Our lively Hammersmith hostel is located just across the road from four tube lines to connect you to the rest of London's amazing tourist attractions, as well as a direct link to Heathrow airport. I booked the 8-bed female ensuite. I really didn't have any high expectations. But to my pleasant surprise both the room and bathroom were neat and smelled good. Good water flow. Neat white beddings. And the roommates were respectful of each other. Even though you walk into some loud music at the reception, the rooms are kind of insulated. They are quiet and soothing and the music doesn't filter through. It's a superb location too. Easy to find food, shops and transportation. I had a good experience.

Good location in West London with underground near and buses to explore London. Shower great, adjustable hot and cold.

It’s great having a bar and restaurant nearby and the area is diverse, vibrant, and lively. Annie and Alan were fantastic in helpful. I and my friend had a private 2-bed room which was cute but went during what turned out to be a heatwave and the room was hot so be prepared for that if you’re going during a heatwave lol. But otherwise it was great: convenient, affordable, clean, great staff, and fun environment and area.

Worst stay ever. St. Christopher's now downhill.
This hostel used to be great. Unfortunately, it's the disrespectful guests that have let me down. After checking in, the room was wide open and someone obstructed the entrance with a bin, which is a health and safety violation.
Guests were being loud with their phones and put their movies on full blast - at 12am! The receptionist did a good job by closing the door and ask the guests to turn their phone volumes off.
Unfortunately, one of the guests put their phones on loud 3 times, up until 5am. I couldn't sleep at all, in which made me feel severely agitated. I informed the receptionist about this.
Because of this, I had no sleep whatsoever. I had to take a day off work because I was ill due to no sleep. I lost a days pay because of this, and I will be seeking further action - resulting in covering my loss of earnings and refund for my stay.

Guests were being loud with their phones and put their movies on full blast - at 12am! The receptionist did a good job by closing the door and ask the guests to turn their phone volumes off.
Unfortunately, one of the guests put their phones on loud 3 times, up until 5am. I couldn't sleep at all, in which made me feel severely agitated. I informed the receptionist about this.
Because of this, I had no sleep whatsoever. I had to take a day off work because I was ill due to no sleep. I lost a days pay because of this, and I will be seeking further action - resulting in covering my loss of earnings and refund for my stay.

Really hard to find the place, would have been nice to know it's part of Belushis! I walked past it twice, no indication on the outside at all!! It was a little noisy, but totally understandable given the location. Fabulous value for money as always, helpful staff. light/power socket really accessible and useful, which is always fantastic!

The location was excellent, it is directly opposite Hammersmith station. The room was clean and the bed was basic but I liked having the curtains for privacy. Plug sockets and reading light worked well. The bathroom was clean but was a bit tired. The shower was decent and shower gel was provided. The clothes hook on the back of the door was falling off (a screw missing) but I was impressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom.
The hostel is very noisy at night, mainly because of the bars beneath and it being a busy London road. There were lots of drunk people shouting, loud music and sirens going by throughout the night. I know this is not the Hostel’s fault but just something to bear in mind if you’re a light sleeper. Overall it was a pleasant stay! :)

This hostel wasn’t in the top shape. Whenever it rained it flooded our room. If you want to go to bed before 2 think again, the nightclub is really loud and is right underneath the rooms. Most the staff are very friendly, some aren’t. I was woken up at 1am because they tried to double book my bed.

My review is specific to the 3rd floor. I found that all four bathrooms were disgusting every time I went in and the floor in general honestly smelled like sewage. I stayed in a bottom bunk and woke up with four big bumps on my hands and arms that I’m assuming are spider bites/some type of insect bite. While the staff was nice, I would not recommend this hostel.

I loved that there is so much around the location, but the rooms were excruciating hot with a small window with very little ventilation. It was as hot as the sun the entire stay. Not even a fan provided which I felt was a health hazard if you’re not hydrated enough because of how hot it was in there. Otherwise, it was an excellent stay.

Space between top and bottom bunks is not enough, I'm 5\"2, and I kept banging my head on the metal bar. No bath mat, the floor got very wet.

St Christopher hostels are always in a prime location and the dorms are always disgusting like living in a dumpster. This hostel has no lift, you have to checkin in the bar, the staff is never at the reception desk, the rooms are stinky dirty bed sporadically placed in the super tiny room. The en-suite bathroom is small stinky and dirty. Luckily I stayed only one night. It was the cheapest hostel in London so I got what I paid for. If you want loud, nasty, sleep in your own vomit type of environment St Christopher is your place. If you want clean odor free with amenities book elsewhere. I don’t recommend staying at any St Christopher hostels.

Only one drawback is the break fast it should be improve a lot in terms of timing and food items.

I have been staying at this hostel for the past 7 or 8 years. It is a convenient location and very safe. There used to be a kettle and free tea or coffee and breakfast was included in the price. I stayed at the hostel last December 2022 and that was the last time that those services were offered.

Absolutely digusting. I came up to my room to someone in my bed, then i was told they had no beds left so i had to leave ... it was so cramped and absolutely disgusting!!! Smelled awful and was generally dirty, no lift so had to carry heavy things up flights of stairs and was falling apart! Also the club below was ridiculously noisy and expensive!!

The room was small and had no where to hang clothes (no wardrobe or chest of draws), Sink in the shower room was cold water as hot tap not working, but used the sink in the seperate toilet, but the main problem was the nightclub music blaring till 2pm. we were stopping over night to continue a long journey and needed to sleep due to early rise the next day. I would have liked it to have been mentioned about the music as would not have stayed there. Breakfast was good.

The location is right next to underground. Good to provide hair dryer. Has curtain for each bed, provides a bit of privacy. Water is hot enough for bathing. Provide microwave oven and kettle as well as water refilling, good for back packer. Quilt and pillow case are dirty, stains on it. Chewing gums are found at corners of the bed. Toilet is wet and dirty. Staff is always busy at the bar. Almost double charged me at counter while i paid online already (fyi, they do not do credit card refund). V noisy at night as the bar is on the ground floor so music keeps playing till midnight.

It was a great stay for a hostel over a bar! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere amazing. Not to mention, you couldn't wish for a better location. However, the bathrooms weren't always the cleanest and I do not recommend the female dorm. My experience in the mixed dorm was a lot cleaner and friendlier.

This is a dorm room style bunk beds that for me was not comfortable at all. I could not even sit in bed and barely had enough space on the floor for my bags. The bathroom was cleaned everyday but with the sheer number of people using it it got bad quickly. The location really was great! And the staff was very friendly and even offered to take my bag up the 4 flights to my room (no lift). If you know you are ok with true hostal type close quarters this might be perfect for you but I left early to find something different. I was also hoping for a comunal meeting place that they didn't have. They have a bar which was very busy... Fun but not conducive to meeting other travelers. They did refund me for the nights I didn't stay which was very reasonable. And like I mentioned the staff were very nice.

Fantastic location, directly across from the tube station makes commuting a breeze. Staff were both friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was nice - simple as you'd expect. The bedroom, bathroom, and shower rooms were clean. You never had to wait as there were always one open. The only complaint I would have was that even with fans in the room, it was very stuffy and hot. Saying that, I rarely long periods of time in the room as there was so much to do in London. The other thing is that the hostel has no lift, so I had to carry up my things four flights of stairs each time returning to the room. Overall, I think this is a great hostel for the money you pay. I think anyone would struggle to find a better deal.
