I booked this place for 4 nights. Serious cleaning issues. I specifically asked for three days for cleaning the room but it was left dirty. Bedsheet was never changed during the stay. 2 times bins were not emptied and a night we returned from our whole day trip we realised no toilet paper.
Staff least bothered to ask about your stay experience. Not sure if i will ever come back to this place.

Biggest gripe is air-conditioning stopped during the night and couldn't reset.
Summer in Cairns without air-conditioning was a sweat bath and thus poor quality sleep.

Very clean older style accommodation that is perfect for an overnight stop or a couple of days. . Excellent free off street parking great for high clearance vehicles and 4WD’s. Easy walking distance to bars and restaurants. Very quiet and comfortable.

Old fashioned motel style that fits the budget

Friendly, helpful staff on reception and ability to access the room early (around Noon).
Good location with cafes nearby and the main city centre 3-4 blocks away - around 10min walk.
Good internet access (I value this).
Nice clean comfortable room with air con + fans
Onsite parking if needed.
On the whole a typical but good old fashioned motel style accommodation that is value compared with more recent hotels which charge unreasonable rates based on location rather than service.

One of the best affordable hotel in cairns, have stayed twice and you can’t go wrong. Quiet area, friendly staff and lots of privacy if you wanna have a guest over for a drink. Highly recommended

The front doors were a bit hard to lock (2 of them). In regards to privacy, when you open the curtains, people can see straight in, there's no real privacy, you either keep them open or closed.

I didn't like.
1. They took money from card when I said I was going to pay when I got their.
2. The room had a very dirty smelly blanket in the cupboard. I made the bed and put the blanket dirty side up on the end of the bed, so the cleaners could see it. The cleaners folded it up and left it on the bed. I rang motel number and got a lady who was very rude to me. They changed the blanket after 3 days.
3. Bath room very slippery no shower door and the water went from nice to scalding to cold. With soap and 2 shampoo's with no washes. I will not be saying there again.

Run away!!! First off, this is not a hotel but a motel. Noisy, dirty, and lacking after hour support. When we arrived an incapacitated man laid blocking the entrance.

No elevator, no 24 hr front office staff, the rooms are old and worn out and lack necessary amenities. There is no shower curtain or full glass door so water spews out during shower making the already disgusting room more disgusting. No mirror outside of the bathroom so one has to wait until every is done showering to use it as it fogs up. I don’t recall a bathroom door either.

The housekeeping service is terrible and filthy. They keep refilling the soap/shampoo/conditioner when not needed like a robot but completely ignore cleaning the room. The room remained dirty every day (Cairns is beach/forest day trip location). The rooms are also very tight in space. When a/c was switched to heat one day, the whole floor became wet from condensation.

All night long people (homeless) on the street keep yelling and screaming so one can’t sleep. There are streets on both sides of the motel is what I was told when I complained to front desk. I was told that there isn’t much they can do about it. They seemed to be well aware of all the issues I was mentioning.

It was the worst part of our vacation.

Really noisy, walls are paper thin, 630am, screamers isn't what you want when you're paying for the night.

The room was terrible. The area felt unsafe. The Queensland Police Service sticker on the back of the bathroom door reminding us to lock up and not walk around at night was not very comforting.
