lovely spacious room, however not maintained, we had to ask for tea and coffee top ups. bin not emptied during our 3nights. reception staff were mixed, but the pool and sauna won us over. great location for city but also good for a taste of local London

We really liked the view in our room and it was in a great location. However, we noticed that supplies like hand wash, tissue and body wash were not refilled and it was hard to reach anyone by phone all afternoon. I had to go to the front desk and they refilled the items right away. I enjoyed their morning breakfasts and friendly staff.

Clean room. Shower didn’t drain very well. Tried to use online check in but digital key couldn’t be accessed and staff seemed to have no idea about the online check in process. Upgraded to exec but didn’t receive complimentary water. Friendly staff, greatly kept hotel, room was great (much better than photos give away!). TV was rather slow. A 50/50 experience.

Rooms were pretty good, very slight bit of wear and tear around the edges, but clean and beds were comfy. Staff were all really helpful and welcoming, they have been trained to a high standard. The sauna and gym were a nice bonus, again, was pretty clean. Didn’t eat here so can’t provide feedback on that. Location is fairly decent, it’s a 5-10 min walk from Waterloo. Would stay again

I received a complementary bottle of wine. The staff was super sweet and helpful. The pool and spa were very clean and relaxing. This hotel is very central to public transportation and a walking distance to the London eye. I loved it and will stay here again.

We liked that we were very central - but yet there was a bit more peace about the location. The staff were helpful - and the view from the room was fabulous. My daughter enjoyed the gift bag she was given and that the hotel had a pool. Another bonus was that room service, had we ordered it was affordable and offered enough choice. Next time - we'll order in room service for sure. We hope to come back and make greater use of the spa facilities.

The hotel provides a bath towel and hand towel. No washcloth. Shower was partially functional and somewhat clean. Bed has a bottom sheet and duvet, no top sheet which is pretty gross at a hotel. Otherwise everything was fine.

All rooms have non-closing bathroom doors. Reception told me it was Health and Safety! There’s a two inch gap so you can carry on talking while you’re in there. An Allen key would undo the stopper. Don’t pay for breakfast. It can be a bun fight, very crowded, queues and cold beans on a small plate. Plenty of other options nearby. Pool also gets v busy. Is clean and staff are nice. Good location. Central.

I stayed at two different rooms, plumbing work in the shower rooms are extremely bad, shower hole leaking, the first room shower room’s drain was completely clogged, I changed for another room, the second room water was leaking badly to the floor of the living room with the shower room door completely closed, the plumbers of this hotel don’t know what they do or just do very lousy jobs. No early check in, or I have to pay extra for each hour of early check in.

Lovely staff, decent facilities, nice breakfast (though don’t get there after 8.30am as it’s rammed). Nice pool. Only real downside, hence the 3 star not 4 star, was the room - ours was very small, first floor “overlooking” a same level roof. Sound insulation very poor - conversations in the corridor and the TV in the next room were intrusive, though I’m not a great sleeper and I’m sure others would find it fine. Strange lighting in the room meant that the “night light” in the bathroom kept the bedroom a little too light all night. Interesting bathroom set up - no door, and the door of the toilet and shower didn’t actually close on either. Good location - handy for Westminster and the tube a couple of minutes away. A laudable “Green” push going on - sadly this meant that our telly wouldn’t work one night - nobody answering the phones (guest relations, concierge, reception) so a trudge down to reception with a 7 year old to get it sorted. Engineer was quick and helpful.

The room was clean; the staff was helpful. There were not many restaurants close to the hotel that did not involve walking through the sketchy train area. There was no consistency to the vouchers given for not having daily room cleaning (one of our group got 1 another 2. 1 was told that it could not be used for breakfast and another could).The halls are very dark and would be problematic for people with vision loss. The door in the bathroom would be difficult for older/physically challenged.

Free upgrade from double exec room to king exec room. Room and bathroom was a great size, with a great view. All staff encountered were very polite, friendly, and helpful. The room had bottled water, tea coffee etc. we opted out of housekeeping as only staying 2 nights, and were given a bottle of wine to say thank you. Would absolutely stay here again. Fab location.

This hotel is starting to feel really grimy. I’ve stayed a few times and often get upgraded- this time I didn’t and the room had a really strong mould smell coming from the bathroom and was generally quite dirty. The steam room was the same and I woke up feeling ill.

Our stay at Park Plaza London Waterloo was extremely disappointing.

At 1am, water was leaking through our bathroom ceiling, forcing a room move in the middle of the night with our five-year-old child. The replacement room was clearly not cleaned — chewing gum on the hard floor, dirty surfaces, fingerprints on mirrors, and amenities not refilled.

While the night staff were polite, the overall standards were unacceptable for a hotel of this level.

Most concerning has been the follow-up. After two months of chasing the hotel following their initial email confirming a refund of two nights plus £100 goodwill, they are now claiming they have no record of this agreement, leaving Expedia to intervene.

Poor maintenance, substandard housekeeping, and zero accountability. Save yourself the stress and book elsewhere.

I recently stayed at Park Plaza London Waterloo and unfortunately it wasn’t the experience I’d hoped for.

The room felt scruffy and very tired, with visible wear and tear that made it feel overdue a refresh. The bathroom in particular looked worn and dated, which really let the overall stay down.

Breakfast was chaotic and unpleasant — it genuinely felt like a refuge camp. It was overcrowded, disorganised, and the food was cold, which made for a very disappointing start to the day.

Check-in at reception also took an age. After travelling, the last thing you want is to stand around waiting for a long time just to get your room key.

The only real positive was the location, which is excellent and very convenient for getting around London. However, for the price paid, I expected far better. Sadly, I wouldn’t return or spend my hard-earned money here again.

I’ve stayed here twice. The first time I had insects in my bathroom, I noticed as I departed. I was offered an upgrade next time I came to the hotel.

My second visit I had a fantastic upgrade. The bad news is that hotel staff decided they needed to come into my room to look for pillows (??) which they didn’t find. Also on that trip the hotel gym had several very young children in it, they were accompanied by an adults but were ‘playing’ in some of the equipment. A massive safety issue for them.

The hotel itself is wonderful, the breakfast is great, the rooms are fantastic, but I have been disappointed in both of my trips.

Room was dirty under the sofa bed - caked in dust and litter. The hotel offer a ‘gift’ if you opt out of maid service every day, but this meant no maid service at all, so our bins were overflowing, we ran out of toilet roll twice and towels too. No heated towel rail or lamps. Breakfast was basic and pancakes were packet ones and being heated in their plastic! Very basic food, no honey etc. They ran out of bowls every morning and staff weren’t refreshing the stock of milk or food very quickly. Pool was FREEZING and children were shivering, again no towels available as they couldn’t keep up. It was ok for the location but that was it. We had a glass smash by one of our children on the night time and housekeeping was asked to fully clean the room as there were shards everywhere. We wet back up and there was still glass in the beds and on the carpet etc. They came back and changed the bedding but we let finding glass on the floor as they hadn’t hoovered it swept it up. Very poor!

Nice hotel and facilities. The only suggestion would be to relax in the checkin time. I travelled off peak (winter) and stayed for 3 nights but they made me wait until 3pm to check in. After an international flight, it would have been a nice customer service to allow me access to the room a little earlier.

Room was clean & well equipped, views incredible, the sun rise over the city was amazing.
Check-in was awfully slow, long queues even an hour after check in time.
Spa facilities and pool were limited & very busy, no bookings left via the app but we did ask & managed to squeeze in a quick swim with the boys.
Breakfast the next morning also very busy….a queue for breakfast but once in, it was fine. Good selection of food; hot and cold.
Ideally for a one night stop off in the city.

Booked a 2 night break to celebrate Valentines Day but not impressed.
Nobody could check in before 3pm so queues were huge for check in - we waited 35 minutes & there were at least 6 groups behind us & there were 4 lines of people waiting so some must have waited over an hour, Total shambles!

We booked a double room but we had 2 single beds (Happy Valentines!!!) & room was pretty scruffy. No door on toilet or bathroom despite clear evidence there was one & even found old clothes in the wardrobe from a fellow traveller!!!

On the plus side, the location is ideal (right opposite a tube & a short walk to Westminster Bridge). I get it's a relatively budget city centre hotel but not impressed at all.

The room as in good condition and all staff were good natured. They put a cake in the room on the day of arrival as it was my birthday which I think was a lovely touch.

We had booked the room for a family of four, but were only provided with two cups and when housekeeping replaced the tea bags, they didn’t replace the coffee pods or the milk sachets, so that meant we couldn’t have tea the following morning.

Another minor frustration was that housekeeping accidentally picked up all our swimming stuff (which was wrapped in a towel), and they were not able to find it again. Communication wasn’t great following us raising it and we did follow up a few times. It took the shine off a little that we now need to replace swimming costumes and goggles.

The executive rooms aren’t as big as the ones in the Victoria Park Plaza too, which meant things were a little more cramped than we were expecting.

It’s a decent hotel overall, and everyone is friendly and I feel they do try their best to help out when asked.

I got a room with no conditioner and later no shampoo because house keeping didn’t top up or check if they are empty. Stay there for 4 nights and only the last day they top up even on a daily basis I have ask to top up.

At first glance, the hotel was beautiful and modern. Our room had several issues:
1) our “upgraded” king suite was merely 2 twin beds put together where I found myself in the crack
2) our mini fridge did not work
3) the bathroom had no real door so all pooping had to occur in the lobby bathroom. My partner and I like to remain sexy in each others eyes
4) dropped off laundry which was promised back the next day, but after a day and a half, it never even was addressed
