The staff here are fantastic! The saline pool was cooly refreshing as it was hot during our stay. The grounds are filled with greenery.
We stayed in Room 33, one of the single rooms with a shared bathroom. The afternoon sun made the room warm. The A/C unit was either high fan (cooling) or low fan (no cooling) making it difficult to efficiently use.
As a first time hostel stay, it was better than we expected. We intentionally selected a site not geared for high entertainment and are thankful for the quiet hours starting at 11pm.
P.S. The park across the street has a delicious restaurant. We brought back their cut fruit to store in the inroom fridge for breakfast.

Great stay of 5 days. We booked a and stayed in a private room with private bathroom and fridge. Quiet and tranquil. Comfortable beds, effective fan and great air conditioning. We used the shared kitchen at breakfast and dinner. We found that the young backpackers were a bit careless with cleanliness- esp. re washing dishes and utensils. Perhaps a posted guide re how to properly wash dishes would help. Friendly, helpful staff. Very helpful late checkin. Wonderful location on the beachfront Esplanade. Used their very helpful and effective booking service - eg for airport shuttle.

We stayed here for 1 night and booked a 2 bed room to be fit for starting a 2 night sailing tour with OZSail the next day which is located directly next to the hostel :-) The night was very silent we had to share our bathroom just with another double room. Late checkin was very comfortable!

Downside was the hostel is opposite a huge kids playground so during the day it was constant sound of kids screaming when I wasn't out exploring. Could do with lockers in the rooms.

Room condition was nice except there were many ants on shower room. Great walk to lagoon beside the coast. No staff at night, so no one could stop loud parties till midnight(rule was until 11pm).

It's a backpackers hostel geared up to cheap stays. Clean and acceptable with a comfy bed. Stayed in an en suite room so very upmarket. OK for a night unless you are a student on a tight budget which I am not!

Nice hostel with large clean rooms and it was really quiet when you were trying to sleep. The beds were comfy and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Only slight issue was the bathroom was a bit small and the aircon was a bit loud in the room.

Stayed in a double ensuite room for one night and found the room to be extremely spacious, clean with everything you need - fan and air con for those hot nights. Loved the quietness of the place at nice for a good nights sleep and being on the Esplanade, it is a short walk to the beach, restaurants, bars and shops. Would definitely stay here again.

The whole place was clean and well looked after. The staff were helpful and friendly. It is well situated close to the centre of town with shops and restaurants close by. It is well recognised by the local tourist attractions with pick up and drop off for transport options. It has good cooking facilities but the pots could do with new handles. This also creates a good social environment.

Das Backpacker liegt an einem zentralen Ort direkt an der Strandpromenade. Das Pool haben wir nicht benutzt hatte aber eine gute grösse. Leider war der Boden unsetes 2er-Zimmers dreckig. Das Bad habe ich in diesen 2 Tagen nie sauber angetroffen. Küche haben wir nicht benutzt. Das Wlan hat gut funktioniert. Für zwei Nächte war es okay.Preis-Leistung:eher teuer da icht sauber.
