It was a great location for the places and things I needed access to. The staff was friendly, courteous, helpful, and a big shout out to La Lasalle Luna Cafe that was right there! Overall excellent accommodation for the trip to Chicago.

Location trumps limited amenities. No fridge or microwave. Boxy exterior elegant on the inside. Staff denied me a extra day I thought I had reserved. Charged over double for second night. If not for the overcharging I was very happy. 468$ is a lot for a limited budget.

The staff was amazing. The housekeepers stayed on top of replacing towels and making our beds. However, when I arrived, my bed sheets had stains on them. Hardly any sunlight shining into the room and the lamps provided the bare minimum of light. The outlets working were a hit or miss. Definitely needs updated. The restaurant however was delicious and not pricey at all.

Bathroom was extremely small. Pipes extruded from the walls. Electrical outlets attached to desk didn’t work. Had to unplug TV outlet to use coffee maker. Room used a window unit for a/c. Bed was very comfortable. Facility accommodation were outdated. Wouldn’t have chosen if Wyndham hadn’t beef attached to name. Lodging over priced. Planning another visit, won’t stay here.

Check in area looks like they were doing illegal activity, Pipes all over ceiling, filthy tub, window unit air conditioner, box heaters in the room, 2 full beds should have been 2 queen beds after they 2 queen beds waited onto we arrived to tell us they don’t have queen beds in their hotel at all, I walked check the room and exited the building they charged me for that night illegally

The cost of parking across street was $62.00. Most hotels give u parking pass if youre spending the night. The other lot was $35 but its a few blocks away. It coat us 80.00 to use the bike carriage to Soldier Field and they wanted anywhere from $600- $200 to get back so we walked. We are seniors so we struggled walking back. We won't be back to Chicago for concert anymore.

The hotel gets mixed reviews, but we had an excellent experience. The hotel and rooms are a bit dated in design. However, the paint was fresh on the walls, and the room was impeccably clean. Our room was quiet and we slept well. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, and coffee machine. The room itself was very spacious. The staff was welcoming and helpful with an early check in. The location is great within steps of the park, near a Trader Joe's, and with lots of restaurants nearby. Highly recommend this property if you are seeking something clean, comfortable, and well located.

The staff was helpful and friendly. I liked that there was two different restaurants you could eat at within the hotel (not super expensive). It’s close within walking distance of sightseeing, transportation and a ton of other local food places. The hotel rooms do need to updated. The carpets are old and stained. The rooms also do not come with a microwave or a mini fridge. The ac in our room only worked if it was on full blast. The room is nothing special but will do if your there for a few nights.

For travelers looking for a cheaper option near the Loop, it's difficult to beat. A half block off Michigan Avenue and the adjacent Grant Park, the hotel is older and no-frills (it even has window air-conditioners) but it is clean, quiet and comfortable, and the front desk is helpful. If all you're looking for is a shower and good night's sleep, and don't mind walking a few extra blocks to access downtown, it's a great deal.

It started with a cockroach in the sink when we first arrived. The television did not work appropriately so we were unable to hear it or turn it off. We were on the second floor and the people above us were extremely loud all night long the room was set up terribly so we were unable to plug things in the phone was not hooked up, so had to use our own phones to call the front desk. I will say that the staff was very lovely and accommodating when I complained.

Nice staff, helpfull. The rooms were clean but someting smelled funny wich got stuck in clothes. Think it might be some cleaningagent. Rather noizy room because of the train just outside the hotell. Otherwise the location is perfect! Close to the Milenial park, we walked to the riverwalk. Easy to take the red line up to Lincon Park/Lincon Zoo.
Next to the hotell is an excellent breakfastrestaurant.

This was a weird stay. The staff is wonderful. I had an issue with the television in the room and they responded immediately. They were great at check in, and anytime I had a question, they answered with a smile.

The location is also great. CVS and Planet Fitness only a block away, and the area is downtown and quickly accessible to anywhere you want to go by walking or taking the El. There is also a restaurant open for breakfast and lunch with decent food and reasonable prices connected to the hotel.

The issue is the room. For me traveling solo without my wife, it was barely acceptable. My wife would have demanded we leave. Furniture is old and beat up. Paint in the room is chipping. Horrible carpeting. I was afraid to look under the bed to see what I would find.

Still it was the cheapest hotel I could find during the weekend of the Puerto Rican parade. Would I stay there again if was the cheapest room I could find? Probably because of what I wrote in the first two paragraphs…if I was traveling solo and was not going to stay in the room much. But with my wife…no.

This is honestly the best location to do all the museum campus things. Very easily walkable.
Our room was quiet, comfortable, and very spacious! We appreciated the larger minifridge and microwave.
There was an odd smell in our room and in the hallways that continued to linger throughout our stay. Something like rust and wet paint.
There were 4 of us (2 kids) for 3 nights. We typically do not ask for new sheets and their policy was that they would not change them for our duration, however after only one night one of our kids dripped ice cream on our bed and wiped chocolate on theirs so we requested new sheets and extra towels (we only ever had 3). Housekeeping continued to make our bed with the dirty sheets and never gave us extra towels.
We came back for lunch and naps around lunchtime each day to find that housekeeping had not remade our rooms, which wasn't a big deal, but on one day housekeeping rushed us out of the room because it was their last room to clean before they could leave.
In all, it was a very convenient stay, but disappointed us in hospitality and responsiveness.

The hotel is within walking distance to many must-do locations in Chicago (Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium and The Bean). Lots of good good options near by as well.

The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean upon arrival. The bathroom fan was not working.

The main issue was the AC not working. There was not filter in the machine and it was too old/too small to properly cool the room. We had it set to 60 degrees and you wouldn't have known. Not sure if it was because of the floor we were on or what but that was the largest issue we had.

The rooms were large and roomy, and the bathrooms were spotless! The water pressure was very good and it had very hot hot water that did not run out, just the way I like it!

The room we had was very clean and was well cleaned when we were away. It was very small and didn't even have any chairs or a table. It two beds and a dresser. No mini fridge. The L train was very noisy and it ran 24/7. You could hear it from the room. No free public parking. You have to pay at one of the lots that are nearby.

Room felt dirty. Carpet made me have an allergic reaction. Bathrooms were tiny and cramped and had little fruit flies flying all over the shower. AC unit was finicky, either made room too hot or too cold. Bed was insanely uncomfortable. My spouse and I kept sinking towards the middle of the mattress and causing back pain for me throughout the night.

The good: The staff was incredible, friendly and helpful. The location can hardly be beat. The building felt very secure.

The bad: no fridge or microwave in the room. And the bathroom was so small that a larger person would have difficulty completing important bodily tasks. (The toilet is so close to the wall that it made wiping a little tricky for me, and average sized man.)

On the whole, we enjoyed our stay despite the lack of a few key amenities. The hotel is conveniently located to Grant Park, the Art Institute, the Field Museum, and tons of shopping and dining options.

We stayed at this hotel recently, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The AC was making loud noises throughout the stay, which made it difficult to relax and sleep properly. On top of that, the staff was rude and unhelpful when we raised our concerns. Overall, the service and stay did not meet our expectations at all. I would not recommend this place.

I had to move to three different rooms before I got one with hot water. The water was turned off the day I arrived and after it was turned back on it never got hot. I was not able to get a hot shower for the day I had to start working. For what I paid I was very disappointed in the rooms

For the location, the price is good and you get a decent place to stay. I recommend getting a suite so you have a fridge and microwave, but that all depends on how long you're staying and how much time you'll be spending in your room.

The one issue I had was the water pressure, but that's to be expected in a building this old and large.

The location within walking distance of the sight-seeing was great. Thought parking was included, but had to pay to park in lot right across from Hotel, which don’t get me wrong is great. Issue was it’s once you’re parked you stay for the fee $62 no in/out privileged. Tiny room, but was 1 night stay so no big deal. Otherwise like said, location was perfect.

The parking lot was conveniently located right across the street from the hotel entrance. We were there for a concert at Soldier Field so it was just under $63 to park for 24 hours. The staff at the front desk and security were all very nice. It is an old building but everything was/felt very clean. Our room was very spacious! Two full beds and a little "kitchenette" type area.. the bathroom was large also. It was perfect for what we needed - a place to sleep after the concert. We would definitely stay here again.
