Sad to say this has been the worst hotel experience, The rooms are like saunas in the summer with 40 degrees no air conditioning and no fan, rude and condescending front desk staff not helpful at all when we asked for a fan they said to take a cold shower instead. The air conditioning is somehow stronger in the hallway of the hotel but none in the rooms.

We arrived and the room promised was unavailable. The staff was willing to move us to the only other choice, less than 80sf for 2. My daughter and I were willing to share a room but the bed was a small sized \"full' bed. The onsite restaurants were all closed and there were no nearby options. Staff reported they were renovating. Key card was keyed to the wrong door. While waiting for a resolution a large group came in and many of their cards were wrong. Our only solution was to leave and find a new hotel.

This hotel is just because of perfumed air in rooms as I’m allergic of perfumes not ure where from goes but it may come from air condition . Customer service not much helped as lack of it. Saying ‘ we can’t do anything’ but wonder if someone is allergic to perfumes. Very disappointed

Nice option close to airport and EV charge

Rooms are small by American standards (just FYI). Parking was very convenient with an EV charging station. It was clean and the shower was excellent (very strong and hot.) There's no A/C and it was warm for our October visit, so we appreciated the provided fan. Room coffee was quite good, but no sweetener, so FYI. Front desk staff was super nice!

Great Stay for the World Champs

It was an ideal location, as near to shops and also train transport, hotel staff very helpful with queries and questions that I asked, re getting to the World Champs sports venue, which was only 2 stops away on the train.

Had to request extra pillows in the hotel room...too fluffy, not comfortable. Ample parking was available outside. Tried parking underground...very tight fit getting in and out! No ice machine. Bed was comfortable.

Unbearable stay

From the minute I stepped in, I knew booking this hotel was a mistake. The lobby was so hot, it immediately gave a bad impression. The staff were melting. Management could have invested in a fan for their staff who must work long hours in the heat. The room was awful. Very dated interior. Useless pillows, too thin for comfort. No AC in the room either. Not even a fan. Within minutes of being inside the room, I was drenched in sweat and opening the window didn't help at all. It was impossible to sleep in this hotel! It really was a nightmare because I had to open the window but it was so loud outside with people talking and hearing cars zooming by, I didn't even sleep the entire night. The breakfast was pretty low quality food and if it's included in your room price then take it but if you have to pay, it really isn't worth it. Overall, I had a very bad experience and so did my group of 30+ people. Everyone had complained that it was the worst part of their journey.

The room queen room wasn't that listed on the website and the room was very small, just the size to sit down on your bed and having a shower.

I didn't mind, because I just needed to sleep only one nigbt, but for more, it would have been a bit depressing.

TV was very high, in a bad position, sheets clean and comfortable but only one pillow which was very flat.

Only one towel which was not that big , the shower head couldn't fit on the holder as it was moving and pointing against the wall.

No cotton cleaner for ears were provided and a very tiny bottle of shampoo which was very difficult to use.

I would have expected a higher quality within the room facility.

One good thing was the wifi, very fast.

Austrian music box style hotel

Beautiful Austrian family feel hotel. Host was really friendly, he came to meet us in the car park and took our luggage from us and escorted us to our room making us feel really welcome. Gave us all the information we asked for and explained timings for meals. Food was abundant and of a good quality/standard. Location was in a small village and easy to find. Quiet and relaxing, surrounded by mountains with small waterfalls from the mountains visible as we walked around.

I arrived late and left early the next morning, it was an overstay for a connecting flight. I had only one issue, online the hotel was listed a short distance from the airport, it turned out to be 2X the distance listed. Since I had to leave the hotel for the airport early in the morning , public transport wasn´t operating. I had to take a taxi making it very expensive. Hotels.com promised me a coupon for compensation, but I haven´t seen it yet.

I want to go again!

I LOVED this hotel! Clean, free WiFi for all my devices, a free crazy good hot buffet breakfast. VERY close to the train station. Great for a stay before flying out the next day. great staff. I loved the shower! It felt like I was having a massage!

Great hotel just outside Zurich

Just a few minute walk from the Deitikon station, 4 stops west of Zurich. A quaint town with great walking paths and parks, lots of cafes and restaurants for a week stay. Staff was friendly and spoke English well. The hotel has a number of restaurants/cafes built in with quite good food. The free wifi was very fast (2MB/s+) and reliable. My only (small) complaint was the lack of blackout drapes on the windows, other than that everything was great.

The entire hotel smelled like an ash tray. We felt dirtier after taking showers. The service in the hotel was sub par and the food was over priced for what we received. It cost us almost 200chf round trip via taxi to get to and from.

Hotel Sommerau-Ticino -- Good lodging near Zurich

The Hotel Sommerau-Ticino offers very good accommodations for a reasonable price in expensive Switzerland.

Though the hotel is situated in Dietikon, a suburb of Zurich, the location involves only a convenient 20-minute train ride (several trains each hour) to the center of Zurich or to the Zurich Airport. The hotel itself is within a ten-minute walk from the Dietikon train station. Also a plus, the hotel is situated across the street from a large discount grocery store and a large pharmacy/drugstore.

The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The meals in the various restaurants of the hotel are well-prepared and tasty. For Switzerland, the hotel restaurants offer reasonably-priced (not cheap) fare.

The only negative feature of the hotel -- and it is minor -- relates to the computer with internet access that the hotel makes available to guests for a stiff price. (Most other hotels where I stayed in Germany, Italy, Switzerland provided such Internet access on a hotel computer free of charge.) Guests do get a 30-minute free credit.

The procedure to access the Internet for e-mail becomes unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming by requiring a login with a user number and a separate identification number and a logout. When I used the computer, it mysteriously shut down on two separate occasions apparently before the period was over, thereby causing the e-mail that I was composing to disappear forever.

Everything considered, however, the problems associated with the access to the Internet on the hotel computer constitute a relatively unimportant annoyance and should not dissuade anyone from staying at this otherwise fine hotel.

Accordingly, when I return to Zurich, I definitely intend to stay again at the Hotel Sommerau-Ticino and will feel comfortable recommending the hotel to my friends.

In unserem Zimmer hatte es Frottéwäsche nur für
1 Person.
Fernbedinung für TV war nicht vorhanden.

Frühstück war fein mit guter Auswahl.
Aber für den Cappuccino gibt es keine Tassen!
Nein, man muss ihn aus einem Coca-Cola Glas trinken!!! Und dies im Hotel das noch den \"Ticino\" trägt! No grazie!

Gratis Parkplatz = Nicht üblich \"Dankschön\"!

Sehr kleines Zimmer mit einer schlechten Matratze und kleinen Kissen, sodass ich mit Schmerzen in den Schultern und im Nacken aufgewacht bin. Es gab kaum Platz, um rund um das Bett zu gehen, und sowohl ein Nachttisch als auch eine Nachttischlampe fehlten, ebenso wie eine Steckdose neben dem Bett zum Laden eines Mobiltelefons. Das Zimmer wirkte eher wie ein Einzelzimmer, in das einfach ein Doppelbett gestellt worden war. Zudem gab es keine Vorhänge oder Jalousien, um das Zimmer zu verdunkeln – nur eine Gardine, durch die die Nachbarn problemlos hineinschauen konnten. Dieses Hotel ist absolut nicht zu empfehlen!

Most horrible hotel visit ever

I arrived and got to my first room (106). Room was so hot (29 degrees celsius), no ac in the room. I went for the toilet and instantly noticed some black hairs on the bathroom door and also at the bottom of the tub. Next thing i noticed was some flies flying around the room. I managed to kill one and this was the point i decided to go back to reception to complain about the situation. Receptionist started to circuling around the complaints which honestly was pretty irritating ”this is so weird, hasn’t happened ever before, maybe maid had window open and flies came in cuz of that”. She then decided to give me another room (124) that had been cancelled by someone else. When i went back to my first room to pick up my stuff, the key didn’t work. Had to reactivate it at reception. Now i was onto checking the 2nd room, which also had some black hairs in the tub, bathroom counter, and the big shower towel. Toilets bowl was also filthy. Second rooms temperature was at least same as the 1st ones. It was like sauna to say the least, no ac just a little table fan. Next thing i noticed was this huge spider crawling on the ceiling that i had to kill. I waited until the sun went down so i could open the windows to cool down the room. When i opened the windows i noticed that every single window had massive spider webs and spiders crawling all over the place. At least few managed to get inside that i also killed. Das Zimmer tipptopp sauber.
Im Bad funktionierten von vier Spots nur zwei. Für den Lamellenstoren fehlte der Griff um diese zu verstellen. Die Lamellen waren waagrecht gestellt. Für Tags gut aber nachts konnte nicht abgedunkelt werden. Kein Nachtvorhang vorhanden. Beim Frst wäre ein zusätzliches dunkles Brot nett gewesen.

Es ist ein tolles ruhiges Hotel mit sehr freundlichen Personal.

Für meine Zwecke aber zu weit von der Stadt Zürich entfernt da man immer mit der Straßenbahn oder S Bahn fahren muss, die Kosten 27 Schweitzer Franken für eine 9 Uhr Karte. Wer in die Natur möchte ist dieses Hotel perfekt.

Das sogenannte Business Zimmer entsprach überhaupt nicht unseren Erwartungen: Es war viel zu klein (niemals 18 m²), das kleine Doppelbett war unbequem und die Klimaanlage war ineffektiv, wodurch es zu warm war. Das WC und die Dusche waren extrem klein, und der Zugang zur Dusche war sehr eng und mit einer sehr hohen Stufe versehen, was sogar gefährlich war. Wir werden definitiv nicht wiederkommen!

Mooie betaalbare locatie met super service.

Service staat hoog in het vaandel. Zeer vriendelijke dame (ik meen Italiaanse) aan de receptie maar ook bij het ontbijt. Ontbijt was uitgebreidt en heerlijk. Ook diner opties waren zeer goed.

Helaaaaaas kon je geen EK voetbal kijken in de bar.

Preisleistung in Ordnung

Gutes Hotel in Dietikon mit einem sehr guten Parkplatz Angebot. Ebenfalls positiv zu erwähnen ist, dass der Bahnhof in unmittelbarer Nähe ist und man so wunderbar zum Zug gehen kann und dann vielleicht nach Zürich zu fahren.
Das Zimmer war sauber Personal am Empfang sehr sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Wir hatten ein älteres Zimmer. Klein, aber sehr sauber und nicht zur Hauptstraße, daher ruhig. Das Hotel liegt sehr günstig in der Nähe eines Bahnhofs. Hier fahren die Züge alle 15 Min. zum Hauptbahnhof. Die Damen der Rezeption waren sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank!
