We have been too Park Plaza for years and is always our go to hotel for when we have a weekend in London.

This weekend we felt like we have been really let down. We arrived at check in time and were told the rooms weren't ready and to come back in 20 mins. We ended up having to wait over an hour and ten minutes to check in even though we told different people at the desk one of our party had a medical need and needed access to a room. They did not do anything, we were only offered complimentary drink for each guest.

Due to the late check in we were unable to make our dinner booking before going to the theatre later that evening.

On day of checkout we decided to treat ourselves to breakfast in our room. We called room service at 09:20 to place our order and told it would be 30 mins. After 45 mins we called to find out when it would be and they said they would call us back. After total 1 hour 20 mins after ordering we had to cancel our order as we no longer had time to have breakfast before leaving for our train at 11:30.

We spoke to someone at the desk at checkout and just explained we love this hotel usually and just feel a bit disappointed. Unfortunately they had nothing to say to us and just told us we had nothing to pay and goodbye.

We have visited this hotel many times but feel overall service has declined and likely feel we will no longer go to this hotel for our regular london weekends.

My only criticism is that we were woken by housekeeping knocking at 9.30am even though we had a do not disturb sign on the door, and again at 11.20 to ask when we were leaving

We stayed with our kids. The pull out bed had dirty sheets, the staff took hours to bring new sheets and this was close to midnight when everyone wanted to sleep. We sid not enjoy our stay at this place and will never return.

Absolutely Superb Hotel. Have stayed in many in London but this one for location, cleanliness & staff helpfulness tops them all.
I’ve seen some negative comments around parking but there is a car park (Upper Marsh Parking) that is £25/night, secure and about a 4-5 minute stroll to the hotel. If you are arriving by train - Waterloo is 5 minutes away.
Honestly not an issue.
Thank you Park Plaza for making our stay so memorable.

Fairly faceless huge hotel. Decor not to everyone’s liking. Clean and new. Lighting in bedroom hopeless if you need to see. Booked superior room and despite the online picture showing a room with a large window we were offered an internal room with no window at all and price was high. In the event kind staff member provided a change of room to better one with window. Basic tea coffee making no coffee machine no frills

The digital lock never worked and the swimming pool was out of order during our stay, which was disappointing as the children were keen to use it. There was also only one staff member with a rather arrogant attitude when we were asked to show ID and provide a card for access after the digital key failed, even though we were happy to provide all room confirmation and other details. This issue happened the second day of our stay.
The property was very clean, the breakfast was nice, and everything else was very good.

This property is absolutely beautiful! We loved our room with the view of The London Eye!! The decor, lovely bedding, towels were all amazing! I recommend adding the breakfast to your stay as it was very very good! It helped not trying to find a place for breakfast and the selection they had was bountiful! Loved it all!!

So the three stars are solely for the staff and good AC which is hard to come by, but in terms of the property - the high reviews are very misleading. My first room that I was given had no windows, a clogged sink, a broken shower head and the best part…an enormous image of a creepy doll as artwork over the closet staring at the bed. I did not book a room that had no windows or even atrium facing, but warning if you are choosing one of those rooms they are totally not worth the price at all you are over paying! The staff understood my concern plus I did not book that room so the next day they upgraded me to the studio. This is a MUCH better room, but I will still say given the cost it’s really not at par. This is not a family friendly hotel, there are other much more family friendly spaces around so you still get the luxury of location. Breakfast is also overpriced for what you get. And seriously the artwork in the room can only be described as creepy, coupled with very dark hallways. Thanks to the staff…but 100% I would not recommend this place. The photos are misleading, this view is barely visible in most parts of the hotel! Reference to the strange artwork attached!

We paid to upgrade our room so that we had a street view and larger room that had a mini kitchen It was so worth the extra fee. We had a little living room area and a separate bedroom area. The little kitchen area had a sink, fridge, kettle, microwave and dishes and silverware. Our room was very clean and the staff were very helpful. The ice machine is near the elevator. The only issue we experienced was that you have to reserve a time for the pool. We stayed at this hotel for the pool and ended up not being able to use it. It was record breaking heat in London and it would have been nice to be able to use the pool. All times were booked up. There really should be an adult only time. There are a lot of kids at this hotel and it is a huge hotel so the pool just can’t accommodate the need. A discount should have been provided to people who could not use it The location was good to the train station and metro. Not sure if I would stay here again for the price and lack of pool access

I recently stayed at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge and had an excellent experience.

The location is outstanding and hard to beat for sightseeing in London. Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, Uber Boat services, and several HOHO bus stops are all within easy walking distance. Buckingham Palace is also a pleasant walk away.

My room was comfortable and well-equipped with a comfortable bed and pillows, a safe, mini-fridge, kettle, coffee and tea facilities, and even a lovely view of Big Ben. There was an ice bucket and an ice dispenser on every floor.

The room is equipped with a safe, mini fridge, a US power outlet, a USB and USB-C port.

The hotel staff were welcoming, helpful, and attentive throughout my stay. I arrived after an overnight flight and the front desk (Tiffany) kindly allowed me to check in about three hours early so I could rest and refresh, which I greatly appreciated. The doorman is excellent. He has the biggest smile & he helped me locate my airport pickups london driver.

I signed up for the eco-housekeeping option and received a £10 food voucher, yet housekeeping still came daily to make the bed, refresh towels, and empty the trash.

The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of choices. My recommendation is to add breakfast when making your reservation, as it cost about £17 when booked in advance compared to approximately £25 if purchased separately.

It was my first time in London, and I chose this hotel primarily because of its excellent location, which did not disappoint. The hotel itself has great potential, and the facilities were enjoyable.

Unfortunately, my experience was negatively impacted by the service at the front desk. I found several staff members to be unprofessional and unhelpful, which made what should have been an exciting trip much less enjoyable.

It’s a shame because the hotel and its location are truly great. With better customer service and a more welcoming attitude from the reception team, this could be an outstanding place to stay.

I sincerely hope management takes steps to improve the guest experience, as the staff’s behavior left such a negative impression that I would hesitate to return despite all the hotel’s positive qualities.

Beware that if you agree to signing up for their rewards program and agree to decline housekeeping services, the option for a 10 pound voucher is NOT good for their breakfast. We were told it was when we signed up and then was told at the breakfast venue it stated that it WASN’T good for breakfast on the voucher ( it did not). It was supposedly good at their restaurant (evidently the brunch area isn’t considered a restaurant), bar… no mention of where it wasn’t good at.
The breakfast/brunch was ok, but not worth the 25pounds per person we paid. We actually had a more extensive brunch at the Derby Holiday Inn, the week before, which was included in the room rate.
Also, they had an announcement one afternoon that an incident had occurred and to stay in our rooms for further announcements. Shortly, another announcement stated there was a fire and to leave the hotel. No fire doors were closed when we walked in the hall to the steps. We went down 7 flights, along with other guests and were escorted out the building. When we asked where the fire had been, several hours later, we were told by two separate employees that it had been announced it was a drill and not to worry about leaving the hotel. Clearly, that message was NOT what we heard and there was no concern shown that the fire doors weren’t activated when the alarm went off. I found that concerning.
Other than those incidents, the room and facility was very nice and employees were helpful.

We had a good stay at the Park Plaza for 9 nights. The location is terrific, short walk to Uber Boat, Westminster tube and Waterloo train station. Great views of Big Ben and Parliment buildings. The room was comfortable and clean. Primo Bar, Ichi, and Illy Cafe all had great service and food. Disappointed with Brasserie Joel, food was over cooked and the staff were not friendly at all. They have \"prawns\" as an appetizer but they were more like salad shrimp. The filet was boring and chewy. This restaurant was not busy and I see why. The hotel is worth the money to stay there.

This is the second time we have stayed here. The location can’t be beat for walking to so many attractions. We even walked to the theatre district to take in a show. The rooms are clean, the breakfast has anything you would want. The staff packed us a breakfast “to go” on our final morning as we had to depart before breakfast opened. Will continue to stay here in the future.
