The rooms are small, beds aren’t that comfortable and it takes forever for the water to get hot. There is a language barrier with some of the staff , for example house keeping asked if we need our room clean and we said no. A few moments later a male staff member is opening our door while me and my husband weee indecent. I felt very uncomfortable after incident.

Great location. Basic facilities. Windows need upgrading to help with noise from the busy road and insulation from the cold (though the window area doubled as a fridge due to the cold!). Curtains did not cover the entire window - particularly the bed end where the buildings opposite could be viewed all night long with lights blazing. Please fix the window dressing.

Our room thermostat didn’t work, our first night it was freezing. The next night we received space heater.
No refrigerator or microwave in the room. Very basic even if you upgrade as we did. When we went to ask them to hold our luggage when we checked out it was $5.00 a bag. Very basic amenities bed, toilet, shower, instant coffee.

The hotel walls need better soundproofing. You can hear your neighbors television in your room, as if it was in your room. I certainly expect street noise in New York City, but not from the other rooms. This occurred at midnight, the hotel staff asked the room to lower the volume. They did but the damage was done. I will say I have been to this hotel before without issue. Maybe I was just lucky. The hotel is very convenient to public transportation.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, though a bit on the small side. However, the hotel’s location was excellent — close to many different attractions — which made our stay extremely convenient. The staff was outstanding: attentive, professional, and always willing to assist. We truly enjoyed our stay.

While the staff was nice and the location was great…the rooms are not soundproof and it was noisy due to construction outside, would have preferred a room not next to the street.
Bathroom sink didn’t drain well, shower door leaked on the floor after shower. Toilet after flushing ran for almost 15 minutes every time. We also had to ask for more keurig cups, and the staff seemed reluctant to give us more.
Breakfast was also not a buffet! Instead you have a $40 voucher for a minimal selection of food, that we never used completely because my mother got sick from the ham, egg and cheese sandwich. I don’t think we will stay here again any time soon.

I was so disappointed in this property we really wanted to love it based on the reviews but maybe we were just unlucky we got a room with a damaged wall that I didn’t notice at first until a piece of the wall struck my 2 year old while she was watching out the window. Also the staff was not very helpful, we asked if there was a business center and we were told no later on to find there was one. Besides the location we really didn’t enjoy our stay. The beds were uncomfortable, housekeeping skipped our room on the first day. It was one thing after another. We stayed at another property next door last year and had an amazing experience we were hoping this one would be the same but finding a good stay is half of the stay in NYC. We definitely won’t be back to this property.

The room the first night did not have heat, the bathroom light didn’t work well, and the tv was messed up. We were able to switch to a different room for the second night that was much better. Would prefer a refund for the first night though as the room was horrible. Thank you!

This hotel is in a wonderful location, especially around Christmas. Macy’s is nearby, and the Empire State Building was just outside our window on the 17th floor. We had a short stay and didn’t use many of the amenities, but we were pleased with the hotel and the cost.

Everything you need in NYC hotel. Location superb. Staff helpful, room clean and handy luggage storage for pre- or post-stay. Fantastic views of The Empire State Building from room 16.06- reminds you how close you are to everything and why NYC is soooo special- especially at Christmas. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

The gym is basic but it has 1. Check in was quick and efficient and the reception staff were professional and welcoming. We had a room on the 17th floor with a view of the Empire State Building which I was not expecting. There is a cafe type breakfast nook and I believe some guests get free breakfast but we didn’t have that within our booking, there is hot drinks and pastries available there. There is fresh drinking water available in reception. All the staff were very nice. The only issue we had was the noise at night from the door to the stairs ( I presumed it was staff using it at night) it woke me several times one night
It is very well located for walking to Times Square, 5th avenue and the subway
There are several restaurants and pubs on the same street and some lovely patisseries within a 2 min walk
I would stay here again

The staff here were very kind and super helpful. The room was very small and felt crowded, especially with our suit cases. there was no fan in the bathroom so it got very steamy when showering. The bed was too short… I am an average height and my feet were hanging off the bottom if I wasn’t completely up against the head board. There were no USB plugs, and the regular plugs were very loose so we had to prop something against the blocks to stay in the socket. I could also hear most of what the others staying on my floor were doing/saying.

The room was very clean and ready before check in at 3 pm… we arrived around noon! There was no refrigerator, and the staff offered one which we accepted, however, it was never delivered. This was ok, because we never really needed it. The lightbulb above the entry door was burned out and changed after our first night. Lastly, I did not like the fact that I was charged per bag to store my bags after check out. It was a long weekend trip so we had suitcases, carry bags and several shopping bags which were all tagged individually… even my daughter’s coat was charged! It was a nominal fee per bag, however, I have never been charged a bag fee by any hotel in the past. Lastly, when I asked for a checkout receipt, I was told because I booked through Expedia, I could not get one, email or paper. This has never happened before either so I could not see if I was ever charged for the refrigerator. . Overall the hotel was fine, but with so many others to choose from, I don’t think I’ll stay there again! Not sure why, but that bag fee sure got to me!😂

This is a great hotel for a short stay in Manhattan. I would not stay more than 3 or 4 nights since the room was so small and there is no mini fridge or microwave in the room. A couple small issues: We did not receive a bar of hand soap only \"facial bars.\" The complimentary toiletry bottles were hard to squeeze.

A gem ! Close to everything / Macy’s, I was really impressed with the service and the clean room and it is quite ! Room that a not big but ok as we are in New York and we want to spend as much time as possible outside the room ! Plus you can leave your luggages while you still visit the town until you’re ready to leave. Only recommandation would be softer pillows but I strongly recommend.

We traveled to NYC with our kids and had a wonderful stay at Best Western Premier Herald Square. The front desk staff were always friendly and very helpful. They were amazingly accommodating. We asked if a fridge was available and they brought one to our room right away and told us we could store anything additional in another fridge. They were happy to give us extra coffee pods when we asked, helped us unload and load our car, and kindly set up a table and chairs for us to eat takeout one night. The room was serviced daily for the 4 days we were there and was always clean. The hotel is very convenient to the subway, Times Square, and lots of restaurants and shopping. The elevators were in good working order and we never waited more than 2-3 minutes for one to arrive on the 12th floor. The air conditioning was comfortable and beds were great. The room is on the smaller side, which is the norm in NYC, so we expected that. The fitness area was clean, had cleaning wipes, well stocked water and towels and included free weights, cardio equipment and a cable fitness machine. Ice machines were on 3rd floor and basement. We had an absolutely lovely stay and highly recommend this hotel!

We were greeted every time we walked in the door and also told to enjoy our day each time we left. Angelica in the cafe was a delight. She was so kind and was great at answering our tourist questions of where to go during the day. We tried a few of her suggestions and they were all great! And the coffee and breakfast options in the cafe were delicious and reasonably priced with typically short lines. We had the option to not have our sheets changed every day but they did still come in and clean, empty garbages, provided clean towels. Our room was small so in such a tight space, we appreciated the daily tiday from the cleaning staff.

First time in NYC for a wedding, so the hotel was pleasant enough for the 3-day stay at an affordable cost. The staff were welcoming and polite. Check in/out was easy. Location wasn’t bad either, although I almost walked right past the entrance when we first got there. (It’s nestled in there) A lot of places in walking distance like Time Square, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center. There’s a 24 hour store called Toast Cafe Brasserie NYC/ Buffet around the corner for snacks, meals, and drinks anytime. It helped since our king room didn’t have a mini fridge to keep drinks/leftovers cool and fresh.

If I ever find myself needing to stay in NYC again for a short time without breaking the bank, I’d stay here again.

Great stay at a great location. Rooms are small like any NYC hotel, they are nicely decorated and extremely clean. It was an easy walk to the subway and Penn Station which is the stop to and from the airport. The reception team were great and extremely helpful and always greeted us each day.
