Lovely hotel, immaculate decor, lovely to have a kitchenette area as a bonus, fridge, kettle and hob if you had a longer stay
Very modern with sliding mirrored doors along whole of one wall which hid the shower and separate toilet. Atmospheric lighting and tv
Only very small downside, no vanity mirror to do make-up with, all mirrors were smoked effect which made it very difficult to see properly in applying make-up. Only tiny downside which could be fixed.
Nice area of London, lots of bars and restaurants and ideally located for Hammersmith appolo

Lovely hotel - immaculately clean with friendly staff. Excellently located close to the Tube - the Hammersmith & Circle lines are closest to the Herton, with the District & Victoria lines just a few minutes on. The mattresses are quite firm but that seems to be the norm in hotel now.

The price, cleanliness and location were all superb. It was quiet in the streets nearby, yet close to great pubs and restaurants, as well as the tube. Only downside was layout of the toilet, meant privacy was more limited. Otherwise great stay!

Booked a superior room but got a room in the basement packed with beds. No separate sitting room as described. No bedside tables or shelves to put drinks or phones on. If ypu made a drink you gave to put your drink on the floor as only place to sit is on beds.

Unsure if Expedia or Hotel to blame - but my booking wasn't on the system on arrival so it was a half hour faff. Staff at reception was nice and sorted it in the end; but not what I needed at 11pm arrival :(

Rooms a bit odd. - no side table for the bed and wardrobe so close to bed it didn't open??

Here are the positives…the location is great! And they held onto our bags until check-in time.
When we returned, we were given a room in the basement that was extremely cold. And the heater in the room didn’t work. We were brought space heaters, which did work but the bathroom closet and shower closet doors automatically lose so they remained frigid for the duration. Because of the space heaters, we were left with one working electrical outlet; the ones of the office desk didn’t function. And I nearly forgot to mention the pile of trash that was directly in front of our door when we arrived. It was finally removed after I asked them to do so. So, not terrible but I wouldn’t book again.

i am am a single female staying on the ground floor on the road next to a pub in central london with NO DOUBLE LOCK?! never in my life had a been to a hotel like that. i asked to move rooms, couldn't be done. didn't sleep a wink, as felt so uncomfortable

toilet door slammed shut
fridge (empty) made weird noises
check in process was awful
person who was checking us in was nice, but unfortunately there was a smell of BO from her that went around the hotel (aware she couldn't control this, but smell on entrance creates a feel)

Additional *fees* were charged at checkin on top of the prepaid rooms and damage deposit.
The man on the checkin desk said the extra would be refunded right away, yet this was a lie as later on I was informed by another member of staff it has to be written up and then signed off by aanager to then be refunded in 3-5 days

We have stayed quite a few times abs as always the staff and the room were great. The check in has been changed now and to be honest it's hopeless, we were quung out the door to use the single ipad check in, it used to be so good but now you check yourself in on an ipad which is a pain, you can't see the staff as they are hidden away. A great shame and definatly has reduced our scoring of the hotel.

Stayed in room B17 and unfortunately had a really poor experience. Our room was right next to the staff room, and there was constant banging and loud noise throughout the night, making it impossible to sleep. The carpet was filthy, and the room itself was so dark and gloomy. It honestly felt like an afterthought — tucked away down in the basement, through a locked back door and past the staff area.

When I mentioned our bad experience to a staff member, the only gesture offered was a bottle of water, which felt quite inadequate given how much we paid for two nights.

On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and the location is excellent, especially if you're visiting the Hammersmith Apollo. But overall, I left feeling disappointed and wouldn’t stay here again.

I was really impressed with the hotel. Location was excellent, less than 5 minutes from Hammersmith tube, close to the Eventim Apollo. Lots of places to eat near by. There was a fridge in the room, the staff were friendly and the room was clean. Beds were quite hard but not as bad as some I have stayed in. We felt safe walking back late from our concert. I would stay here again.

2nd Stay at the Luma

I stayed at the Luma pre-Covid and was looking forward to staying there again. The staff are so nice and helpful. The rooms seem like they could use a little \"updating\". Nothing major, and certainly nothing that impeded my enjoyment of my holiday. Some of the switches in the room didn't seem to do anything. The wall between the desk and the bed was coming apart at the seams. The safe was locked when I got there, couldn't get it open. And it does seem that some things that used to be provided in the rooms are no longer available.
Other than those items, it was a nice stay. The cleaning staff always had my room made up by the time I got back from my day's wanderings around London. Comfortable bed and pillows. Towels were quite nice, luxurious even. Shower worked great.
Had a great stay and would stay at the Luma again.

Great one-night stay close to the tube

Great one-night stay on our last day back in London before leaving for the states. Love the overall modern sheik vibe, AIR CONDITIONINg, and the comfortable King bed. Hammersmith is a hip area of London with quick access to the Hammersmith tube station. I would stay here again.

Basement room was an unwanted surprise. It had one window and it looked out into another hallway rather than outside. Sink is in the main area not the toilet room. There are no hand towels - just large towels. Shower stall is very tight. Mini fridge doesn’t work. Room was clean, good air conditioning, solid water pressure, lots of mirrors. Location was great - just a few minutes walk to Hammersmith station.

The property was in excellent condition, appeared to have been recently renovated. Small toilet area and separate small shower area but adequate. Room was larger than expected and clean and modern. Hotel had very good security. Very close to Hammersmith tube station with access to several tube lines. Lots of reasonable restaurants close by. Coffee and small breakfast items as well as drinks in lobby. Room had kettle, small fridge and safe.Would recommend and stay here again.

Hotel staff was very friendly. Restaurants, shopping, London Underground were all nearby. Everything was at a walkable distance. The rooms are a bit bigger than most boutique hotels I’ve seen. Will say that room service never changed the sheets when asked to clean the rooms. Sheets became noticeably dirty after staying a week.

Nice place to stay local to the Hammersmith Apollo. Lots eateries and pubs nearby. Tube is a few minutes walk. Bed was comfortable but the room was very hot even though i turned down the thermostat.
Though the hotel is good value, there was no complimentary water. That was sold at the desk for £1.50. Also selling over priced confectionery. The room had a few stains on the couch and floor. The towels are very small and no hand towels offered. Otherwise a good stay and would stay again.

Nice Hammersmith boutique hotel. Reception is self check in with tablet which I hate, especially when there are two members of staff going spare.
I opted for a Luma room which was a mistake as it was in the basement which was freezing. Called the janitor to help with the heating, he was so helpful and even came back to check we were ok. Room ok once warm but found carton and hair from previous tenant around bed. Same process on check out, do your own typing while being watched by two reception staff!🤔

Minor disadvantage is no breakfast offered but plenty of options close by.

Nice room only let down by the towels

Nice modern room with an unusual layout but it had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, it was nice to be able to open the window to get fresh air and it was very quiet so had a great nights sleep. Only downside was no hand towels and smaller than average bath towels.

Got a great last minute deal. We were in the basement room which was pleasant enough. The window opened which was useful as the room gets warm quickly. Front desk staff welcoming. Only slight issue was the bath towels, they're very small!

My friend and I booked this hotel last minute as we were in an appalling Airbnb situation and had to leave our booking 12 days early.
This hotel was such a relief! Beginning with the welcome from the team, through to the cleanliness and comfort of the room, we felt at home.
One thing to be mindful of is that some rooms are below ground level and even though they are light and airy, there is no outside view. It didn't bother us, but might not appeal to everyone.
The hotel is located close to Hammersmith railway station, and all our favourite pubs and restaurants, so we'll definitely be back.
