This is a lovely hotel in a fantastic location. Clean and spacious rooms. Very large and comfortable beds with lovely big TV. Amazing shower and also a big bath.
We stayed in a room overlooking the atrium so had no natural light which was strange. The lighting in the room made it difficult to put your makeup on. The toiletries were empty near the bath and were not topped up. Could do with a plug for phone charger near the bed and plug for hairdryer near the dressing table. Minor details as overall was a lovely stay in a very comfortable room.

The location of the hotel is ideal for St Thomas' hospital.
Room housekeeping could have been better there was no hand soap in the bathroom for 2 days and dirty cups and glasses were not removed. The box that controlled the lighting didn't work on one side of the bed. These are small things but should have been checked.
Breakfast wasn't great, it was so busy that by the time you actually filled your plate it was barely warm enough to eat. £20 each for breakfast is a lot so found Wetherspoons a 10 min walk away which cost less than that for 2 people and more importantly it was hot.

Excellent hotel stay. Great value for the price. The location is perfect if you want a daily view of Big Ben and the London Eye. The Hop On Hop Off bus stop is a block away. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff extremely friendly. Loved the bowlers worn by the valet crew!

The staff was very helpful with suggestions and check in process. The rooms are a bit outdated, but clean. The location is perfect for a first time visit. Everything was very accessible in the area and we felt comfortable traveling back and forth with our young children. We did not have a sit down breakfast here. There are plenty of places around the area. We did grab and go from the illy cafe downstairs, which was good. Con: The wifi was not a password protected one so I did not use it.

The queue for breakfast was 20 minutes long. Not good enough for a 4 star hotel. The pool only took 10 people at a time and was therefore really difficult to book. I tried to book it the night before we arrived as it helps my chronic pain condition. The hotel wouldn’t allow this despite me telling them I had a medical condition and had booked the hotel because of the pool as it helps with pain. I had fully paid the hotel so I couldn’t cancel it or I would have. If you want to use the Executive lounge to get a breakfast that doesn’t involve a long queue and the chaos of moving along the buffet with hundreds of others you have to pay another large amount of money each! What a rip off as breakfast is already expensive.
The breakfast had really undercooked sausages and bacon. All the hot food was cold. The cold buffet selection was better. However the toasters I used didn’t work.
When I did get a slot in the pool the water was very cold. It’s supposed to be heated. No jacuzzi but a steam room and sauna. If you like kids dive bombing into you while the life guard just sits there doing nothing about it this is the pool for you. Needless to say I wasn’t impressed.
Outside - There’s a great Indian restaurant in the next street.
All in all the hotel is clean, it’s well enough maintained, many of the staff were helpful etc - but this place does not give a hoot about guests and does not advertise its rip off factors and terrible pool system.
I would NOT stay here again.

I’m extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. When I checked in, there was leftover food in the room that hadn’t been cleaned, and the bed was clearly dirty. The staff was not helpful when handling the situation — they moved me from a nice room on the 5th floor with a good view to a much worse room on the 2nd floor.

To make things worse, there were small flies in the room every day. It became exhausting to deal with, and I eventually gave up asking for it to be cleaned properly.

It’s truly unacceptable for a 4-star hotel to have the quality of a 1-star. I would not recommend staying here.

Was very disappointed with the requirement to book a 30 min time slot to use the pool. The pool was the reason we booked this hotel and wasn’t able to use as we did not realize we had to pre-book use of the pool. Once we realized the requirement all time slots were completely booked for the duration of our stay.

It’s an okey hotel. The staff is friendly, it’s a clean hotel. Biggest disappointment was the housekeeping, it is horrible to non-existent, literally all was done is straightening of the beds and taking out the trash. The towels not changed, nothing else is cleaned. Otherwise, it’s perfectly located, the Big Ben is just 3 minutes walk, so it’s an okey stay.

Reasonable hotel with a good location. It was clean, staff was friendly and property was in good condition however pick-up rides for Uber/Taxis are not the best because there is always a car that's double-parked/on top of the walking path-sidewalk and no vehicle can go in or out without problems. Ubers especially can't ever find the location. The parking attendant don't help to rush the drivers who are illegally parked. Otherwise, it is an above average American type of hotel; don't expect to feel like your in London once you are inside but it's a good place to stay. We booked this hotel because it had a pool and for my 7 day stay, I haven't yet visited the pool once because they are always overbooked (I've called down to Guest service and they always say there is no availability) which is crazy. You don't think the pool would be 24/7 operations but they close at a specific time, with the money you are paying, you would expect the pool to be open and available. Also, after Day 1 of your stay, the bottled water for drinking is not free, you have to call downstairs for basic things like robes. I'll say that the check-out process was very simple though (we just had to drop our keys off). Room service food was nice however if I order 1 bottle of water, it was 5 pounds local currency and another 5 pounds for a service charge which is ridiculous; when asked why, they said every room service order has a mandatory 12% charge to it. I hope the 12% charge goes to the staff.

Will start with some room oddities and annoyances:

- half the plugs in the room did not fit our UK adapters, which included the one in the bathroom and both behind both nightstands, where we would charge our phones.
- Ridiculous, comically small garbage cans, particularly in the bathroom.
- no drawers to put clothes away in. Only 1 closet. Biggest annoyance
- you have to book the pool in advance. 30 minute time slots

Positives:

- Great location, 10 minute walk to Waterloo station and the Eye
- Good bathroom. Nice comfy tub and great water pressure in the shower
- Comfortable beds
- Good in-hotel restaurants. Joel being higher end dining (we went, it was good) and ICHI, a sushi restaurant (we did not go). The hotel lounge Primo was fabulous for drinks, munchies and people watching
- Natalia in the Joel restaurant and Maleeha and Hanan in the lounge provided us wonderful 5 star service
- Rooms service was good quality food and delivered fairly fast. One of the best clubhouse sandwiches I’ve ever had. Good pizza for kids
- If we needed anything extra brought to our room (TP, towels), it was there within 10 minutes of calling front desk each time

Would definitely recommend as a nice hotel with good amenities and a superior location

The biggest issue we had was the cost of the room and the actual worth of said room. We had room 1414, was supposed to be panoramic views of the city. Instead, we got to look into the adjacent building and all the apartments or rooms that people occupied. there was a major privacy concern, and we kept the blinds closed most of the time. Mainly because we knew if we could see them naked then they could definitely see us. aside from this the cleaning was sometimes good sometimes bad, very inconsistent. the balcony wasn't truly a balcony had 3 walls on it and sat back so no view at all but that giant white building. An, our two rooms had large floor to ceiling windows that looked into one another, so felt more like redlight district than anything else... at a cost well over 3k US dollars id stay somewhere else or don't pay for the 2 room panoramic views of 1414

Very friendly staff, a young man helped to store our bags as we were very early for check in. He was there in our return and dealt with us in a very welcoming manner. Check in was easy , all the staff were helpful and polite. We had booked a twin room but on arrival it was configured as a double. With in minutes this was rectified by friendly staff. We had gone to a concert in the evening but had not tea bags left or milk. We requested more and before we had chance to take off our coats in the room , a member of staff brought plentiful supply of all provision. The staff could not have been more helpful. We loved our room and the large bathroom , it was clean , comfortable and I will definitely return without hesitation

If you opt out cleaning every day, make sure you request towels every day as if you dont ask they wont do and whats worse they dont advise this at checkin
The rooms on the left side dont have natural light at all. Rooms are completely dark and depressing. Even lighting like internal lamps etc not enough to simply put make up on.
Mattresses and pillows are very uncomfortable
Check shower gels as they dont refill...
They actually dont refil anything sadly and if you ask for simple fork or shower gel to be delivered to room, get ready to wait at least 40 min...
I have done a few mistakes as we simply didnt know, we opted to cleaning once in 3 days to simply be eco but poor communication from staff made the stay frustrating. Would i stay again? Probably not

Great location, very close to Waterloo and transport links. We didn’t use the pool or spa but will definitely return to do so!

Every time we come to London (4th-5th time here) we stay here at Park Plaza. Always top noch and star rating. Really great place to stay, i unfortunately have to lower the star rating for 2 reasons. One day our room was very poorly cleaned and restocked with coffee and amenities, rubbish cans not lined, etc. The last thing is the greeting from the manager, evey time we have come we usually got a good bottle of wine and a fruit bowl. This time not so. Go a small box of chocolates and a package of dried fruit. Disappointed as a returning customer. Additionally, they yet again changed thier computer system since the last time we were here and of course no pruor customer records were kept. Which is a huge negative as they have zero way if knowing whonis a returning customer and who is not. Therfore this dramatically lowers customer service to us dedicated, returning customers even thou it's every 2 or so years we visit London. Still a good place to stay, down from great. Hopefully thigs go.back to the level.of swevice we are use to when we stay here.

Quite a wait to check in. The room didn’t have robes and we could have used them to go to the pool as the changing rooms were shut. There were only 2 dry communal rooms available and they seemed angry when we locked the door! Just got there in time to avoid massive queues for breakfast which was yummy. Unfortunately, the room had an internal window which only looked out at a brick wall opposite. Thankfully we didn’t need to be in it for long. The charging usb points on the bedside tables did not work and the hairdryer kept shutting off. The beds were very comfy though.

Pros: The hotel was a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. It was also close to two tube stations.
Cons: We had issues a couple days getting our room cleaned. We had set up daily cleaning for our week’s stay, but came back a couple times after a day of touring and no one had been there. Also the rooms are very dark with minimal lighting. The other big issue is the lack of storage space. When we stay a week in a hotel, we like to unpack and not have to live out of our suitcases. There were no drawers or wardrobe spaces in the bedroom. Only storage space was two small drawers in the closet.
