This apartment is large, has kitchen, lounge separate bedroom and bathroom. Cooking facilities include hotplate and microwave, full sized fridge. CLEAN, and comfortable place to stay two doors from the Cairns Night markets and popular cafes. Staff are so lovely Woolworths.

Hotel is dated. Toilet sometimes does not work. There is a sign in the bathroom that says the bathroom door has to be closed during shower or it will trigger the smoke alarm, and hotel guests will be charged. There is just one problem - there is no window nor ventilation in the bathroom. I felt like I could not breathe when I was showering. There are also many signs in the room that say we will be charged if we do not do this and that (which I found offensive), such as do the dishes and take out the trash (the small trash bin is 2 floors down.) The reception hours are very limited, 8 to 4 weekdays and 8 to noon weekends. Most tours we booked start at 7:30 am and end after 5, which made it hard to check in with the reception to sign paperwork as requested by the hotel.
On the bright side, the living room is good size and there is also a small dining table. We do appreciate having the washer and dryer in the unit.

Cute picturesque apartments with an Italian style theme. Great swimming pool and very close to all the dining options and activities in the CBD. Apartment was very clean and had everything I needed. Would happily stay again!

The apartment was older style but well maintained and comfortable. It is in a great position close to everything The manager and reception lady were very friendly and pleasant as well as helpful. I shall certainly be happy to stay there again if I have the opportunity.

Little gem of a stay.
What a little gem the apartment was! Close to the dock and the promenade, in the heart of where it was happening but a quiet oasis with it's own heated swimming pool. The apartment had everything we needed from the well stocked kitchen to the laundry area. 2 TV'S, one in the lounge and one in the bedroom. Bath as well as a shower. Little balcony to eat breakfast or just chill. Trevors on the front desk was so friendly and helpful. David had a new outfit every day!

Il Pallazzo is an apartment hotel located in the heart of Cairns. We walked to everything! The train station for our trip to Kuranda, Reef Terminal for our Great Barrier Reef trip are all less than 10minute walk from the apartment hotel. And the night market is next to the apartment hotel. This apartment is very quiet, low key, & it has a secured parking lot. Perfect for our 30th wedding anniversary!

This was an acceptable place to stay for a few days. It had a few shortcomings, and it was difficult to communicate with the management, but when they got the messages, they tried to fix the issues. When i arrived, the A/C did not seem to be cooloing off the room even though it was on the lowest setting. The light over the bathroom aink was out, so it was pretty dark in the bathroom, and the cleaning person had left a dirty washcloth from the previous occupant. I arrived after 4pm, so reception was closed (key in a lockbox), and the only way to communicate with management was a local telephone number, which i could not call with Whatsapp or my eSim card. I messaged the management through the Expedia app, and they did not reply. I had tour plans for the entire next day, leaving before reception opened and returning after they closed at 4pm. While they did not reply to my messages, when i returned to the room at the end of the day, the A/C seemed to be working better, there were new, clean wash cloths (old had been removed/replaced), and the bathroom light worked. I would have liked a message saying they were co.ing in my room to fix it, or acknowledgement of the problems and that they were going to fix them, but in the end, it all worked out. The only other issue with this property is no wifi in the actual apartments/rooms. There are televisions that could stream services, but no internet to do so, and no internet to do anything on my computer. Otherwise, it was a good room.

We stayed over the Easter weekend. So, we felt the no room service on public holidays with no mention of this when we were checking in frustrating. There was no refills of toiletries or sugar and te for example. The lift was only operating half of the time. The microwave overheated when using it and stopped working for the rest of the night. The fridge is old and is either too cold freezing the veg in the fridge or too warm and not freezing the ice. Overall the property is just really run down and needing some TLC.

Excellent location, practical apartments, nice pool and easy parking which you can reserve but most of all Margaret and her family are easy to deal with and thoughtfully kind. Two suggestions though, the beds are smallish and bouncy so when next they are updated try to get the ones which have minimal partner disturbance, and it would be good and easy to improve the frying pan quality and size. We will return, thanks.

We had a lovely 3 day stay. Overall it was great. Only some minor issues were that the dryer wasn't working properly. There was no air. The bathroom drain was clogged with hair and the dryer filter wasn't clean. Forgot to mention this to reception before we left.

On the plus side, the woman at the front desk was very helpful, the place was comfortable, the shower good, and everything in the kitchen worked well. And the location was great. On the negative side there is no WiFi in the room. Only in one of the public spaces. The air conditioning did not reach to the bedroom making for some uncomfortable sleeping. The location is amazing, right in the centre of Cairns so you are so conveniently placed for food, shops, the reef depot, pickup for activities booked, the esplanade etc. The room we had in the hotel was brilliant, so clean, modern, fresh with outside access to the pool, so we had a lovely stay. The reception was full of activity leaflets so there is plenty to choose from. Overall we were thrilled with our stay.

The name boutique is a little misleading. Decor is 90s resort but the rooms are large. It was clean but the bed was a bit basic and uncomfortable and the bathroom lights were way too white and bright. The pool is nice but is very noisy from mechanical units in the courtyard.
