The location was great, very easy to access the room, good communication etc. It was let down by the terrible state of the carpets in the communal areas and hallways - it was disgusting. There was no AC and during a heatwave meant that I didn’t sleep a wink as the room turned into a sauna!

Room was small, (as expected due to type of room booked), and clean. The app/website used to unlock room door and main front door was easy to use and helpful

The front lobby area, staircases and corridors had carpet that was stained throughout, not a great first impression, but the room was nice overall, especially for the price in London on an event day

Check in terrible and awkward
Room unbearably hot
Light switch broke and they wouldn’t help so had to ‘sleep’ with the lights on
Staff are useless - they recommended I use earplugs to help with my light issue
Didn’t know I had already paid for breakfast
If you ask for assistance with anything they refer you to Expedia
Room is basically a sauna in a shoe box

Very noisy! Could hear every conversation from your room of people in hallway then the lift was unnecessarily loud as it made a beeping noise everytime someone got in or out. The whole building was so hot but it was an okay budget stay for 2 nights

There are no staff at all in this property so if there is an issue you need to message them only.
Check in is not smooth if you dont have data or a phone with no battery, as their model is all dependant on digital technology…if your phone has no battery your not getting in your room!!!!!!!
No air con either makes it a hot and stuffy room in the summer, nice room otherwise!

These compact rooms boast good design and a clean, economical layout, and that was true for the most part. However, the bathroom requires serious gymnastics just to sit on the toilet, as the sink in room 6 is positioned so close that it presses against your chest. This is not merely poor design, it verges on a code violation. Someone was clearly not paying close enough attention during construction. That said, the bed was clean and comfortable, and the heating worked very well.

Great location and exceptionally clean room. Perfect for my stay. The only downside was the last night patrons across from the room and the floor below slamming doors, running up and down the stairs, playing loud music and making so much noise into 4 AM, treating the establishment like a fraternity dorm. The downside of such a hotel is that it’s impossible to address rowdy patrons as it happens. This situation notwithstanding the rooms were perfect for my stay.

Really enjoyed my stay at Bob W London Olympia! Clean and compact room that’s just enough for two people. Despite being central, I found that it was quiet and relaxing at night, offering a real home-away-from-home feel. Walking distance to a bus stop and tube station which is a plus!

Only note for anyone staying here is that if you’re using Vodafone, be aware that the mobile signal around the hotel can be quite weak, which might make the online check-in a bit tricky. However, once you're close to the entrance, you can easily connect to the hotel’s Wi-Fi using the password provided in your check-in instructions so that makes it easy to check-in!

elevator was broken the entire time, came into a clogged sink in the bathroom that took the team a day to fix, and little black bugs that I reported to the team but they didn't seem too concerned about. Even found some of the bugs in my skincare when I came home. Very loud interior, little to no sound proofing, could hear the neighbors child yelling \"LE TOILET\" all night. I feel very ripped off by the price I paid.

A short stay is okay.

The place was very clean and that was great. The bed was comfortable, wonderful. Communication was good. Now, If you are from the USA then the place is too small. No table to rest your food or anything else. No chair to sit other that on the bed. It is good for overnight or the weekend stay, not for a 10 days vacation.

This place is appalling. Access to rooms is ONLY granted via online check in. When it doesn't work there is no alternative to access your room, no on site staff, no plan b if IT is faulty. I wasted several hours (emails, un answered phone calls) trying to check in. Eventually, some let me into my room remotely via a phone call. Had no confidence I would be able to get back in since it took about 10 calls before I actually spoke to someone. Therefore had to leave the room and find another hotel. Wasted hours, whole trip ruined. Avoid.

It’s an adorable space but if you have a few suitcases, don’t bother. Who’s idea was it to have NO lifts?! It was a battle to yank my luggage down the stairs to my room and then up again the next morning. Really not good enough, knowing travellers are almost guaranteed to be carrying something.
My room was deep in the basement and the narrow corridors and extra doors made it gruelling to get to. Don’t stay here long term in summer months — it’s a sauna in the LG studios, although my room had a door that opened up to this communal garden which others had access to which somehow didn’t feel safe (even with the heat, the door looked like it could be opened from the outside and I was terrified of rodents).

You get a teeny kitchenette and very small fridge.
Thankfully, a tower fan was provided which was the only silver lining.

Not as expected

I have stayed in a different Bob W accommodation so I was expecting a similar level when booking this place. Unfortunately, things went wrong from the beginning. When I arrived, my profile was not updated so I could not enter my room. After 15 minutes of getting drenched in sweat from dragging my bag up and down the staircase and having to correct the support person in the WhatsApp who could not locate my booking, the issue got resolved.
The room is very small and stuffy. There is no aircon and the window only opens a bit. The cleanliness was not great - there was a long black hair on my towel, dried coffee grounds inside the cafetiere and the floor had clubs of dust. The kitchenette amenities are lacking - there is nowhere to clean the dishes other than the small sink in the bathroom and even if you wanted, there was no sponge or washing liquid provided. There is also nowhere to sit when eating other than on the bed or on the toilet. The walls are very thin and provide little to no soundproofing - I could hear the noisy neighbours and there was a lot of traffic (and I am not a light sleeper). The last day I got woken up at a silly hour by the noise. When I messaged about it, I was offered a complimentary late check out (I was there for work) and then complimentary breakfast (again, I was there for work and not going to hang around). I was also accused of not raising an issue earlier (noise is not a new complaint from guests and earplugs are not a decent solution).

My room 205 was clean and comfortable but pretty small . Good for one person and Perfect for a short stay. The coffee bar, microwave, mini fridge, and complementary tea and coffee was a nice touch. No elevator, which can be difficult with big luggage. Be sure to download the BOB. W app for easy check-in, door code and to unlock your room because of keyless function.

As a last minute booking I found the checking in process cumbersome and time comsuming. Apartment is clean enough. However the bathroom is not that great as you can barely reach the toilet as it’s so close to the sink and the shower also doesn’t stay upright.

It takes a bit to get used to lack of hotel staff as everything is through your phone but bob w does contact you through whatsapp amd gives youbthe codes to your room and tips for your stay. there is a bus near that takes you to the train where you can access most landmarks in the city.

There was some confusion about obtainng the door code on my first night so i had to make the decision to book the hotel up the road for the night. I finally got an email from the staff the morning after and i was able to get into the building. The apartment was clean and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was a bit cramped but i managed it. Other tennants were quiet so the only noise i had was the occaisonal police car going past the building. This place was a good value overall and i would stay there again.

Great stay in the West Kensington area. The apartments are clean, beautiful, and cozy. Small, thoughtful details like personalised cards, local coffee, and shortbread make you feel welcome. Very close to the London Olympia events place. A few parks are nearby to enjoy nature. Walking distance to a few underground stations helps to plan your commuting easier.

Ok but …

It’s very basic and simple but our room was by a noisy road. It did have facilities to heat food and also a fridge. Good water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. No aircon so summertime I believe you’d need a window open for fresh air and ensuing road noise There were several emergency vehicles with sirens which were quite disturbing because of the noise. It’s a great concept but I would not use it again.

Customer service is deliberately unhelpful, doesn’t read what you’ve actually written, communications have been frustrating, lacking empathy, intentionally unhelpful and repeating the same void of information. Since the price is kept low due to the centralised remote reception, this needs to be on point. Automations need improving. We have met 3 other residents during our one night stay. All had the exact same issue as us on arrival where they couldn’t access their room or the building as they had missed the email to state they needed to verify themselves. Why not send an automated reminder alert to say the verification is still incomplete and you cannot do this on arrival, and must be done in order to access the room. Hugely frustrating stay. Room made from thin walls, windows that aren’t soundproofed and is NOISY. Didn’t sleep. Dealings with the online chat never wish to be repeated.

This was a fantastic property. The room was beautiful and new, full of thoughtful touches. The bathroom was sparkling clean. The size of the room is perfect for a single traveler but a little snug for two people. The check in and out were hassle free and the whatsapp help was prompt, even though it felt like it was powered by AI. Even though I didn't need much assistance, I would've liked to see a friendly face on site, just for peace of mind. All in all, very much recommended!

Not my best visit to London. You think having a reception less hotel will be fine , but it doesn’t work! There was a fire alarm in the hotel with nobody around to support. The rooms aren’t cleaned as expected. This hotel was basically a dorm room or a hostel. Had to WhatsApp to ask for everything and my room stinking marijuana from a previous guest. Avoid!

Honestly first time staying with bob w,
And it was fantastic.
The location (train station a stones throw away) or a 5min walk to Shepherd’s Bush station, hotel, cleanliness, everything was amazing couldn’t have picked a better place and would 100% stay in a bob w hotel again.

We had a little bit of electrical lighting problem on our last night. But they tried there best to fix the problem.

Honestly I would recommend a stay in a Bob W accommodation to anyone!
