Clean, easy access, loved feeding the raccoon's. Even had a possum come one night. Loved the private balcony. Draw back. Was the door going to the bedroom by the balcony was sticking so every time you opened it to go out made lots of noise and hard to close. Pool was great and clean. Would stay there again.

Room smelled bad looked like it had not been cleaned after the last guest, trash was still in the trash cans. Rooms need to be clean and updated. Mold was in the bathroom. Balcony was VERY nasty. Checked in at 11pm and couldn't wait to check out. But will say better then sleeping in the car in 80 degree weather.

Great hotel for the price. The only complaints I had was the toilet/shower room was small. The door open was literally up against the tub. The ice machine didn't have ice half the time. But the room was clean. The pool was clean. There was some wildlife out back. The balcony with the view of the river was so peaceful. The front desk people were AMAZING. Seriously the place was GREAT. Close to alot of stuff.

We have stayed here before and we love the location and we love being able to feed the raccoons lol . When we first got there our door wouldn't unlock due to dead battery to lock so went to the desk she put us in another room and it was the same way . So finally got put in room on 3rd floor after wanting our original 1st floor stay . Balcony wasn't very clean and didn't look like it had been in awhile and the ice maker on our floor didn't work and when room service came they took the trash and towels but didn't make the beds so wasn't a total bad stay but wasn't the best

Very quiet, great location ( not in all the chaos of piegon forge, but less than 15 min from it all ) food options close by, pool was great. Right on the river. Room was clean. We were greated by 5 friendly racoons and a cat on the backside of the balcony and to be honest for us was the best part of the stay! Our kids loved them! Beds were comfy! My only complaints were breakfast was not much some muffins and coffee and I would suggest bringing some extra pillows with you.

Bed bug bite from room 321 very painful on April 26,2026. Guy at desk was nice told me to contact hotel.com for refund when they called the girl at the desk refusing to credit because I didn't call that day. I was there because my mother had past and had service on that Sunday. NO time until Monday to call. Waiting to her from owner as I placed a call in to him this morning. I am sure hoping I didn't bring them home and that they sprayed that room. I did make a complaint to environmental health as well

I have stayed several times because I like the 2 bedrooms. But I stayed this time on April 26 with my family in rooms 320 and 321 and got bit by a bed bug. I informed the office and even took it down and showed it to him. The guy at the desk was really nice. He said since I had booked through hotels.com that I would have to call them to get my money bk. This was on Sunday morning. So it was Monday morning before I had a chance to call. When they called the girl at the desk was very rude and refused to credit it bk. I called today tuesday to speek with manager and was told not in.So I want be staying with them anymore. I also reported it to the inviromental health. Hopefully no one else gets bit. They are very painful bites.

check in was smooth but once we got in the room & started to unpack, my wife went to the bedroom & found 2 roaches crawling on the wall. She killed them then went to use the bathroom & found 2 also & killed them. Then went to the bathroom sink & counter & killed several more!!!! I went to the office & reported it. He moved us to another room. As soon as we opened the door, the smoke smell was very strong. Our son has a pacemaker & CAN NOT be exposed to nicotine smoke. Back to the office & reported it, and he moved us to a 3rd room. It looked ok so we settled in. But before my wife turned the light off, a roach ran across the bed. At this point she was angry, tried to find it but couldn't. She saw it a few minutes later behind the bed frame, but it wouldn't come all the way out. She made a picture of it. By this time she was furious & could not rest knowing it was behind the bed. She did not sleep all night.

There were roaches in the first room I was in. The bathroom sink was swimming in them and crawling up the walls. They moved me to another room, which was better, but nasty. There was poop all over the underneath of the toilet. I could not sleep worrying if it had bugs in it. But it was late and I didn't want to go somewhere else. I am a senior lady, and it was cold. Went to the office next morning and the lady was rude. Was going to heat up a cinnamon roll and the microwave was nasty. I requested a refund and because I stayed they would not give it to me. The positive: staff that we dealt with were friendly. I asked for extra towels and all he had were pool towels, though. We did not use the pool. Our river view balcony was not what it was hyped up to be; though the 8 or so raccoons we got to talk to was admittedly fun. The balcony left little to be desired; i would not sit in the chairs at all. Little table was worse.
Bed was hardish but comfortable. Seemed clean but i didn't want to investigate too hard. Floors were absolutely disgusting though. I would not recommend walking around barefoot. Shower had black mold, and something I can only describe as dried blood on the \"conserve water\" sign. Never turned on the air because they were gross; I was afraid to see what blew out of it.
Mini muffins and coffee in the lobby were it for the \"free breakfast\". How this hotel was rated an 8 on hotels.com is beyond me. We will not stay there again.

Unfortunately we were not told ahead of time that the elevators were broken and has been since the end of August. I know it's been broken that that long because another traveler told me. Also the room on the 3rd floor, with the rocking chairs, was closed because they had to put their cleaning cart in there. I stayed in the same room that I did about 6 months ago and I couldn't believe the difference in the room. The carpet was so nasty and stained, the chair at the desk had all the vinyl peeling off, the bathroom ceiling had lots of mold, the hanging card that talks about using towels twice was stuck up in the bathroom ceiling between tiles, there had to previously been a large dog because the door separating the rooms has large scratch marks and the pillows need replaced.
We did enjoy sitting outside watching the scenery and wildlife. Since I've stayed here previously I already knew to bring cleaner and rags to clean the chairs and table outside. I'm just really shocked with the difference in this motel in a short amount of time.
I really hope that measures are taken and not just the same response that I have read in previous reviews.
If I stay here again I will definitely ask to see the room first. I'm really hoping I see an improvement because I've been coming here for at least 15+years. It just takes management making sure certain things are getting done correctly.
