Good location - handy to central London, Great public transport connections. Easy to get to Heathrow. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice

Room was decent, toilet paper wasnt replenished unless asked even when it ran out, soap was not replenished in the bathroom when it ran out, mini fridge was not clean and even had a few hairs inside, shower door has a constant leak so that when you finish your shower, theres a large amount of water on the bathroom floor, shower almost never gives HOT water, usually just warm water, we tried during mornings and evenings and it was the same problem. Some parts of the floor were dusty. There was scaffolding outside the building and construction rubble as well, which ruined the view and was an absolute eyesore. Also due to the scaffolds, we were unable to open any windows when it got too hot in the room.

All in all, these were not major issues or deal breakers, I didnt mind my stay too much. The staff were super helpful and friendly, and the location was good and close to multiple underground stations. Unfortunately for the price i was expecting something better.

Clean, warm but cramped room, no table, chair or bedside cabinet. Had to put Kettle on floor almost under bed because plugs low and also nothing to rest cups or kettle in. Very noisy road so unless earplugs no sleep possible. WiFi spotty. Toilet seat loose, had to rest tray on rubbish bin to make a cup of tea. Very poor layout

Clean room, comfortable bed. Only small niggles being bathroom needs a shelf above sink for toothbrush etc and toilet roll holder on the wall as opposed to putting toilet rolls on cistern. Also could do with a small table on other side of double bed as. Nowhere to put glasses.

Damage deposit for a room that was already bad

The vent was dirty which could have impacted my sisters asthma, we had to buy anti bac wipes to clean the fridge due to mould. Before we cleaned the shower and sink it smelled like something died in there.

To add to this they charged a damage deposit that was not mentioned prior

Rats in the wall and room

I would not recommend anyone stay here.
There are rats that come into you room at night. They were in my suitcase and ran under the door when I was awaken by the noise. They are in the walls. The hotel owner refuse to refund us so we can move to another hotel. I had to ensure this everynight. There is also construction taking place and guy early in the morning outside my window on scaffold. The owner and the desk attendant Aska was rude and dismissive. There are other hotels in that stretch that is nicer and more cost effective. I moved to the sapphire next door and it was much nicer. Do not book

Good location & what is expected from budget spot

After reading through some reviews, I was a bit nervous about staying here. But, for the budget per night, I think this hotel is actually pretty good and it's in a decent location. The hotel is composed of several flat buildings, and it definitely gives off the vibes of your first flat in England with the narrow carpeted hallways where you have trouble figuring out where your next step is. The rooms are small and the bathrooms kinda narrow - but again, for the price I'm not expecting luxury. It was a really nice location between Hammersmith and Shepherd's Bush. The area is really good if you are smart and don't go out late at night. During the day, it's a really nice place to walk to Westfield Mall or talk a longer trot to Kensington. If there's one thing that wasn't fantastic, it was under construction so there was scaffolding right outside my window which meant that I'd wake up to people walking right outside in the morning. Not the worst thing but was weird to experience first thing in the morning. Would come back to this location next time I'm in London.

Central and close to transport. There were renovations being done so lots of noise from the building works. The room was tiny and I think a bit unfinished from the renovations, but a pleasant enough stay. Be good once the work is done but the room was really tiny with no iron, hair dryer etc. Although I’m sure you can ask for them. The office seemed a bit disorganised.

Hotel staff walk in constantly on your room

Hotel staff kept randomly unlocking my door and walking in without any warning. Extremely invasive. It wasn't even the day of the checkout and they kept barging in.

Hotel 65 is made up of more than one house, my daughter and I had a beautiful twin room that had clearly been recently refurbished lovely decoration, comfortable beds, a little fridge and great condition bathroom. We were ground floor at front so we did hear the front door closing /slamming occasionally but didnt take away from it being a great room

It was just super weird. There were no towels. The toilet wasn't cleaned. There was a sheet on the bed, but it wasn't fitted and you couldn't anchor it under the mattress so it just slipped on during the night and you ended up sleeping on the bare mattress.

I was not impressed with the lack of housekeeping.
My bed wasn’t made, the tea and coffee in the room wasn’t refreshed.
The shower didn’t work well, and the sealant on the shower tray was broken most of the way around.
Some of the bulbs in the bedroom ceiling were not working.

Mein Aufenthalt im Hotel 65 war eine große Enttäuschung. Bei meiner Ankunft am 29.12.2024 funktionierte die Heizung im Zimmer nicht. Zwar wurde das Problem nach etwa einer Stunde behoben, jedoch war dies kein guter Start. Am nächsten Morgen gab es kein warmes Wasser, sodass ich nicht duschen konnte.

Am 31.12.2024 wurden die alten Handtücher zwar entfernt, jedoch keine neuen bereitgestellt, und auch andere Zimmerutensilien wurden nicht aufgefüllt. Als ich mich an der Rezeption beschwerte, bekam ich nur die Antwort: „Das ist so passiert, beschweren Sie sich bei Expedia.“

Die fehlenden Grundausstattungen und die unprofessionelle Haltung des Personals haben meinen Aufenthalt äußerst unangenehm gemacht. Ich kann dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen.

Beautiful hotel in a busy road

The hotel is located in the centre of London, within walking distances from Shepherd's Bush and Hammersmith tube station and Kensington Overground. Next shopping centre, pubs and take away restaurants are in vicinity.

The room was clean, equipped with everything you need, everything worked well and it looks beautiful.

However, Shepherd's Bush Road is a very busy road, day and night and it's in proximity of a fire brigade station. As the permanent traffic produces a lot of noise, a soundproof window would be a reasonable investment which would increase the comfort.

Great place to stay

Great location with bus stop right outside. Great bakery and pubs etc very close. Our second stay and we'll be back. Lovely room with fridge. My husband struggles with stairs so we were given a room on the ground floor. Staff very attentive and accommodating in the main. Clean and lovely new breakfast room. Very busy at the weekend so avoid that if you can.

Great location, close to public transport and nearby cafes. Very clean hotel, room is small but has everything you need for a quick stay. I'd say the only major downside was the noise coming through the room window - the window is not fully flushed against the window frame, so there is noticeable street sound and noise coming into the unit. It might be a problem for some guests (I was able to sleep fine though). There was also no easy way to hang towels in the bathroom, which was a small inconvenience. Staff were very friendly though, provided a second pillow when I asked, without trouble.

Room was quite hot due to it being summer but staff were very helpful in providing sheets to use instead of the duvets and a fan. Area was great and very handy for buses and tube. Recently stayed here for 3days. The meet & greet was good. My room on the other hand was not. Hallway and my room was dusty and musty smell, like a construction site. WHY, Because they had Renovation work in the next room. They didn’t work, while I was there but all the dust in the hallway to my room was so dusty. Also I saw a mouse in my room…..it wasn’t a good look or feel as it needed AC in my room…….so hot & musty. The location is great and easy to get round.

Staff were very welcoming to my friends and I, room had all the essentials and was clean. Perfect for a couple nights away if you’re out and about all day. The fire alarm went off during the night and one of the staff members came round and checked on each room to make sure we were all okay also. Only thing I would say is that the TV in the room kept freezing and glitching so I just had to end up watching something on my phone (which isn’t even an issue!). Would highly recommend this hotel especially for the price point, hidden gem!

Hotel is made up of 4 adjoining houses on a fairly busy road.

Rooms are modern, bed comfortable, new bathroom, clean and cosy.

Fixed the TV aerial as it was broken (zero channels on the list).

Nice to have a fridge in the room.

Would have been nice to have a fan, especially as it was very hot and had to leave window open, which made it very noisy with the traffic.

The property was convenient to shepherd's bush tube station and plenty of nearby restaurants. I had booked a single room which was slightly cramped although the enclosed bathroom was really quite good. There was a kettle in the room but no convenient plug socket for it. Overall I was happy with my short stay there.

I never do reviews but I was very disappointed with our stay so I will leave one today. The building is under renovations and an absolute mess. Our room had old dingy and worn out towels, a blood stain in the bed, holes in the sheets and pillows that were flat like they had been worn down. The pictures online do not adequately represent what is actually seen in person. It’s not great.

When we left we asked to leave our luggage in with the front receptionist since we had to check out at 11 but had a whole day of sightseeing. When we came back we found that our bags were left in the kitchen on the floor along with many other bags from a school group that had just arrived. Our bags were not in a safe place and mixed in with the school group. We asked if we could get our bags from a new man working his shift who had no idea who we were or if those bags were actually ours. Anyone could have taken our bags. He did not verify those bags were ours.

This was just not good.

The room I booked was not what it turned out to be. I booked a triple person room with a baby cot, but my room turned to be 4 beds that sleeps 5 and I didn’t get my baby cot. The WC has no fan. And the morning of checkout, staff walked into our room before checkout and woke everyone up. No lobby to sit at. Will not stay again.

A receptionist at night time was quite kind and very helpful. A hairdryer was missing in our room at first, but the receptionist gave us a new one when I asked him. However, we had been stolen our stuff which we left in our room in daytime probably by room cleaning staff. We asked about it to the receptionist, but he said he had no idea and he didn't tell us about the staff. The hotel didn't compensate for our lost at all. They are robbers and it was a crime.

Fantastic value for money

For a two star hotel this was excellent value for money. A short walk to the nearest tube stop and a bus station right outside. We didn’t opt for breakfast but there is a bistro cafe right opposite and many choice of food venues within a couple of minutes walk.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and we experienced no issues during our stay.

Unfortunately there was a lot of noise from above - the sound comes right through the ceiling so I could hear every TV show, shower, argument, etc. Not sure if all rooms are the same, it maybe due to the age of the building. If you're not on the very top floor, invest in earplugs.

It was easy to find and easy to check in. The room was a bit in the small size with no place to unpack our luggage but it didnt boder us really. Our room was facing a very busy road so it wasnt the quietest sleep we ever had yet again we managed.
Room and bathroom in particular was spotless 5 star for cleanliness.
Basic breakfast was also included and the price we paid was very reasonable. If you looking for a budget hotel i can highly reccomed it. I would definitely stay again.

For the price I paid, I can't really complain, The room was good for the price paid and location of the hotel was ideal for the O2 Shepherds Bush where I was seeing a gig. However, I would not stay here again.

A combination of street noise and noise from the room next door meant I got a very poor amount of sleep.

At breakfast a staff member sat me at a table with other guests I did not know which I found to be incredibly awkward and uncomfortable. If I'd been asked, I'd have been happy to wait until a table had opened up, but this was not discussed with me - I was just instructed to sit where the staff member pointed me.

Whilst overall the room was very good - the shower did not work properly, only giving a trickle of water and there was no shower gel provided.

We will never stay here again.

My wife and I are approaching 80 years old, we requested a room on the lower floor a week in advance, they put us on the 4th floor, no elevator.. Breakfast was as expected but promptly at 9 AM we were ushered out of the dining room in the middle of our meal. Cleaning staff would wake us several times before 10 AM until we got up.The front entrance is also a garbage collection point , unsightly and no doubt a health concern.. In general staff were unfriendly or unable to communicate in English.

This property was a reasonable price and the staff were helpful. The fire station is just down the street and it was lights and sirens all night long. This is not unusual in a city but there was also the banging of the front door directly against our bedroom wall. People ran in and out all night banging the door against our wall. That was when they weren't standing outside our open window laughing, yelling, shouting all night long til (4:00am). We got no sleep for four days. Each morning the maid came to the door, gave a quick rap and then came in even though it appeared that we had locked it from the inside. There was no door on the shower. We were given one towel. For 2 people for 4 days. There were no wash cloths or hair dryer. The shower nozzle was broken and sprayed everything (no door, remember). We would have reported that but then had to deal with repair crews. My husband fixed it temporarily. We knew there was no AC but the room was very hot. AC would have allowed us to shut the windows and drown out some noise. The nice mattress is being worn quickly because they only put on one full size bottom flat sheet that doesn't meet the edge of the mattress. There were only two flat small pillows. I guess you get what you pay for but we wouldn't go back.

You get what you pay for in terms of amnesties, location, and ambience of the room, so it is pretty ok.
However, while checking out, there was a lady complaining that they gave an underground room with no heating and a lot of insects, and the only response she got from the receptionist is that heating is automatically turned off in May because \"this is London\" and she was very very very rude with the lady.

Cleaning could be improved - noisy

Staff is helpful and friendly.
There was a strong smell of sewer from the bathroom.
Overlooking Shepherd's Bush road, it was very noisy.
The TV remote had clearly never been cleaned.

Cheap and Cheerful

Check in quick. Actual room in another building across the road. Was on a floor on it's own. The room seemed quite soundproof, though given the people I saw at breakfast the next day, I doubt they were making much noise to put that to the test. Took me a while to find as my phone went haywire but actually quite a short distance from the tube. Breakfast was continental - a pot of tea with toast, yoghurt, muffin served to table, and cereal available self service. As a single traveller I was sat with another guest, which I didn't mind at all, though things could get cramped when busy. Overall, a cheap option near to the venue I was attending.

Overall we enjoyed the stay. The only thing that we didn’t like was that the receptionist was rude when we first got there and the rooms had no ac or any type of ventilation. There was a small window but at night it would get hot and barely any air would pass by.
