Our fully self-contained apartments feature all the comforts of home with full kitchen and laundry facilities, spacious living area, separate bedroom and ensuite bathroom.

The guy at check-in was great, secured parking under the building. You can walk to just about anywhere in 5 to 10 minutes to include the beach. Lots of markets and the mall. Just a block or two away. Would definitely stay here again. Very quiet.

Short stay in Cairns
Hotel is a taxi ride away from the airport and cost about 30 aud. Bit of a misunderstanding regards getting into the property, but quickly resolved. Apartment a good size for 2 people, although the overall condition was of a tired property in need of some TLC. Good laundry facilities. Host Warren was very helpful in organising a taxi for our return trip to the airport at 4.30am! Location of property very good, less than 10 minutes walk to the dock.

The location was great for the purpose of our trip. 5 min walk to the convention center. It also 10 min walk to the city center and waterfront area. The unit was clean. Management was great in accommodating and responding to our requests. Thank you Warren so much!

This property is well positioned. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although the cafe was closed on the weekend when we were there there was many eating options close by which the staff directed us to. It was a great place to stay and I recommend it to anyone going to Cairns

Pros: Nice big suite, all appliances as promised, really great location close to lots of shops and restaurants and a mall with two grocery stores and the train station and the convention center etc..., staff was nice and helpful
Cons: Some stickiness in out-of-the-way places like the tops of shelves, some dustiness elsewhere, cafe downstairs wasn't quite up and running yet (probably is now though), thin walls so if folks in the other rooms are being noisy you'll definitely hear it

Overall, stay was good. The accommodation is very well located. There were some issues with a room we were placed in on our first night - it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke - but when we told the owner about this the next morning he was responsive and immediately moved us into a new room, despite the accommodation being very busy. A member of the housekeeping team, Sarah, was especially helpful.

We felt fobbed off from the start , I don’t know if this was because we were having a Hotels.com free night ? But it should not matter. We were not offered any information about the room,WiFi etc. The room is very outdated for the price (television the size of a computer screen in an apartment?) We are glad we did not pay full price for this place and being local to the area we will not recommend this to friends . Location was the only plus.

We were quite pleased with this hotel. However, you need to inform them if you will be arriving late. Our flight was delayed and it was evident that the staff was waiting for us. The desk is only manned during business hours, but is available by phone for emergencies. The staff was helpful for directions and suggestions.
The room was sufficiently large for 2 people. The bathroom was huge with its own hot water heater. A washer and dryer were in the bathroom. The staff provided washing powder. The bedroom was not large with one closet and no dressers. The bed was comfortable.
The kitchen was functional with a microwave, cooktop, refrigerator, and freezer. Tea, coffee, sugar and salt/pepper were provided. Milk was in the frig for our tea.
The living room area was large and comfortable with an L shaped couch. Extra pillows and blankets were available.

I didn't need to use after hours services though I was assured they would be available when given a friendly check-in briefing. Facilities were all that were needed for comfortable stay. Freshly cooked loaf of bread, real milk, butter and spreads were a lovely welcoming touch. Clean, well supplied bathroom and laundry items.

No hot water for showers every night. Cupboard doors falling off hinges. Couches smelled gross. Very dated and shabby. Definitely not 'luxury' as written in large font on the side of the building. We were also supposed to have our room serviced once during our stay but it wasn't offered by housekeeping until 5pm the night before our departure.

I arrived after 10pm and was let in without issue. I did not see a staff person during my stay. It was easy to get in and out and very close to the esplanade. I was unable to work out how to access the free to air TV stations on the smart TV but otherwise good

Il Centro was one of the best places I have lodged in Cairns. The room was comfortable and the staff particularly helpful. After many disappointments regarding WiFi offers on our recent trips, that was perfect also.
The position is great, only a reasonably short walk to the wharfs, tourist boats .. even for us oldies. It is close to the Post Office and to all the CBD amenities., as well as the Conference Centre.
It is certain to be our next Cairns stopover!
