The staff were helpful and courteous. We cooked our Xmas dinner in the kitchenette. The kitchenette was well stocked for us to cook gourmet meals ( pots, pans, utensils, etc. Hammersmith is a 10 minute walk with a plethora of stores, pubs, and restaurants close by. We have stayed at the Lamington Apartments six times over the years and have never been disappointed.

Great stay for a London visit.
Walking distance to trains with access to multiple lines of London Underground.
Hammersmith area lovely to explore, especially along the riverside. Plenty of good pubs, cafes and restaurants.
Apartment cosy and comfortable with good kitchen and laundry facilities. Bathroom a little old but clean ( although only toiletries a small soap).
Staff extremely helpful and responsive.
Would definitely stay again.

Walkable to transportation, shopping, and food. Spent a great deal at T.K. Maxx getting things I didn't prepare for. Very accommodating staff. Apartment was nice and clean. Appliances were clean. Would stay again. If stairs are a problem, ask for a lower unit.

Comfy home away from home

Had what I’d class a 5 star stay on my first leg. Lovely classic building, roomy and nicely design apartment, clean and well appointed. The second leg of my stay (trip to Europe in between!) was not as great. Same building, but flat on topmost floor with heavy suitcases and no lift. Flat was not as well maintained and not as well cleaned before we checked in. E.g toilet was near impossible to flush as button was faulty. Reception was super friendly on both legs, but had not-so-great experience with back office regarding non-communication of earlier office closure. All in all I would recommend staying here. And the location is great!

Price was good, but was less happy once we discovered that both reserved apartments had carpets everywhere (nearly all picture does not show this). 10 minute walk from Hammersmith station which is not bad, but area has less restaurants and services than it once had. Beds were confortable, but the rest of the furniture was outdated and worn out. None of the knifes were good to cut anything and the kitchen was barely furnished enough for four people. With the two bed room setup, airflow to the dining and living room was horrible with temperatures above 25C and had to ask for fans which only one of the two apartments. In summary, the ask questions before renting as a hotel room with modern accomodities might be a better choice than renting this apartment.

This is my second stay in one of the Lamington Apartments, and I’ll absolutely be booking with them again. The apartment is in a quiet, residential neighborhood with easy access to the Tube (approx 10 min walk) and local bus lines, making it a super convenient base for exploring London.

The Lamington Apartments are consistently responsive and helpful. For example, when I let them know the handle on the bedroom window was broken and requested a fan, they had someone there the same day to deliver the fan and fix the window — impressive service! Communication is quick and easy using WhatsApp.

We appreciated having access to a washer and drying racks, making longer stays much more comfortable. And the kitchen is a great bonus — perfect for making breakfast or a quick meal after a day out in the city.

The apartments have modern decor that is comfortable, clean, and not dated! The beds are comfy, and the bedding and pillows are high-quality. This is especially important on my list of things to look for when making reservations!

To top it all off, we were surprised and delighted with a free upgrade to a two-bedroom property — a thoughtful touch that made our stay even better.

Highly recommend staying here for both comfort and convenience!

We had the top 2 floors of this building. Although there’s no elevator and 3 flights of stairs, the apartment was nice. The dryer of the washer/dryer unit didn’t work. I would stay here again. Be aware you’re .5 miles away from both tube stations, though

Nicely updated apartment. It had everything we needed for cooking and cleaning up. Comfortable beds and big fluffy bath towels. The only downside was the narrow vintage stairway, it didn't take long to get used to it.

It’s in a safe neighborhood, the apartment is in perfect condition. Kitchen was well equipped with pots and pans, plates and utensils. There’s a washer - a washer/dryer combo, we hanged dry our clothes. The restaurant by the corner of the street was good and they offered discounts for the tenants of the apartment.
The only thing to note is our apartment is on first floor, with two suitcases per person for a party of three, the staircase is normal (I guess in European countries), not very wide, so moving many luggages is quite a challenging exercise. And, I guess it’s also very normal there in UK, the water pressure for shower is very low, which we are not used to. It takes a long time for one to finish showers, not to mention about washing the hair. The bathtub is tall for the sides, definitely feels not very safe for older people. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The staff there were responsive and helpful.

And the two chairs in the living room were the most uncomfortable chairs I've ever sat in. But both those are a little nit-picky. 4.5 stars out of 5 and I would stay again.

The staff were incredibly nice, super helpful and accomodating. I arrived too early to check in, but they held my bags for me and then even moved them into my apartment when it was ready - which was really kind since I had a broken foot at the time! The apartment was spotlessly clean. My only \"complaint\" was that the heat can't be adjusted and I was often chilly at night - if there had been an extra blanket in the cupboard, the stay would have been perfect!

Thankfully Sadie helped solve our issue when we first arrived at the property.

The flat was nothing like what we’d seen in the photos. We understand having stayed in many hotels/apartments in and around London that the photos are not always completely accurate. But on this occasion the disparity was unbelievable.

We went down to the reception, explained the situation showed the photos we had seen on Expedia to actual photos of the flat and the young lady empathised with us and helped to arrange a solution to better suit us.

There is no mirror in the flat. Only a small one over the sink in the bathroom for which the light was not working. It wouldn’t cost much to stick a full length mirror in one of the cupboard doors and would sure help. Many of the floor tiles are broken which is not ideal and a bit dangerous. The thermostat cannot be adjusted, you can press buttons up or down but the actual temperature doesn’t change for your comfort. If sauna vibes is what you are going for, then the place is spot on. Other than that, the place is nice and well equipped. Just could do with a bit of a spruce to put it up to par with its sister accommodation Room2 Hometel, part of the same group.

Couch was dirty and falling apart. Doors automatically slam shut unless wedged open. People downstairs let the doors slam at all hours. Neighborhood was nice and local restaurants very good. Staff at check in and out very nice and professional.

Having a living room and kitchen area was nice, as it allowed us to spread out a bit (unlike most tiny London hotel rooms I have stayed in). The reception staff was very friendly. There were good dining options nearby. It was about an 8 minute walk to the tube station or shops in the opposite direction. Steep stairs up to the the floor, but the building felt secure. The bathroom was the smallest I've seen, but clean and adequate. Our primary issue was how hot the apartment was. We were unable to adjust the thermostat, so had to open the living room window and turn on the provided floor fan. Perhaps management could have helped with the temperature, but we were busy touring during the days and didn't inquire. We didn't mind being a bit away from the city center, so the extra space and kitchen made the tradeoff worthwhile.

Our flat was in an ideal location for tourists, just a 6-minute walk from Hammersmith Station, served by three train lines. Hammersmith has various shops, restaurants, and grocery stores, and the area felt safe even at night. Most tourist spots were accessible within 15-30 minutes by train. Additionally, it was just a 10-12 minute walk to Westfield London, the city’s largest shopping mall.

The flat, a typical Victorian-style apartment, was not luxurious but clean and perfectly sized for our family of four (with a teen and a small child). It featured a kitchen equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, oven, and microwave. On our first day, we noticed issues with the dishwasher and microwave, but the staff promptly replaced them. Their office was just a minute away, so they were very responsive. Housekeeping services came once a week with fresh towels and bed linens. We were very pleased with our decision to rent that flat.

Our stay was ok. On hotels.com it says they have AC, they do not. Also we stayed on the first floor and you could hear people walking around upstairs very easily on hard wood floors. Its hard to get any sleep like this. Otherwise it was very clean and nice finishes.

First, I must say how impressed I was with the staff. Prior to our stay, they checked in with me to see if I had any additional needs or questions. They held our luggage for us prior to check in, so we could begin exploring London. We had a garden apartment which was clean, quiet and a short walk to Hammersmith tube station. There were plenty of groceries, breakfast/coffee shops and restaurants in the area. Loved the location!
This made for a relaxing, enjoyable vacation.

I had an excellent experience staying here. Part of the reason why I picked this property was because I wanted a true neighborhood field in London and I didn’t want to be in the more touristy Westminster area.

When I arrived, I was able to pick up my keys from the office and walk about a block to my unit. The neighborhood is beautiful and it definitely showed me a different side of London. Also, upon arrival, they told me about discounts at a couple restaurants next-door, which actually had really good food.

Inside the unit everything was decorated very nice. There is plenty of space and it was nice to have a kitchen available. The bed was very comfortable and there were a lot of thoughtful touches around the apartment.

Whenever I come back, I will definitely stay here again.

This is a clean and spacious property in London that is centrally located and close to the Hammersmith tube station. But we are unlikely to visit again as the shower water pressure is ridiculously low. Even our kids, with much smaller body sizes, struggled to wash off the shampoo on their hair and soap from their body as the water was simply not strong enough. We complained multiple times but nothing happened and finally we got the message that this is just the way it is and there is nothing they could do. Sadly, we actually saw this same feedback from several other reviewers before we made the booking, but we decided to ignore it as we thought that this must have been resolved. But we were totally wrong! This was definitely not fun on a cold winter day! But, in all fairness, if you dont mind this, then the property is great. Great location with good connections to many key areas of interest.

arrived at Lamington apartments after just being robbed in Athens. The staff went out of there way to help us to get emergency money and the manger even shouting us lunch, never forget there kindness. The apartment was like a one bedroom flat with every thing you need in it.Very clean and in a good area only thing I could fault is no lift but staff will help you with your cases this will always be one of my favourite places thanks to all the staff

I'm delighted to share my experience at this hotel. The flight was enjoyable, and the well-stocked kitchen, complete with appropriate pots, pans, and silverware, made for a convenient stay. The bedroom, while decent in size, provided comfort, and the presence of a beautiful back garden with lights added a charming ambiance to the surroundings.

However, I encountered a communication hiccup regarding check-in. After booking, I discovered limited check-in hours due to the closure of the management office. Unfortunately, my late flight caused me to miss these hours. Although lockboxes were available for after-hours check-ins, the email containing this information arrived very late. Compounding the issue, I lacked Wi-Fi upon arrival, making it challenging to access the delayed email.

Despite this inconvenience, I eventually obtained the necessary details and had an overall positive experience during my stay. Improved communication protocols, especially for late arrivals, would undoubtedly enhance the guest experience.

Much nicer than staying in an Hotel. More room and the kitchen allows for at least breakfast at \"home\" before venturing out. Downstairs every morning to the coffee shop, just like the locals. With the Office nearby, it also gives confidence in renting and not taking a chance with an unknown air b&B or a private rental.

Nice place, bad shower pressure….

Very comfortable stay but the shower was awful in #4 of the 149 block, no pressure, a watering can over my head would have worked better. Didn’t have time to report or relocate but frankly, cleaners should spot this at the clean/turn from prior guest, as it just doesn’t work. Need to address this if they want to keep their 4+ star rating …otherwise a nice stay.

Great location for transport getting around London. Apartment was dated but good, facilities were great and the shops bus and tube stations were within easy walk (700m). Great to have laundry and cooking facilities. Would definitely stay again

would definitely visit again.

Great stay, amazing location close to tube, Apollo, shops, bars and restaurants. Really clean, safe and secure.

Easy check in, reception staff friendly and helpful. It was baking hot, so a fan (or air-con!) would be a great touch, but to be fair the weather has been scorching!

Great! Very spacious apartment, easy check in and check out, safe area, with a quick walk to the tube station that could take you anywhere! Nice restaurants, ages, and shopping at both ends of the street.

Clean but no emergency assistance available

We lost electrical power a few hours after checking in, and again the next morning starting at 5:30 a.m. A receptionist in a remote city was the emergency number contact, and she was useless. She gave me a second number to call, and that was also a receptionist, but he at least tried to find someone to help us. There also was a puddle of water in the kitchen when we checked in. When finally a repair person came to the apartment at 8:30 am. that morning, he discovered that the leak from the apartment above us was dripping into a ceiling light fixture which caused an electrical short and power to go off. In summary, Lamington Apartments lacked emergency off-hours assistance, as we found out. They did apologize for the issues, and credited us the day's rental charge and left us a bottle of wine, which was appreciated. So not all bad. The other difficulty we had were negotiating 2 flights of windy stairs which were a surprise discovery upon checking in.

Nice neighborhood within easy walking distance to dining, shopping and the trains. Apart from one night with rambunctious neighbors, very quiet ... great for sleeping!

The property is close to underground and shop sea and river. The narrow flights of stairs - 4 flights up to our room - was a major pain. The garbage stored at the front door was unappealing, There was no air con and the property is looking tired and in need of TLC - ditto the furniture. Functional but no more

Very good communication from property managers. Spotlessly clean rooms. Walkable access to shops and transport (7-10 mins). They tried very hard to make things work and we would without question stay there again. Hammersmith is just to the west of central London and has great access for buses and underground trains. Our only suggestion is they should make guests aware of keeping noise levels down after a certain time as this can be an issue with your neighbors, (ex: banging doors late at night). Maybe a sign should be in each apt. to this effect. The washer/dryer is a combination machine and does not work very well. However there is a launderette a few doors from Lamington office.

This location is quite and safe for stay. It can walkable to many tube line from Hammersmith station. All staffs are nice and helpful to response email or call if you have problem about equipment in apartment.

A good place to stay. Nice area, conveniently located. Lamington are great too, the office were on hand when needed and all asks were dealt with in a very timely manner. Our place was slightly 'tired' and could do with a few touch ups but would stay again

Homey Stay

We stayed 23 nights at this apartment. Good bedroom size and very comfortable beds. Bathroom a bit dated but water pressure is good for a decent refreshing shower. We used the kitchen to cook often. Hammersmith station is under 10 mims walk to get many places. King Street is very good for shopping and we like Eat Tokyo. Many thanks to Celine and Grahame for the ease of check in and check out.

Great Stay On Holiday

Our stay was excellent. We loved the property. It was clean and in very good condition. We really enjoyed staying in Hammersmith and Fulham. It was about an 8-10 minutes walk to the tube with lots of shopping and restaurant options a short distance away. We usually stay in hotels in London. This was our first time staying in an apartment and it was great for a family since our toddler needed to have her clothes cleaned and some meals prepared there. The reception was fantastic and I’d recommend this property.

Great place to stay

As usual the people at Lamington Apartments were friendly and helpful. Thecheck in and key collection was really easy and we were made to feel welcome straight away.
We had a great stay and the apartment was clean with new decor and everything you could want for an enjoyable stay. Really nice area to base yourself in london with easy access to everything and free street parking at weekends.
We have stayed before and will stay again. Many thanks to the staff for their brilliant service.
