We booked this property because it had a kitchen, the kitchen was not fully stocked, no frying pan and other essential missing pieces for cooking. We had to call to have a childlock taken off the microwave. We stayed in a lot of apartments on this trip and this one was the only one that was disappointing.

Stayed here with husband and teenage son, excellent having our own rooms and bathrooms, lounge was large and plenty of room to relax I , balcony was spacious and perfect for plane watching, afternoon drinks and relaxing at night time. Apartment was furnished tastefully, beds were comfortable, extremely clean when arrived and beds made and fresh towels daily, walkable distance to CBD, pool was cold in the afternoon as on eastern side but visited in winter, in the summer would be lovely. Overall the stay was perfect and the building being secure was reassuring

Overall, I was very happy with the property. It was very spacious and comfortable. The only issue was the the shower hose in the en-suite bathroom. There was a leak where the hose connected to the wall. It was a minor inconvenience and we had a two bathroom apartment, so we just used the other bathroom.

This property is well overpriced. There is no reception at the property, you need to go next door to check in and interact with staff. The pool and spa were freezing. Yes it wasnt summer when we went and its a tropical climate but other hotels have heated pools for their guests or at least a heated spa. You have to pay for the car park, $15 per night which is ridiculous considering the nightly rate. The car park is small and tight to park in. The sprinklers were packed with wet paper towel that had dried and gone mouldy which seemed like a fire risk. The toilet in the main bathroom ran for ages and sometimes didnt flush. We were advised we were too noisy on the balcony at 6pm on a friday night. Apparently there are elderly permanent residents in the building. Another resident advised you cant even talk or laugh loud without getting in trouble. The furniture was worn. The apartment was spacious and had a modern kitchen however the 'mountain view' was a car park. Dont recommend this hotel at all.

Great location. Lots of restaurants and shops close by. The room itself is spacious and well equipped. It would however benefit from an an update. The outdoor furniture and kitchen table are deteriorating, the colour scheme is a bit dated and the couch is stained. The room is located next to the garbage chute so every time you enter and exit it smells foul. That smell enters the kitchen on occasion too.

The apartment we rented was a very spacious 3 bedroom apartment. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We had 2 spacious decks a view to the water. It was luxurious at a very reasonable price. This is our second stay in Piermonde and I would highly recommend them. Lovely helpful reception staff. The check in process was very smooth. Just check about late check in if you are going to arrive late.

I have stayed at Piermonde Apartments at least 6 times in the past and have never had any complaints. This time, however, I had 2 complaints.
The first is that there was no shampoo or conditioner in the shampoo and conditioned dispensers. I had to use body wash in place of them. My second complaint is that the beds only had thin top sheets on them. There were no blankets or thicker covers to keep warm and feel comfortable. My kids had to sleep with a few towels on top of them in order to keep warm. I had to use towels and pillows from the other beds in the room in order to keep warm. It was a strange state of affairs and I felt that maybe someone had started to make the room ready and just didn't finish the job. I would stay at Piermonde again, but I would check the bedrooms and bathroom before relaxing.
The first is that there was no shampoo or conditioner in the shampoo and conditioned dispensers. I had to use body wash in place of them. My second complaint is that the beds only had thin top sheets on them. There were no blankets or thicker covers to keep warm and feel comfortable. My kids had to sleep with a few towels on top of them in order to keep warm. I had to use towels and pillows from the other beds in the room in order to keep warm. It was a strange state of affairs and I felt that maybe someone had started to make the room ready and just didn't finish the job. I would stay at Piermonde again, but I would check the bedrooms and bathroom before relaxing.

This is an apartment, not a hotel, in case anyone is confused. We stayed in a 2 bed/2 bath unit that was very nice, clean, roomy. There was a balcony from the living room area as well as from the master suite. There is an in room safe as well as kitchen and washer/dryer. Cleaning service was not available for our 2 night stay. Check in was peculiar as the front desk is only open from 11-4 per the gentleman that ended up helping us (the information at the bottom of Hotels.com Piermonde apt page said \"reception hours are 9 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday) . We arrived at 10 and had to grab someone's attention from the back office area. The room was not ready, but the gentleman took our luggage. We went to have breakfast and explore nearby. He called when the room was ready and our luggage was already in the room when we returned, so that was nice of him. Check out was easy, we left our keys in the dropbox; however, we had to clean the unit and take the trash out ourselves as per the instructions attached to the door of the unit. None of us have had that experience before, so that was strange. Location wise, it is about 1.5 blocks from the casino, across the street from a brewery, and very close to shopping. Restaurants are steps away. There is a grocery store about 5-10 minutes walking distance away.

We were pleased with the large size of the apartment- having 2 bathrooms was a great bonus- we didn’t have to share with the kids! A few small touches would have gone a long way. We booked a no services room so we we expected to get our own supplies, but a few more starters would have been nice. There were 2 kleenuxes in the box, one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and no napkins or paper towels. The couch was wrecked, the end sank to the floor. The washing machine didn’t get our clothes clean and the dryer worked after maintenance came and used plastic ties to affix the lint trap(we still seemed to have a large amount of lint on our clothes), and it made a scary grating sound randomly. My son and I went to use the spa by the pool at night, I turned on the jets and my son stuck his foot in the water in great anticipation (it was a chilly night)and leaped back- “its freezing!” When I asked the person I caught at the front desk (front desk is rarely staffed,have to go next door), she gave me some song and dance about how the spa is not actually heated and that people like to go in the cold spa with jets when it’s hot outside. Hmmmm. There were more odd aspects to this place, but overall it provided our family a comfy and pretty clean place to stay while in cairns, not really nice enough to want to hang out in outside of sleeping, eating breakfast and cleaning up for the next activity, but that worked for us. I’m fifty fifty on whether I would stay again....

This apartment hotel was perfect for our needs. It is right near Central Station so we were able to take the train in from the airport. It was within walking distance (depending on your definition of 'walking distance;' we like to walk) of Circular Quay, the botanical gardens and the opera house. There are plenty of restaurants very near by. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. There were a few things starting to show some wear and tear but nothing that detracted from our stay. We would stay here again.

We had a major issue though with the neighbouring unit which had a massive loud party late into the night with fighting out in the hall outside our door, and with no one at reception the only option would have been to call the cops, which we nearly did.
