Pod in female only dorm cost £10 more than a mixed dorm - feels like capitalising on women's safety.

Pod was comfortable and shared space quiet. Fan inside was a little noisy but overall I slept well.

Central location and good connectivity to where I needed to be.

Bathrooms seemed OK, but did get busy and the floor around showers was a bit flooded.

Could do with a full length mirror in the bathroom or around the dorm. Needs hooks/shelf in the toilet cubicles as it's hold your stuff or put it on the gross floor.

Reception area and corridors aren't very attractive as dark, narrow and dusty - tiny corridor into reception meant getting bashed by peoples bags. It's dark and uninviting. Stairs were not signposted and how to find your way back from the dorms to reception was not well signed - i somehow ended up at a back door fire exit and had to retrace my steps to find my way out.

Probably would stay again as it was convenient and once in the pod I felt secure and away from the chaos of the city.

5. hairdryer (if possible) , as it might have lend by other people at the time you most need it

Fantastic location, bed itself is super comfortable, the light, socket for charging and the air con are great. My advice is take your own towel and make sure you have shower get/soap as the dispensers in the shower were empty both mornings.

Really good you have to pay for any extras like towels, it's just a bed duvet pillow but it's cheap, and in central London so that's to be expected. Staff were really friendly and helpful, as quiet as most hotels but still worth having earplugs. Bring your own padlock they're not provided, basic ones can be sourced nearby at boots but they aren't great quality.

This was my fourth time staying here, the pod was clean and great as normal, however this time they did not provide a towel. The toilets and showers a lot were out of order and they were filthy a lot of the time, toilets without loo roll etc. I saw one cleaner in the 3 days I was there in the toilets which is a change from the other times I have stayed here where there were lots of cleaners all times of the day and the facilities kept very clean. I stayed on floor 2 this time.
I would stay here again as hopefully it will be cleaner next time. All the staff were really lovely and helpful as always.

The good side is the price if you can get this under £30 then it's a pretty good offering.

The downsides are several and mostly self inflicted which Zedwell could quite easily resolve.

* The latches on the capsules doors are pretty knackered and could do with replacing.

* But why in 2026 are we brining our own locks, they have power and wifi to every single capsule. Adding a lock linked to your keycard which you have to have to get into the building anyway, is going to cost under £100 per capsule, installation, device, and even networking via power if they wanted a wifi backup (I did a similar deployment in a hotel many years ago.) This means a few nights rental will pay it off for the next ten years or so.

* The noise isn't that bad but you feel bad for the people fighting the bad door locks (when a key card would be easy), in the middle of the night.

* The toilets are behind a key enter door so now you have to remember both your padlock key and the key card.... seriously remember to have pockets.

* The door location could be a bit clearer on the website as they have work going onsite outside the building, just add a picture from Google maps. I twice ran into some other guests outside trying to find the entrance.

* There's no internal phones at all, which means if you run into an issue with your card in the night (and someone did) you have to march across the building in your night clothes rather than just using an emergency phone that could only call reception.

Location is amazing , literally spitting distance from Piccadilly Circus, so very convenient if you need to travel on the Underground. It is pretty much like sharing one gigantic room in a hostel but sleeping in a private enclosed bed rather than a bunk bed, with strangers in the room. It felt like I was sleeping in a storage facility, with all the shutters and padlocks! Not one for people who feel easily claustrophobic or the very tall. I am 168cm and when sat on mattress my head almost touched the ceiling. There are 2 hooks for hanging bags. No storage space in capsule, people leave shoes and suitcases outside their capsule. There's a little ledge where you can place a few things and there's the power socket. There's an extractor fan but it may be too loud to sleep with it on. Temperature was comfortable, but I suspect it could get stuffy and warm in the summer.

Self check-in and check-out was easy.

There were a lot of toilets and shower cubicles ( with a small changing area inside each one ) in the shared facilities but a fair few shower cubicles were out of order during my stay. They include a hand towel but charge for bath towel rental and if you don't bring your own padlock, you can buy one off them.

This was perfect as I just needed somewhere clean, convenient to sleep for a few hours after an evening event nearby.

This was great value for 1 night, and it worked - easy check-in, etc.

Capsule was easy to find, bathrooms/washrooms were a bit busy, but fine, a number of bathrooms were out of service, but there were a number free.

Capsule was as you'd expect size wise, I slept okay. There is a fan, which was noisy, which could be turned on/off, so I had to balance between noise or heat. It was manageable, but it would have been much better with vented AC or something that could be passive vs what looked like (and sounded like) a bathroom fan!

Overall, I'd visit again. Not sure I'd stay more than a night. I wasn't sure where you'd store things outside of the capsule (i think it exists but i was unsure why you'd need a padlock.)

Clean, relatively quiet, executed quite well.

Con honestidad no volvería a quedarme aquí, desafortunadamente me tocó un cuarto como con 98 personas por lo cual hay ruido la mayor parte del tiempo, los pods son 3 hacía arriba y toda la instalación es madera por lo que se escucha todo y sientes que en cualquier momento te va a caer encima la persona que duerme arriba, (me quedé en el pod de abajo).
El día que hacen limpieza las personas que se encargan del mismo llegan como si trajeran fiesta y no paran de hablar entre ellas.
Los baños son bastantes pero están sucios, regularmente falta papel higiénico y huelen feo a orines.
Las regaderas, el agua tiene la temperatura exacta y es abundante, había como 6 fuera de servicio por lo que un día tuve que esperar como 10 minutos a que se desocupara una, y no había jabón dentro de las mismas, afortunadamente yo siempre viajo con mis propios jabones.
Los elevadores tardaban mucho en llegar, las personas optaban por irse por las escaleras.
El seguro del pod normalmente daba problemas para abrir o cerrar, en 2 ocasiones me tocó ver que fueron a llamar a personal para pedir ayuda, pero quienes no iban tardaban hasta 5 minutos intentando cerrar su pod.

Pod was nice and clean, mattress was comfortable and plenty of room for me as a 6ft 3 male. But the pod door wouldn’t lock from the outside. There are no lockers to put your things in and so to store a suitcase is very expensive at £15 per day when the room rate for the pods is already pretty high compared to a hostel where lockers would be provided, so not really good for long stays or travellers with big suitcases. I just my carry on suitcase inside my pod to sleep so it didn't get stolen. It smelled of pee in the corridors before going into the pod area. The basement level is literally a building site even though the elevator (which are extremely slow) lets you go down there for some reason. For the facilities they have here its very expensive

The location is brilliant, the concept is fantastic and the design is clever. The capsule is a reasonable size (a bit like a small tent) and comes with power socket, light, fan and two hooks. The washroom was large and abundant with toilets, showers and sinks. Slept very well indeed. Perfect for a couple of nights. They can rent towels, earplugs and a padlock if you don’t have them already.

The best thing about the place is central location and absolutely lovely and welcoming staff in addition to crisp clean bed linen. I'd like to commend Mina who worked at the reception upon my arrival and the gentleman who was very friendly when checking out the next day, but that's about it.

Due to being extremely busy on the booking day, I unfortunately hadn't checked what capsule stay meant. No luggage storage for free, no room for shoes, you can only dress lying down. If I had checked it out, I'd have never booked it. I was hooked on central location and given the fact that I booked in a haste without checking, I made a huge mistake. I would never stay again and will not recommend it to travellers who want a normal stay at a hotel. Curiosity in this case literally killed the cat.

A place that cannot offer luggage storage free of charge
for the stay, which is short anyway, and where everything comes at extra cost is not a reasonable option. That way I spent an extra 30 pounds on luggage storage. With that amount I could have booked the other Zedwel hotel, but this was a non-refundable option and I only checked the hotel out when it was too late to cancel.

Not to mention the air-conditioning that has to be on all night. Have you considered carbon footprint and consumption of energy?

Perhaps it is a good option for people who just have to stay one night after partying in London but it is definitely not for business or serious travellers.

First time use of this hotel. It's more of a posh hostel than a hotel, with shared facilities, however the pods are more private. My pod was much warmer than I would have liked and I had a broken nights sleep. There is a fan but it doesn't seem to bring in much cool air and is right above the pillow and too noisy to have on overnight. Plenty of showers and toilets so didn't need to wait. Some noise and music could be heard coming from the corridor later at night, presumably when people were coming after a night out. Price for the location was amazing though. A good place for the odd one or two nights, any longer could be tiring.

It was great and easy access to get to as long as you had a key. But when booking they should make it aware you have extras to pay at check in. Like padlock, towel etc. They should advise people to come prepared. Basically is a glorified hostel but with extremely comfortable private bunk. Showers and bathroom they should keep them separate gender wise. Showers again extremely small to manoeuvre if you have suitcase with your stuff to change into. Great location and staff extremely helpful. Check out is at 10am unless you pay for check out at 12pm. Overall good for what you pay.

The pods, showers and toilets were clean and comfortable. However, the pods themselves were incredibly hot and the air vent didn’t really seem to do anything to alleviate that. Unfortunately there was just no airflow once the shutter was closed.

There was work being done on the property at the time meaning the entrance was hidden within scaffolding and the fire wasn’t very clear.

The check-in process had a couple of issues, despite having checked in online, meaning I had to seek help from the team member who appeared to be helping a lot of other guests out for the same issue.

The photo you have is NOT the Piccadilly capsule. The place was dire, like something out of Squidgame. Everything painted dark grey and dirty vinyl floors. The roller shutter doors on the beds were industrial and locks didn't work. No room whatsoever to put your luggage except on top of your bed. The toilets and showers were tiny and again industrial. No where to put toiletry bags so had to balance on the sink. I booked a female dorm but got a mixed. And nowhere to get dressed appart from lying down on your bed. Nothing like the pod I stayed in Tokyo which was lush. NO - I don't recommend this - Stay in YHA instead.

The Capsule Hotel is a hidden gem in an otherwise very busy city... I've wanted to try this experience for a few years now and I'm so glad that I did!
The staff are genuine, kind, and helpful, and they really supported me throughout my whole stay.
The \"pods\" are incredible. From the cleanliness to the ambiance, it's an experience like no other.
However, I wouldn't recommend this to someone who struggles with claustrophobia; the rooms are plenty big enough for all your needs, especially for a cheap city break, but someone who struggles in/ with tight spaces may find the rooms restricting.
If you are seriously considering to stay in a capsule hotel, I would recommend bringing your own handheld/ mini fan, a towel, and a padlock for comfort and security!

The capsule, bathroom, coridoors and reception were all spotless. Staff all helpful with one significant exception which was in respone to.the constructive criticism of the signage on the stairs.

There is substantial building works. There was inadequate temporary signage to direct guests to reception and not get caught trapped in the building works. Trapped being the operative word. Had there been an emergency on Friday night. On Saturday morning when three of us missed the sign directing us to receptiion twice and found ourselves trapped, I wanted to hear the response to our collective concern of ' I will look into that what you tell me not that could not have happened.

I think perhaps you needed a native English speaker on duty to hear and understood this concern.

Every time I stay, the pods are uncomfortably warm throughout the night, even in January (the fan makes little difference). I have also never found a tap in any of the bathrooms that dispenses cold (instead of very hot) water, meaning there is no way to get drinkable water or brush your teeth without using hot water. I heard another customer also complaining about the lack of any cold water options (but they were advised to buy cold water from a shop outside).

First time staying here, have hostelled before. Capsules were spacious and had good security. Despite being busy, I wasn’t conscious of lots of noise when within the capsule. Toilets were clean, as were the showers, however the shower itself had a poor flow and went all over the place. Capsules also got quite hot during the night. Nowhere to fill a water bottle. Fantastic location in walking distance of Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Regent Street and Oxford Street as well as the West End and Picadilly circus. The accommodation provided a perfect, affordable accommodation for my solo trip to London. The capsule was comfortable, warm with adjustable lighting, fan, WiFi and charging ports. My trepidation about shared bathroom facilities was soon dispersed on finding the facilities to be spotless and adequate, always available no matter what time of day.
I felt safe and had the best, undisturbed two nights sleep. Thank you Zedwell
