During my time in the SPA area, I experienced an unfortunate incident where my mobile phone was stolen. I noticed it was missing shortly after and immediately contacted the reception to report the situation.

The reception team responded promptly and handled the matter efficiently. Thanks to their quick action and support, my mobile phone was successfully recovered. I sincerely appreciate their assistance and professionalism in resolving the issue.

However, I would strongly recommend improving the security measures in the SPA area to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future. Enhanced supervision or additional security arrangements would help ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.

I had to cancel this reservation due to coming down with pneaumonia which led to my early return to the US for treatment. Never checked in to this hotel but yet they would not refund my fees. Seems to me this is just a legal way to be a crook and take someone's money when unforseen circumstances happen. Will not be booking again with Expedia or any of these hotels in the future!

Everything was great. Hotel is big, clean, nice area around, close to the train station and the city center. Very friendly and welcoming staff at the front office, in the restaurants. Room is clean, spacios. The best SPA area. Amazing sauna, love the snow/ice bowl there to refresh after hot sauna. Lounge area is good, plus you can make tea, get some water. I would reccomend it for sure

Hotel was nice, clean and modern.

Though the railtracks are right opposite the hotel you couldn't hear trains going past from your room. Train station 100m from hotel & very convenient to get to old town/ lake/ airport. Good breakfast and gym & sauna nice too.

The hotel is located out of the city but is very well connected by public transport. We had a larger room with a great view over the train tracks, but the lack of housekeeping lets this hotel down. Unless you request it, the rooms are not cleaned.

Check in was very slow and inconvenient. It took us almost a hour in the lobby because there was a huge group of tourists that hadcome before us but even though there were two receptionists they were really slow and inefficient. They were really slow and scanned all our passports even the kids’ not sure why and when they finally gave us the keys to our rooms (we booked two rooms) one pass ended up not even working so we had to come downstairs multiple times to make it work. Also they told us they would arrange a sofa bed but took ages to get someone to our room to set it up. It was raining outside so we asked them for umbrellas for our family and they were rude and refused to give us more than two umbrellas even though we had booked two rooms and were a family of 5 people with little kids!

The hotel construction is very stylish. The front desk people are very nice and helpful. We were upgraded to a premium room. Rooms are very nice and comfortable. Had an excellent stay here for one night. Check in and check out process was smooth. We were even given our room earlier than check in time as we had arrived early in Zurich. The room/ beds were extremely comfortable- we had a good night’s sleep. The hotel itself is very close to train station and therefore very easy to commute to anywhere.

There were a lot of windows and one of them was missing a curtain, so it was impossible to sleep once the sun came up. The second night, we slept with our heads at the foot of the bed, which helped a little. Also, the wall between the bedroom and bathroom was frosted glass, so when I went into the bathroom early to get ready for the day, the light in the bathroom came through the wall and into the bedroom where my husband was trying to sleep; he had to put a pillow over his face. We enjoyed the breakfast and the hot tub. And we enjoyed having a COOP just a few steps away. You’re also steps away from public transportation.

This hotel is right on Altstetten train station. It provides quick and easy access to Old town and the airport. The rooms were spacious, clean and modern. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom, although on the tighter side was well designed to maximize space. It was clean and modern. The shower had good water pressure. I had a car rental. I decided to return it and use the train for access to different sites as it was cheaper and faster than keeping the car.

Well located for Altstetten station with regular trains, trams & buses. The train takes just a few minutes to get to Hauptbahnhof.

Modern hotel with good bright, well designed rooms.

During my stay the reception was being refurbished but all the staff, including the restaurant staff, were efficient, humourous & friendly.

I would suggest bigger, thicker towels for a 4-star hotel. The ones I had were small & thin.

No one cleaned up our room the whole day, so later in the afternoon I went to a reception and asked if someone could come over to clean up or at least if we can receive fresh towels. When we came back to the room around midnight there were no fresh towels… no one was there to clean up. Someone just came in to the room to put the tag do not disturb on the door, so they don’t need to clean up. I could not believe it ! This hotel doesn’t worth the money. Horrible, never again.

The property was clean, new hotel so the amenities were good. The property is located in a very quiet area more on the commercial side but not far from the train station, the tram and bus. 1 or 2 stops by the train from Zurich HB depending on which one you take, or a 1/2 hr tram ride depending on your preferences. Don’t get despondent when you get there, location will work for you. A phone in the room to contact front desk, a safe to store your valuables would be nice. Buffet breakfast is good you can buy dinner if you so please.

Lovely property walkable to Stadion Letzigrund. Nicely sized rooms that were clean and tidy. One thing to note is there is no a/c or fan in the room or bathroom so it was uncomfortably warm and humid in the room since we were in Zurich during a hot weather spell. The restaurant was very good too!

We arrived at midnight, 1 room key didn't work, we went back and forth to the reception, still could not fix it. Finally, the receptionist came and used his key to open the door. The check in took very long time. The bathroom is fully transparent and the electric blind suddenly lift up automatically, big panic! We booked a meeting area and the night shift receptionist told us it is on the 4th floor, actually, it is on the ground floor and he told us the supermarket is on the left of the building and actually, it is on the right...

We spent 2 days at the Aja Hotel and we very happy with the amenities and on-site restaurant. As we are Expedia VIP members, we happily accepted a room upgrade and complimentary parking. The only missing item (as we’re traveling with 2 kids) was a kids play area within the hotel. That would have been perfect.

What was unique about the property was it's description as being like a resort or spa within the city. This marketing elevated my expectations so I was left disappointed. First, upon arrival at approximately 2pm with the check in time being 3pm, I was informed that there would be a fee should we wish to check in at this time. I have never in my days of travel been told that there would a fee for checking in a bit earlier than the exact check in time. In my opinion a higher level of customer service would have been to say something like, \"we are doing our best to have your room ready for you, let me check if a room is ready now.\" I was immediately put off. My disappointment increased as the room I found to be modern but lacking in any feeling of spa or resort like comfort. The bathroom is glass, with a curtain on the outside, the shower cubicle's door drags water across the floor, the simple soaps provided are not Nivea, representing a missed opportunity to market their onsite Nivea spa services, no phone in the room to contact the front desk (which I had to do to figure out how to turn off one of the lights), not even a book with a basic map, listing of local dining and transportation options, hotel menu or amenities. I looked forward to the rooftop to meditate in the morning, but learned it only opened later in the day when we'd be out exploring. For me, the room or service did not support that idea of the hotel being a spa or resortlike experience.

Hotel's exterior and lobby is very nice but don't come into this trap I strongly recommend that don't stay in this hotel, room size are so small that you can't keep your luggage properly even they don't have minibar in rooms. they asked me to deposit 50CHF as deposit money, who ask for that ?? they have nothing in room no kettle, no water bottle, no minibar than for what deposit money?? Rooms lobby is also so confusing that hotel staff itself doesn't know that in which direction which room number are there. They are running shop in hotel's reception area anything you need you have to buy from their, you need hot water go downstairs, you need tea, coffee you have to buy from them, i felt air bnb are better from them. I am amazed to see the hospitality and treatment of staff with guest is very bad and the staff is very shrewd & cunning they will always try to make you fool and grab the more money. I strongly recommend that don't spoil the your Switzerland trip by staying into this hotel.

The Aja is a beautiful hotel and the staff is very friendly, but my last visit was very uncomfortable at night. My husband and I would both wake up sweating and adjusting the thermostat didn’t help. The vents were very dirty and we found particles all over the desk and our things. Also, the towels are very small and non-absorbent

Booked hotel based on Expedia description that it was close to train station and connected to a shopping centre. No shopping nearby, train station is outside the main train hub (this should be specified) and the only restaurant was the one in the hotel. Hotel is in an industrial area, we had one day to explore Zurich which was lost due to the inconvenient location.

We could not find the hotel as it is behind with no sign directions. The check in was very slow although very welcoming. The bathroom wall made off glass, uncomfortable especially as you can see all the way through the room to the room opposite... loved the location , good food/bars around, but you don’t get a free pass for transportation like many cities in Switzerland.

A-ja was super accommodating to us. We arrived about 6 hours before check in and just expected to drop our bags, but they allowed us to check in early! Everyone was super accommodating and the spa/saunas for free were perfect for the morning after NYE. It’s a little bit outside the main city, but the train station Is a 5 minute walk as well as the 4 tram. We would definitely stay here again!

The beds were not queen size. The hotel told me that the hotel only has twin size beds unless you get the king size beds. Unfortunately, that's not what the description says on Expedia website. It said I would have two queen beds. Not two twin beds.

Great staff, great building, great amenities. Have always had amazing stay here and will consider it a home away from home. The spa, gym, etc are second to none, and staff is professional and very helpful. Only wish is rooms can get colder for sleeping at night, but that’s it!:)
