This is definitely not worth the star rating that it said it was...I would say absolutely no higher than 2 stars (at best).
The only saving grace was that the sheets looked clean, and the bed was relatively comfy (and that we were only there for 1 night)!!

This rates as the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The photos on Expedia and their own website bear no resemblance to the current condition of the rooms. I was booked for two nights but on the second night decided to drive back home in the middle of the night. The bed and mattress were so worn, that I could not sleep, to compound things, there was no hot water in the morning, so I had to have a cold shower. I informed reception about this who assured me that they would rectify this. After my return to the hotel on the second day, room service had not cleaned the room , again I informed reception, who informed be that they don’t service the rooms everyday, despite their website advertising room service. At this point I had had enough and left the hotel. I was not expecting a luxury apartment but this hotel does not get even the basics right

2} Poor shower bathroom with broken fittings and no hot water.
3 Dirty room surfaces were not cleaned and floor was not vacuumed.
4) No daily room service
AVOID THIS HOTEL!

Staff were not on reception.Elsewhere with another customer when we arrived Polite enough but appeared very stressed and rushed. The room/ studio was not as expected. It was in another building around the corner from reception.The room was cold heating radiators did not work. Very old cables looked unsafe. The kitchen was like a cupboard it had old glasses and grubby cups. Poor facilities. Room was not as described and far from photos on the Hotels App. The windows were wet from condensation. The bed was old and dusty with no mattress protector the mattress very stained. There were no sink plugs non for the bath either!! Chipped old bath. Someone else’s “ snot” on the edge of bath. ( I can provide photos) Shower head partly blocked with silt. Mildew behind taps. Dirty toilet brush full of paper. TV didn’t use but there was no remote to switch it on and there was layers upon layers of dust behind it. The fridge was noisy all night old with dirty shelves. I could continue this “box” I refrain from calling it a room / studio was just awful. I can provide photos for all mentioned and more. I would have left but we were on a schedule with no time to find anywhere else - it was a Friday night. Ideally should have walked away or asked for a refund but circumstances after a long day did not allow. Please do not use this place especially if you have asthma it could cause a flare the facility is a Petri dish of potential illness Can NOT recommend NOT NO NO - run away!!!

The room we stayed in smelt strongly of damp and was mouldy. The bed frame and mattresses were clearly mouldy. Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly and the floors were filthy. There was disturbance from the neighbouring room consisting of a non-guest accessing the hotel and yelling outside the neighbouring room, we didn’t feel safe because of this and called front desk who were very helpful and did they’re best to solve the situation but not much could be done. Pictures on the website do not reflect the actual accommodation, Wouldn’t recommend not worth the price.

I have to say that the room in this hotel was nothing like the photos they have shown, I’m not sure which hotel that was but it wasn’t ours. The room did not feel clean, the sink was blocked and we booked the room for 2 people and were left 1 cup for coffee.
The location of the hotel was good, only about 5 minutes walk away from the station which, unfortunately, we were only too happy to make on our last day.

The room we had (upstairs) was adequate for our needs - 2 single beds, bathroom, fridge. The shower was small, but ok - except on the last morning when there was no hot water. The room was quiet, except when other guests were walking nearby. The whole room was pretty shabby, dusty and not exactly sparklingly clean.

We originally booked a 2 nights stay at W6 Hotel Hammersmith, with check-in on May 30, 2025. Upon arrival, we were given a basement-level room, which was extremely disappointing. The entrance to the room was cluttered with piles of used linens collected by housekeeping. Then, the room inside had peeling paint on the walls, the bed and furniture were dirty, and the bathroom ceiling was also peeling. The sink and bathtub drained very slowly.

Our family had a very difficult night. The room faced a main street with heavy noise throughout the night, and we doesn't close the windows due the hot weather if close not fresh air for us to breathe. We had complained to the hotel staff that night, but they said no other rooms were available. With no choice for us stayed the night, but we barely slept at all.

The next morning, we spoke with the hotel manager and were given a different room on the first floor. However, the situation was not much better. The new room also had peeling paint and was not clean. At that point, we decided to leave the hotel immediately and contacted Hotels.com to request a refund for the second night.

The W6 hotel has replied to hotel.com on 2nd June 2025, that they can refund the 2nd night's staying fee. Unfortunately, even after more than a month, the hotel has still not processed the refund as promised for that second night. To make matters worse, when I called the hotel later to follow up, they claimed they had no record of our stay.

HORRIFIC - stay anywhere else. Sleep in a tent in the park - would be better than this hotel. A deluxe twin room with kitchi ette is a major misrepresentation- see photos. This room was filthy and hadn't been cleaned for at least 6 months if ever. It was full of mold, had loads of black flies and even slugs in the room. The toilet seat was broken the tv didnt work. The kitchenette was a plank of wood with a load of knives thrown on it - not even in a drawer, 1 plate 1 cup and a moldy fridge with dried milk in the door. The 'city view' was a wall in a basement. DONT GO NEAR THIS PLACE. i tried to change my booking but hotels.com were no help. I will be going to trading standards as this is complete misadvertising. Below is my receipt for what they said id booked and the other pictures are what we got

AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS.

I’ve stayed in countless hotels, and W6 Hotel in Hammersmith is hands-down the WORST I’ve ever experienced. I read the bad reviews and stupidly thought I’d give it a chance because of the photos and the location. Biggest mistake ever.
•There’s mould everywhere.
•The bed was filthy.
•The whole place feels disgusting and neglected.

I honestly think the good reviews are fake because there’s no way anyone could rate this dump highly. Do yourself a favour and spend a bit more money to stay anywhere else. This place is a health hazard and a complete scam.

There was no staff at the desk when checking in.

When a member of staff did arrive he acted as if we were an inconvenience.

As we walked to our room the whole property and particularly it's carpet and walls were dirty. There are holes in the wall and marks where paint is either peeling or scraped off.

The room was the same, dirty and poorly maintained. We had a kitchenet with holes in the counter top. Scrapes on the walls, and the bed smelt slightly of bleach. (Not to mention the bed was two singles slided together)

There were hairs in the shower and bathroom when we had arrived and marks on the toilet. The floor had clearly not been cleaned and had broken tiles, and a hole in the wall.

The window too was dirty and random splots of paint on the floor, walls, and door, as if to cover up marks. Frankly I would have like to have told the staff, but as we checked out the staff member gave us a grunt and didn't bother to ask how our stay was.

This was a disaster of a hotel, as as someone who's worked in the catering industry I know how hard some people work. The owners should be ashamed of the product and service they deliver.

Disgusting executive studio

I booked an executive studio and nothing was executive about the stay. Completely run down room, dirty and nothing worked correctly. In a kitchen cupboard it seemed to be 'lost property' as there was dirty boxershorts, socks and a wash bag left to our delight. The bedroom smelt of poo when we walked in, the bedroom door was literally a wardrobe sliding door and the ceiling over the shower had clearly caved in and they had pinned a floor tile to the ceiling... very executive! The bed hadnt even been made properly, there was no mattress protector on the mattress, the metal frame and white headboard were filthy so we actually wiped these ourselves. The blanket and cushions on the bed were stained and filthy too.

Only good thing about this property was how close it was to the Hammersmith Apollo. I wouldn't ever stay here again!

Paper thin walls and noisy all night. No phone in room to get assistance and TV did not work.

Room had not been cleaned before I checked in. Asked for it to be cleaned when I went out and the cleaner rolled her eyes... They then cleaned up a bit in the bedroom but nothing in the bathroom.

Have not responded to complaint I made.

Average stay, in need of a re do in hotel

Average stay, hotel room was ok to lay your head down in a good location. Property old and run down, in need to a re do. Wi dow seal's broken, holes and dents in places and a sink that wouldn't drain correctly.

Hotel contacted us to say we were unable to have you stay due work within the hotel and offered us a new location but we were unable to this offer due to location.

Informed the hotel of this and never received any further communication on it, messaged and rang a few times but was ignored. Thankful hotels.com rang and spoke to hotel and sported it out.

There was no work being done around or in the hotel at the time we stayed there, so not sure why they told us we couldnt stay but then changed their mind

HOTEL FROM HELL!

Do not stay here! Got to the hotel, then taken around the corner to another building, which we thought was strange. Firstly, thought the room had an odour about it, so opened a window, only to find it was broken, and didn't shut or lock.There was no kettle or cups, we had to go to the other building for these! There was a hob, cupboards sink & tv in the room, all filthy, tv was melted underneath, and hob was broken and unsafe, dirty beyond belief, microwave the same. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting, not cleaned at all, dirty sink toilet & bath/ shower, mould & dirt everywhere, hairs that were not ours! Dirty floors and cabinet/mirror. Had to wipe around with their towels before using! We also had someone knock on our door to tell us we were talking too loud! There was continuous noise and doors banging all night people in and out constantly. In the morning, we were asked to hurry up & leave as they wanted to clean! My husband then complained about everything, only to be told by the man that he wasn't the owner. To say we are fuming is an understatement! The hotel is NOT as advertised at all, it's disgusting and filthy, and tbey obviously couldn't care less. If i was HOTELS.COM i would take them off my website and do an investigation. We have stayed in loads of hotels all over London & other places through HOTELS.COM , and never been so disapointed. We want a full refund, and a review/ inspection, so others don't have to experience this. The train station is cleaner!

Our room wasn’t very clean, and there was a damp smell all over. During the first two nights of our stay, our neighbor made noise all night, and we couldn’t sleep well. On the second night, the electricity went out, which led the room manager to change our room the next day. In the new room, the radiator didn’t work, and we had to use an extra radiator that was provided, but it didn’t work properly either.

The new room didn’t have a kettle, and even though the hotel manager promised to bring one by the next day, it never arrived. The bathroom drain was clogged, and every time we showered, a lot of water would gather in the tub, which wasn’t hygienic. Additionally, the sheets clearly hadn’t been washed properly.

By far the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed at. The room had dirt and dust all over. The walls had stains everywhere. The bedding was stained and dirty. It smelled like cigarette smoke and old food cooking. The towel warmers in the bathroom were on high heat and you could not turn them down. It made the entire room very hot. The front desk said they could not turn them down. If you receive a basement room, you will pull your phone out and start looking for a different hotel seconds after walking in the room. Words can not describe how bad the rooms are. We have stayed in bad hotels, but this was the worst. We would never stay at a W6 hotel again. Sleeping on a bench at the airport would be an upgrade from this hotel.

This hotel was very poorly maintained. Stained sheets, broken toilet seat, broken door handle, damaged walls/ceiling, damaged lamp shade. Room service only consisted of a pile of new towels on the table. No new sheets and beds were not made. Fire alarm went off two nights during my stay at around 3am. I would not stay here under any circumstances.

Visit to the Eventim Apollo

This was a really handy stay for the Apollo within walking distance. I wanted to cook and so booked the triple room with kitchenette. Cooking utensils were in short supply and no glasses but it was sufficient for me to knock up a stir fry and the fridge stored everything for my breakfast and was warm cosy and quiet. Bonus early check in so would definitely stay again. Staff were friendly..

Horrendous.

Me and My boyfriend booked here as we were going to a concert at the eventim apollo. After a 4hr journey to this hotel we were presented with the worst \"hotel\" room we've ever stayed in. After reading some reviews we knew it wasn't going to be luxury but christ. Our room was outside down some steps into the basement. As soon as I walked in I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

The guy and reception was nice enough except for when I decided to go back to reception after an hour of contemplating and asked him if there was any chance of a room swap as the room we were given was simply dire.
I then showed the guy multiple photos of why I was not happy and he didn't say anything except I will come look at it in a minute. When coming to look, he walked around and said nothing. After showing him how unclean and faulty everything single item was, I asked if there was anything that could be done about the situation and he said give me 5-10 mins as we are fully booked but may have a room. I min later he asked me to come and look at a different room (another basement room) to see if it was any better. The stench of stale fags hit me as soon as the door opened and immediately the smell, broken shower head and the scratches and stains everywhere. So we chose to just keep the other room.

Also our fire alarm went off at 1 and 5am which was fab.

I wish I could write more…

We really were going to pay to stay somewhere else and would have if it wasn't for the concert being so near.

Property photos must have been taken about 20 years ago. The room was shabby, damaged, smelled of smoke (we later discovered a bag over the smoke alarm). Hand prints on walls, stained bed sheets, bath was mouldy.

Would really recommend avoiding this hotel, it was awful.

The idea is excellent - reasonably sized self catering studio.

The photos are great.

The outdoor space is lovely.

Unfortunately it's worn and damaged to the point you'd barely recognise it Vs the photos and while the staff are lovely, with that and the fire doors propped open and stair carpet loose I can't recommend it unless there's no other choice.

Bed was good, towels were clean but the overall comfort let down by wearing, dirt and no blind to go over the bathroom window. Bathroom window is lightly frosted but not enough to take a shower with the light on in the evening comfortably.

With a deep clean, some paint and maintenance and a bit of a refresh it'd be great.

The location is excellent and within walking minutes from bus and tube. The room was clean, espacious and quiet. Unfortunately the room had some maintenence issues: the TV wasn't working and the toilet roll holder / brush were broken , small chest of drawer was broken. There was coffee and kettle but milk was missing and the mattress of the extra single bed was hollow and not very comfortable at all. But overall I'd say for the price , the stay is great for a couple of nights

The pictures on the website did not match the room myself and my guest had selected, there was no stovetop, the bedding was stained & had hair on it, there’s mould in the shower grout, there was two mugs, two plates, two forks, and two spoons for our utensils for a week-long stay, the receptionist walked us to the other building as we weren’t staying in the main building, and he walked infront of us on his phone and left us to follow him with our heavy luggage. There was a dried up contact lense on the floor in the room, and dust on the furniture aswell, the entire hotel needs a lot of refurbishing and decorating. Housekeeping entered our room at 9am without saying anything and left the room immediately after, making us feel unsafe, you can hear the people above and below you incredibly loud too. The hotel is located in a good area and is a 2 minute walk to Hammersmith station which is very helpful, and the staff were friendly and accommodating when we asked for extra towels, etc, however I wouldn’t choose to stay again.

We went to reception and was taken to our room that was in a separate building around the corner. Upon entering there was piles of towels and bedding stored on the floor. The room itself was awful. There were marks all over the walls, chips and scratches all over the wood work. I’ve never seen anywhere this bad. The blanket on the bed had a large bleach stain and the bed itself was so uncomfortable. The bathroom was horrible, dirty shower-mouldy grout, limescale on all the taps and accessories, the kitchen cupboards were dirty inside. I felt very unclean and am going home to shower!
This is very disappointing as I brought my disabled son to see Paloma Faith at the Eventim Apollo and this accommodation was disappointing to say the lease.

Musty smell basement studio room

It was a real surprise to find that the accommodation was situated in the basement and on entering the air was musty.

Avoid - this place is vile!

Stains all over the bed sheets, very visible stains which clearly shows the bedding had not been washed, shower not working as expected, stains all over the carpet, large extension lead going across the room, plugs sellotaped, food mess left on hobs, overall a really disgusting hotel

Property is a NOT as depicted on Expedia. Narrow stairs, no lift, tattered towels, broken shower door, clogged drain, grimy walls, dirty appliances, heat did not adjust, missing fixtures with wires hanging from the ceiling. And the best part - when we checked in, we were given a key to a room that was occupied- we startled and woke up another couple.

Do not stay here. Our toilet broke and was not fixed for the rest of our stay. Towels were old and graying. There were blood spatters on the bathroom wall. The oven door was completely smashed. Toilet paper holder was hanging by a screw from the wall. Couch, window, and table all broken. Headboard had about half inch of dust on top. We had to ask several times for TV to be fixed, when it finally was there were 5 available channels. I could go on and on.

Won’t stay again

When first arrived I was greeted with quite a few black bags in front of property in the court yard, when got to reception no staff so had to call them, then when checked in to location staff member walked us to our actual property around the corner (so not actually at the hotel) when trying to enter room card didn’t work so ended up with the master key, when unpacking the room was so hot that I had to turn of the heater and tried to open window which just shut on its own, making the room hotter.

When the main lights are on one of them flashes like made, the lights above the bed didn’t turn on, there is no bed side tables or little shelve. There wasnt a plug in kitchen to be able to wash up not a tea towel to dry up

This hotel is incredibly run down. The room I was put in stank of damp/smoke, the lamps by the bed were broken with wires hanging out.
Broken toilet seat. Shower was leaking and couldn’t be stopped and there was no hot water whatsoever.
The place isn’t fit for purpose.

The room/studio it’s not like in the pictures, furniture are old and doesn’t feel very clean. However I didn’t use the kitchen. Despite this, there is a very good space in the room and the location is great. Overall, for the price I paid I would go back for a night or two in London

Not at all like the photos. Walls are paper thin. Patio door couldn't be locked. Woken by screaming baby every morning of stay. Service was sub par. Always said they would \"look into an issue\" and then never come back.

My room bore no resemblence whatsoever to the ones pictured in the listing. The furniture is battered, the walls badly need painting, and the building entry is hardly attractive. There was no one at reception when I arrived in the middle of the day, and I would say it's a bit of a stretch to call this a 'hotel' -- there is no common area or any typical hotel amenities. I realize that places to stay in London have become quite expensive, but this place is overpriced for what you get

Room was not well maintained, wall paper was peeling, there was a hole in the wall and furniture was marked and stained, curtains did not properly cover the windows and the kitchen was not clean enough to use. The bathroom was really dirty and overall the stay was horrendous

Room could have done with a Kitchen sink to clean, the wall switch was missing dimmer switch and the entry door outside to the rooms did not close properly allowing anyone access to the courtyard and rooms.....

The property was in a great location with only a 5 min walk to the station and shops. The staff were friendly and helpful too. The double room was spacious and comfortable but was showing its age, but nothing fresh paint wouldn't solve.

Room was unclean and in disrepair (broken cabinets and dirty walls/ceilings). The bathroom was full of mould. We were so appalled that we left and booked another hotel. The hotel only provided us with a partial refund. Very unhappy stay and would not recommend.

Upon arrival our room was cold but the staff immediately addressed the issue and even brought a space heater to speed up the heating process.
Perfect location, extremely polite staff, stores/restaurants galore, transportation hub 3 mins away

Shockingly dirty

The rooms were very hot, even with the windows open. In room 206 the tap was loose in the kitchen sink, there was no iron but had an ironing board?? Dust and dirt on the heated towel rail in the bathroom, dirty windows (hand prints) in the front room area, toilet seat not cleaned properly. The fan in the wardrobe was covered in dust, so when plugged it in dust went everywhere!!
Room 207 had a bag of rubbish behind the bathroom door and in the entrance hall a black bag of toilet rolls, the sink bubbled in the night and sounded like water was going to spray out in the kitchen. Also the room was too hot and was unable to cook it down.

Photos are very deceiving. Room was spacious, but no way was it an 'executive suite' like advertised. Flooring was all lumpy and coming apart by the bed, shower head was too heavy for holder so we had to make a holder from a wire coat hanger, shower tray plug hole not allowing water down so was left standing in dirty water. Bathroom radiator leaked so couldnt be used, so was cold in bathroom. Only 1 mug in cupboard so one of had to use a pint glass for a cup of coffee. Bed very uncomfortable and very noisy everytime one us tirned over. On us side it is ideally located for apollo but still wouldnt return

Excellent stay in a lovely hotel

W6 Hotel Hammersmith is in a great location to get around the rest of London, the property was very clean and tidy and our room was spacious and very comfortable, all the staff especially the gentleman on reception were helpful and cheerful, I will definitely book again.

Needs some work, but you get what you pay for

Bed was clean and comfy. Shower warm and plentiful. Inexpensive (for London) and in the right location for my trip. But the lack of privacy (no net curtains, on public view) was not brilliant and the room i stayed in needed a lot of work.

Disappointing

Called the number on the booking confirmation ahead of our arrival to check if we could leave belongings before check in. It was the wrong telephone number. Went through to a random hotel and the receptionist wasn’t helpful with pointing us in the right direction. This caused me worry re the apartment booking. Upon arrival a member of staff helped and allowed us entry to our room before check in which was great. The room backed on to another property where there was ongoing building works taking place which can’t be helped but there was no mention of this at the time of booking. The room, fridge and bathroom were filthy but fortunately the bed was clean. Food splatters up the wall and dust on the oven! The lampshade was all broken. The location was perfect for the Apollo theatre and there are lots of pubs, shops and restaurants on the door step so we were entertained. I’m glad we were just staying for one night as we were woken early to the sound of building works. Not quite the quiet, romantic getaway we were hoping for but did the job for one night.
