The toilet was leaking and there was water everywhere in the bathroom. All the taps dripped constantly. The air out of the air conditioner smelt like mold.

We booked a two-bed room but were assigned a one-bed room; the front desk resolved this quickly. The room was clean but the facilities are dated. There was also confusion about breakfast being included. The location is convenient.

Staff very friendly, convenient central location. Property and room very tired and in need of some urgent attention. The bed was clean and comfortable. The room was spacious with lots of potential. A good size bath but again very tired. The bedroom has timber shutter blinds instead of curtains which doesn’t block out light, the walls not soundproof at all, hearing all street noises and the neighbouring rooms every move. The fridge broken and a towel left stuffed in it, a nail sticking up from the tiles where the rubber door stop used to be. I wouldn’t stay here again unless it was refurbished.

There are no warnings or advice on the booking platform that this accommodation is undergoing significant renovations to the pool area with temporary fencing and hi-vis and mess everywhere. It looked like an absolute dive and was not worth the money paid. The bathroom tap dripped the entire time, needing to shut every door to drown out the sound.

1. No phone. No way to talk to front desk from room.
2. Poor lighting. One small light for the entire room.
3. No dresser. Used suitcase in lieu of drawers.
4. Shutters closed, then opened slightly, so no privacy.
5. Bed was hard/uncomfortable. Felt like a box spring.
6. Commercial tile floor in bedroom.
7. Toilet water will hit your rear if you flush while sitting.
8. Hotel floors are split level - bags must be carried.
9. Thins walls. Can easily hear neighbors.
10. Bath handle did not work. Only shower.
11. Bathtub unusually high making it hard to get in and out.
12. Two night stand lights were too dim for reading.
13. No light/lamp on desk.
14. The TV was almost as small as my laptop screen.
15. TV channels very limited.
16. Nicely located to the Esplanade.
17. Hotel front desk staff very helpful and kind.

The motel is being refurbished so looks a little tired at the moment but it had a comfortable bed, excellent shower and Sarah from reception was friendly and efficient. Location is perfect too, within waling distance of everything we wanted to do.

Not what I expected. This was a 3 night stop in a 3 week itinerary with other stops only 1 or 2 nights. Therefore we expected a hotel with drycleaning. Drycleaning was listed as one of their amenities. They only had a selfservice washer/dryer .... not how I wanted to spend our day

Before I say anything the staff were all lovely BUT when you pay to stay in a place with a pool & parking you expect a pool & parking. Pool & carpark are under renovation so this should be disclosed prior to booking. There is no pool & very limited parking expect if you have an 4WD or SUV. Everything else was average. Cockroach in the bathroom. Cracked tub. No Netflix. One wall light for the entire unit so you can't see anything at night & the A/c just blew sub par room temp air. Wouldn't stay again for the price I paid

The room had lots of space, which was excellent for relaxing, and the bed was very comfortable. The room fan controls appeared to not be working - either on or off - and it was very loud, which wasn't great. The aircon was old and noisy, but did the trick.

Not a Wheelchair friendly hotel, Room was shocking NO Telephone in the room, bedroom tiles were stained in a few places looked like some chemical stains, Bathroom floor had small HOLES in the tiles, and the BATHTUB had CRACKS in numerous places where you need to stand to have a shower the bathtub had impressions of a a mat that might have been used in the past as well the bathtub had yellow stains because of the age of the tub, one of our WORST experences in a hotel

Property was OK overall. Lots of construction currently so dirty and noisy. People above us were moving furniture all night two nights in a row. I did not understand how they had the energy.

Very old place. Shower head was dead, couldn't shower without water splashing everywhere or without holding with one hand. Uncomfortable outdoor furniture used insiden. Pillow covers were mouldy. Unfortunately witnessed cockroaches walking around at night. Over priced for the super poor quality.

To be fair property was under construction. There was no ramp from reception to lifts. The place was clean but dated fittings that leaked or caused stains. Musty smelling room and the condiments looked old. But the bed was comfortable and the linen clean and fresh. Also, inexpensive, was a bonus.

The double room and bathroom had recently been refurbished. The room is quite compact, bathroom is a good size and nicely laid out. Room was very clean and bed super comfortable. However room wall was adjacent the public footpath on Lake st- so quite noisy. The pool and parking area were undergoing renovation, so really missed having a nice outside area to relax in. Walked across to the esplanade instead.
At $330 per night, really expected just a little more. Also, has already completed the in line check in but had to re - provide details. So what was the point?

Someone left a review saying the hotel was like a 1960's horror movie, I think that's being a bit harsh - it's more like a 1970's horror movie! The hotel is Ramada only by name but that was all, absolute bomb site as you arrive at check-in with the pool area under construction and maintenance. The room was bad with paper thin walls and could hear the kid crying in the room next door all night for two nights. Bathroom falling apart, in fact the entire room was falling apart. My last shower when I turned off the hot water, the tap just came off. Place very ordinary and a shame.

Don’t waste your money

The place is falling down, there is no pool as it’s getting renovated. Car park is cramped and hard to get in and out off. The under ground parking is used as a storage depot. The bed was 2 singles pushed together and very uncomfortable. The louvres in the room were broken. Construction noise and no mention on their website about the renovations.

This is within easy walking distance of plenty of shops, restaurants, and the coast. The room itself felt like it was cleaned using only a checklist without any supplemental discretion about whether the room was clean. It appears that they mop the floor with soapy water, but never do anything to rinse it off, and as such the residual soap does what soap is designed to do: attach to dirt. Without the aid of a subsequent washing with water the floor remains dirty and slightly sticky.

Overall, the hotel is looking tired and could do with an uplift. We were not made aware that the pool was out of service at booking neither in the run up of our arrival. But the worse part was being woken up by very loud construction equipment at 7:30am!!!
WiFi didn't work properly.

Disappointing for a Ramada property

Used towel in bathroom, no toilet paper on roll; very light intrusive outside lights; basic amenities; being refurbished but we were in very old part in drastic need of maintenance; gardens unkempt. Very limited onsite parking and no good if you have a large car; most of property only accessible via stairs.

The property is so run down, it's literally falling apart and noisy with all the work happening around the pool.
The room itself is old and have not been renovated since the 70s and smells like it as well. The issues I faced are quite comical, 2 out of the 4 lights weren't working so the room was quite dark, the tv had no antenna so the picture was cutting out all the time and the volume on the remote was the channel and the channel was the volume. The sink drain had no cover so I lost my razor blade in it and the water pressure was no more than a light trickle.
How expedia rated this rat hole as a \"7.4 & Good\" is beyond me, you should be embarrassed with yourself.
Luckily I only had an overnight business stay, I feel sorry for the tourist and honeymooners that are staying at this place.

Our room was neat and tidy with a comfortable bed.

24 hour reception was available, which was 1 reason we chose the property due to a past midnight arrival. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The Ramada is a dated accomodation currently undergoing renovations to their pool. It’s not fancy, however, for its price it was a good stay. The rooms have very minimal in them, but that is to expect for how cheap the stay was. The gym at the accomodation was very nice. They had quality equipment and a nice area inside. The fire alarm did go off at 4:30am on our first night, I’m not sure why, but I am assuming that’s not a regular occurrence. Overall, for its price, the stay was comfortable and the staff were so welcoming and lovely. I would definitely recommend the Ramada for anyone looking for a budget friendly accomodation.

The place unfortunately is a s**t hole. The hotel is very old and not up to a Ramada standard. Wooden blinds couldn’t keep much light out at all. Was greeted my 2 cockroaches in the bathroom. Room booked wasn’t available on check in so was downgraded (partially my fault due to a late reservation). The place needs to be gutted or demolished.
