, my check in experience wasn’t the best. The staff was amazing! But, there was a bump. Our room had a a/c leak so they had to switch our room which lead our check in time to... well that’s when it got a little annoying. Check in time is 4 and they said we could check in around 4:30 but, when 5 o’clock rolled around we tried going to the front deck to ask when we could get our room and they didn’t have a answer. I decided around 5:30 to just go to the room and tell the house keeper that it’s fine, we just wanna get in the room. But when we got there the door was dead locked open and no one was inside... we brought all our stuff In and no one returned. So... essentially we could have got our room a lot sooner instead of sitting outside letting our food sit in the car.

Our stay other wise has been amazing and I would stay again. Hopefully on a better start.

The condo/suite was centrally located. It had absolutely everything we needed for a comfortable stay with a toddler and two small dogs. We could access the pool in the resort across the way, which was awesome. Housekeeping checked in with us frequently to see if we needed anything. Looking forward to making Canmore an annual trip now that we’ve found the perfect place to stay for our family!

The front desk staff were nice and the room was clean, but otherwise the experience wasn’t great. The sheets on the bed were very poor quality. Like paper towel uncomfortable. The room was hot with little air flow. The blinds didn’t close properly so the room was super bright come morning. The mattress was terrible. So lumpy and indented. Crazy uncomfortable. The pool was crazy cold. Like ridiculously cold and there wasn’t even a change room at the pool. Honestly. Do yourself a favour and pay a little extra to stay somewhere else.

The check in process was the worst experience I have ever had. The front desk person, Irish, was extremely rude and unhelpful. She would not let us check in until 4pm sharp. She even refused to explain anything about the property until 4pm. We were meeting people there and they were told they could park underground but we were told we couldn’t despite us each booking a condo in the same building. The condo itself was well taken care of but there were dirty Q-tips in the bathtub. We paid $320 for one night in the winter and weren’t allowed to check in until 4pm and had to check out at 10am. I would recommend for anyone who has condos in this complex, to find a new management company.

There was a buzzing in the wall. Notified staff and wouldn’t refund any nights.

Also, room wasn’t cleaned to any where near satisfaction as there were dust balls everywhere.

We won’t go back, won’t recommend, and will spread the word about it.

The staff was very helpful pleasant. The room itself was spacious, clean, comfortable except for the hide bed (the springs of the mattress poking out). There was a strong cigarette smoke smell just outside our door that would sometimes seep into our room (had to put a towel under the door to block). The hallways were dirty lights going down the stairwell are needing to be replaced (flickering).

sadly not how I expected it at all. I expected a hotel that had condo type suites. The suite was pretty nice but but the hotel and suites are not in one building. It’s spread out over two blocks with different buildings in what’s a bit of a maze. I’m guessing in The summer it wouldn’t be that bad but in the winter it’s an inconvenient thing with a toddler. there’s not really anywhere close to park and the whole layout is confusing. So you have to park and walk outdoors in the snow to go to your room.
In the suite: The Bathroom shower curtain fell from hanging my bikini + my husbands swim trunks on it.
The blinds were broken letting in a lot of light in the morning. There was no blinds on the door to the balcony so you can’t have privacy in your unit people outside can see the whole living area when it’s dark out. tap of tub dripping every two seconds. One chair had a huge rip in the leather. After two days there we wondered why there was a gross musky smell building and there was wet clothes sitting in the washing machine from before we checked in that was forgot in there.. On our last night there our code stopped working on the door and i had to wait in the hallway with my two year old while my husband drove over to the lobby building to get it fixed. they said it was a system error.
Some glasses in the cupboard were still dirty. If you don’t gather your towels at checkout and do the dishes they charge you 50$ for cleaning fee. Out of space to write more or I would!!

My only complaint would be the down filled comforter on the master bed. I didn’t realize it at first but I had serious asthma for all 3 nights. I needed to get a inhaler and spend time out side getting fresh air because I couldn’t breath. The third night I finally realized the feather duvet on the bed( I’m severely allergic to feathers) other then that we had a great stay

The location in Canmore is great. It is a few miles from the entrance to Banff National Park. Canmore has great shops and restaurants. The property is dated. The kitchen has modest supplies, including plates, utensils, and pans. The hotel supplied a minimal quantity of paper towels, which we used the first day, and which they never replenished. No colander, no dishwashing liquid. We had intermittent cleaning service.One day it appeared that they only emptied the trash. They did not make the beds. Another day, they made the beds. The master bedroom bashdoom did not have a shower, so we all shared one shower. The biggest problem was the lack of ventilation in the bedrooms. The air conditioning only cooled the living room and kitchen area. At night the heat in the bedrooms seemed to increase as the night progressed, and opening the windows wide provided no relief until the early hours of the morning. The bedrooms were tiny. The pillows were rock hard and round, about the shape of a roller you use to work out the kinks in your back. I improvised using clothing as a makeshift pillow. At the price the facility charged, it was a very disappointing stay.

Beautiful property and gorgeous view. This condo Unit 402 was fully stocked and had everything we needed . With the exception of salt and pepper. We lefty he new ones we bought for future guests. The area is spectacular . I can’t say enough good things . The beds were comfortable. A bit on the hard side but still very nice.

It was a great property but there were dust buds under the sofa once moved looked like it had never been sweeped and the jacuzzi was gross looked like it wasn’t cleaned hair all over it and the jets blew out brown chuncks
