We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel in Cairns and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of Cairns, yet still peaceful and quiet. Everything you need is within easy walking distance: the beach, restaurants, cafés, and shops are all just about 200 metres away, which made getting around effortless, especially as a family.

The hotel itself was exceptionally clean and very well maintained. From the rooms to the common areas, everything felt fresh, comfortable, and thoughtfully cared for. We also felt very safe throughout our stay, which is incredibly important when travelling with family.

What really sets this place apart, though, is the people. It’s family owned, and you can genuinely feel it in the way the owners and staff treat their guests. The hospitality was sincere, warm, and welcoming—not forced or scripted. They went out of their way to make us feel at home, always happy to help, give local tips, or simply have a friendly chat.

It was a fantastic family stay, and we created great memories here. If you’re looking for a clean, safe, centrally located hotel with heart and outstanding hospitality, this place is a gem. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cairns.

Stayed at this property with a 1 year old and the room was located on the top floor so had to climb 6 flights of stairs to go up or down. It was noisy as the sound echoed through the property so Friday and Saturday night was hard to sleep. The room was not clean to the point that we found contact lenses on the table, hair in the shower and our one year old was finding all sorts of gross stuff around the room. Positives were the price and size of the accomodation.

Very central to everything. Train and big shopping centre only 10 minute walk. Woollies 5 minute walk. Waterfront less than 5 minutes. Heaps of eateries there. Even though we had late checkin (after 5pm) easy to get our key and gate code. Apartment had separate bedroom. Ensuite good size with walk-in shower. Nice hot shower.Kitchen has microwave, kettle, small fridge and few dishes. No cooking elements which we knew before we stayed. Maria very helpful and friendly. Good accommodation at reasonable price. Only downside was the towels very thin. Would stay there again.

This property was perfect for our family. It was close enough to town, foreshore and shopping districts to be able to walk there with ease.
Kids loved the pool and the accommodation had everything we needed.
The hosts were friendly and helpful.

The bed and pillow covers didn't appear clean. The pillow had an odor because of past usage. The toilet did not have a toilet roll holder next to the WC and the roll had to be manually picked every time for a clean.

The reception staff were helpful though when we contacted them to inform of our late arrival.

Spacious room, great location right in heart of CBD. Walkable to esplanade, lagoon and to local Woolworths. About 15 mins from airport with taxi. Room had mini fridge with tea/coffee/milk and a microwave. Easy checkin and was able to leave to leave our luggage after check out before taking ferry to next destination. Great value for money and super friendly and helpful staff.

Location was ideal but the accommodation is very old. Fixtures missing inside the bathroom. Only enough PowerPoints for their electric items. The room had an old school box air conditioner that was noisey n then kicked into even noisier each time the compressor set in. But, the beds were really comfortable and the staff were very friendly. Do you get what you pay for? $140 a night? I’d probably not stay here again unless they did some upgrades.

Property badly needs a renovation. Leaky old taps, mold in the bathroom cupboard, tiles in the shower, stain mark on the flat sheets, sofa cover seems like it hasn't been washed in awhile, ceiling fan in the room not working. You can hear everyone passing by the room, paper thin walls. Microwave's coating is peeling, showing some rust. Mirror in the bathroom is rusty too, was very dirty I had to actually clean it to see myself in the mirror. Location is convenient, but there seems to be a lot of drunk people hanging around. A drunk man was harrassing us at the gate of the motel when we arrived, scary if you have kids with you. They have baggage storage, staff are nice. Pool seems dirty, didn't use it.

Won't return here again.

Staff were helpful in organising late check in as our flight didn’t get in til after reception had closed.
Unfortunately that’s as far as helpfulness went.
We didn’t have any hot water, I contacted the after hours number and spoke with manager whom said there was nothing she could do tonight to fix it so we would have to have cold showers.
Was too cold for kids to have a shower. I figured was only one night so would suck it up….

Went to put kids into bed there was long dark hair all though the beds, pulled my sheets back and they were soiled with what looked like old blood from a weeping wound. All the beds looked like they’d just been made and not had change of linen in who knows how long. The once white towels are stained and looked like they’d not been washed.
Absolutely disgusting.
We left straight away and drove to Townsville as there wasn’t anywhere else we could get into at 10pm at night. I contacted the after hours number as we were leaving to let them know, no answer. Left a message and nil return of call.

The whole apartment is in need of maintenance, the bathroom door hinge was barely hanging on, bathroom door knob was hanging off, black mould in air cons. I honestly don’t know how this is allowed to be running, AVOID at all cost.

Poor customer service and communication. Disappointing that a guest was asked to leave her keycard at reception because she did not have a credit card for the motel to hold the security bond. She had asked several times to be moved to the ground floor because of her knees after being giving her a room on the top floor and was not prioritised. She also found weed and needles stuffed in a pillow in the room which meant the room wasn't cleaned properly. Disgusting and dangerous. We will not be using your services again.

Maybe a revamp (retile and paint) would benefit and upgraded aircon would be nice but none of that is necessary - it’s very comfortable as is).
Extra chairs inside would be nice for bigger families like ours and maybe a list of close places to eat/takeaway?
The staff were lovely and approachable and the pool was well loved by the kids. Very comfortable stay ☺️

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and my partner and I were disappointed.

The air conditioner is no ordinary noise, whenever it starts to cool, the sound is like someone slamming against your door. At night, the sound is even more frightening.

Wifi is provided in public areas, but what is the definition of a public area? Swimming pool? Reception? I have this question because I don't get a wifi signal when I am in the pool.

The only advantage is that it is very close to the city, and it only takes 5 minutes to reach the CBD. And the Staff was nice.

We booked this property as it was listed as being two bedroom. There is no door between the rooms!!! So no privacy whatsoever.
They had workers there making a huge amount of noise with no warning. The water was turned off on me mid shower. I stood for 15mins with shampoo in my hair while my children had to go and ask the workers why there was no water. I never received an apology for that.
The photos are NOTHING like the property. So much is damaged or broken, taps leaking. The amount we paid for the room was ludicrous.

It was terrible from the start. Bed had a new mattress but had an old mattress protector with a hole at least 30 cms in the middle of the bed and the pillows when where yellow and old. We complained and they did replace both the protector and pillows. We had booked for 8 nights and managed to stay 5 out of the 8. We slept 3 out of the 5 nights due to guests partying all night until the sun came up. Shouting , laughing and fighting was just some of the issues we experienced. We confronted the manager and was told that she can not control her guests and there was nothing she could do. We told her that this was unacceptable and that we could no longer stay and this so called hotel with no security or compassion for their guests. We asked for a refund for the 3 remaining nights and was told that is not possible and would need to put it in writing. We sent an email and it has now been 3 weeks and no reply what so ever. If you want to be able to sleep at night then this is not the place to stay. Would never recommend this place to my worse enemy. Stay as far away from this place as possible Very Poor customer service and avoid staying in this dump..

The size of the rooms were excellent with 2 large spaces to relax. The rooms were every clean and quiet. The pool operating hour could be extented at night please just for 1 more hour to have a swim after dinner in your excellent new par and restaurant. A small curtain on top of the air-conditioning unit would be good as you can't shut the curtain all the way and the security light came in on the bottom floor but not to big of a deal. We loved owe stay and will come again thanks louise

I was on a budget when I booked this hotel and was worried that the room would be awful turns out my fears were not warranted as my family and I had a wonderful time staying here, kids loved the pool which is where we spent most of our time even in the pouring rain, the rooms themselves were nice but basic as you would expect in a budget hotel my only issues were the ceiling fan in the lounge room which was useless (could be fixed by adding a pedestal fan to the room) and the lack of power points to plug phones etc in to charge, there was only 1 spare outlet in the lounge room and none in the bedroom, the complex was very secure and although there was a threat of Cyclone we felt very safe, I would definitely recommend staying here for a budget traveller

I liked the location. I did not like the condition of the room. Beds poor. False advertising with the wifi. The condition of the room and the cost. I paid $180 for a room that I didn’t even sleep in because I was so disappointed of the quality and condition of the room. I paid an extra $20 more at Redges because I needed the wifi for my work and the quality of the room was clean and did not smell. I will never go back to this hotel.

The property was as described, in a great location (right by all the major larger hotels, easy walking distance to restaurants, night market, marina). It was outdated but everything was functional, reasonably clean and well worth it for the price. We were worried because past reviews have mentioned issues with the security gait but it’s just a standard gait-try it before the main door closes if you’re worried about it. We stayed in an apartment that had basic kitchen stuff, really everything you need. I’d definitely stay here again, perfectly comfortable accommodations-save your money for all the fun attractions Cairns has to offer!

Looking for a cheap night so shouldn't complain too much. Really is nothing more than a backpackers hostel. Two rooms aren't actual rooms (no doors) staff were backpackers working for board and had little knowledge of facilities. Iron boards were a mess and irons falling apart. If you need a cheap overnighter fine but if you're looking for a little more comfort pay a little more and look elsewhere.

We checked out two days early due to a lack of comfort from a range of factors. The air conditioning was very old and had only one setting - tornado. The room was very dark and lacked natural light and the central courtyard was very loud during the evening. Staff were friendly though and the location was very good.
