At the start with booking, Mantra had requested our preference around bedroom layout preference and check in time. Both of my requests were met.
Check in was smooth and quick. The hotel parking was before reception so I'm guessing you have to go around the block to get back to the parking access (? I am uncertain). Lots of parking spaces in the mantra secure parking area.
We got an upgrade and the room was so clean and comfortable. Everything that we need and outlined by the hotel was provided.
Great location - we walked to CPAC and Rusty's market.

Our first room was disgusting got moved after viewing another 3 rooms, picked the best one out of the 3. The staff were very nice and made it clear it was out of their control and the apartments are mostly privately owned. The pool wasn't great missing tiles and grit on the bottom.

Liked the balcony and good waterfront view; especially liked the location - with easy walking distance to everything, and great restaurants close by. Amenities were good, staff lovely.
We had an adjoining room which was fantastic and suited us well.
Gym was small but good.
Everything was walkable to in the city, a great location.

Only downfall would have been the mould in the shower on the adjoining room + cracks in paint in bathroom.
Pool is a little tired.

Not a lot of parking so I'd recommend parking before 3pm to get a spot (otherwise you'll have to park on the street)

This property is in a great location to restaurants, night markets.
The pool needs some maintenance, the surface of the pool is coming off and is nasty on your feet. We felt that linen could be changed every 3 days, not five, as it’s very humid. Staff were great, room was clean & tidy.

The initial room smelled of cigarette and urine. The staff did agree to move me to another room. The second room was cleaner although furniture doors hanging of cupboard and then bed was pretty old and Un comfy. No topper. No information in the room about the facility either,

Very central to cafe's and shopping. Parking was a nightmare. Often had to pay for parking on the street. The room wasn't serviced in the 7 days we were there. You could get towels and toilet paper from reception but it would have been nice to have the room cleaned even once. There was a musty smell throughout the whole place.

The first room they gave me smelled of mildew something awful. It was too late to change so I just slept there. Woke up terribly congested. Pretty sure it was mold.

Second room was a little better. Still smelled musky. Sheets weren't clean.

The elevators in tower two had signs stuck over the buttons in various places saying \"please use other side.\" Just getting up and down was an adventure. I wouldn't stay here again, even though the staff was friendly and accommodating of my request. And the people next to me who were complaining about dirty sheets.

Reception took a refundable deposit on checkin but stuffed it up and deducted the money instead
5 days later I am still emailing to get the money refunded

Best Ocean view around for the $

Awesome location, right off the Esplanade! Front desk staff all went over and above expectations to help us! Room size was nice. No daily room service, but you could get all the extra towel and drinking water refills you wanted for free. Good wifi. Great value for the price.

The bath wall was a bit high and when stepping in there were no hand rails as i slipped when stepping in as the floor of the bath was very smooth. It was nicely appointed but I couldn't bring my mother as she would struggle to get into the shower.

Generously spacious, clean and well maintained this apartment offers a postcard view of the Cairns marina and several entry points giving our family easy access to all surrounding restaurants. Noise is an issue .with the rooms having a door you go into from the main lobby only to find 2 other doors one being your room and the other next door room,this causes a major catchment for noise and boy did I cop it with at least 3 kids next door banging and doing kid stuff for until well into the dark hours.
More for families in the Mantra not for a quiet retreat to unwind.
Otherwise cheap for the location.
Hotel is needing a makeover.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Parking is a premium inside and a nightmare out on the street due to location.

Stayed in a mantra hotel before it was lovely with great friendly staff who offered great assistance This mantra didn’t have as friendly staff and there was a lack of communication. Provided no information about the hotel and even the room had nothing. We contacted reception twice about the humidifier in our room with no response. Only good thing was that is was a great location.

It was quite noisy with doors slamming and very loud groups around the pool area. Also, there is one tiny towel rack in the bathroom so, even with only using one bath towel, it never dries. However, it is centrally located and an easy walk all around Cairns. The view from the balcony in the ocean room is truly stunning.

Disappointing that there is no housekeeping unless you stay 7 days plus and even then it's only done once and no towels given each day. Parking is shocking and had to wait after 2pm to check in. Others at reception had the same issue. Rooms are outdated and the hotels room style accomodation is very small and bathroom door is right in front of toilet seat. Door stop dangerous as you step into it when going to toilet

Parking is absolutely terrible at this motel.
We stayed in tower three was nice rooms very very small
Bathroom access good no bath to step into
Beds are lovely. But parking was the real problem.
Cost a lot of money to park in the street and having to go back and feed metre was a real problem as we had to risk a ticket as we went on a trip we had a family emergency at home so had to cut out the last night of our trip which was unfortunately costly to us as the night rate for accommodation these days is steep. Ineligible for a refund or credit.

this is a disappointment...paid for ocean view and double room. It is tiny, verandah so small chair has to sit sideways. there is NO guest amenities other than essentials on wall, there is NO china or cutlery and a had it fridge. There is no chair in the room even tho it has a desk and a low table for a bench for kettle and tea n coffee. the coat hangers are broken, fan in tiny bathroom broken and step into bath with a glass swinging screen.
all together only good thing was can walk to shops and boardwalk very easily. small amount of underground car parking, but other than that drive the sts.
