The staff were wonderful.
The beds are comfortable and the room functional.
The rooms unfortunately have bright lights outside the window, so it remains bright at night.
The provided coffee is absolutely awful (undrinkable!) so I recommend bringing your own. If you drink your coffee with milk, and prefer fresh milk, bring your own as the provided milk is in tiny UHT plastic cups.
I also endured a constant humming noise from the power box in the room I was in (214).

Location is central, very basic and good value for very basic amenities. However no hot water in the shower in our room, no toaster in the room and the bedroom had no power point for my wife’s CPAP machine. The staff were very helpful with providing an extension cord. Beds very uncomfortable. Great customer service and a Thai restaurant located at ground floor of hotel.

Luggage rack separate dining table area smart tv light bright clean room with ground floor direct access to pool secure parking area and plenty of staff on hand for any assistance
The in house restaurant is excellent and there are a small supermarket liquor shop and take away foods just a block away on the main road or easy flat walk along the esplanade to city centre
The friendly relaxed staff were the best feature of the hotel making for a pleasant stay

This is an older hotel. Close to the beach but in a low end neighborhood and a bit rough. Rooms are big and spacious but AC could only cool a small area. Bathroom floors are slippery if wet. Not really a budget hotel for the price but is a budget hotel.

The room was nice, and the ceiling fan was put to full use. The room had an accessible bathroom that was a “wet room” which was a little strange. Having to squeegee the floor was a little annoying, and the shower head had a mind of its own.

I liked the spacious room and the lovely outdoor pool. I liked how it was convenient to the waterfront, only 1 block away. The only slight drawback was the bed was two singles pushed together so the middle of it was uncomfortable.

A pleasant hotel in the northern part of Cairns. Decor is a bit dated but we had a clean and spacious room. The noise from next doors shower would suggest the walls are thin. The on-site restaurant Finn Finn serves authentic Thai food and is recommended.

Great, affordable hotel for travelers not wanting to break the bank with lodging. It’s fairly quiet (I know because I’m a light sleeper and has no problems). In fact the twin beds pulled together to make a king were quite comfortable. Odd that the room key is also the only way to turn on power to your entire room. So no charging anything or leaving the AC unit going while you’re out and about with key in hand. Didn’t partake of the Thai restaurant on property, but it sure looked popular. Great location if you don’t want to be in the middle of the CBD but want to walk there for restaurants, shopping, etc. (do walk the Promenade).

Budget hotel with comfy bed and nice shower

Stayed at the Hibiscus suit which was nicer than the Orchid since you get a sink, cookware and microwave if you need one. It was also brighter than the Orchid which has dark furniture. If you want a fancy hotel stay elsewhere, this is a budged hotel. The bed was very comfortable, I'm very picky and need a soft bed. The shower is big and spacious with a rain shower head. They have gated parking which was nice. The location is ok kind of far to walk downtown so we would park closer and then walk unless we just drove into downtown. House keeping didn't do much cleaning.

Great customer service, large clean room, really handy having the washers and dyers and airers on each level as we had washing to do. There is a toaster, cutlery, crockery all in the room, a nice touch to have a cold jug of water in the fridge ready. We have paid a lot more to stay in “nicer” hotels but we absolutely loved this one, I would absolutely stay here again!

8 day stay. Most of the staff were terrific but one was very rude to me twice and I wanted nothing further to do with him. The first room I had was on the ground floor and was very noisy with people walking past all the time. It also had a blocked drain and smelt musty and mouldy. I requested a change which the staff happily did and the 2nd room was much better - quieter, cleaner and brighter.

Great facility, around a 25 minute walk from the centre of Cairns down the esplanade. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was great, had shampoo and conditioner and fresh towels every day. There are 2 pools, laundry facilities and a carpark. On our last day we checked out early for a snorkelling tour. Staff held our luggage and there were showers available when we returned for us to freshen up before our flight

The property overall was a good place to sleep clean and had laundry machine that we could use.
It took coins but the front desk would exchange bills for coins easily. The wifi in our room was very spotty but worked on the rest of the property. They did oferr to move us but we declined. The water heater would go in and out of cold to hot over and over making showering difficult. Staff was friendly and helpful though to all our needs. They sent a service person to address issues.

We had a deluxe room but upon checking in was told that if you set the fire alarm off and dont turn it off within 30 seconds the fire brigade will show up costing the guest $1400. We was too scared to cook in the unit and too scared to spray deodorant as that also set it off along with steam from the bathroom, which did not have a fan which was awful in the Cairns humidity heat. The shower flooded and we had to lay towels on the edge so it would not overflow. Apart from these issues the staff were lovely and the location was central.

1. The broken kettle, took ages to replace
2. There was mold on thr ceilings
3. There was only 1 blanket for 2 bedrooms. This blanket took 2 days to replace by the staff
4. The beds were uneven.

Overall the photos online make the place look alot nicer and larger than it is, they are inaccurate. The value you get on this property is alot lower than what you pay. Its not worth the price.
