No significant issues. Rooms were clean and tidy, and there were facilities for drinks etc. (although only four tiny pots of milk for four tea bags and four coffee sachets - why do they always do that?).

The staff we dealt with were friendly and at pains to make sure we had everything we needed, both on the phone and at the front door on arrival. Helpful with sending us to a fantastic pizza restaurant for dinner too.

One TV remote was missing from one room.
There was a challenge with leaving ID overnight because we were leaving before Reception opened, and there needed to be a security against door keys - it seemed like no-one had ever had to leave before reception opened before.

The showers were not overly powerful.

My room was under a staircase and so noisy every time someone went up or down. There was a key hole in my door and the bed was opposite. Great for a peeping Tom, bedroom one. Sorry, won’t be back.

More of a hostel than a hotel!
Everything was very old and needs upgrading. The floor was visibly dirty. The dark bedding and towels shouldn’t be used, doesn’t give the impression everything is clean.
You can hardly move in the bathroom and the shower was a trickle (nothing to do with the boiler as they say - we showered at 1am after a concert in 38 degree heat and had the shower on cold and it was still a trickle!)
No aircon (not expected) or fan (expected in a heatwave) so hardly slept, room was a sauna and only one window (small window) out of 3 possible could be opened! The only good thing about the room was the fridge, nice to have especially in the heat, but I think it was purchased 40 years ago. It just about worked. Light switches didn’t work, had to use a pull one attached to the ceiling (high!) and plug sockets didn’t work.
Wouldn’t bother staying, just pay more and stay somewhere else honestly.

Short version… save your money, buy a sleeping bag and sleep outside in the street. You’ll have a more comfortable stay.
*Main issues we found with this excuse of a hotel:
*£20 cash deposit for the key?!?
*No shower gel/shampoo
*Dirty room
*Hair and god knows what else in the bed
*Tiny room
*Shower didn’t drain due to more hair and detritus clogging the drain, so the shower tray overflows into the tiny bathroom
*Breakfast at a different venue, which during our 2 night stay wasn’t available, so we were given “vouchers” (a laminated map) to the very same venue which was shut?!??
*Unhelpful/rude front desk staff
*Dubious electrics in room - the kettle took some plug jiggling to operate successfully
*Tiny bed - I’m 6”1 and couldn’t lay on it without “dangle foot”. - laying on it due to not really wishing to sleep “in” a bed full of hair and possible diseases.

The single positive I can find about this squat, was that there was an operational desk fan in the room. We stayed during a heatwave and unsurprisingly, the room didn’t have air con. There were some operational clothes hangers included in the room’s less than adequate facilities too, but the sort of random collection you’d find at a post-jumble sale tip run.

There isn’t the facility to award less than one star (I’d like to invent the concept and name it “brown hole”, as other physical brown holes would just about sum up this hotel).

Stay here at your own risk, or give £120 to a local crack head and sleep in a hedge.

Woke up with bedbug bites. no soap or towels in my room when I checked in. Hair in the bed. Dirty mugs. ordered room service with the QR code in the room, waited an hour then when I asked where it was I was told by staff that the QR code isn’t in use anymore, why have that in the room if it is not in use, I lost money over it.

The room is clean, but the first room I moved into had ants in the bathroom. So they moved me to another room. The room they assigned me originally was on the first floor, but it that isn’t the main floor and it is two flights of stairs. There is no elevator. The next room was the first I moved into to with the ants and it was down stairs, less steps but still no convenient especially with 2 heavy bags. The third room was still in the basement area rooms (street level supposedly) but no exits except emergency ones on that level.

They do not serve English Breakfast as they advertise. They do provide a meal token with a restaurant down the street. That restaurant doesn’t open until 11:30. I guess they will open earlier if they have enough customers coming early. I had to wait until after 11:30. They will serve you lunch or breakfast, but you have to ask for the breakfast. The restaurant was a good Italian Restaurant called Little Napoli Pizza Restaurant.

Overall the place is decent and affordable, but far from luxurious. It is close to public transportation and a short walk/bus ride to the rail station. The staff was friendly. I feel I am being generous by giving them 3 stars.

Lovely little budget hotel. No bother at all and they let me park my car early which was a life saver. Beds were clean, toilet was clean. Tv worked and it was super close to the bus stop into central London.
We didn't try the food from the sister restaurant but it would have been easy enough to do so if we had wanted to.

Upon Arrival the Room I was Staying in had Not been Cleaned or Prepared. I reported this in Person to Reception. They got the Cleaner onto the situation. Credit due it was Cleaned out and Prepared satisfactory but this should have been all done before I arrived.
Later in the Evening I find out that the Kettle in room wasn't working either.
I reported but it took Two Nights before it was replaced.
For Breakfast they give you a Voucher and it's a Restaurant about a Five Minutes walk away, Ok if you're happy with this... And of course providing the Weather is kind.

Going as a family of 2 adults and 2 children for a overnight stay,our experience was very good .The kerb appeal of the hotel looks good .Andre on reception was very helpful and welcoming.
Our apt was in no 5.The room has two double beds ,shower room and toilet.we didn't have any problems with hot water
Kettle ,large cups,glasses ,small fridge ,tea ,coffee,biscuits .towels,soap. T.v
The room was clean and the beds were firm ,ok for me my husband found it a bit too firm.
The price we paid was a good reflection of our stay ,we would stay again.
Breakfast was at the Napoli restaurant down the road,only tea,or coffee with a brioche bun with ham ,looked lovely but not my type of breakfast.
All in a very good stay .
Very busy area.good transport links for bus travel.

I stayed there again because it appeared as one of the cheapest accommodation on Expedia and I was rather impressed by how spacious the room was so I felt that I got good value for money, especially its convenient location of having a bus stop outside and of course being on Uxbridge road. The breakfast in the morning wasn't the most interesting and certainly wasn't filling.

My single bed room faced the street. Lots of vehicle noise and people talking while walking on the sidewalk. No AC, but I was able to keep the small bathroom window open to get cool air. I think during the summer the room will be very Hot.
Hot water kettle, coffee, tea creamer, sugar in the room. TV and shower worked okay.
Check in required a $20 pound deposit for key return. So, don't lose the door key.

Staff were absolutely lovely, a big shout out the the guy that was on the desk all of our stay, he was great and very helpful. We were swapped rooms as there was an issue with one of the beds upon arrival which staff understood and accommodated. The room had everything we needed for a few nights, our coffee and tea was topped up and our bin emptied. Great location if you do not wish to be in central London and venture everywhere, transport is easily accessible too. We only had breakfast on our first morning as we thought it was full English breakfast but realised after arriving that it is an Italian breakfast which did not cater to the kids taste but that was our mistake and should have looked into it more as the photos of the full breakfast were old photos from a cafe that used to cater the breakfasts.

I had a neat little room. You could hear traffic sometimes but you will be fine with earplugs if its a problem. The pillows were good support, The hotel was very organised with quiet respectful space between people staying there. It's in a great area. Pub next door.. Not too loud people or music really couldn't hear it. I would definitely go back the front desk were very polite.

The hotel was okay. It was what we paid for (£60 a night hotel in London in a great location).

The bed had hairs all over it, at first the door wouldn’t lock properly and the breakfast we paid for was unfortunate.

The hotel swiftly sorted the lock for us which was helpful :)

The breakfast is at an Italian restaurant down the road and speaking with staff, they actually told us they don’t have breakfast on the menu so everything is made up on the day with what they have.

We had overcooked eggs, Italian sausage and pancetta the first day and barely toasted bread.

We left thinking it would have been better to get a meal deal from Tesco for breakfast each morning basically. The Italian restaurant is great for lunch and dinner though!

A convenient hotel and did the job.

I stayed here for two nights in a double room with breakfast included, and unfortunately the experience was very poor so would not recommend coming here at all will not be coming back ever.

The room was not properly maintained. The towels were unclean with stains and an unpleasant smell. Basic amenities were missing – there was no proper soap (only a dispenser), no shampoo or conditioner, almost no utensils, and only one small packet of tea provided for the entire stay. The room was also extremely cold even though the heating was on, and the hot water took a long time to work.

I raised concerns about insects in the room that I believed could be bed bugs, especially after my partner was bitten during the stay. When this was reported to staff, they were rude and dismissive and did not properly investigate the issue or offer an alternative room instead they checked us out.

Breakfast had been included in my booking and paid for in advance, however I was told on arrival that breakfast was not being served during my stay. I was given a voucher to use in the restaurant, but when I tried to use it I was still charged the full price and service charge and only received a small discount.

Overall, the accommodation and service were not as advertised and fell well below acceptable standards. The booking was eventually cancelled and only a partial refund was issued despite the problems experienced instead of full. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here.

I booked a stay here in an emergency because my mother was undergoing surgery in a nearby hospital. Shortly after I booked the room (around 2 hours later) she declined surgery and went home and died.

I asked to cancel the stay and provide a refund and was told there was a blanket “no refunds” policy, even though I had booked it literally only 2 hours previously. The complete heartlessness of policy application in a family emergency deserves a single star.

Conveniently next to some bus stops and a busy street. Small reception, budget friendly but small rooms. My double didnt look like the pictures and the bed was missing slats. The mattress was cheap and uncomfortable and the tv located in a far corner so difficult to watch - couple.of weird office style chairs also. Heating unable to be turned off and wallpaper / paint needing some maintenance. BUT for the price paid, it was ok for a night. Next door to a decent pub which does food etc. Would return if on my own and in West London.

This is a decent, affordable place to stay. It's not plush by any standards but it has everything you need, our room was clean and comfortable and the staff were helpful and friendly. There is no bar or restaurant but they have an arrangement with a local restaurant, where you can get breakfast, and there is room service provided by one of the hotel's partners. It's on the corner of Uxbridge Road and Askew Road, close to several pubs and restaurants and walking distance to Hammersmith. Will likely return.

Member of staff at check-in was friendly and very helpful. Info provided in advance by hotel was helpful. Bus stop right outside the hotel and excellent Chinese takeaway nearby (the only place still serving food because we arrived late in the evening).
We had family room (double & two single beds) very comfortable, clean. Slightly cramped but fine for just a one night stay. Bonus was a fridge in the room.

Hotel 261 is a good budget hotel - no frills but does the basics reasonably well.
Friendly staff, good location for travel options by bus, tube and overground.
Decor looks to have been updated not too long ago but shows a few signs of wear which is to be expected.
My only concern was the steps from the entrance - no problem going up the 5 or 6 steps but I have difficulty going down and there is no handrail. I managed but had to take my time and reach for the low wall for the first 2 or 3 steps.
However this would not stop me from staying again.

Solid place to stay. Easy walk to many services & groceries. Just under a mile from three tube stations Acton East, Acton Central, & Stamford brook. Stayed in room #18 which was a convenient ground floor unit. 6 nights in late-September 2025.

Negatives:
20 GBP cash key deposit is an unnecessary burden. Hot water takes several minutes to happen (earlier in the morning, later morning much faster). One Bath towel wasn't quite clean, replacement & others were clean. Missing towel rack in the bathroom. Frankly, a little pricey for this Acton location & off-peak Autumn. Minus one star for deposit & price.

Positives:
Check-in was easy, although I arrived an hour early, it was no problem & no added expense. Room was quiet, clean, & comfortable. Small view facing backyard. Refrigerator. Daily refills of Coffee/Tea, sugar, & whole milk. Glassware/ceramics were clean. Wi-Fi worked good the whole stay with no password. USB ports A & C.

Booked for a cheap hotel close to centre of London, Hotel staff were helpful upon check in, but room wasn't ready till on the dot of 2 as they were still cleaning, hotel was more a converted house, basic furniture and could do with some renovation.

Location wasn't ideal in the end as the nearest tube was a 15/20 min walk and then 20 mins or so to the center of London so took some time to actually get into the center.

Parking outside was convenient.

Overall for the price the hotel was good.

room was ok. tv too small so watched laptop. stayed 5 nights, room never cleaned although bin emptied. Reception couldnt give a 2 hoots, charged 20 for key to room and £15 per evening for parking. was told to park elsewhere saturday and sunday night despite notices stating first come first to park! more expensive hotels would have worked out cheaper!

The people were nice however their was hair on both the beds the sheet was stained yellow , the pillows were stained and the toilet roll was stained yellow aswell

"Bath" towels were more like hand towels.. only 5 parking spaces, 1 small bathroom window opens into a laundry room, other main window opens 2 inches.. room so hot and stuffy had to ask for a fan. Bed, wooden frame, so sitting up, top of frame sticks out into your neck, bottom of bed when kaying down feet caught in bottom slats..
Mattress, as thin as can get and all i coukd feel was the bed slats. Left as early as reception opened..

The accessibility from London was great. Lots of option for food in the area although no food on premises.No working WiFi and very sparse commodities for the price. Friendly staff!
