We have stayed here before, but this time it was not good. The room had only 1 towel, half a roll of toilet paper, no hair dryer (but the wal rack was there), and the A/C was subpar. There were no drinking cups however there was an ice bucket. :/ My husband described the 3 small pillows \"as flat as the Kansas praire.\" And when our pizza was delivered to the front desk instead of our room, no one called to tell us. Granted, the delivery driver was at fault in that too, but the front desk staff was there too. The room key actually says, \"Need Room Service? Dominos delivers.\" Dont be fooled.... they do not. The sheets were stained, but they were clean. The furniture was broken and dingy. Parking was fine. We will stay elsewhere next time, even if we do have to spend more.

Parking was easy, however there is a median so you need to be on the proper side of the street. Quite a bit away from everything but still a quick drive to downtown and cheaper option than those hotels. Beds were fine although what looks like a quilt is actually another thin top sheet. Original room AC was broken so we got moved no problem, however the second room had no TV in it.

Don't stay here, it is awful. I checked into a room for two nights and the bathroom sink was plugged up with cigarette ashes and smelled awful. Also the toilet seat was very loose, I couldn't sit on it. The tv remote did not work. I finally got it to work after many attempts, but then it would not turn off. The manager suggested I just unplug the tv!. I was able to meet the maid, who had cleaned the room earlier and she was aware of the plugged up sink and surprised that the manager put a guest in the room. These items were not fixed during my stay. Maids should have Drano on their carts and check tv remotes for weak batteries. The bed was ok, shower water was hot and ac worked ok. Rates are cheap, so don't expect anything good. Hot water and cups are provided in the morning for coffee, but any other food must be purchased at local stores. Location is on local bus route so it is easy to get around. I hope I never have to stay here again.

Parking and location are great, but the room was disgustingly dirty when we arrived (hair in the shower drain, mildew in the shower, dirty and ripped sheets). We requested clean sheets and a thorough cleaning to the room but only got the sheets. Staff was not at all helpful. We will not be back.

Great price and nice staff, this is my fourth stay. Every time there is some sort of issue though ,last time wasn't their fault, a local power outage.
Each time though there has been an excruciating noise from the elevator mechanical room, you're lucky if the HVAC works. A sheet was on the window which didn't do much for The highway signage light, the traffic and parking lot lights.
The mattress is very firm and I could feel springs or something and it was very uncomfortable. I didn't notice till the morning but the linens were all stained and I think I found some burn marks too. Furniture was falling apart and broken, looks like they were in, made it remodel and just quit.
I didn't bother saying anything because I'm always told they're all out of rooms even though they have a parking lot mostly empty
Well I was looking for a dirt cheap price. This is often a conversation for us, it's very convenient for me but not getting any rest and tossing and turning all night Kind of sucks.
If I am in a box I might give him a shot again, but the next time will probably be another property close by.

Arrived to being told they were overbooked and did not have the 2 rooms we reserved available then offered basically no solutions. After much conversation, were offered 1 room, never offered to \"walk\" us to another hotel nor provide a believable reason for why we were able to reserve if the rooms weren't actually avaliable and never notified of the issue until arrival. Manager seemed to not care whatsoever about the inconvenience. We are pretty sure they gave away our rooms to other guests and hoped we wouldn't show up so they could pocket double the money. The whole hotel smelled of \"smoke\". There was no hair dryer. No garbage can in the bathroom. Drawers kept rolling open on their own causing a tripping hazard. Stained bedding, box springs, and floors plus portion of ceiling in room clearly had previous or current water damage. Bathroom door was misaligned and wouldn't close. No hand towels and towels provided were poor quality with stains.
Overall terrible experience with no solutions offered, zero customer service.

The whole hotel had a musty smell. Very outdated and dirty!! Mattresses were stained, broken furniture. You could barely understand the staff and it was not disclosed at time of booking that you have to pay another $60 once you check in. Waited around for 20-30 min the next morning for someone to come get us checked out

There was mold on the curtain, the toilet seat was broke, there was hair, dirt and stains on the sheet. When brought to the attention of the front desk and asked to be either given a new room or a refund we were told there were no more rooms available and that we had checked in 2 hours ago and that they did not need to give us a refund. We informed him that we checked in took our things to the room and left to go eat we did not check the room out till we came back. We showed him pictures of all the issues and they said they would check it out. We are still waiting to see if we will be refunded.

Hello. I stayed at this hotel for ONE NIGHT and I will never be back again. When we entered the room the smoke smell was horrendous. What is the one thing guest do when entering the hotel. Check the beds. I checked the bed and the stains were terrible and the pillow cases looked as if they weren’t washed. The bath towels looked dingy. The towel holder, toilet paper holder were falling off the walls. The customer service was not great. We came back to the hotel and tried to enter our room and our key stopped working. Workers were nowhere to be found and took us calling 10 times for someone to show and get us a new key. I will not be returning to this hotel ever. I 0/10 recommend and pick one of the hotels next to it because it might actually be worth your money.

The quality was about what I expected for this price. Staff was friendly enough. But on my way to my room, near the rear stairwell, I observed a dead plant that seemingly hadn't watered in months. Which was a harbinger of things to come. The TV didn't function in the room. The fridge and A/C were so loud that I had to unplug them. And the bed linens smelled like cigarette smoke. Next time, I will try my luck elsewhere.

We stayed at the Red Roof Inn – McKnight Road for two nights but left after the first due to safety and cleanliness concerns. Our first room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The second room had missing smoke detectors, visible mold in the AC unit, and several maintenance issues (dirty walls/floors, damaged furniture, non-working TV).

We were offered another room but declined because, by that point, we were no longer confident in the property’s overall safety standards. We left early and booked another hotel. Disappointed that a refund for the unused night was denied despite the safety concerns.

I never expect a 5 star at red roof inn however i do expect for that price point for it to be a solid 2 low 3 star...it was a negative star. I stayed on a night that it was 8 degrees outside room had no heat they did give us a space heater room may got to 34 degrees. No smoke alarm in room while using a space heater but who needs one of those fire safty noise makers anyway. Woke up wanted a hot shower seen we wasnt given any shampoo so had to run dog to pee i would ask no problem there. They have me a shampoo went back to room and Surprise no hot water it wasn't even a little warm like it was 42 degrees if you were lucky but still warmer then our room. Just a bonus our tv also didn't work so we wtched our phone but that was just a bonus of how crappy that one night was.

This hotel is more ment for people who live at hotels ,smells horrible, rooms smell bad, my daughter wouldn’t even step foot in the shower I had to take her to her friends hotel to shower, ice machine is broken, no food at all , all the hook ups like there was food at one point of time in life, coffee machine but no cups. There’s a vending machine that’s about it. My daughter told me if we have to come back to Pittsburgh and I book a red roof in again she would rather stay in the car, I’ve always been to red roofs and they have been a decent quality hotel but not this time.

The room was dirty. There was hair EVERYWHERE in the bathroom. The shower curtain was visibly dirty. The tub drained extremely slowly, but the time I was done showering the water covered my feet. There was no actual blanket. When I called to the front desk, around 1230am, I was told they didn't have any extra. It took over an hour after turning up the heat to get the room to regester at 70*. The heater put off a smell and visible dust. There was no breakfast food. Only black coffee was offered, no cream or sugar.

When I checked in, the desk person said there was no tv even though the ad said the room had one. The bathroom mirror was broken in many places with shards of glass taped in place. The mirror itself was barely on the wall. The bed had what seemed to be blood stains next to the pillows and a different bodily fluid near the bottom of the bed. I checked out after twenty minutes and asked for a refund. He told me to reach out to hotels.com for that. I will say though that the man at the desk was kind and understanding and helpful.

The second one they tried to give me the bedding was undone when I went in with a soaking wet towel on the bed. Both had clearly not been cleaned. I left after that and booked a hotel elsewhere.

Here’s what was not okay: the towel bar in the bathroom fell off of the wall when I ised it to hang the hand towel. And the toilet didn’t flish without taking the tank lid off to manually lift the lever. Clerk at the desk in the morning did not believe us and took no notes and offered no apology for the state of the bathrom. Also, there was an ice bucket but no cups. Bring your own.

I read other people’s reviews and it said those issues will be fixed - well they weren’t. Whoever is writing they will make sure to get it right is lying!!!
I really wish I could get my money back. This was not worth it at all. Please give me the headquarters of red roof inn number so I can talk with them and send them the pictures. This is absolutely messed up to have people stay there and then not to give them a new room if they ask for it. DIRTIEST HOTEL EVER.

Had a 3 night stay and happy I only stayed one and primarily used for parking. Definitely use the Red Roof by the airport in Pittsburgh. First and last stay.

When we checked in, the toilet would not flush and we didn't have a trash bin. We had a mini fridge that never worked. We had a desk chair that was lopsided and very uncomfortable to sit in. The right side of curtains was torn and we didn't even report it. The TV cable should have a guide channel. The entire place is cheap, therefore the cost per night is low. Would not stay again unless nothing else available and not recommended to others seeking a cheap place in ross township,Pittsburgh, pa.

Check in went smooth and the lobby looked clean and inviting. Once we headed up to our room, we noticed the hall floors were very dirty. In our room, the mattresses were filthy, the bathroom door didn’t latch shut, the closet door didn’t latch shut and many of the drawers didn’t close properly. The room had an odor, especially the film over the mirror. The ac was also filthy.

This property was better than I expected. It is conveniently located and an easy $15-20 Uber ride any spot in DT Pittsburgh. Churia (sp) and the staff were very friendly and personable. They accommodated our requests and for $150ish per night when the Steelers had a home game was a fair price. In terms of the hotel itself, ya get what you pay for. Definite stains and not the most clean place but nothing that interfered with our weekend. If you're planning a weekend away with a lady friend and want to impress her, do not go here. If you have a gal that belongs to the streets, this is her spot. Were here to sleep and the place passed the bed bug check.

Honestly, this was disgustingly gross.
Towels were dirty, sheets dirty, and when I went down to ask for new ones, literally not one soul to be found? I always thought there was atleast 1 person overnight. Not 1.

The room was stained on the floor and walls.The sheets were stained with nail polish, there was holes in the thing blanket, no blackout curtain. There wasn’t even a smoke sector. When asked to change rooms was told no other rooms were available even though there were barely cars in the parking lot. Customer service was terrible when stating there wasn’t even a smoke detector got told that “we don’t smoke in rooms”. Smelt like weed and cigarettes in the room and hallway. Would not stay again

Immediately upon arrival we were not greeted or even just spoken to kindly. We booked this room months ago and they couldn’t originally find our booking and then we had to put a deposit down on top of what we already paid, which for this property is actually insane. Room is mediocre at best with an odd smell and weird holes patched up on several places in the wall. We have stayed at Red Roofs before and had a great experience, but from the moment we walked in, I could already tell that it was just going to be bad. Front desk was not helpful and was arguing with another guest while trying to check us in and also had an airpod in? I’m not sure the purpose of that, and I’m not trying to judge, but it was very off putting when that’s how the interaction starts. Between the room being just okay AT BEST and the way the staff was, I would not recommend staying here.

Shower held water in tub; dresser/night stand drawers broken; chair was also broken so did not try to sit on it; carpet in hallway dirty; outside sign was not on one of the nights making it difficult to locate entrance due to busy road. No one was at the front desk when I arrived and did not respond to buzzer. Could not get a receipt from the hotel as it was done via Expedia. Unfortunately I didn't see the tragedy of our room until very late at night. The bathroom was filthy, hairs everywhere, mildew and mold on the walls/ceiling. Fan does not work in there. Beds were not comfortable, and on a base that squeaked every little movement that was made. The power button on the remote didnt work, but somehow if you hit netflix it turned the tv on, but to turn it off, I had to get out of bed and unplug it. The mini fridge wasn't cold. The room however, was freezing and we couldn't get the air to stop running. Quite the disappointment.

The initial room had no chair in it, but the receptionist at the desk changed my room, and I had no further issues. I had a good computer chair, a comfortable bed, and quiet air conditioning. Plenty of space to store clothes too. I was particularly happy about the bathroom. The shower was well lit, had a good shower head, and the water stayed a consistent temperature. I also got a quiet room, away from any noisy washing machines, but still close to the elevator. The hotel is 6 miles from downtown Pittsburgh, so it's cheap and quiet. All told, I was very pleased by the hotel.

The property was clean, but run down and many things broken or not working. Tv was possessed, AC only half worked. Missing the refrigerator. Drawers missing. Shower spewed water on the ceiling. Only got soap, no conditioner. Only 2 towels had to get more. No bags for the ice buckets.

A little tricky to find, as it is right by a couple other hotels and the GPS might not pick it up well. Much of the parking is on a slope, and the flatter parking areas fill up quickly. Your are obstructed by turning left onto the property if you coming on McKnight road that direction, so you either have to drive a couple miles past it and then turn nack, or your GPS will take you on to some very narrow, windy, easily missed side streets in order to bring you to a point where you can turn left onto McKnight to get right by the hotel. It is clean and very nice price. Also, if you are a church person and there on a Sunday, there is a large evangelical church within a block, basically right on connected properties you can easily walk to.

Lousy motel

No room service in 3 days. Only 1 wash cloth. Shower curtain did not close so water all over floor causing slick wet floor. Loose toilet seat. No amenities, no guide channel on tv,unfriendly staff. Not worth the price. This place should shut down. Will not recommend to anyone.

Awful stains everywhere, including the hallways. Smelled like cigarettes & pets. Dressers & cabinets were broken, missing pieces. Cigarette burns in sheets. Stains on walls. Headboard was broken.

Definitely would not recommend. I would go out of my way to recommend someone stay elsewhere.

Rm 204 had no smoke detector (against the law), mirror, mini fridge, chair, black out curtain. Moved to Rm 208. 2 dogs on floor barked till 1 AM. Filthy bed years of dirt between mattress & headboard. Manager never called back.

Tv didn't work. Tried several times to get it to work. Asked for extra pillows. They refused. Smoke detector was ripped out of the ceiling.

Even though I booked a room 5 months in advance, I got a room facing the elevators listening to people come and go all night. In the bathroom, the ceiling fan cover was hanging loose and after I took a shower the tub didn’t drain. Also I had no cup for water in the bathroom.
