Beautiful grounds and beach are the main selling points for this resort, with absolutely beautiful sunsets. Highly recommend this property if you're looking for a private, quiet, luxury resort vs. the others closer to Rodney Bay that are more crowded. Love how it felt like you had the beach to yourself, without needing to compete with other guests for a spot on the beach or pool. The food here is okay, a little bland but the pressed coffee we got every morning at breakfast was amazing. I'd recommend venturing out to other local restaurants for dinner, and the front desk can help arrange a taxi for about $50 U.S. round trip. The downsides here are that the service isn't that great for a five-star resort depending on who you get but they were still accommodating. The room we had didn't have an outlet near a mirror for the hairdryer they provided but maintenance was able to build an extension cord for us quickly.

Our stay at the Calabash exceeded all expectations. The resort provides every amenity needed for a relaxing, all-in-one getaway — from its private beach and complimentary water sports to the pool, restaurant, gym, and spa. The staff’s warmth and hospitality made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. It’s an ideal place to stay while exploring the north side of the island.

The room was clean. However the tub had a crack that had attempted to be sealed and wasnt sealed properly. The tub water never got hot and took over an hour to fill only 6 inches just to the jets this was disappointing because i love nighly baths we only took 1 in the 7 days because it was not warm enough. Besides the tub we were woke up daily from kitchen clanking and noises in room 201 we were also kept awake a couple evenings because of kitchen noise. In this room you could also hear the neighbors small dog barking to be let in thier house often which prevented afternoon naps for me when i was expecting waves and quiet away from our busy home. The women rarely smiled but Teddy was a delight friendly and helpful. We booked private dinner on the beach and they had another booking also so the server was running between the 2 and it took a really long time. We also had massages on the beach where the therapists were 10 min late it was supposed to be an 80 minute session and the y finished in under 50 minutes according to our picture details that show time stamp. When we told concierge about this we recieved an email saying they were sorry and if staying agin soon they would give another service. NO NOT GOING THERE AGAIN!!!! This was one of the most expensive trips my husband and I got to take together and not somewhere i would return to, on that island. Didnt love it, had beautiful views but not worth the price for all the inconvenience we even tried checking out early.

Calabash Cove felt like our own little world. The view was amazing, and the property was so quiet and peaceful. Most times we had the beach to ourselves! Definitely recommend: a spa treatment (the sampler is amazing), using the stand-up paddleboard, laying in the float rings in the ocean, having lunch at the swim up bar.

Tried my hardest to have a positive outlook on my honeymoon, but there's only so much one can take. We paid $15,000 USD for a 10-night all-inclusive stay. At that price point, we weren’t expecting true 5-star luxury, but we certainly weren’t expecting the worst vacation of our lives. This resort doesn’t even feel like 4 stars. The furniture was dated and stained with who-knows-what, and there were ants crawling everywhere, on the bar counter, sofas, walls, balcony, absolutely everywhere. On night two, a live cockroach waltzed into our living room. We called the concierge, and someone came to tell us the room would be sprayed again the next day, which they likely did while we were out.
Night four is when things really went south. As we were about to sleep, I heard rustling by the bedside table. I checked a sealed bag of plantain chips sitting there and found an uneven opening near the top, clear signs of a rodent trying to get in. Horrified, we called the concierge again. Two staff members showed up quickly, searched the room thoroughly (even moving the bed), and eventually caught something. I regret asking to see it, what I saw will haunt me forever. After that, there was no way I could sleep in that room, so they moved us to a different cabin. That room's AC didn’t cool properly despite being set to 16°C, but honestly, I was too scared to sleep anyway.
There’s very little to do at this resort beyond lounging by the pool or beach. No offense to the other vacationers, but most

Enjoyed our stay at the calabash resort, we stayed in the cottages and really loved the privacy and quietness of the property. The beach was very quiet and we enjoyed utilizing the kayaks provided. The overall property was very well maintained. The food was very good we really enjoyed the daily chef specials at the restaurant the service was also very good. This was our first time in st Lucia and we didn’t leave the resort however I would highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a very relaxed setting.

Inclusive breakfast good, a few nice things on lunch menu, but evening food poor. Chef can overcook anything, particularly fish, can't use spices and fruit, and can't match sides with main dishes. We lasted three meals and then started eating out, despite the £35 per night cost of a taxi - anything to get away from that chef.

First meal sweet and sour duck breast, overcooked, neither sweet nor sour, accompanied by bizarre combination of raw and cooked carrots. Partner had grilled tuna salad. Tuna nicely cooked but cold - grilled tuna should be at least warm.

Second meal moroccan spice rubbed chicken breast, overcooked, not spicy, with carrots and sprouts when crying out for pineapple and apricot. Couscous best part of meal. Partner had grilled mahi mahi. Fish overcooked, plate so hot she couldn’t touch it, so fish still cooking on plate. Dessert grilled pineapple with coconut ice cream. Pineapple cold and out of tin, ice cream flavourless.

Third and final meal escovitched snapper. Escovitching is whole fish shallow fried to crisp skin, then doused with generous selection of vegetables in hot vinegar dressing to finish fish to soft texture. Chef had cut fish into slices so it curled up, deep fried it, and thrown over a few sliced carrots.

Food much better elsewhere - great steaks at Big Chef, and amazing seafood at Naked Fisherman. Other guests did the same.

We had a pool side room, which while small was very nice. Room was clean and smelled lovely. Access right off our porch to the infinity pool was perfect. The pool was never really busy and the view was gorgeous.

Ample towels, binoculars for bird watching were a nice touch, paddle boards, kayaks were a bonus.

The almost private beach was great and had a good set up, with excursions picking us up right at the beach.

Downside of our room was the pool bar was playing one type of music at one end of the pool and the restaurant above us was playing another type of music. This made the experience less relaxing and a bit annoying.

There was construction happening both nights around the pool area. The first night it lasted past 9pm. Odd hour to be doing construction, but I guess there is never a great hour.

Restaurant on site is ok, I highly suggest venturing out for dinner.

If I stayed again it would in a room not adjacent to the main building.

What a wonderful property! We originally stayed in a Sunset Suite that was above the pool suites and these rooms are dated and the bathroom was awkward being open to rest of the room. We also had a noisy AC unit and door. These definitely need some work. We upgraded to a cottage and LOVED it! So private and convenient to the beach. We stayed 4 nights and ate at the restaurant every night and I'd say this was a highlight of the stay. Wonderful food and really not privacy. We will be back for sure!

Massive disappointment for a property with SO much potential!
The Calabash Cove is a beautiful location with the best privacy and tranquility we’ve experienced anywhere in the world. Sadly, the resort — and in particular the rooms — need major updates that it appears the owner is unwilling to do.
The location, beach, quaintness, and tranquility are exceptional. The staff is also impeccable — friendly and helpful and really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The restaurant and entertainment are top notch and the food is actually excellent — especially given how many islands are very limited when it comes to dining. This resort is one of the bests.

Now, the bad:
1) extremely bright light from the AC in the room— bring a sleeping mask!
2) sounds from the hallway due to bad insulation.
You can be woken up at 1030p or 6am even though the neighbors are fairly quiet. Bring your own earplugs
The ugly:
1) the mattress is worse than a hostel. You have two options. The rock hard and extremely old mattress which will be a memorable and sleepless night. Or the overfly soft gel- style mattress topper that will leave you with back pain in the morning.
2) The fancy jacuzzi tub takes over one hour to fill and by the time that happens the water is luke warm at best. It’s not a usable amenity and they should just have nice usable bathtubs.
The place is in disrepair. For example, the lounge chairs by the pool are completely falling apart. What a pity. The owner is apparently

We stayed at Calabash Cove for our honeymoon. We loved every minute of it! The staff is incredible here - so friendly and kind, always have a smile on their faces. We enjoyed the beach and the kayaks and paddle boards. The beach is small, but didn’t feel crammed. It was lovely. The pool is nice with the swim up bar! The bartenders were always ready to give us a new drink! The food was so so amazing. The best we’ve ever had at a resort. We took advantage of the lobster dinners often! We liked that the specials menu changed daily.
The only “cons”, which weren’t even cons to us were: there are a lot of stairs. Stairs to the beach, to the pool, to the restaurant, etc. We laughed a couple times going from the beach to the bar, saying the walk humbled us every time. It really wasn’t bad, but enough to notice that you were getting your daily steps in! Also, we are from Chicago where everything is very fast paced. The restaurant is definitely on island time :) a bit slower pace than we are used to but this gave us the opportunity to connect more with each other and not rush through our meals.

Very remote location which is good and bad depending on the day…relaxing days it was good but to leave the property required transportation which meant hiring car service starting at $25USD each way and more depending on how far you’re headed. The area is not walkable.
As many others have stated this is not the best place to test your driving skills, the roads are very narrow and curvy. One sign showed the road ahead on the mountainous road to be what looked like this shape “N”. That was an experience. Thank goodness for our local drivers they were fantastic and great at knowing the roads.
The food started out poorly, but after trying different items on the menu we found our groove and couldn’t get enough. In a scale of 10 the Food went from a 3 to an 11.
The view of the ocean, the sunrise and sunset was fantastic from the room and the restaurant. Beautiful property which is well maintained. Great for picture taking.

This place is perfect for couples! The grounds are beautiful with flowers, trees, trim grass etc. The view from the restaurant is amazing! The best I have ever seen! The beach area has clean water, sand and comfortable places to sit in the sun. I could have stayed in the water for hours! No seaweed to be seen anywhere! It was so nice to have a more intimate setting with few guests and the ability to relax. The infinity pool was also amazing and my husband and I got a good half hour alone in the pool to enjoy the view. The staff was professional, friendly and thoughtful. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit St Lucia. I staid at 3 resorts and this was my favorite for a romantic, couples getaway.

We loved our stay at Calabash cove! We stayed in one of the cabanas with private pool overlooking the ocean for our honeymoon. The room was beautiful and spacious and even came with a little library. Surprisingly not too many bugs around either. We especially loved the outdoor shower overlooking the ocean and our small private pool was perfect for cooling off during the day. It was quiet and private, but we made some friends and had a blast in the big pool area. Food was excellent, we opted for the all inclusive package which included all food and drinks except some premium wines. The staff was also amazing. Special shout out to JR, Lulu, Mario, Micheal, and Daniel. They all made our trip so special. If you are looking for a luxury all inclusive that’s more on the quiet side- this is your spot!

We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday and stayed for 4 nights. During our stay, everyone knew our name, accommodated our needs, and made sure we felt welcome. Calabash Cove is the place to go if you want a true getaway. Access to the infinity pool with swim up bar and the beach was everything!

Great views, very disappointed with hotel rules

The hotel was nice, with amazing views, and a very good room/facilities.

However, our trip was spoiled by the fact we were turned away from dinner on the night of our anniversary purely due to the fact that I did not wear/have a collared shirt.

This was despite the restaurant manager agreeing that I was dressed perfectly appropriately (black trousers, and a black t-shirt with shoes) - they refused to let us have dinner in the restaurant together, and we were forced to stay in our rooms and order room service.

At no point during check-in or in any correspondence prior to this were we informed of the strict dress code. The website stated that it was merely a suggestion of attire.

This ruined our stay, and left a very sour taste in our mouth, especially as we had dined earlier in high class resorts such as Ladera in the same attire with no issue.

As hotel guests, it was a shock/embarassing to be turned away from dinner.

A day later, after raising the issue again, the hotel made an exception after we highlighted our disappointment, but no real apology was made or change to the rule.

Additionally, breakfast service was slow given that everything was a la carte. There were no self service options even for the basics of cereal/etc which could have significantly helped.

Near to where the guests eat, there is a worktop area used to store old/dirty plates and leave food open - which attracted a lot of birds, especially during breakfast.

The views are spectacular for sure. We stayed in one of the villas and loved it with two exceptions - the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, sloped downward and quite a disappointment considering the cost to stay here. Also the shower has saloon doors that swing outside (no lock) to where anyone could come off the path and right into your shower if they wanted to...very bizarre and not expected. You can't tell that from the pictures of the villa. Food was ok, but if you don't do the all inclusive option the food/drinks are quite pricey.

A week in Saint Lucia

Beautiful hotel with stunning view from terrace and rooms over coast, gardens, infinity pool and the sea. Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious and modern rooms. Very good kitchen, good range of menus and choices, excellent breakfast offer. We stayed 6 nights and felt at home and sorry to leave. We would choose the hotel again a next time.

This is perfect for a very romantic, quiet getaway. We found the staff to be dedicated to client service, the food to be delicious and the accommodations to be clean, beautiful and quiet. You will need to take a taxi if you want to \"walk around\" any other area, but this is easily arranged. If we come back to St. Lucia (which is wonderful too) we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

The property is absolutely gorgeous. Lots to do even if you don’t opt for the all inclusive option. Me and my partner prefer to go out and do our own exploring but live the fact that we have a beautiful pool semi private beach and room service available to us as well.
2 stars for two reasons
1. Our experience at the restaurant was an absolute disaster. We waited 50 minutes for our appetizers and and additional 25 for entree and the food was average at best. For the prices my expectations were much higher.
2. the tub did not get hot our entire stay of four days. we complained about this twice a day for the entire stay and it was never resolved. This is such a letdown as it was the selling point of the hotel for me. When checking out the manager said there was nothing he could do.
2 stars only for the property.

What can I say? Our time at CC was life changing. From the personal wading pool to being steps from a gorgeous beach to hanging out at the swim-up pool to eating at the restaurant, we had a most memorable time. And, we got engaged at night alone on the beach so it will be forever one of our starting places. Staff that was amazing and memorable include Mario, Delaney, Chanelle , Daniel, Paul the manager, and Kevin the concierge. Thank you team! We will never forget you!

Area of improvement? Nothing significant comes to mind. We didn’t try everything on the main menu but that which we did try on our first arrival night wasn’t great. We found plenty to choose from on the veggie menu and dessert menu. So we were generally all set. But don’t go for the food. ;-)

And finally, I told Kevin this on the way out - it would be great to have a coffee bar to access in the morning. It’s great for getting out of the room and great for mingling.
