Nose in the middle of the night. Police was coming. My husband spend two hours outside the hotel... The resection men not let him in, with no reason, and no ideas to help him. But the room was ok. Not fancy, but clean.

This was among the poorest experiences I have had while booking through Hotels.com. I suppose these things happen but the facilities were NOT as advertised. Specifically they advertised a laptop-sized safe which was just NOT the case. Coupled with the fact that my room window had no lock on it thereby giving full access to the room from the outside, I just couldn't leave my work laptops in the room or sleep comfortably. Anyone could literally slide the window open from the outside and walk right into the room. I ended up checking out a mere 4 hours after I checked-in.
The last bitter sting in the end was I that prepaid for three nights and the property would not issue a refund (which is in accordance to their policy).
I guess Hotels.com offers booking insurance for a reason--I've just never needed it in almost ten years of using the platform. Oh well, at least the staff was friendly, but good heavens, what a complete and utter let down this experience was! I won't be back.

The room was tatty dirty marks on the walls and ceiling cracks in the walls. Shower screen broken no plug in the bathroom sink. Leading up to the room star carpet needs replacing or a good clean and a very pleasant smell.
I did stay at this hotel before and it was very good but it seems to have gone downhill I won’t be booking again at this hotel.

- The AC was not working, and the room was swelteringly hot. I asked at the front desk if they could look at it, but they said they had AC but would not turn it on until they thought the weather was suitably warmer. The room was hot.
- The room had a TV, but it was hanging off the wall, and despite trying multiple times to tune it could only get one channel. I asked at the desk if they could look at it, and they said that this was normal, as the TV reception was really bad at the hotel, so there's nothing they could do.
- The Wi-Fi was barely 4 megs, no matter what device we tried it on.
- No room service on any of the days we were staying, except for towels dumped on our bed. The room was already dirty and had no soap (although an empty shampoo container was left in the shower from a previous occupant).
- It advertised luggage storage, but we were also told that we could not leave our bags with them.

Overall, a pretty awful experience.

Overall very poor. The only good thing about this place is the location that is good and quiet too ! Fridge not working they move us another room and again fridge was not working….we were waiting for ages until they gave another room…..bad smell straight away from the entrance….the furniture needs replacing as everything else…. Definitely 100 % not going back ….and my advice is avoid

Room was average in condition at best, the laminate floor was swollen and very noisy, the smoke alarm was covered with a plastic bag, meaning this created a health and safety risk. The bathroom was not very clean, dirty grout, cracked floor tile, corroded fixtures and something brown smeared on the tiles.

OK but need to improve

I have used Simply Rooms on a number of occasions and will use them again mainly due to type of accomodation and location. Having had to pay a bond of £100 (refundable this time I was a bit disappointed to find the kettle housing damaged and the window blind inoperable. Having requested extra milk I waited 2 hours before going to reception and explaining I hadn't any.

Convenient, get what you pay for

Very convenient for events at Olympia which is why we picked it. This was my second stay. Staff we very helpful and the location is good. The room was clean enough for a couple of days but could do with a good dusting. Bedding (and beds) need replacing and room needs TLC in places but you get what you pay for an no major issues. Wifi was fine for browsing (didn't try streaming), room had lovely aircon and a mini fridge which was very convenient. Room was also generally pretty quiet and housekeeping made it nice and tidy each day. Would probably stay here again for an event at Olympia.

I’d an inexpensive London hotel, so expectations were low anyway.
Superficially ok, but then you find old socks and tissues….
Shooter and water pressure good, but it sprayed everywhere on its old fitting
The really really poor point was no curtains! Just vanity curtains that cover 10% of the edge of the window and don’t close! Signs of old blinds, long since gone. So basically boy much sleep, perhaps less of an issue in a dark winter?!
Avoid this hotel.

The ratings on this hotel are a lie. Firstly, this is definitely not a 4 star facility. More like 1 star at the very most, 2 star. The ratings mislead me to book this place. It’s either the previous occupants have a very low impression of what a standard hotel should look and feel like or they are just liars. I really don’t know how to begin. The first room I got was on the ground floor. It smelt musty and moldy. It had no ventilation. I had to ask for a room change. After a little hesitation, I was moved to a room on the first floor. The heating worked well but the room was dusty, the bathroom was moldy and overall I could not use the toilet facilities because I was uncomfortable with cleanliness. I found a massive bug in the middle of the night just roaming the bathroom. Thankfully, I was only there for one night. I won’t be staying here ever again.

Just OK needs a re vamp

The Hotel is in a good location for Olympia, I stayed here for one night. The staff were generally helpful and allowed me to check in an hour early.

The place in general is a little tired and wasn't the cleanest hotel i've stayed in. lots of dust on the windows and the matress on the bed was really scuffed which you could feel through the sheets.

The floors were really noisy in my room which was annoying for me and no doubt the room underneath. Facilities were ok and the kitchenette in my room was a bonus to cook food and breakfast.

The pillows are terrible, super thin and abviosuly not been replaced in years. although i was given 3 of them so that was ample for me on my own. had i been sharing it would have been an issue. cant understand why such a small expense hasnt been taken care of given so many people on the reviews have mentioned this.

My car was broken in to and my front window smashed on the road outside the hotel in the middle of the afternoon so if you're traveling by car use a multi story rather than park outside. Apparently not the first time its happened yet the Hotels CCTV that was directly outside the hotel wasnt working.

Not the best stay for various reasons but an ok hotel for the price if you're visiting a show at olympia.

The property was nice and so was the room, but it was not what we'd call luxury as described on the website. It was clean and th bed comfortable, but the pillows are poor. They are so flat that two even three is not enough for a truly comfortable night. Having said that we managed to sleep ok. For some reason the floor was very noisy, there was a cracking sound which sounded like something being dropped on the floor, whenever you moved. The shower was lovely and the towels nice and big. It was a pleasant stay and very close to Olympia where we'd been during the day. We'd probably stay again, but hopefully the pillows would be better.

This property is a bit shabby and run down and everything is a little grim. The service is not great. I left my dirty towels on the floor to be changed, as instructed, and I got back to find that the cleaner had picked them up and hung them back up again. The person on duty did rectify this when I complained though. Dirty cups and glasses did not get changed. They did not have any hand towels. However it was otherwise well equipped with hairdryer, safe, fridge, tissues, sockets etc and the shower was very good and the room warm.

The hotel is nice place to stay. Its quiet and comfortable.

I also think they should assist customers in lifting their bags to the upper floors as there's no elevator in the building. I struggled with my box to the third floor and got my bag damaged because the stairs is also quite narrow.

Water should be made available for every additional days booked. Being entitled to bottle water only at the first day doesn't encourage long staying customers.

So let me start at the begging they make it look smooth. But the wait until your last day of staying there and they open one of my luggage that I actually leave in the room and was lock. Since they can’t steal anything from us since we left all the important things with us at all times. But I find my luggage open and was lock. I really not recommend to anybody to stay here. Your stuff won’t be safe.

Great value for a night while attending an event at the Olympia - for which the entrance was just a couple of minutes from the door! Room was small but clean and well equipped. It could possibly have used a little TLC on wobbly taps etc but not a problem at all for us. The staff were friendly and allowed us to leave our bags after check out. We'll definitely be looking to book again next time we attend an event at the Olympia.

Twin room was of good size and seemingly in good condition. The location is quiet and convenient. However, we were in the half basement and the bathroom was dunk and there was plenty of black mold growing on the tiles. When I requested the staff remove it, they said they couldn’t, but offered to give me a cleaning spray to spray it myself (DIY). Also, the room backed reception and in addition to people coming and going, the staff and their children were loud past 11:00 pm. “Bonus” annoyance: wake-up siren at 1:20 am because a guest started smoking in one of the other rooms.

Excellent location!! Walking access to Attractions, shopping, restaurants and transportations. Olympia train station is 3 minutes walking. staff are great! rooms are clean and standard size for London. The area is safe for walking even at midnight if your arrival is after 11:00pm make special arrangements as is no desk attendant at night. Definitely I am coming back to London and stay in Simply Rooms and Suites.

Terrible no blind fitted and spring poking out

I had to ask twoce over two days to have a room with a fitted blind or to have the blind actually installed in the room.
Apparently a previous guest damaged, and in the whole of London they could bot get someone to fix the issue.
The room I finally was moved to had springs poking out of mattress and was generally not great condition.
Not even worth the cheaper price

I would say that the summary of this hotel is \"You really do get what you pay for.\" The staff was nice, no complaints at all about the service. If you go into your stay knowing what you're getting, then you should be fine.

The shower wand holding clip was broken, I had to jam the wand into a weird position just to take a shower. I complained and the guy tried to fix it, but instead of replacing the broken piece he just glued the wand into place. However, where he did that made the water just go straight down, and there was no way to get under it.

The hotel is a walk-up, so be prepared for steep stairs with your suitcases.

The neighboring guest decided to smoke a joint on the last night of our stay. Thankfully they only had one.

The bathroom sink did not have a flow regulator screen, so whenever you turn it on it sprays water all over the bathroom.

I don't think anyone has swept under the beds in a very long time.

They did not provide any washcloths. Two days into our stay they only gave us one hand towel. Four days in they didn't give us any. Apparently their supplier ran out? They gave us an additional full sized towel when we complained.

The beds are hard and you can feel every single spring. The pillows are very thin.

Again, for a budget hotel, it's not the worst I've seen, but definitely not a place I'll stay in again.

The only problem we had is that i had requested a twin room and we had a small double so a bit of a small bed to share with a friend. Also only 1 bath towel, after spoeaking to reception had another towel. Everything worked properly eg hair dryer, shower, lights, kettle.

This was a well worth the price we paid. It was clean although a bit tired. We had a little proolem with the floor in the first room but where pleasantly surprised when we not only got a new room but an upgraded one too. It is currently having a new paint job but every one was so nice and accomidating.

The price was great at about £35 per night.

However The room was very dusty on most surfaces, including all over the bed; one of the blankets provided had thick brown stains on it; the towels in the bathroom smelt bad; and there were ants running all over the floor.

Overall I think more than £35 per night starts to become a rip-off, considering the poor standard of cleanliness.

The check in process was great as there was someone at the desk to let me in and give me my key etc.

NO TOOTHPASTE IS PROVIDED - be aware of this.
However, shower gel and soap are provided.

If you don’t have lots of expectations...

For the price, I did not expect much and It just reached the minimal level of expectation. Room was not clean enough, especially the kitchen. Stains on bed sheets. Cleaning lady was coming once every 2-3 days. Power outage for 8 hours one day without any proper handling by hotel management. They did not even have a flashlight while we stayed in the room in full dark mode. Hotels.com had to provide us an alternative room for the night while hotel staff simply vanished.

Disgusting service on this occasion

Air con wasn’t working despite informing staff and having reassurance that it will work. Checked out after an hour after sweating like mad in the room. Tried to speak to manager regarding the situation and found him extremely inappropriate as he said ‘well you spent time with ur partner, I know the background’. Shocking as prior to this the staff are nice but the manager was totally out of line here.

The night before I called up to upgrade my double room to a suite with a kitchen.
During check-in the girl seemed all flustered and mentioned it was her first day. Fair enough, I gave her the benefit of the doubt. She did try her best, bless her but the hotel is just a mess.
Considering it was an “upgrade”, I was disappointed when I saw what the hotel classed as a suite. It was a good size with a kitchen but that was it.
The following reasons are why I will NEVER stay in this hotel again:
- The fuse blew every time the tv, kettle and toaster were all working at the same time, which meant you were unable to charge your laptop or mobile as electrical sockets not working in the room. I cannot count the number of times we had to go to the fuse box.
- The wifi was not stable. Owner claimed there was no issue.
- There was a stain on the floor right by the bed, which owner claimed was a scratch in the laminate. Please see photo before and after I took a wet cloth and cleaned it.
- I found wax stains on floor.
- When I talked to the owner about the issues, he kept repeating that there was nothing wrong with the room and indicated I could go elsewhere. I honestly would have if I wasn’t at Olympia for an exhibition for work and out in the evenings again. I asked for my upgrade refund and he laughed in my face. He clearly lacks customer service and is clearly in denial. If I could give the hotel zero stars I would.
What did I pay an upgrade for what?!

The rooms are well equipped and maintained, and very clean. They are very small though, so bear that in mind if you are bringing a steamer trunk. Worked really well for us, good location for Olympia and good bus service even at night.

Near to station. View from bedroom was machinery fans systems not much of a view as expected but was comfortable. Staff started to come in while we were still in room. They should of checked in book before doing that so otherwise ok. Room was not as picture as stated

Good budget hotel in London

This is a good option for staying in London if you are on a budget. It is in a residential area a couple of miles from the main tourist areas. My husband and I walked a lot and never felt unsafe.The nearest tube station Earls Court is about .7 mi away. We ended up taking the bus most of the time. There is a bus stop about two blocks away at the end of the street. With an Oyster card it is very convenient. Our room was very small and at first we didn't think we could handle it for four nights but it was clean and comfortable and we ended up liking it fine. The bathroom looked to be recently upgraded and had a really good shower. A good restaurant for breakfast nearby is George's Cafe. Holland Park is a short distance away. It is a beautiful place to walk and has a cafe inside.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night on 10 June 2019 then we were returning to stay for a further 9 nights a week later.

We were very disappointed with the room we were given for our one nights stay on the 10th. We had booked a Classic Double Room for both bookings. The room we were given for our first booking was on the ground floor and was extremely small and the bathroom absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. The room was extremely dusty and dirty in places that are obvious to be seen by a cleaner (i.e. all on the outside of lamps, remote control of the tv). There was mould appearing on wall in the main room and paint was peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom.

I must stay that after we had unpacked for the night we mentioned to the manager that when we returned we expected a bigger room and certainly one that had not housed a smoker as all rooms were advertised as being smoke free. The manager did offer to move us to another room, but given that we had already unpacked and were flying out very early the next morning we declined to be moved. He did promise us a larger room when we returned for our second stay and assured us that it would be a non smoking room, which did happen, the room was slightly larger and didn't smell of smoke, however the room's cleaniness still could have been a lot better. Still a lot of dust.

Want my money back

The bathroom ceiling in the shower was falling down and needs repair. There was mold by the window and air vent. Floor squeaked every time you walked on it no matter where you were in the room. People at the front desk were rude and unprofessional. I was shhhed by the person on call at the from desk, for opening up the squeeky shower door and told it is a quiet hotel and to be quiet.
