Traveled for 3 nights for work with 2 others, and we all had issues of some sort. One guy couldn’t use the treadmill due to it being broken, another guy had no hot water in his room, and I had a mouse in my room.

The breakfast entree’s weren’t the best, but edible enough. I was pretty disappointed with it being an IHG…

The front desk was truly kind and helpful with check-in.
The room itself was a let down. In comparison to the photos, the room was much smaller. Aside from that, the room was clean and comfortable.

Great outdoor pool, hot tub & pergola area!

We stayed in a king studio which had a kitchen and living space - great room! The outdoor hot tub and pool is a beautiful spot to hang out after a day of traveling. This is why I booked here as it was the only hotel in the area with outdoor pool & hot tub. Breakfast was average. The only thing that did not meet our expectations was our room smelled like Chinese food and the front desk did not have anything to get rid of it.

The hotel is nice and in a good, convenient location. Although it rained the day we were there, the outside pool and area looked very nice. Amble parking, and the check in was quick and friendly. The room that we had, 143, a King suite with separate bedroom, was spacious with comfortable beds and sitting area. However, both of the phones were broke, there was only one small trash can in the living area, and the bathroom was not clean. The paint on the door of the bathroom was pealing and there was some brown substance (hoping it wasn't fecal matter) on the inside of the door.
The \"dinner\" that they served that night was very basic at best and the breakfast was not good at all. They did have plenty of coffee, tea, juices and soft drinks available. All in all, our stay was ok and we would probably give it another try.

Staff was a bit stand off-ish, asked if we could keep our 3 bags behind the check in desk to avoid being in a locked car in a heat wave, but lady at the desk seemed a little put out at the idea, gave no eye contact, wasn't friendly at all. Also, rooms were a bit dated, stained carpets, the options for breakfast were limited compared to other hotels. Also wanted to buy from the pantry after dinner (dessert for kids) but after waiting 15 min no one showed at the desk, so we just went back to the room. Wont be staying here again, esp with 20 other better options in a mile radius.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We had water dripping through our ceiling and a refrigerator that was running all night long. Uncontrollable noise with no Manager on staff or security. We were supposed to be able to have breakfast and the little kids were sticking their hands in all of the food and putting the top of the bottles in their mouth.. When contacting the Manager annd Corporate they refused to reimburse us or offer any other type of compensation. It is absolutely disgusting and I would highly recommend finding a different hotel.

My son and I left our room to attend a concert and when we got back, part of tge ceiling in the bathroom had fallen down because of a leak dripping down from the ceiling. My eye glass case got ruined from the water dripping on it. I called the manager and she gave me the option of switching rooms or waiting til morning for maintenance as they don't stay on property. I chose to switch rooms.

Staff was very friendly, check in smooth. The room was spacious however not very clean. There was debris all over the floor including a piece of plastic my husband stepped on with bare feet. There were onion peels on a pillow and the couch, a piece of brownie or something on the floor, obviously the room was not vacuumed. All doors were stained/smudged with something that I easily cleaned off with a towel. There were stains all along the walls in the bathrooms (like coffee was spilled down the wall and left there) and a stain on the bedding. This is not the first time we stayed here so was surprised how poorly cleaned this room was when we arrived. Disappointed that this may cause us not to stay here again.

Overall great stay. Our room was very nice, well laid out, clean and well appointed. Quiet location but easy to get to everything. 4.5 stars only because the \"manager's reception\" only applies Mon-Wed, not all week, like the listing says. The breakfast was also not as good as we expected. There were plenty of options but some were low or out, the toaster barely worked, there were missing condiments. They were not busy at that time. Based on the photos, we were expecting a much better meal, but were a bit disappointed. However, we'd stay again!

I booked a room for a week because the photos online looked really nice. I have never travelled alone or stayed in a hotel alone so I wanted somewhere I would feel comfortable. This place was so nice and had everything I needed. The whole entire trip I kept thinking I am so glad I chose to stay here. I felt safe and I didn’t have any complaints at all. Everyone in my class complained about how hard their beds were and mine was so soft and comfy. Would def stay here again! If you are debating it, go ahead and book it!

We stayed for 1 night. Upon arrival there was weird spatters of (sauces?) or liquid on the walls. When going to bed, we found a dirty tissue between the headboard and the bed. The power went out for the entire hotel in the middle of the night, staff seemed like they didn’t know what to do and didn’t say anything about it when checking out. Breakfast was limited due to power outage so we couldn’t enjoy that. Not the worst, but I’d probably try and find a different place to stay.

Charged $75 pet fee (adertised at $15). No fan.

On Hotels.com, the listed pet fee for the hotel stated $15 a night for our small dog. It's the main reason we picked this place. At check in they demanded $75 for the pet fee. They were painting the halways so there was paint all over the carpets and heavy odor of paint fumes. I cant sleep without a fan, and there was none to be found. Front desk suggested i open the window instead, it coule only be opened less than an inch at most.

Pictures made it look much nicer than it actually was. Stayed 4 nights house keeping never came by. A few of the lights in our room didn’t work. Staff was nice upon check in and check out! Not the worst stay by any means, but I can’t say I’d recommend it.

My partner and I have been driving up to Grand Rapids once a month for the past 5 months for her fertility treatments because we are trying to have a child after 2 years of trying on our own unsuccessfully. Every month we have chosen a different hotel to stay in because we have not liked them or had bad experiences at them, or they smell bad. This place was different by a long shot. Yes they are currently doing some refreshing on the building, but even so, it's a beautiful building, those that work there are incredibly kind. The front desk staff were amazing, especially Jennifer! Breakfast was so nice. Everthing was clean and smelled nice. The only issue we experienced was that our neighbors in the room next to us were loud and rude at all hours slamming there door, but that's not a reflection of the hotel and we will be booking there if we require another stay.

We stayed at this hotel on two different occasions because it’s the only hotel with a king and two fulls, but each time it got grosser. I’m no prude, but the rooms needed fussier cleaning. The floors weren’t mopped; housekeeping completely overlooked a spilled box of Nerds over and under the refrigerator; and food-caked dishes were put back on the shelves! The second time we booked the hotel, it was having drywall renovations done on the third floor corridor, but they still put us up there! With constructions workers sanding drywall, drywall dust got on everything and we couldn’t help breathing it in. We had to dodge shopvacs, extension cords, and tarps strewn about in order to get to our room. When we entered, our luggage wheels brought in lines of drywall dust. This place wants to turn rooms over too quickly, so the deep and necessary cleaning isn’t happening. But this place also suffers from enough greed that it would put customers at risk in order to get more money. They should have made the third floor off-limits! Their saving grace is that they put us on the second floor after I complained, but I never got reimbursed for the more expensive room I booked on the third floor.

Upon checking in it took Atleast 4 trips back to front desk before they could program hotel key properly so we could get in our room. The main tv only showed the guide and wouldn’t show any other channels. Finally got fixed the next day with an additional cable box. The exterior is beautiful, the interior needs updating. Hotel rm bathroom had very little space for items due to pedestal sink. Have stayed at a staybridge in different location and was much happier.
Staff was polite and tried to be helpful. I think I would stay at a different hotel next time even with the full kitchen amenities.

Great breakfast buffet but that was the best thing about the stay. Pool and hot tub looked nice but bc they were outside and it was raining we didnt get to use them. We went out to the zoo and got back around 11pm and us and another car were circling the parking lot over and bc there were no parking spots. There were lots of kids running around and being loud and loud above my room early in the morning. And one kid burned hersellf on coffee at breakfast bc her parents werent paying attention. The sofa bed was not comfy and only big enough for one person. The light from the curtains was at a bad angle bc of the way the bed was situated. Even though the breakfast was good and the check in girl was very nice. I didnt like anything else we had to deal with. Ive stayed different places in grand rapids and liked other hotels better. Prob wont be going to this one again.

Don't stay here if you need extra assistance

To start with, there was someone else living in our room when we checked in at 1 am. The room they finally gave us was as far as possible from the elevator and my husband is has a disability and uses a walker. Each morning before breakfast I had to wipe off the tables we used to because no one else was doing it.
The staff was all very nice; I think it is the management that is the trouble because they won't talk about this.

Was a nice stay. When I originally went to check in the room wasn't ready due to maintenance needing to repair something but it was a short wait. However getting to the room, the dishwasher was going and just dumping soapy water all over the floor. Housekeeping was quick to clean it up however. The room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was delicious.

The continental breakfast was great, the staff I dealt with were friendly and solved the problem I addressed. The floor in the room could have been cleaner, it was not filthy but there was dirt and dust on the floor. Staybridge Suites Grand Rapids: Spacious Suites, Stellar Gym, But One Annoying Hiccup
We recently stayed at the Staybridge Suites in Grand Rapids, Michigan with our family of 6 for a debate tournament. While we were primarily out and about for the competition, the hotel provided a comfortable and convenient home base for our busy schedule.

Spacious Suites: The two-bedroom suite was fantastic! It offered plenty of space for our family to spread out. We appreciated having two full bathrooms, which helped us get ready quickly in the mornings. Plus, the 1/2 kitchen was perfect for storing snacks and drinks, and came in handy for light meals after long days. The TV was a nice way to unwind in the evenings.

Fantastic Gym: A big highlight of our stay was the hotel gym. It was truly the best we've ever seen in a hotel! They had a wide variety of dumbbells, a treadmill, an elliptical, and ample space for floor exercises like jumping jacks. This was a lifesaver for staying active during our busy trip.

Good Breakfast & Service: The breakfast was good, with a variety of options to suit different tastes. The service staff were friendly and helpful.

Trash Issue: The only real downside to our stay was that housekeeping never came to take out the trash during our entire 4-day stay. This resulted in a rather large and unpleasant trash bag accumulating in the corner of the room.

Overall: A great place to stay for a trip!

We absolutely love this hotel! It is beautiful, the breakfast is amazing and the staff is incredibly kind. I want to especially give a shout out to both Sarah and Aram. Stayed in a 2-bedroom suite with 1 king & 1 queen. The queen room was very small, or maybe just crowded because of the desk. The king room was decent size. We used the couch, too, for a child. She didn't like the pull-out mattress--too springy, so just slept on the couch. They did not have a portable crib available, so we had to make our toddler a little bed with just sheets & blankets in the corner on the floor. The breakfast was good. Did not use the pool. Decent stay.
