Great location but very small rooms. Ladder to get to the bed was dangerously steep, the sofa bed is NOT. a sofa bed, it's a seat with bedding on and very uncomfortable. No ' Do not Disturb ' signs so every morning the housekeeper kept knocking.. I had to ask for an extra duvet twice ( to sleep on due to the hardness of the sofa bed ) before it got delivered. Room towels and amenities were only set up for 2 people when we booked for 3 people. Check in was poor as our reservation was put in Incorrectly. If you have luggage you have to battle stairs after the escalator up.

I’m rating Moxy this low mainly because of their customer service. Everything is done via a tablet (check in and check out) there’s no physical person to talk to if you have any concerns. The bar staff was extremely nice but they’re always busy making drinks. I think they need to have one person solely handling customer service issues. On our check in date we wanted to get a bigger room so we tried calling Moxy via phone AND through the messaging on Hotels.com and I did not get any response on either options. Careful on which rooms you booked because the rooms ARE SMALL and some of them don’t have any windows either.

Great location for central London, practical no frills hotel, with no interactions with staff at any point. The shower wasn't the best, and they seemed to be issues with the escalators at the entrance. However I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future.

We were super excited to stay here, as we've stayed at previous Moxy locations in Europe and loved them. However, we were greatly disappointed with the cleanliness and the staff.
Upon checking into our room, we found toenail clippings on the ledge of the top bunk and hairs in the shower, which made us wonder if the room was even cleaned. We immediately went to the front desk to ask for a change of room, but we were told that if we switched, there would be no sofa bed (blanket and pillow on top of an actual couch) and that we would only have a queen bed for the three of us. They apologized and asked if they could do anything for us; all we asked for was bottles of water, which we are still waiting for to this day.
They offered to send someone to clean and change the sheets instead, and we reluctantly agreed, but asked that they come when we headed out, as it's a small space and we'd rather not be in the way. Naturally, they came 45 minutes before the time we told them, swept the toenails with a mini broom, said 'that's it?', and left.
On our third day, we ran out of toilet paper and asked the front desk for a new roll. They said they would send someone ASAP. We left for 4 hours, came back, and still had no toilet paper, forcing us to go back to the front desk to ask again.
I get that some things can be forgotten, but it made the experience very unpleasant. I would not stay here again. I guess the location is convenient, but that's all they have.

Location is great. Hotel amenities were average. Bed is a little hard and only two pillows, no windows. There is a 50 euro fee for early check in, but staff is helpful and lets you store luggage (no charge).

Location good. Staff are nice. Building was run down, two elevators did not work, or an escalator. Few outlets in the room did not work. Tried to overcharge us when we needed to extend. Won’t be staying here or at a Moxy again

The hotel was under going major refurbishments so the main entrance was blocked off and I was signposted to a side entrance which wasn’t immediately obvious.
I also booked a standard double room which turned out to be a bunk bed with double bed on the top level which was incredibly hard to climb the stairs, the tv was out of sight and there was no shelf place a drink of water or place your phone on to charge overnight, however there was plugs.

If you can get beyond the small room size, this is a great place to stay for Central London attractions. 50 yards from Piccadilly Tube Station - doesn't get much better than that.

I had to check in on a monitor which felt low quality , why pay such a high price if there isn’t even a hotel staff to get me my room, also the beds were not comfortable , pillows were not comfortable , sheets were scratchy and the bedding was so thin — very disappointed as to Moxy branches in NYC were better, feel slightly tricked

You can tell the hotel staff has no idea what’s going on. The check in process was a mess. They told us sit and wait and they were just chit chatting around the bar until I went up and asked again about the check in and why it was being stalled. The hotel is in perfect location to everything so from a location standpoint it’s great. The worst thing about this hotel was the noise. You hear your neighbor like they are right next to you in the same room. If you don’t care about the room and you just plan to use it for sleeping I think it’s great!

Check in was a mess, with them not being able to find my booking, accidentally charging me for an additional room, attempting to give me an upgrade but then reverting back to the original room, all in all it took over 30 mins to get checked in, this was after the 3pm check in time . The staff were really nice but everything went wrong. The loft room was a great concept but the AC didn't work meaning the room was boiling hot, the complementary water was missing and the adjoining door was open and not able to be locked.. the location was great so was the price but you get what you pay for I guess .

The room I stayed in was comfortable with a large TV at the end of the bed, and a large, clean and very efficient wet room with two showers.

Unfortunately the LED light at the headboard end of the bed could not be turned off meaning that I got no sleep!

Breakfast was not very high quality with coffee being similar to dishwater!

Helpful, friendly staff. Nice decoration at the main entrance, and rooms comfy (if not a little snug).

Think we had the smallest room in the hotel, as there was a corridor cut out indent (room 201). Having said that, the room had all of the amenities required and a massive TV. Very modern decoration, but no window. Also, the main corridor door outside the room banged shut when somebody passed through, this was the only inconvenience.

I would stay again, but request a different room.
Location could not have been better - in the middle of absolutely everything.

The first room I was given in the third floor.. was drilling going on above me and also the fire alarm went off 3 times.. staff had no concern as a called down and asked if it was an emergency all very relaxed, which is a real concern when there is an actual emergency.

Moved to another room fifth floor and again fire alarm off 3 times just as I was resting..

I like moxy and have stayed at others, I also work for ritz Carlton Marriott.. so was disappointed in this visit.

This is a very minimalist room set up which is fine if that’s what you’re looking for. The extra sofa conversion for the loft rooms is not really a bed it’s just a mat from the sofa setting. Not very comfortable. The biggest surprise was when I encountered what I can only describe as some kind of inadvertent error by cleaning staff. I returned one night after they had cleaned to find my cosmetics bag missing. I addressed it with the front desk in the hopes they accidentally grabbed it somehow while picking up towels. Although there is only one small shelf in the bathroom so hard to figure how it could be disturbed. After repeated attempts to check in they never found it so I inquired about some kind of restitution for the lost goods (the bag and its contents) for what I’d have to replace. This doesn’t even address the inconvenience of not having personal items for the remaining days of my trip or when I returned home. I was told that since security couldn’t show that the staff had made an error that there was nothing they could do for me. Clearly there are no security cameras inside a room. I’m sure people create false narratives about stolen goods from rooms so I understand that there are policies. This isn’t a case of accusing anyone of intentionally taking something. But in a room so small with no place this bag could have gone the only conclusion is they accidentally knocked it into a pile of towels or somehow tossed it with trash. I felt very unserved by the response.

The rooms are they n the smaller side. They have a nice bar and seating place. Never restocked soap or toilet paper throughout visit. It’s right in Piccadilly near man chain restaurants. Good for getting around and walkable to soho.

Great location. Friendly staff, Cute lobby and room is more spacious than I expected. However, there were no windows in my room which could pose a problem for someone who is claustrophobic. Lighting is also dim in room which is aesthetic but not ideal for doing my makeup lol

The room we stayed in was a triple though the third bed was actually a converted couch turned twin bed. The king size bed was in a loft type set up bunk where we had to climb up every night to sleep. While this set up was not horrible it is likely less ideal for older folks with mobility issues. I would not recommend this type of room for older adults. The bathroom sink is horribly small even for Europe standards. The one perk of the room was the open space the loft set up allowed. The location of the hotel was perfectly ideal for proximity to all the things we wanted to do as well of tons of dining options in the area - just remember to make reservations ahead of time. All in all the property is well kept and provided what we needed while we visited London for a few days.
