We paid for an upgrade on arrival and wer epromised a room with a view, we arrived at our room on the 11th floor overlooking the bridge to find another party already inside. We went back to reception and were given a room on the 4th floor without a view, which we were told was for the time being, but as we had plans we couldn't hang around to move rooms that evening. We spoke to staff about this twice during our stay and were told they were leaving a note for management, and have emailed with no response. Hotel is in a good location and reasonable but very disappointed that we paid for an upgrade and that we have received no explanation or response.

The room was nice, the bed a little bit too firm for me and the coffee too bland, but those are personal preferences. The only “low point” would be that I pay for a high floor (and got it) they put me on the 11th, however the view was mostly obstructed by the building in front of the hotel, I think that the purpose of paying that extra is precisely to secure a nice view (like the one on the ad for high floors request).

Easy/quick check-in (although you have to pay extra for early checkin which really isn’t a new concept), extremely clean both common areas and rooms, daily room housekeeping which isn’t the norm nowadays, centrally located to a lot of things (the Eye, Big Ben, Westminster etc.). I would definitely stay here again and recommend to mt family and friends.

I am very unsatisfied with the hotel check in process, we are booked for just 1 night and have been told the spa/pool facilities are unavailable until 1.30 pm tomorrow afternoon as people have pre-booked all the available slots even though I was told we could just use the facilities when we are checked im and we were never told we need to pre book anything. we have checked into our room to find the seating area made up into a sofa bed even though there is only 2 us staying here so we had to request it be put back into a seating area. when the person came in to change it he rolled his eyes when I said we would like it changed back and have a seating area and laughed and said \" can just take it all off\". I dont feel it right for me to have to come to a hotel and have to take bedding off and put away a sofa bed away myself that was not requested for. it took us nearly 30 mins to check in as the desk person closed their desk twice when in the queue due to \" iv finished me shift\" and it seemed very unorganised.

this has to be one of the worst hotel experiences we have had in sure a long time and feel we have spent alot of money JUST to come away and sleep in a different bedroom as we can not use any facilities the hotel has to offer.
I would like my complaint looked at and addressed as I will be taking this up with hotels.com and writing a review.

The room was not that clean… M&Ms under the parents’ bed, toys and dust under the sofa in the living room. Not up to the expected standard. We chose the hotel for its excellent location and for the access to the swimming pool for the children… Location is excellent but unfortunately, it was impossible to have access to the swimming pool during the five days of our stay. It’s disappointing, as the hotel was selected mainly for this reason.

If you’re going to charge a service charge in the lobby, make sure the staff are kind. Service in. The bar area was horrible and the staff didn’t disguise their rudeness.

Positives - the room was clean and the bathroom nice - shower and bath included. Decent space for a family of four in a family suite. Great air con that could set to different temperatures in different parts of the room. Good breakfast. Good kids play room, suitable for my 8 and 11 year old. Excellent location.
Not so great - this is a big, very busy (it was half term) hotel. Check in was chaos. The queue for breakfast was immense after 0845 - would definitely recommend getting there earlier. Personal bugbear - hairdryer had a very short chord and no convenient plug sockets. Ended up having to sit on the floor right outside the bathroom to dry my hair. Not convenient when a family of four is trying to get ready.

Fantastic stay! The hotel is designed in such a way that most rooms have a view of Big Ben and the Thames. The room was clean, comfortable, with a spacious bathtub. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful when we arrived jet lagged. The location is unbeatable, and there is a convenient cafe on the first floor. Would definitely recommend

Check in was good, breakfast whillst busy still sat us quicly and there was plenty to choose from.

Unfortunately the hotel was booked as a description stated the rooms were sound proof however this is most certainly incorrect. Ambulances, motorbikes and corridor noise was not great, particularly after paying for an in hotel upgrade to a quiet room on the 12th floor.

It was located well for sightseeing which was what we wanted.

Really disappointed as I treated my daughter to an overnight stay and we planned to use the pool when we arrived and it was out of order. We had packed our swim wear. That was such a shame.
The room was nice. No milk or biscuits so I had to call to get replenished. Staff were helpful and did bring to room.

The lication is excellent for tourism but the hotel seams set up for 1 night stays. We had 2 small drawers for our things and they were in the living area of our room out of the bedroom area. Only 1 power outlet and zero USB plugs at the bedside.
Checkin was slow. You would think on a night the hotel was full they would have more than 3 windows open. For such a large hotel.
Housekeeping was frantically trying to get our room done at 6:30 one evening. We got 'dangerously' low on TP and ran out of facial tissue one day. And although the room and hotel appeared clean, our magnifying mirror base on the wall had the words \"clean me\" scratched into the caked on dust. And although I'm sure it is common seeing silverfish running around the bathroom isn’t something I expected.
I get the feeling senior management is looking at profits over service.

We had to move rooms because it was dirty. The atmosphere was weird felt like they didn't really care about the hotel just knew they were in a nice place central. The bar was absolutely disgusting with flies and we told them and they said yeah we know. Another lady complained about her glass being dirty with the drink she just ordered. Everyone just kept saying oh sorry. It was just not somewhere I would go back to.

We booked the hotel because it had a swimming pool but upon arrival we were told we could only book a swimming 'slot' at check in. Check in opened at 3pm and when we checked in at 3.15pm all slots were gone and there were none available until after we checked out. I feel like we were misled and paid a premium for a hotel where we couldn't actually use all amenities. My children were really upset. The front staff were not helpful at all. I had to show formal ID at check in despite having paid upfront for the room and when I said I didn't have any on me other than a debit card I was made to wait until eventually being allowed my room key and told I would need it next time....this has never been a requirement in any other hotel, particularly when the room has already been paid for!
Additionally when we got to our room the bed hadn't been made up for the children and I had to phone to arrange this. Really disappointed as the room was expensive, I would say it wasn't worth the money at all.

It is a lot different to when i last stayed in 2019. No more separate toiletries in the room. They are now bottled fixed to the wall. Room was comfy and clean and staff very friendly but some of charges for extras are extortionate - £6.50 for a 3 egg omlette at breakfast and you need a mortgage if you need any clothes washed. Nowhere near as good as it used to be

Room was gorgeous - hotel was really clean, smelt lovely, very spacious. We stayed in a studio with king size bed and double sofa pull out as there was 3 of us. The pull out sofa bed was so surprisingly comfortable!
Bathroom was huge and immaculately clean. Divine spa style products in the showers gave it a really luxurious feel.

From Check in to check out my son and I were treated impeccably. Farnoosh was friendly, knowledgeable and took care of us. This was some of the very best hospitality shown to me and my son.
