Shabby digs, worn furnishings, dirty walls, insect infested-little bugs and centipedes in suite, hard mattresses, worn linen and towels, limited kitchen, difficult to get hot water. 1km walk to the street and shuttle bus with limited schedule. Staff tried to make it tolerable. Superb views and pool area but shabby out there too.

WARNING! Booked short stay in apartment with hot tub on arrival (evening) the light did not work on the terrace and the hot tub was cold. Raised issue with Expedia and hotel (sent pictures) , day two and three of stay same issue of hot tub not heating up albeit light now working on terrace. Expedia did nothing to resolve the issue and hotel said engineer would resolve….still 5 weeks after complaining hotel have denied the hot tub wasn’t working - DESPITE PHOTOS date marked sent. Add to this unkept terrace with weeds growing and plug unattached dangerously in bathroom. Expedia have no influence to replace anything with the hotel.

Quiet and set back from the main action. Amazing view of the Mediterranean. Difficult to access the building with bracelet key. Spa was closed Tuesday and no notice of this. Spa waters and sauna's were not very hot, more temperate climate. I left my razor in the bathroom. when I returned the next day the attendee would not let me poke my head in to double check, insisting it was likely thrown out.

Very pleased with everything, especially when awful repetitive music at pool area turned off when requested.
Overall cleanliness excellent with only one exception - covers on large sunbeds. Also, my stepdaughter cannot swim so could not go into pool at apartments as no shallow end.
These only small niggles as total stay enjoyable and staff wonderful apart from one receptionist who didn't even apologise that our entry chips were disabled 2 days early. All other receptionists apart from her were friendly and helpful.

great apartment - espcially the bed wad good when you have a back condition
Not much equipment for the kitchen missed bowls, wineglasses and the pots were poor - missed a top of the small one
great to have access to an almost private (it was in february) swimmingpool and terrasse
The view from our own terrasse would have been just perfect if it the tree in front of the building had been cut down

Our overall stay was great. Some positive criticism would be; mention the baths are extra and not included in our stay. There should be more amenities included in the apartment. For example, dish towel to dry dishes, wine glasses, scissors, salad bowl etc…

Once we arrived at Casamaia, we were given a room that was not cleaned. The floor was dirty (fake nail and dirt), the chairs as well as the table and the bathroom consol were very dusty and dirty. We went down to the reception and told them that the room was not cleaned and that we request a thorough cleaning of the room. The cleaning was done about 30 minutes later but to our great surprise, only the floor was cleaned. The chairs, the bathroom and the tables were still very dirty. We had the come down a second time to the reception and request a room change which was given to us. The reception gentleman was extremely non-chalant and didn’t really care about the situation and didn’t even apologize for the uncleanliness. However, we were accompanied during our visits of the rooms by an extremely nice and professional cleaning lady (loubna) who felt very empathetic towards the situation. This is very unfortunate since the property is nice (view, pool area, safety). Also, the AC was not working on our last night and many ants in the room.

It was ok, but missing those extra touches that make it feel special. Decoration was looking tired, breakfast was very basic, air conditioning not working properly. The hotel complex was really good and the shuttle bus handy. Wished we stayed in the Polynesian hotel, it looked a lot nicer.

Hydros Hotel and Spa..Almost fantastic.

Overall a good hotel. Probably two elements away from being great. Location, a bit of local knowledge helps the hotel is 20 minutes walk away from any local restaurants and shops. The hotel is part of a resort called Holiday World. The down side being the 1200 or so guests in the other three gigantic hotels have access to the the Hydros's pool and ten cabanas...and they do come in, that will be the group of 6 or so "hen doo!!"
The pool/terrace bar is only open at the weekend. Crazy!!! Means you have to walk in to the hotel "main bar" and order drinks. Could easily be resolved by sending the waiter out once an hour to get any orders. I am sure all the other guesta and I would have happily waited knowi g there was a regular drinks opportunity.
Staff were fantastic. Breakfast was excellent, fresh and we'll stocked.

Plenty of sun beds, very quiet and lovely surroundings.

Parts of the rooms count do with a refresh, there is wallpaper peeling off and cracks in the balcony wall and paint peeling off in places.

Pool bar was never staffed, no problem if you went into the hotel to get a member of staff but you had to get dry and covered up to go in.

Delightful hotel

The hotel staff very welcoming, we had a very spacious penthouse with a warm hot tub on the large balcony and a beautiful view. The hotel was modern with a glass fronted dining room with sea views. The food was very good with lots of choice. The hotel was clean and away from the other hotels in the complex. As we were waiting to leave (and bill paid) they asked if we would like coffee whilst waiting on the taxi and presented us with two bags containing a picnic breakfast to take with us. Nice touch. The staff were very friendly and tried hard to make sure everything was nice. Had a very relaxing stay - just what we were hoping for after a busy cruise.

Excellent quiet stay on Costa del Sol

Lovely last minute booked stay with half board for 5 nights. Had a large suite with our own hot tub which was a really nice addition. We spent a lot of time on the local beach which was an easy 10 minute walk away. Breakfast buffet was simple but all very good quality and well presented. The view from the restaurant is great. A la carte dinner was a treat for dinner and all of the staff were very friendly and efficient.
Plenty of options to explore the local surroundings for more towns, beaches or attractions. Overall a great stay.

Only downsides would be balcony could be slightly more private if there were a screen to neighbouring balcony. Also ventilation in the bathroom could be better.

Great relaxation!

Perfect few days away post marathon recovery! Took family of 4 (kids 2 & 4) for a few days away. Staff really nice with the children and had a chance to use the spa for free for 1 hour. Staying here gives you access to the Company's own water park down the road (free shuttle bus available) for free - this was a new thing for 2018. We had a hire car, which we think was a must as its in quite a residential area rather than a tourist area so if you want to eat out, a short 5 min drive / taxi will get you to the marina area etc.

Best hotel in the complex

The suite we stayed in was big enough for the three of us, and we enjoyed the hot tub and view. All of the staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome.

The hotel runs a shuttle bus until 6pm but after that you have to use taxis if you want to go out to local restaurants. That did prove to be a bit costly, but apart that that it was a lovely place to stay.

This is a boutique hotel offering spa services. Our room was comfortable and spacious. Our only disappointment was that the water in the spa in our balcony was too cold and could not be adjusted so we could not use it - we selected the room because it gad a spa so feel we didn’t get value. The view from the restaurant was fabulous!!

Nice, very secure hotel on the hill

Overall we loved the hotel. The suite, hot tub, two TVs, lovely quiet atmosphere, etc. I gave only 4 stars because the bathroom was a little bit a let down. The shower was leaking and it definitely needs some maintenance like changing the silicone around the edges which were very mouldy and rusty and they looked not very clean. The floor tiles were scratched and worn out. Housekeeping was ok although they need some more training on sweeping the floor (the whole suite had floor tiles, no carpets). Breakfast was ok but needs some variety, more fruit options. The hotel is located in a secured compound and you need to show your room key at the gate every time you enter. Don't get offended when the guard chases you up :) we wanted to sneak in (just to have fun) but still we were stopped and had to show the room key. There is another separate gate to Hydros when you enter with a car-just ring the bell. We liked the security. You can use all facilities of all other 4 hotels in the compound which we found VERY good. Hydros is located as the last hotel at the end of the road on the hill. There is a regular shuttle every 20min but we never used it because we liked the walking activity up the hill. Although it might be tiring with pushchairs or for older people. We didn't mind. Beach is just across the road, again 10 min down the hill to exit the compound. The pool area was very good. I loved it. I didn't use it every day as we liked the sea. The sea view is breathtaking.

Beautiful hotel for nice relaxing break

We stayed here for 5 nights with friends for a relaxing break and we were not disappointed. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the staff could not have been any more helpful and friendly. After checking into our room we received a phone call within 5 minutes from reception checking everything was ok with our room - off to an excellent start. We spent the first morning relaxing in the spa and spent the remainder of our time relaxing by the pool. The pool bar staff were also extremely accommodating and friendly. We were there on bed and breakfast basis with the breakfast setting us up well for the day ahead. We ate on a number of occasions at the hotel for lunch and were not disappointed.
This hotel is not walking distance from the centre of benalmadena and if you are looking for a lively break then be prepared to spend money on taxis into the centre every night.
We were looking for a relaxing break and this hotel delivered on that. We are already looking to plan our next break.

Infestation of ants which spoilt the spacious room, and ants in more than one room. Faulty hot tub on balcony. Room cleaning very poor, coffee stain on balcony left by myself was still there, maid simply made the bed, but did not mop, or replace used drinking glasses. The most disappointing thing was the wifi, could not connect at all. The food was minimal, ala carte menu extremely limited and only 3 course, which for the portion sizes should of been 7 course. The hotel did not mention the breakfast was continental. The hotel was not bad but been to much better for the price, will never return, I don't recommend !!!!!

We were fortunate to be upgraded to a double bedroom suite which was very comfortable and came with a spa. We found the beds to be very hard but everything else was top quality. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is very modern and has a great outdoor pool. We didn't use the spa facilities. Breakfast was also good and the meals at the restaurant were OK.

Fabulous relaxing break

We had a peaceful romantic 4 night stay in the Hydros last week and came back recharged and feeling completely relaxed. The hotel was lovely, slightly 1990s in style but had a great boutique feel. The staff were excellent, very attentive and friendly. It's the perfect hotel if you want to get away from it all, chill out on the lounger beds with the beautiful sea view or relax in the private jacuzzi.
Given it's location (10 min walk downhill to the road and sea front) it's not ideal if you want to go to the beach or a different restaurant everyday, but we felt so comfortable and well looked after it wasn't a problem.

Amazing Couples Hotel

The hotel was fantastic, staff were very friendly, the room was magnificent, we travelled as a couple and it was perfect, i do have Children, however there was no such facilities for Children so i would not travel with the Children, but would definitely go back with my Husband. If the other hotels in the chain which i know are more family orientated are anything like this hotel i will be going back there with my Family. It is a distance from selection of Restaurants but it was not a bother to walk it which we done each night.

The staff @ Hydros were very friendly & helpful. The room was huge & extremely comfortable with a T.V. in the bedroom as well as the living room.The view from the balcony was fabulous as we sat in the spa. The hotel was very reasonably priced for the luxury of the accommodation.

CHECK HOT TUB IS WORKING BEFORE ACCEPTING ROOM

This was a suprise for my parents. We booked two suites. One room was not ready at 3.45pm. My parents were offered another room, but hot tub not working. They went to the original room when it was ready, later to discover that hot tub not working. So ensure hot tub is on and hot before accepting room. Our tub worked and it is amazing.
Ask for a room overlooking pool, these rooms have a much better view.
The staff are helpful, and the restaurant has lovely views, but i can honestly say avoid eating there, it was empty, which says alot. The food is awful.

Thank you to all the staff at Hotel Hydros for a wonderful happy carefree holiday, nothing was too much trouble, any request was met with a warm friendly smile and the outcome dealt with in a professional courteous manner, the staff deserve only praise for their efforts (and possibly a small raise in salary for delivering such a high standard of efficiency and professionalism for and on behalf of the hotel)
The Spa and restaurant facilities were excellent, being good value if you wanted to use them,(which I did when I had time, and wishing only that I had started using them earlier in my holiday)
I thoroughly enjoyed this holiday, the hotel, its surroundings, and most of all the people that made me feel most welcome! Thankyou all, I will be back!

Great Hotel (but not child friendly)

Great hotel facilities and location.Pool area very clean and tidy. Breakfast area over looking the sea-great view. Hot tub on balcony was great.
Not much choice on food menu.
Staff not very friendly towards families with children. It's ok if you speak Spanish you get served faster than non Spanish speaking guests.
No facilities for the children on site.
Shuttle bus up and down the hill stops at 6.30pm which means paying for taxis to get back to the hotel at night with children.
2 sister hotels within walking distance which were more child friendly and offered a wider food choice as well as plenty of evening activity.
Supermarkets available in both of the sister hotels although expensive.
In future I would not return to this hotel with children but would stay at either of the other 2 hotels on site.

A fantastic hotel with jaccaussi on balcony, beautiful terrace to relax on pool good size. This is a Spa Wellness Hotel which should have a calm, tranquil and relaxing atmosphere which it does but was very surprised to see so many children most of whom were noisy and unsupervised which spoilt the ambiance of the place. Don't think it is the place for children to be especially as they are not supervised and there is no lifeguard. Brilliant Hotel with excellent Spa and restaurant, Rooms large and comfortable. no ketle. Courtesy bus runs downhill to security gate also offers trips to nearby beach during summer months.

The only problem we had with the stay in the hotel was that there was a gully grate in the road outside the hotel and when cars drove over it it would bang very loudly all day.
That is the only thing wrong with our stay, every thing else was excellent. and hopefully if any one else is going to this hotel hopefully the local council have rectefied this.

We stayed at the Holiday Hydros for 2 days, and it was absolutely perfect. Both the spa, the restaurant and the rooms are made just for relaxing and wellbeeing, and the staff really does everything possible to make your stay perfect.
The big different from this hotel and other spa/weelness hotels, is really the professionel staff and the perfect buildings, wich together makes the right atmosphere.

We will definately recommend this hotel to everybody, and we will come back at soon as possible.

Hotellets adresse er ikke korrekt på Hotels.com. Det ligger på Avenida Del Sol nr 195
Hotellet ligger i et lukket område med 3 andre hoteller. Der er adgang til faciliteterne og underholdningen på de andre hoteller - og spisning mod betaling.
Gode lejligheder med skøn udsigt. Gåafstand til stranden.
Dejligt roligt hotel (med forfærdelig musik ved poolen)
Godt hotel for voksne + større børn.
Personalet er over det hele fantastisk imødekommende og hjælpsomme.
Gode parkeringsmuligheder.
Internet fungerer upåklageligt.
Rengøring i top inde som ude.

Nydelig design, omgivelser og spektakulær utsikt

Casamaïa er et nydelig leilighetshotell, med en slående vakker utsikt. Dessverre så led bygget og omgivelsene under litt manglende vedlikehold, men det kan kanskje være fordi vi var der like før sesongen starter?

Leilighetshotellet ligger som en del av et større resort (Holiday World), inne på et inngjerdet område. Stille og tilbaketrukken beliggenhet, trygt og godt bevoktet.
Hele Holiday World er gjennomført i uttrykk og stil, og oppleves luksuriøst, men avslappet.

Om du ønsker å utforske nærområdet, så er det gode muligheter for dette, men da bør du tåle å bruke beina. Det er nydelige turområder rundt resorten, og det er en fantastisk strandpromenade som går hele veien til enden av Fuengirola i den en retningen, og til Benalmadena i den andre retningen.

Rommet kunne hatt godt av en real nedvask. Bruksoverflatene var rene, men det var mye skitt i krinker og kroker. SPA’et likeså- ga et slitent inntrykk, og burde vært bedre vedlikeholdt.
Steinharde senger, men pluss for at det var dyne, og ikke bare laken å sove med.

Resepsjonstjenesten på nabohotellet fungerte utmerket, og servicen jevnt over på hele resorten var veldig god! Alle ansatte vi var i kontakt med var hyggelige og hjelpsomme.
Vi prøvde fasilitetene på de andre hotellene (bla. basseng og restaurant), og ble imponert over hvor godt alle tilbudene skalerte til så mange gjester.
Vi ga tilbakemelding til verten om vårt syn på renholdet, og ble møtt med takknemlighet og kompensasjon.
Vi reiser gjerne tilbake!

Selve hotellet er greit. Det ligger ubeleilig i forhold til muligheter for gå turer langs sjøen, du må ha bil for å komme seg opp til hotellet. Ellers må man gå lang tur nedover bakken og tilbake er det ganske bratt oppoverbakken. Ikke noe for eldre mennesker. Studio ´var velutstyrt i kjøkken avdeling. Stort bad med både badekar ( glatt!) og dusi ( veldig glatt) Når det blåser ute så uler det ii balkongdør slik at jeg fikk ikke sove. For meg var senga altfor hard, måtte legge en teppe under . Skal vel ikke dit flere ganger.

Godt og hvad kunne være bedre

Meget hård og dårlig madras. Udendørs pool flot med fantastisk udsigt. Bygningen og resort området flot. Anvisning af lejligheden fra reception meget mangelfuld, skulle have udleveret et lille kort med angivelse af lejligheden placering. Personalet venlig og i møde kommende.

Der Check in war kompliziert. Es wurde nirgendwo darauf hingewiesen das der Check in im Nachbarhotel Riwo ist. Ansonsten war die Unterkunft etwas in die Jahre gekommen. In der Dusche waren die Halterungen für Shampoo etc. Teilweise instabil und kaputt. Der Whirlpool war zum Teil auch kaputt (Pumpe,Licht). Das Zimmer hatte ziemlich viele Ameisen. Dafür ist der Ausblick traumhaft. Ansonsten ist die Terrasse leider sporadisch ausgestattet. Genau so wie der Outdoor Pool

We felt very cheated by this accommodation. Be aware. We booked this accommodation specifically because of the pictures on Expedia and elsewhere of its Spa. The Spa was not only closed but in terrible state looking like it had been shut down ages ago due to hygienic reasons. Additionally the shuttle bus came very infrequently (you are on top of a hill with no amenities) and the only neighbouring resort which was open, the Polynesia Hotel, had overpriced buffet food catered to English guests. No Spanish food or supermarkets nearby.

Superbe endroit , propreté top un seul regret de pas avoir de bar et de restaurant disponible tellement beau le bar de la piscine et la salle avec vue sur la mer . Bien sûr un bar à disposition à l hôtel à côté mais vraiment rien à voir .

Nice apartment with view

Large apartment with nice view over the sea/beach.

We had a penthouse with a large terrasse and jacuzzi. Unfurtunally we could´nt enjoy the view form the jacuzzi which was working ok.

The pool was clean, but the water was freezing. If you want to use the wellness area you have to pay and only be able to use it for 90 min. - It should be included.

We had breakfast at the next door hotel included which was very good.

The cleaning only ok - There was to many ants in our apartment.

Nice and friendly management.

Kahvinkeitin puuttui, vaikka se oli mainittu varusteluissa. Capsylo-keitin oli, mielestäni se ei ole sama asia. Hotelli oli avattu talven jälkeen, eikä asiakkaita ollut kuin viereisessä huoneistossa. Jäi ihmetyttämään, miksi meidät laitettiin aamuauringon puoleiseen huoneistoon, vaikka mahdollisuuksia olisi ollut kokopäivän paistavalle puolellekin asiakkaiden vähyyden vuoksi. Huoneiden piti olla "äänieristettyjä", silti viereisen huoneiston lapsen huuto kuului. Hotellissa ei ollut mitään opasteita, eikä aukioloaikoja. Yhtään kertaa emme nähneet henkilökuntaa, jolta olisi voinut kysyä.

Veldig bra opphold!

Helt fantastisk! Vi booket et standard rom med jaquzzi, men da det var så få gjester på hotellet/leilighetene ble vi gratis oppgradert til stor suite! Det var utrolig hyggelig :)
Kjøkkenmuligheter var veldig greit å ha tilgang på da vi var der lenge. Kjempehyggelig og hjelpsomt personale. I et stort tilhørende bygg var det buffet hver dag, frokost lunsj og middag. Vi spiste middagsbuffet to ganger, det var en stor buffet med godt utvalg.
Fine muligheter for bading, egen jaquzzi og spa i kjelleren. Vi benyttet oss bare av jaquzzi, men har vært å kikket og alt ser veldig bra ut.

Siden det var lavsesong og lite folk var det også ikke mye personale på jobb, og vi ble litt forvirret ved ankomst. Vi skulle bo på Casamaia Apartments, og dro naturligvis rett dit, men der var det ingen. Måtte ringe til resepsjonen og den viste seg å være ca 200 meter unna i et annet bygg. Dette var litt forvirrende første dagen men de løste det fint, veldig serviceinnstilte.

Hotelli oli hankala löytää kun osoite oli merkitty alla kulkevalle kadulle. Kulku oli kolmen norsupatsaan liikenneympyrästä vartiokopin ja puomin kautta. Turvallinen ja rauhallinen paikka. Omalla ilmaisella parkkipaikalla oli aina hyvin tilaa. Henkilökunta todella ystävällistä. Hyvä, puhdas uima-allas ja oma poreamme parvekkeella oli kivat. Ainoa miinus oli kova sänky.

Fint hotell med mycket bekvämligheter

Hotellets läge var lite sådär, men det var fint hotell och med väldigt bra spa och bekvämligheter på rummet.
Jag och mina vänner var väldigt nöjda. Frukosten kunde vara bättre. Det saknades sallader och inte så mycket frukter, men överlag var det flint hotell.

Hienot puitteet ja näköalat. Siistiä ja ehdottoman ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta. Navigaattorin kanssa oli vaikeuksia löytää, Hotellin sisäänkäynti on nykyään ison resort alueen kautta, monen mutkan kautta. Huoneessa ei ollut roskiksia, siitä annoin palautetta. Jos tarvetta parkkipaikalle, heillä hyvä alue, jossa oli aina tilaa.

Das Personsl war sehr freundlich! Das Essen war gut und die Aussicht wunderschön! Der Whirpool sollte auch mal während des Aufenthalts gereinigt werden, war leiser nie der Fall. Das Hotel befindet sich an einer guten Lage, wäre ein direkter Zugang zur Strasse verfügbar. So muss anstatt ein Weg von 1 Minute wird zu einem Weg von 10 - 15 Minuten. Sollte unbedingt gemacht werden!

Hotel ist eine ungeschliffene Perle.
Lage Top, Zimmeraufteilung perfekt (auch für Familien geeignet)
ABER: schlechtes Management des gesamten Betriebes aus folgenden Gründen:
- allgemeine Sauberkeit schlecht (Alles wirkt schmuddelig und benützt)
- Aussenbar schließt um 19:0Uhr - die grossen Hotelketten rundherum feiern aber bis 23:00Uhr sehr lautstark weiter? Dafür fängt es ab morgen 09:00Uhr wieder mit lauter Musik in unserem Bereich an, überhaupt nicht logisch und total Konzeptlos - kein Bezug auf SPA!
- schlechter Service, ständige Sucherei des Personales, alles Herzlos zubereitet.....
- Rezeption am freundlichsten....
- Managerin überflüssig, läuft desinteressiert in der Gegend herum und sieht das Potenzial nicht.... wirkt unfreundlich!
- Whirlpools sandig und mit vielen Fremdhaaren entgegen genommen Aussenpool nicht besser beieinander
- Frühstück ein Witz - jeden Tag das gleiche mickrige Essen welches nicht vertrauenswürdig wirkte (Schimmel auf Käse, Früchte schon über Limit)....

Fazit: Ohne Leihauto ganz schlechte Möglichkeiten ins Nachtleben zu kommen deshalb empfehlenswert. Hotel werde ich definitiv nicht mehr buchen!!
