The hotel has the best location!! The staff was accommodating, polite and helpful. The comfort room had an amazing coffee/tea/ hot chocolate machine available 24/7 that was a so delicious for early morning , afternoon and evening beverages!!

The elevator was out of service for multiple days during our stay. We had to walk up six flights of stairs several times after already walking several miles around the city. We were late to dinner reservations on two occasions due to the delay. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff on the sixth floor were friendly and professional.

I can’t recommend this hotel for people with disabilities. The elevators are too small for those who use mobility scooters. If you can be mobile, however, they will happily store your mobility scooter downstairs in with the luggage. I travel with two small Service Dogs and was not allowed to eat in the restaurant at first. Roberto, the manager of the restaurant knew the laws under the Equalities Act and told the staff to let me and my Service Dogs to eat there. I went another time and they weren’t going to allow me to eat there. I told them to talk to their manager and was then allowed to sit down. If this hotel wants to contend with other high star hotels then they need to know the laws and how to treat disabled people. I frequently got looks of annoyance. I had to tell staff not to rush me when doing tasks. Zoltan the engineer there was very kind and understanding. He always made me feel welcome.

I had stayed at this same hotel a year and a half ago. I had an awful time then too. I made the mistake of not remembering it was the same hotel or I had never would have booked it.

As far as the hotel itself. It is a very tired building. There is no doorman to keep an eye on who enters so there is nowhere to sit.The carpet was very worn. The room didn’t stand out and also looked dated. The restaurant is actually quite small for a hotel of that size. There is an extended seating area on the second floor but it feels removed and remote if you’re returning from a show.

What a great hotel can’t recommend it enough from checking in to going home the experience was quality. We had a small issue with the TV which was sorted in minutes the location is fantastic. Our room was on the 7th floor it was so quiet and the room very comfortable . Our only thing we missed was having a safe in the room but it’s only a small issue. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again

Room had everything you needed along with comfortable beds. Also the shower has a shower curtain. Perfectly clean but just a bit outdated.

First, it's a gorgeous structure, inside and out. in a perfect location for walking to many attractions, restaurants, theatres and historic neighborhoods. The breakfasts were great! Plus, the location was incredibly ideal for our trip because major busses stop out front and it's near 2 tube stations and Trafalgar Square and the Jubilee Bridge. The hotel is in an excellent location for getting around town. Staff was very helpful and the restaurant on site is good, except for their breakfast, which was bland.
It’s also very near some wonderful Italian restaurants. Rooms were clean and they have a nice lounge area to play games and do puzzles if you have downtime, which we did on Christmas Day, since everything, including transit, is closed.

The location was ideal. The service was pretty lackluster. Maybe because it’s a Club Quarters, rather than a regular hotel?

We were there over the holidays, and had a frustrating experience. After being notified by Expedia, we had requested reservations from the restaurant via the form provided for Christmas dinner several days in advance. We did not hear back, only to be then were notified when we arrived that we did not have a reservation. Having received an automated response to my request email tgat it has been received, I was confused to say the least. Were there no reservations for the time we had requested? And if so, why weren’t we contacted?

The manager of the restaurant was very ambivalent about it—he basically shrugged. We certainly understood that things happen, and had he been more professional about it, we would have felt differently, but it left a sour taste in our mouths.

The food at the restaurant was pretty unappetizing and very expensive so maybe we got lucky!

Staying at the Grand hotel Trafalgar was very confusing. I received a text to check in from Club Wuarters. I texted back that I was staying at the Grand Hotel. They are 3 different names for the same place--may even be a 3rd name. That explained why the service charge was an outrageous 20 percent of daily rate--to equalized the higher daily Expedia rate for Club Quarters. Expedia needs to clear this up!

I like Club Quarters in US--private lounge area with coffee machine, refillable filtered water bottles, printer and conference room for meetings. But I was expecting an updated Grand Hotel from 25 years ago.

Essentially no service over 5 nights. A couple of days someone came in to replenish coffee pods and remove trash. I asked for sheets to be changed but they were not and blankets were merely straightened.


The hotel location is fabulous. Bus 91 route ends at the Grand Hotel and stops at Euston and St Pancras Stations. Although I usually stay in Russell Square to spend time at the British Museum, but I wanted a Christmas holiday near the National gallery and St Martins in the Field.
