The location was great - across from a mall to get anything you could want including groceries. It was walking distance to the esplanade pool, ocean pier, night market, etc. The hotel pool was refreshing after a day of activities, and the kitchen with a full sized fridge was wonderful. Having a washer and dryer made our 2 week stay so much easier as well.
We very much appreciated all the amenities in this clean, apartment style hotel.

Das Zimmer war sauber. Das Eichecken war unkompliziert, obwohl es nur über die Klingel am Eingang möglich war, bei später Anreise. Gute Lage. Parken in der Garage war auch kein Problem, allerdings war das Haus nicht voll belegt. Pool war gut.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mid City Luxury Suites. This accommodation is ideally positioned near Cairns Central Shopping mall where you can get essentials and enjoy easy access to Cairns cbd. What stood out was the practicality and self sufficiency of the room: full kitchen, laundry, balcony and bathroom. The underfloor parking was excellent too. Perfect for a longer stay. These rooms were probably in the 'luxury' category once but have clearly aged alot over time. A couple of other minor issues ro consider- no elevator, and no views of the waterfront. Overall these things did not affect my stay. It was a very good experience.

Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Larger suite than we expected. Quiet and safe area. staff were very friendly. easy walking access to Reef Terminal and Night Markets with tons of restaurants and shops. Will definitely stay there again on our next trip

Arriving on a late flight from Melbourne our initial response was how quiet the neighbourhood, and are so glad that we didn’t select accommodations on the Esplanade.
The apartment is over the road from the major shopping centre and Kuranda train station, a short walk to Rusty’s market and a range of restaurants. The standard of food was exceptional.
As we were on the second floor a lift would have been but sometimes you can’t have everything! We will be back.

Apartment interior is a bit dated and needs some on going repairs and upgrades and a good deep clean. Good features including washer and dryer, comfortable bed and couch.

In an excellent location central to town centre, Management very helpful, clean rooms but getting a little \"tired\" we did not have any kind of view from our balcony but that and no lift to help with getting luggage to room (3 floors) was the only negatives

Unfortunately I wasn't aware of the 2 flights of steps which isn't helpful when you have a baby and a pram. The airconditioners went from noisy to quiet all the time. The couch sunk and the mattress springs could be seen from the side of the bed. The fans and exhausts were filthy.

It was convenient because I don't drive it was lovely to walk across to do my shopping only when I had to bring shopping was a struggle with the flight of stairs. I might be luckly next time to ask for room on the first floor, otherwise the kitchenette, laundry facilities were what I wanted. Everything you need.

Spent one night here transiting between Green Island and Brisbane. Is everything you could ask for cheap accommodation. Rooms are clean and come with everything you could need for any length of stay. There is a kitchenette and washer and dryer in room. Because of the weather I couldn't get to the pool, but I assume it would be ok. The managers were both very friendly and very helpful. I can heartily say I would stay here again.

Everything you need so close to all the important things; McLeod, Sheridan, Lake, Spence and Grafton Streets all within walking distance. The apartment was clean and tidy, had everything we needed. Check in was a breeze and the onsite manager is extremely helpful and friendly. If you're not looking for super fancy luxury and just need a fantastic location, a useful, clean and comfortable apartment with great customer service than this is the place for you.

I stayed in apartment 218 it was over looking tge swimming pool so was at the back of the block which was nice and peaceful until around 11pm but then loud music could be heard for about 2 hours. I don't know if this was to do with the festival in Cairns or if it was from a pub or nightclub. I would stay here again apart from the loud music everything else was fine.

Great location in Cairns.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Decor is a little dated but well maintained and very clean and very comportable. Fantastic location - across the road from major shopping center, public transport (including Qld rail), numerous options for restaurants just around the corner and Cairns Esplanade only a short walk away.

Convenient opposite major shopping centre

The hotel is well positioned, directly opposite a major shopping complex including supermarket, about one block away from the railway station and about three blocks away from the CBD. It is within walking distance of the Esplanade and Cairns wharf area.
The apartment was spacious being of the older style: it has a bedroom, separate lounge dining kitchen open plan area, bathroom with laundry and a small balcony.
I would definitely stay again should the opportunity arise. The name of the hotel is a bit grandiose but probably fitted when it was first built. It was only low rise, a pleasing feature.

Close to everything. Comfy and clean although felt a bit dated. Excellent and professional staff. Althouh only 3 levels, with no elevator it made it very hard to get all my luggage plus my 3yo up the stairs and into the unit on my own.

Flexible staff and great location.

The room is actually a full featured flat with kitchen, dining area, sofa area and bedroom along with spacious bathroom. Even has a balcony with table and chairs.
Across the stretch for large mall and main train station and still within easy walking distance of ships and restaurants.
Best part, though, is the flexibility of the staff. Stayed 3 nights plus 4 nights with 1 night away in between. Since the room was not needed by anyone else, the staff let me keep some of my surplus gear in the room at no additional charge. Many other hotels would have charged at least a moderate fee for that service. I have now booked this hotel again for my third stay.

6pm check in considered afterhours arrival. Your communication is through a intercom system that only operates for 90 seconds when you use it you instantly go to hold which lasts about 70 seconds then you speak to operator who only gets half of your enquiery then you are cut off. So you call again and expiriance same difficulty but now another person answers your call and you must start all over again and yes you got it the system cuts out again so you must try call again. Anyhow after frustrating numerous attempts they finaly get their act together and provide information how you can get access to your room. Phfew, now youre in for even bigger supprise, there are no lifts and you must cart all your luaggage up stairs. Rooms very standard quality with very small conviniance room and inhouse service is very poor. No cleaning of shower, no vacum of floor, no moping, only exchange your towls. Carpark entrance doors keep braking down. Best described as FAULTY MID CITY LUXURY SUITES... only missing Bassil and Manuel.. try it and dont complain \"what you expect for the money\"... was reply from the managment. I would not recommend it.

Great apartment right in the cbd.

Enjoyed our stay which started extremely well with a friendly welcome by the manager.
She had no problem looking after our luggage while we returned a rental car.
We then received a phone call from her stating tha our room was available early.

The late check in was faultless and front desk service faultless. What completely got me was the 'luxury' bit in the description of the premises:- it is anything but!

we were there for one night only (we were catching the train the next morning)the room was very comfortable and clean.... only one disadvantage there was no wifi...nothing was too much trouble for the staff even though we arrived early to check-in...

Was very happy with my stay to Mid city. Management was very friendly and nothing was an issue for her. Housekeeping was to a good standard and apartment was very clean and tidy. Only issue was the washine machine had a slow leak (not a issue) but should be looked at. overall very pleased with the motel
