We did ask for a quiet room and were away from most street noise. Houskeeping was amazing and we felt well cared for. Tube is a 10 minute walk and loads of buses right at the corner. Lots of ethnic restaurants off the main street. Only concern was the safe in our room did not work - otherwise a very comfortable, affordable room

Eurotraveller Express was perfect for my family and I. They were able to accommodate us being on the first floor when we checked in and the rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable and it was overall a pleasant experience. There aren’t any amenities such as a continental breakfast or free tea/coffee, but there are lots of restaurants in the area and the it is super close to several bus lines. Overall, we had a great stay!

Everything was great, very centrally located with various bus stops walking distance. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Please note this hotel does not have A/C, only fans so it could get warm in late July & August. Room was very clean, my old recommendations would be:
1) Room needs a full size mirror
2) Beds should have a fitted sheet on the mattress instead of using a normal sheet as a fitted sheet.
3) Shower needs to be better cleaned in the corners to avoid black mold from growing.

The hotel was excellent as a stop-off for completing tasks in London, easy to find and access and good service from all involved.

My only complaint would be that there was clearly no sound-proofing in rooms that were claimed to be sound-proofed - I could clearly hear every detail of a TV show from a nearby room even up to 2am (not even a neighbour).

Otherwise, was excellent, within easy-reach of shops and transport.

Simple, modern rooms, clean and comfortable. Pleasant, polite and helpful staff. The hotel is a few yards down a side street off the Walworth Road, which is not the prettiest thoroughfare in London, but it is busy with pedestrians at all hours, and felt quite safe to me. It is about 5 mins walk from the tube and railway stations, as well as a million buses. Oxford Circus and the City are both less than 15 mins away. Elephant & Castle is unrecognisable from just a few years ago, and redevelopment continues apace. It offers an interesting blend of traditional and ultra modern London, with plenty of amenities minutes away from the hotel.

The sheets were not clean- looked like they made the bed after the previous guests without doing laundry. Mattresses were zipped up in bedbug bags and we didn’t find evidence of any. We arrived late and the neighborhood did not appear to be the safest. Staff/front desk was super great & friendly.

A nice clean hotel. Check in was very friendly and the room was OK. The whole place is a bit dated but didn't stop anything working.

I had two problems, noise and light. There is a restaurant under the hotel which had music and singing till midnight and the hotel is across from a police station so a few cars went out with their sirens on. The blind in the room didn't cover the top 6\" of the window and was slack around the sides so the room was far from dark.

We were originally booked in the Eurotraveller on Amelia Street as it said there was free parking. There was no parking available at all. The man on reception was very helpful and moved us to the Eurotraveller on the Old Kent Road as there was parking on site. Thought it was expensive at £25 per night but we had no choice but to pay the fee for 2 nights. Overall a nice comfortable hotel for the two nights we stayed.

Asked tor quiet room as interview at 8am following day. Got room 32. 2nd floor at the back. Very quiet.
Room dated, bathroom showing aigns of age. But for what i paid £79 double bed, telly, tea/coffee, fridge and own bathroom cant complain.

Not at all a nice experience.
Arrived to be told the proprietor wanted to take a 'Damage' deposit. This did not bode well, and was not expected. The rooms were shabby, smelly & furniture had sharp edges of metal frame around bed. Hotel unable to explain or offer better alternative. WE WALKED AWAY and stayed somewhere else that was fit for purpose.

This is very noisy hotel. The amount of novice coming from the corridor is insane! Constant door bumping, footsteps on the corridor.

This is a really basic Hotel, rooms are super worm and no air conditioning.

I would not say that the place was clean as well. Please clean this bed frame there is plenty of dirt there which is not hygienic to touch at all!

Provides a reasonable size room, with everything you need in a convenient location (5 minutes from Elephant and Castle tube). A lot of business people use this hotel when staying away from home given its location and price. Also couples on vacation. Surprisingly quiet given its location.

There were noisy people partying somewhere in the basement all the night. The room was very hot overnight despite the open window. It is too small to get the air fresh. No conditioning. Overall clean and tidy.

The room for the price was acceptable, the bed wasn't very comfortable but was ok.
The receptionist when we checked in appeared annoyed at us for disturbing him watching something, just about directed us to our room but no other information an no real greeting. The receptionist when we checked out was friendly but we had to wake him as he was fast asleep on the chair.
I wouldn't have felt safe in the area on my own.
It wasn't a terrible stay an served the purpose for a night, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to return.

I can't sleep because the under of hotel is a nightclub and they play music until 7 at morning.
The check in is very bad. The reception ask me 10£ for duvet.
They take 50£ for deposit as well as l book by Expedia.
Important matter was the room.
No place for sleep my daughter. I tell them l book for three persons , and he answered but it's double room. If you want change your room to family room for 150£ per night.
I don't recommend this hotel.

Fine hotel walking distance to Elephant & Castle

I booked this hotel because of the price and based on the reviews I wasn’t expecting much. And sure it isn’t anything swish but it is perfectly fine for the price. My room and washroom were both very clean, and it had all the facilities that I required. Desk staff were always courteous, as was the cleaner.

Mattress was on the firm side but I don’t mind that. Pillows could have been softer though. So based on what you are paying, I would give this 4 out of 5.

The hotel is about a 10 min walk from the Underground. There are buses that run between the Underground and the hotel. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Definitely recommend for a Zone 1 stay that is budget-friendly.

Dirty, rubbish and overpriced

The whole place is very dirty and everything look like its gonna fall back in any minute. I stayed there for 1 night and as soon as I enter the room I see dust everywhere and the room looks like it haven't been clean for the past weeks. There are dust and dirt on the bed sheet, towels and allover the fan. Secondly, the suspended ceiling used in the toilet is full of dust and not even installed properly. The local area is also a bit doggy at night time and not particularly close to the tube (15 mins walk).

However the worst of all would be the heavily overpriced room rates which cost me £90 for one night and all I get is a super dusty, dirty and crap \"hotel\" room.

I would not recommend this \"hotel\" thing to anyone.

This hotel is just off a main road a very short distance to the Elephant and Castle Shopping Complex and underground station. It is only a few minutes by bus or underground to get into more Central London. The hotel is always clean and the en suite rooms are comfortable and well appointed of moderate size. It is always very quiet staying there and the staff are good.

Entered hotel to be greeted by a guy who was sat texting and basically threw the key at you! Headed upstairs to my room which was in the attic space of the hotel. The room was falling apart and ridiculously hot. The staff had already left open all the windows to try and keep it cool but there was only a grotty old fan to move around the warm air. The shower was covered in scum and bin was broken.
In a rush to go out I headed out and arrived back around 2am. I then had to to wait outside for 20 mins to get let back into the hotel as they lock up at night (no warning of this!) and the guy behind the desk was asleepn! It took 20 mins of banging on the glass to wake him up as the hotel key reader outside wasn’t working either. Not a sign of an apology when I eventually got in.
Upon returning to my room I could very easily hear neighbouring rooms with the paper thin walls. Mixed with the heat, it’s safe to say I didn’t get much sleep.
The room was awful, staff even worse and I checked out a day early to go and actually stay in a much better hotel closer to Waterloo.
Would never go back.

You (just about) get what you pay for

Hotel was pretty easy to find. About 10-15mins from Kennington tube station, and similar distance from Elephant & Castle which is handy if you are visiting as a tourist. Unremarkable hotel between the main road and a residential area.

Room was pretty clean, tidy and warm. Plenty of teabags provided which was good! But the bed was uncomfortable - a thin mattress.

Unfortunately the the hotel is very poorly soundproofed, and even seemed to amplify noise. It was easy to hear other guests, and I wasn't a fan of a member of staff singing down the hallway at around midnight. Traffic noise (both people and vehicles) passing by was also loud, the windows are thin. If you are a light sleeper you may want to avoid.

Overall this place was passable and it is hard to be too critical when paying such a low price for central London. I would only stay again if all other options were unavailable and pay a little more for somewhere better.

The hotel is clean and the staff were helpful - but the real gem is the location. With 3 major bus lines and also two Underground Iines available at Elephant & Castle station, getting around London was so easy! The neighbourhood is in the middle of gentrifying, you might find a lot of construction when you are there, that was the only strike against.

Delightful stay at Eurotraveller Express Elephant

I really enjoyed my stay at Eurotraveller Hotel Express at Elephant and Castle in Walworth, London. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. The Elephant and Castle shopping center is close by. Plus, some groceries shops and fast food restaurants are open 24 hours! There are plenty of buses near by that go to Oxford Street, Picadilly Circus, Shepherd Bush/Westfield shopping center, and Hyde Park Corner/Harrods!

Quiet hotel with dreadful check-in

This is a very pleasant, clean hotel in close proximity to a lovely Chinese restaurant.

The check in is appalling with a request insisting they take a copy of photo passport or driving licence ID in order to check in, I have a verifiable long standing UK permanent homeowner address and have stayed in the hotel more than 10 times now.

I use London hotels 40 times a year and nobody else asks for this.

Hotel was ok but not for the hot days of summer!

The hotel was clean but my disappointment was on two levels. The summer was hot and there was no air conditioner. We were forced to open windows on the first floor that had no screens and opened on a courtyard. People were often out there so we had no privacy. We were forced to close the room when we left and it was hot and uncomfortable at night despite the fan. There was also loud construction next door that rocked the building a few times. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was because they had a variety of food stores nearby and they said they had mini refrigerators. Actually, they are coolers which means it is not a cold refrigerator, just a barely cool and useless appliance. When I travel I prefer to buy simple groceries like cereal and milk so I don't spend money on pricey meals. This should be changed on the hotel rooms amenities because it is a complete lie.
