Pros: The room was clean and surprisingly large. Plenty of lights, mirrors and storage space. Parking was secure. Water and biscuits provided each day which was much appreciated.
Cons: the bed and pillows were uncomfortable, barely anything to the pillows and the bed was soft and sunken (but very big). Also, there was no loo brush which is annoying when you are trying to keep the place clean!

The room itself was great, however it didn’t quite justify the price. The toilet flush was faulty and made noise throughout the night, which affected our sleep. Additionally, the sink plug in one of the sinks was not working properly, causing the water to continuously overflow during use. There was also quite a bit of noise from doors being slammed overnight, which we could clearly hear from the room, although I understand this is sometimes unavoidable.

Great staff especially super helpful Electra on front desk. Nice comfortable spacious bedroom. Breakfast varied and copious. Useful bar nice for her quick beer after walking along the Thames. Parking on site, if you can secure it.

I had went to check in which was pretty standard until it was time to pay for breakfast. The receptionist had input £109 on the card reader of which I asked why I was being charged that amount for breakfast. She proceeded to say I’m being charged for breakfast of which I explained to her that she had said it was £14 so why am I being charged £109. She then had said I’m being charged for the room and I explained to her I have already paid. She then proceeded to go back and forth with me saying I have not paid and it is not on the system I have only paid for the guarantee. I then showed her my confirmation receipt to which she said well it’s not on her system. I honestly felt extremely embarrassed. She had requested for me to show her my bank transaction of which I did then I was asked if I had paid in euros as if that would make a difference?!?! I had paid the full amount end of. I felt like such a lemon. She then eventually found it and offered no apology what so ever! I was fuming, i eventually found my room which was okay for a superior room but not amazing. That experience honestly made me want to leave. The breakfast too was mediocre some things were cold and it wasn’t very clean. Tables were left dirty. Clayton in Aldgate has been my absolute favourite I’ve stayed there 3x and will continue to go back. Chiswick was my first time and by far my worst will not be going there again!!

I left my brand new very expensive olaplex shampoo and conditioner in the room as I was rushing with my one year old baby. As soon as I got home I called the hotel and they \"couldn't find it\" this was financially devastating for me as I can't afford to replace them. I expect more from such an expensive hotel. They also don't tell visitors how dangerous it is to park by the hotel.

The mattres in the bed was hard
Pillows was hard and difficult to sleep on
When moved the lamp on the side table, you could see mark of mugs / drinks
No hand towel holder in the bathroom - not replaced and only some bolts on the wall
The toilet flush was only working on the full empting of water (not the save water alternative)
There were stains on the mirrors from previous guests
The sink in the bathroom had chip and cracks in it
The temperature in the room was cold! We turned the temperature to 24 degrees but we never felt it warmed up properly!

Avoid clayton for a good nights sleep as a family.

Do not stay here if you need connecting rooms because despite ringing before, booking it through the website and then called ahead i expected the same service id expect from a 4 star hotel.
Both Beds in both rooms were itchy. No point complaining as we were told hotel was full so wed not be able to move.
Room service was late.
Could list more but pointless as Clayton wont be interested.

While the hotel is very clean, clean and well located for my purposes, it is not designed for short people. Towel bars were so high I could not reach to hang up a towel. Nor does it have enough storage space for a long stay that said I would stay there again because of the location, the staff and the overall ambience.

Heating in room did not work and was freezing, plus event in function room and was so noisy in room until early morning. Great location and parking otherwise. There were a couple of discarded ice buckets and empty champagne bottles in the third floor lift lobby when we checked in late Sunday afternoon. Looked like they were from the night before... Disappointing as I had complained about discarded food trays after a recent visit...
Nice clean room but heavy duvet was too warm.
Tap was moving in basin - no or loose back nut.
Nice bath but when it emptied the shower tray filled with nasty black gunk - bathroom waste pipes need flushing.
Lovely meal and great service at The Globe.
Ideally placed to visit Kew Gardens by one stop tube.

In general it was reasonably clean and staff were polite. However, I would expect better from a four star hotel, such as a sink without drainage issues, hot chocolate should be made with milk and not water; or at least ask the question. When the room was “cleaned” it seemed as though only the bathroom was cleaned whilst the room itself had not been touched. Upon entering the hotel one is blasted with a strong scent / air freshener which needs to be toned down a bit. The hotel is in a good area with a quick walk to many cafes, restaurants and other shops. The tube station is very close and one can get to Heathrow Airport via this method of transportation.

I have stayed here so many times over the past eight years . Always happy with room / stay . This time the experience did not meet expectations. There were noticeable stains on the carpet and upholstery, which made the space feel unclean and poorly maintained. The bathroom was also below standard with visible stains that raised concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. It clearly had not been deep cleaned in some time .

Stayed here at Christmas and had an amazing experience with a fabulous room. However, this time the room was very different and not of the same standard. The TV didn’t work, the sink was blocked, there was a huge piece of silver tape holding the mirror together and the room basically needed an upgrade (room 519). Didn’t report as when I booked it said this was the last room available so knew there wasn’t an alternative. Disappointed after previous experience, especially as the price was no cheaper. On the positive the room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, the parking was reasonable (£22) and safe and the food was excellent. Also only a short walk to the underground station and a 20 min walk to Kew Gardens. Will probably try this hotel again but would really really hope for a better experience next time.

Staff are all good, especially the bar staff, and food is also pretty good.
It is a very good hotel in a nice part of London.

Their check in process is so easy! You can do it yourself through self-service machines they have in the lobby. If you get stuck, the personnel is prompt and kind to offer assistance.
The location is amazing with public transportation right in front of the hotel.
The food was pretty good and not outrageously pricy for a hotel.
If I get another chance to go to London, I'm definitely staying there again.

Had no light bulbs and no shower gel, made reception aware. Only offered us a late check out which we couldn’t use as we needed to leave before original check out time.

Didn’t really help or accommodate for the lack of lighting & soap.
I’d stay here again though.

Large stain on the room carpet had a rug put over it, presumably to hide it.
The stain should have been removed by cleaning the carpet.

The hotel was a great location for work for the weekend which is why I picked it. But there were definitely some extras missing; our room had no shower head in the shower, and the bathroom didn't have any outlets. Which made getting ready for work very difficult especially for my fiance who couldn't even shave. We did like that there was a gym to use but other than that it was just convienent location.
