Didn't order breakfast, room clean but needs to be refurbished. Ironing board had no padding hence needed to put towel under to allow clothes to iron properly. Cost $22 to park the car. Much better places in Cairns, probably won't stay again same price or below. Bed and pillows comfortable.

You walk into the foyer and believe that this is a 5 star hotel. But only the foyer is. The hallways leading to the rooms have threadbare carpet coming apart at the seams, with dirty walls and bad plaster patching, grimy room doors, badly in need of a new coat of paint. My 2 night stay on the 16th floor was in a dated room with almost see through curtains. Some of the lights above the beds worked...but not all. You also wouldn't expect single ply paper in the bathroom. My flight into Cairns saw me arrive at the hotel at 12. My room wasn't ready and I was told housekeeping would be alerted.. but it was another 90 minutes before my room was ready. Perhaps I booked the cheapest room in the hotel - I can't compare to other rooms, but having stayed at 5 star hotels in other places, this hotel definitely does not rate that high.

We had a fantastic stay at Pullman Cairns International and would absolutely recommend it. From check-in to check-out, the staff were incredibly courteous, welcoming, and professional. Housekeeping did an excellent job. You indicate when you would like your room cleaned.

The room itself was very spacious and well-appointed, with all the amenities you could possibly need, making it extremely comfortable for a longer stay.

The location is one of the hotel’s biggest highlights. It’s within walking distance to just about everything: grocery stores, the famous Night Markets, the marina wharf for excursions to Green Island or Fitzroy Island, and a wide variety of restaurants. If you’re staying in this area, you really don’t need a car.

However, if you’re planning day trips to places like Port Douglas or the Daintree Rainforest, renting a car is a good idea. There’s affordable parking nearby through Secure Parking (pay via app). We paid just $6 per day, and it’s only about a 6-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel also offers on-site parking for $22 per day for added convenience, and you only pay for the days you need, not the entire stay.

Overall, an excellent hotel with great service, a prime location, and comfortable rooms. We would definitely stay here again!

From arrival to departure we were very happy with our stay. We were a little early for check in but were happily accommodated and allowed to leave our hire car (about to be returned) at the front entrance while we unloaded and took our luggage up to our room.
We stayed in one of the Superior City/Mountain rooms on level 7 and had a great view over the newly refurbished pool area and beyond to the city and hills. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space, a small balcony and many nice touches throughout.
We enjoyed cocktails by the pool and happy hour at the bar during our stay - both great. The pool area was a lovely place to hang out (even though some of the new decking does not appear to be quite complete, this did not impact our use if the pool). The water temperature was perfect on a hot day - slightly refreshing when you first get in but perfect for cooling off, and the spa pool was nice and hot if you wanted to warm up.
The location is great, easily walkable to the lagoon, wharf area, a woolworths for essentials and many eating options. Rusty's Market for some great fruit selections was about a 10 min walk and the shopping centre just a little further.
All staff we encountered (including cleaning staff) were friendly and helpful and we were very happy with our choice (we had considered many options in Cairns). We would happily stay here again.

The staff were exceptional especially Manny and Michael Kemp. Manny went above and beyond in service, hospitality and kindness. He truly made our stay worth while.

The rooms were definitely 4 1/2 star, very clean, updated and modern with a classy design.

The food at breakfast was excellent! Tasty and delicious and had everything you could want, even for fussy eaters.

Pool area was lovely, great for kids and adults.

Definitely will be returning when next in cairns.

The previously arranged upgrade was not correctly showing in the hotel system which is disappointed. However the hotel had given a credit to use to complement their mistake. Nobody pick up phone calls after many attempts is another area to look into. Otherwise, it’s a convenient location to all shops.

The only downside was the pool area is being replaced so there’s no pool and I feel we should of been told this as we would of stayed somewhere else
I feel we should of been offered some sort of discount for not having a pool
We were told we could use other pools around the area and they would pay for an uber but it’s not always something you plan sometimes you just want to nip down for a swim for half hour so waiting around for an uber is not always convenient

I booked this hotel primarily for its advertised swimming pool. Unfortunately, after completing a non-refundable payment, I was informed that the pool was under maintenance. This crucial detail was not disclosed prior to booking. Upon raising the issue, the hotel updated their listing to reflect the pool’s unavailability and adjusted the price accordingly—actions that should have been taken beforehand.

Additionally, the room view did not match the descriptions provided, which was another letdown. Overall, the lack of upfront communication and the discrepancy between the advertised and actual amenities made for a disappointing stay. I hope the hotel improves its transparency to prevent similar experiences for future guests.

Loved our stay. Walking distance to great food, esplanade and easy to book tours etc. If staying recommend Heather's Private Transfers and Tours. She picked us up at the hotel and was our private guide for a trip to Paronella Park. .. stopping off at Milla Milla Falls for a swim. Wonderful time.

Disappointed that we went told the pool and spa weren’t available at the hotel, they gave you the option to go across to the hotel over the road or to the there other hotel to use there pool. I chose this hotel for the pool and spa. I would have book another one if I’d known so I didn’t have to walk somewhere else. No discount was offered for the inconvenience. Very poor of the hotel not to even tell you when you checked in either.

Beautifully presented hotel in a very convenient location to all Cairns has to offer. Very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms with great views from the balcony.Rooms well fitted with tea, coffee pod machine , hot chocolate , fridge etc. Great breakfast buffet, lots of different options to start your day off right. Extremely helpful staff, David in the lobby bar was very friendly and knew our order from day 1.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would happily go and stay again. Short drive from the airport approx $20 for a taxi.

As of the check-out date on April 18, the hotel pool was still unavailable. Guests had to use the pool at the casino hotel across the street, which required picking up a new room key card at that hotel's front desk. Also, guests had to bring their towels from the original hotel, which was inconvenient!

We recently stayed at the Pullman International Hotel and were quite disappointed to find that the swimming pool was under construction, something we were really looking forward to during our stay.
However, the room we stayed in was very nice and comfortable, which helped make up for the inconvenience. What truly stood out during our stay was the exceptional service we received from Georgia at the front reception. She was consistently helpful and welcoming every time we interacted with her. Pullman is very lucky to have someone like Georgia representing the hotel, she truly made a difference to our experience.

This was a great place to stay, and we have no complaints! Little known fact, the hotel was named after George Pullman, the railroad mogul. He lived in upstate NY in a town called Albion for years and learned his business skills there.

The hotel is lovely. Unfortuantely I was given a room that had a very strong mould smell. There was black mould on the ceiling. I was moved into a clean renovated room. When I tried to phone in the morning, to extend my stay reception did not pick up, so I decided to check out and moved on to a lovely hotel.
