Door locks do not work, subject to police advise that property was unsafe to stay at, so we moved to another hotel at great expense. Property was old and dirty and did not comply with it's rating as a 4 star hotel. So far we have been unable to recover our payment and will soon have to take legal action against Expedia as Hotel will not make the refund.It has major aboriginal drunkenness and violence and we were advised by the manager that we could not go out at night etc Totally unsuitable to stay at.

We stayed here for 5 nights in total, very comfortable beds and size of the rooms were good, about 30 mini walk into cairns city centre or there was a bus stop right outside but we didn’t realise you need cash for the buses so we walk most days, there were bikes to hire so we did that one evening which was great, the guy on reception was very helpful and friendly even held our bags for us while we went away on a trip for the night. We loved having the pool and used it twice for pool days which was great, there were bbq around the pools so you could do bbq, overall our stay was great

This hotel suited our needs. It was clean, in a good location, had plenty of useful amenities, had a great pool and friendly staff. However, if you are looking for flash....this is not the place. It is very tired and probably needs an upgrade. If you are looking for a safe, basic place to stay with a BBQ area and pool then this place is okey. We would probably stay again if ever we are back in Cairns.

Well for starters I didn’t book my motel room my wife did as I was out at work, however seeing as though I don’t know cairns this motel is 2 km away from the main features (I had a bucks night to attend it was a very long walk), like the esplanade etc but there are fuel stations and shops close by.
They do have secure parking that can only be accessed by PIN code which is an awesome feature especially since I had only purchased a new car.
Dislikes:
1: I came home at 12 am from a bucks night went to the toilet had only quarter roll of toilet paper and no other rolls in the room and I didn’t want to wake the property owners at 12 am for toilet paper
2: Try and get a room on the top level as the bottom levels are noisey as
3: The parking bays need to be upgraded very little room to open doors etc
4: Air-conditioners need to be upgraded to split systems the room I had had a box air conditioner although it was remotely controlled.
5: Since the motel is on the main highway it is very noisy with traffic so if you’re a light sleeper like me then this motel isn’t for you.
6: The only other dislike I had was that the payment for the room came out of my bank account a week prior to staying there so I sort of locks you in even if you want to cancel and go somewhere else.

The floor was wet upon arrival, there was a plastic suction bath mat covering 4 broken tiles which looked like no one had cleaned in weeks! The doona cover was stained and damp. Upon pulling down the blankets there was what looked to be pubic hair, hair and/or facial hair between the sheets. I didn’t even stay or ask for money back as I was that disgusted and mortified, I also felt like the owner knew exactly why I was leaving as he rolled his eyes when I returned the keys! For $120 you expect a clean bed to stay in! Highly disappointed and won’t be recommending to anyone.

Located on busy Sheridan Street, there was a lot of passing traffic noise. The apartment was comfortable and clean, but the shower tap dripped and the floor of the shower recess needed deep cleaning to remove built-up stains.
The bed-side electric clock supplied had no supplied 9V battery, so that when it was turned off, the clock had to be reset.
Power points were not well located in the lounge room, so electronic devices had to be recharged either in the bathroom or using air conditioning power plugs.

The Oasis Inn is much the same as any motel in this category, a big plus is a landscaped pool area. A minus point is noise from the road as had to be expected, and from the air ( the motel is in the flightpath of Cairns airport) . Wi Fi in room is poor, outside ok !

This property was just what we needed for a family of five for an extended stay. The price was good considering how much other places charge for the extra child. The kitchen had everything we needed to eat most meals in with our children. The apartment was two bedroom and spacious. The furniture was older but when you have young kids you don’t want new or expensive stuff anyway. The property manager/owner was friendly and always helpful. Most of the other guests were families as well and quiet, unless you walked past them on the stairs or met at the pool you don’t know they are there.
The property is within walking distance of the esplanade, but it is a decent walk to the main lagoon area with kids, be prepared or drive and use the free parking areas.

Oasis inn has an excellent location, close to CBD , Cairns Hospital and the airport . Just walking distance to the quiet area of the Esplanade with pleasant walkways and children playground. Many shops not far away. The draw back is that the noise of the main road could be heard. The pool area always very quiet during our stay. The pool is crystal clear. The receptionist are nice and very helpful. Onsite parking is handy, sometime fully occupied by late in afternoon, however there are more parking outside the inn. We have 2 bedrooms, one room with handy 3 single beds and one with double bed. The building slightly outdated, however for the price it is very reasonable. The kitchen with freestanding stove is handy. The bathroom ceiling have some mould but the hot water always abundant. Four of us stayed 3 nights at the Oasis Inn. We did not spend much time there because we went exploring in the rainforest and reef. The time that we did spend sleeping and coming in and out, we felt safe and slept well. Value for money if you can sleep with with the fridge turning of and on all night, the shower pipes clanking, the noisy neighbors (off and on till the wee hours), the TRAFFIC noice, and to top it off the stone bush curlews that screamed most of the night! I was out of there by 5.30am with NO sleep.
