The beds were very unstable like the mattress was just sliding off the whole night. It was really hard to rest. And also, we checked in on a Thursday and there was a big sticky stain like 2 foot long outside of our door and it stayed there the entire two days we were there and somebody should’ve cleaned it for sure but other than that the pool was really fun. The breakfast was yummy and the people were nice and I loved the golf course and the view.

Solid, clean, and well-located (for my purpose) hotel. Definitely ask for a top-floor room to avoid hearing footsteps above, and check your AC unit as mine was loud. Very dim lighting in the room, but overall a positive experience I'd repeat

Door to enter building at the back is meant to be locked and only accessible with a room key, however we discovered it’s unlocked 24/7 and the door can just be pushed open without any key. Felt very unsafe once discovering this.

Forgot sandals in room, know for a fact I forgot them in the room, but they claim they were not found. This means they’re stolen by housekeeping.

Shower had what appeared to be black mold in the corner. Certainly wasn’t clean.

Random glass cups left outside our room door from time of check in and remained there until after we checked out.

Our reservation we had for a suite was not honored. They moved us into a double room because they had a group function there that took our suite I believe. They did move us into the suite for the last 2 days of our stay. The staff did a commendable job managing the snafu. IWRH is an historical landmark worthy of a stay. It's age (~70 years) shows but that's a plus in a real sense. Lucy and Desi's Western Hills Hotel is still alive. Weekend cabaret show dinners are a nostalgic treat.

The rooms were fairly large but the hotel is extremely dated and in need of renovation. Lots of areas just in need of maintenance, for example the wooden shutters on my first floor room were broken in multiple places and when I tried the door handle on the connecting door it fell off in my hand. I could let all that go as the price was very good for Palm Springs area, so you get what you pay for, right? However the reason for my low rating was the loud music. Thursday night they had a DJ in the bar area, even though there was literally no one in the bar he was blasting that music like he was at Coachella. I could hear it clearly all the way down the hall and in my room. I asked for them to reduce the volume, which they did, but so minimally that it didn’t matter. It played until 10pm. I was traveling alone, but if I had little kids with me trying to sleep I would have been furious.

Door: inside lock broken off wall needed new screws

I forgot Toothbrush: No toothbrushes to purchase. Attendant (man) 8:00 am said we have no toothbrushes they haven’t stocked.
He wouldn’t try to find one for purchase.

I was so dissatisfied I left on Thursday did not return— I paid for 2 nights —- extremely poor
All the way around. I will never recommend or ever stay there again.

The hotel seemed a bit outdated and stuck in the past especially with the gym equipment. Not a very good gym at all. Our room was okay but the bed sheet had a little spot of dried blood on it. It was in a great location and the staff was great! Other than those two things it could use some work.

Sheets stink, bed is 20 years old, mildew growing in the bathroom. Shower water was slightly on when checking in the room, Paint was peeling off from water damage, sliding glass door is barely hanging on. Rooms need a complete remodel. I don’t know how this place is still open.

Beautiful old movie star hotel - originally owned by Lucy and Desi Arnez. I go here twice a year as it’s such a perfect treat. Wonderful pool right next to golf course and view of the mountains. I highly recommend getting a room with the golf/pool view and you won’t be disappointed!! Very comfy bed and rooms all have patios on first floor or balconies on upper floors to enjoy the view and get fresh air. Nice staff and easy check-in. Even though it’s an old hotel and rooms are a little dated it is kept very clean. It’s not a super luxury hotel but it’s very old Palm Springs with history and a beautiful lobby and grounds. Totally enjoyable!!

Desperate need of updating especially the rooms but then they would probably raise the price, which was really the only reason I chose this place for a quick one-night stay to play some golf. The $25 parking fee though is a joke considering I usually stay up much nicer places that don't charge that.

The first room that they put us in smelled like mold. The rig hadn’t been vacuumed and my don stepped on a small nail. Had to go to Dr. and the hotel didn’t even reimburse us just moved us to another room.
Pool is filthy outside! None of the outdoor chairs match: some are teak, some are old and brown, some are grey. Needs a lot of work!

So dirty and loud. This place is the equivalent of a very poorly maintain Motel 6. The vinyl flooring is separating at the seams through the building hallways, the carpet in our room had numerous stains and spills on it, bedding was stained, housekeeping never showed up to change our bedding or give us towels in a multiple night stay, the walls were putty patches throughout the building that were never painted, the entry doors don’t secure and several had exposed electrical dangling from them. The pool has half the amount of chairs of occupants making it more competitive than relaxing. They charged $50 for parking which wasn’t noted in the booking. The rooms are not soundproofed at all and it is very noisy all hours. I would not send anyone I liked to this motel.

Wasn’t very nice , wouldn’t stay there again. Limited amenities. I understand the hotel is older but it’s poorly done and loud. Slamming doors , loud hallways , flooring in terrible shape. Ice machines didn’t work, tv wasn’t interactive. No lunch at restaurant, small pool. Will stay elsewhere next time.

when we arrived at 100 in the after we asked if we could checkin early they said room was not ready so we showed up at 400 pm checkin time I asked for a phone call no phone call to lets us knowwhen are room was ready as we were walking to our room they had rooms on the bottom floor with venders selling merchandise to I have no clue to me this was very unprofessional I was wondering what kind of place we checked into the room was ok the hotel was out dated aaaa there was a basket in the bathroom with no soap or anything in it no shampoo in the room no soap lucky we brought are own I would not stay here again very disappointed

Unfortunately they gave me the worst room over the air conditioning system - so the noise was really unpleasant. Also the staff could have picked up trays and dishes sooner-!other guest left their used trays and dishes and the sat for a long time. The fist was very high for what has become an average mediocre hotel
