The pools and 2 restaurants made it a very convenient stay. It’s close to grocery stores so we could get some snacks. The resort dated, but clean and comfortable! The fire alarm went off in our room at 7am the morning we were leaving, so that got us out of there early. I’m sure a battery change would fix that but it was slightly annoying. The cafe restaurant doesn’t include “sauces” with meals, that meant we got no tomato sauce (ketchup) or tartar sauce with our fish and chips if we didn’t pay for it when we ordered. We didn’t know we had to state the obvious and we weren’t asked if we wanted it when we ordered, so we didn’t get any. When I asked for both she gave me tartar, but said I’d have to go back to the front to pay for ketchup. That was a bit silly, but overall the kids loved the pools and we had a good stay. The food was good.

Being on the ground floor, I was constantly disturbed by loud obnoxious people walking around at all hours because there was no quiet hours. Found a few bugs in the room as well which I believe is due to the gap between the door and the outside. Staff was very friendly.

Staff were rude and offended. They gave me a solo teaveller a room right in front of the kids park. Perfect for a family not a solo traveller when i asked for a quieter spot .because of the kids running and screaming along the hallway ..kida r kids i get it but when a solo person books perhaps thats not the best room.. when i asked very politely for a quiter spot as i had an early flight..i really got attirude and she was quite rude. I wanted to ask for my money back . Not what i expect for $200. 109 toom wasnt cleaned well fridge dirty . Carpet stained . Romm 239 was better but still not cleaned well. I woukd not go back or recommend disappointing

I love staying at the colonial club and as a Ken‘s local do so quite often I was so disappointed in the food and beverage service. We stayed two nights. The breakfast staff were amazing. The night staff very poor English and understanding of menus drinks and service. It wasn’t the shortage of staff to French girls on the front showed appalling service. Speaking in their own language, rude There was no leadership tables were cleared not wiped. Very disappointing.

Last 2 stays and last night I noticed a few little baby cockroaches everywhere. Not sure if it's because of he weather change but I ant have them crawling around. Although the staff who checked us in was great and made the direction to our room very clear by pointing out which carpark was best and what block from thereour room was in. No one has made it so simple like that before out of all the times I've been there. He did great job

The good part: staff super friendly. The not so good part, no convenient store near by, things are expensive onsite. No complimentary cotton swab as a 4 star should, but charged me $3 for a small pack. Water is expensive too. Also room is quite old, a lot of small insects in the room.

Guests were asking other guests to buy them drinks or give them $10.00 so they could buy a drink.

This hotel was once the place to go to, now, sadly, its not a great place ti stay.

The property was very well-kept. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, arranging taxis for us and loaning us a luggage cart (\"trolley\"). and providing us a comfortable place to stay while our room was made ready. The room was comfortable, good mattress and pillows, very clean.

We only had one meal, at the poolside bar/grill. There was a wide variety of reasonably-priced menu items. The dinner menu also contained a good variety.

While we stayed only one night (between cruise and flight), it is clear that this property is a destination for many people. We saw many families with children enjoying the three(!) tropical pools, mini-golf, and pedal carts.

We were booked to return there on the 14th so we went and saw the desk and requested a downstairs room for our next stay the following week which they kindly did and locked it in straight away to ensure we got that room.

We were so excited to stay in a resort but we were left feeling disappointed. It's very run down, overgrown. WiFi connection wasn't great at all, Vodafone reception was also terrible. The small pools water was very murky , full of dead leaves and slimy when you got in. For a family resort two high chairs at the restaurant is not nearly enough. We joined many a family trying to wrangle a toddler on our lap and eat dinner with high chairs nowhere to be seen. Swim up bar definitely hasn't been operational in a very long time , it's covered in dirt and animal droppings, we were all excited for a swim up mocktail , so that was a let down. Photos on the website should be updated to reflect the condition better.

In saying all that, staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful. Food at the restaurant was nice. The big pools are good for swimming and the price we paid was definitely fitting.

When we arrived to check in, the service was really unpleasant, the lady kept interrupting us and rushed through everything, even though no one else was waiting. Then we discovered that our “beautiful view” from the bedroom was of a dark hallway full of trash and rusty tools, and the view from the living area was directly onto the walkway where everyone passes by, so people could see right into our room. We had to keep the curtains closed the entire time. The bathroom door was broken, the walls were paper-thin, and we were supposed to have a kitchenette but only got a microwave and a kettle. I was really disappointed, the room looked beautiful in the photos, but it was nothing like that in reality.

I stayed at this resort three times and was able to enjoy many of the features, including the great breakfast and dinner options onsite. The rooms are comfortable, and the pools look nice and suitable for families. It's not really walkable to the CBD but it's only a short Uber or bus ride away.,
