Centrally located- no frills
Hotel is as advertised, in need of renovation but we always had the pool to ourselves and apartment was very spacious.
So if you are on a budget and after a no frills place to stay in central Cairns I highly recommend.

Property is very tired. Pool dirty and bbq unusable. Furnishings old and cushions need a wash. Although area is a bit seedy the apartments are well situated to be close to everything. Staff were good.

Good Stay in Cairns
This place was pretty good. It was conveniently located near everything in Cairns. It was right accross the street from a grocery store which was helpful. There were lots of eateries around and about a 7 to 8 minute walk to the Esplanade lagoon and pier.
We liked that the place was very spacious. The room was a little old but not that bad. The bedroom was a little small and I get why other people were complaining about the door not opening all the way because of the bed, but it wasn't that big of a deal for us. The water pressure in the shower was excellent for hot water, but really poor for cold water. Again, not a big deal. The room had a washer and dryer which were convenient for us since we were on an extended vacation. The AC worked well which we liked since it can get really hot and humid in Cairns. The only real issue we had was the internet which kept dropping (maybe since we were on the 6th floor, the signal wasn't as strong). The room had a great balcony with a view to the mountains which was nice during the sunset times. Be warned, there can be a lot of noise because it's on a main street and the birds can be very loud but to us it wasn't that bad. We liked seeing all the birds lol
At the end of the day, we would definitely stay here again. The convenient central location plus the size of the apartment are enough for us to come back again.

The stay was generally good as the units are in a great convenient location . However the place is a bit dated , our room was so small we could close the bedroom door. The biggest issue was that our booking said daily room servicing but they did not clean the room . We complained many times and after 6 days they did a clean.

Totally adequate for a one night stay. Was great to have laundry facilities en suite. Located halfway between the train terminal and the marina worked out very well for us. Close to lots of good restaurant options. Suite itself doesn’t really have a boutique feel to it. Building is clean and the elevator is super fast.

I can see why some comments have been negative, I would like to mentioned my observations both good as well as give some constructive feedback. The apartment is not luxury as it advertises itself, it is a reasonable basic apartment. It is clearly dated and in need of an overall makeover to freshen it up generally. My apartment whilst I could see had been cleaned with fresh bed linen etc, lacked attention to detail ; there were quite a few crumbs over the sofa and the cushions strewn, there was quite a bit of dust on the bedside table and the bathroom looked like it had been partially (and slightly poorly) repainted but the paint splashes didn't particularly bother me but it did add to the sense of patching up and making do feel. The bath tub itself had some superficial cracks and had weird looking stains, some slight mould was present on the ceiling - I prefer a shower and stood on a towel. The sofa had clearly been there a while and was recovered in parts and wasn't too comfortable to sit on for a relaxing evening post busy day and the other chairs were in the style of outdoor/patio furnishings and were metal mainly with seat pads so again not overly comfortable to sit on when relaxing but was more than adequate for meals. The walls were scuffed and quite marked in places with a few squashed bug marks too. But that said, the apartment was very quiet, in a great location, spacious and had most things I could need and was opposite a good size supermarket.

The disco in the next block ( gilligans ) had people coming out at 330 am yelling and screaming for 15 to 30 minutes waking me up.

I booked an apartment, so had space to unpack after a camping trip and space to reorganize luggage. The kitchen allowed us to put a few supplies in the fridge. The apartment was close to shops etc and Cairns was an easy city to navigate.

Despite its convenient location to woolworths and cafes I qill not be staying or recommending this hotel again. The reception is set back off street entrance is dirty. Needs urgent updating/painting and repairs pool looked dirty.cracked floor tiles in bathroom entrance. Cooktop dirty. We had a member of public disturb patrons from 3am till 4am yelling and screaming swearing. This person had somehow gained access to inside of premises so security not great. The only thing positive I can say about the property was the friendly reception staff and the free undercover parking

The place was filthy with sticky bench top. There was hair of the previous tennant on the bath tob and opend groceries in the cupboard. The bath/shower was full of mold that was painted over with some kind of paint but still came through. For paying that much money i expected better! This is in my opinion a health hazard espevially with the current corona outbreak i cairns.

unit was very clean, bed comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. Our unit being on front street was a little noisy at times but complex itself very quite. It is walking distance to Museum, Aquarium, Markets and Marina, rail station and bus station. Only trouble we had was arranging pick up with tour guides kept thinking we were in Cairns not at the INN Cairns so it is handy to give address as well as name.

The Japanese lady at reception who checked me in was lovely. This was the best part as it was down hill from there. There was a used soap in the shower, the tub was all stained, there was a hissing noise coming from the power point, dirty ceiling and vents, the last guest left his feedback form on the kitchen bench advising there was a dirty blanket left from the stay before. I hope the form and the soap were the only things left by the cleaner.

It has a gorgeous undercover bbq area in the decked 1.3m deep pool. The pool really looks spectacular at night. Apartments have air-con, all your cooking needs, kitchen & cutley/crockery, pots & pans, fridge, microwave, stove top, washing machine, dryer, iron & board, pullout sofabed in the lounge, tv in lounge & also in the sepatate bedroom, balcony thats smoker friendly. I have stayed Inn Cairns many times due to its location (close to supermarket, bottle-o, pubs & restaurants, the lagoon, marina, tours & activities) right in the city centre. Its is reasonably priced. Its a quiet complex, staff are friendly & eager to help any way the can. Always clean & tidy. 10 out of 10

This was first time I had stayed at this property. I did want something more than just a Motel room. I was very pleased with what I found at Inn Cairns. A very spacious Apartment. All was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. Free parking is provided in the basement and is easy to get into and out of. Situated in Lake Street in CBD, opposite Woolworths Supermarket makes it very handy location. I will be back.
