Room is very spacious with a large balcony and amazing view. Very clean and well stocked. Loved the mini bar drinks that were included. Breakfast buffet was large with many options that changed daily.

I am a Guam resident who \"staycations\" for leisure. I have stayed at several hotels on the San Vitores/Tumon strip. Hotel Nikko is the best accomodation for price, cleanliness, convenience and hospitality. Thats why I return.

everything about the hotel was great, we initially booked a room for the local rates and escially the new year count down hosted the only issue was the angry asian next door who kept telling us to be quiet on the balcony when we were being excited saying happy new year amongst outselves and not that loud and the next door asian neighbir becomes grunpy and mad, it wouldve been nice to separate the people coming in for new years ( locals ) away from the foreigners who are grumpy and dont want to be near joyful loud neighbiors, i know we werent that loud and to tell us to be quiet on new year when the whole building was roaring cheerfully.

Nice view. Staff was good. Chinese restaurant was closed most of our stay. Not very much happening at the hotel for the holidays. Hotel charged for beach umbrella and chairs areas and for seating on poolside lounges which I thought was too much.

I booked a suite and asked for a king bed due to my back issues. They gave me 2 twin beds. I checked in at 7 45 pm. I asked to be changed to a king bed. This process took 3 hours. They said they were short staffed. Finally, 3 hours later, the king bed was horrible. The mattress is like 20 years old and very uncomfortable. I'm not looking for 5 star treatment but I got 1 star from the front office. They never cared or bothered to contact me or make up for their unprofessionalism. I am never staying here again.

To get a fried egg the line was too long, the coffee was not fresh. Did not appreciate sitting around over an hour at 5am waiting to check in at the agreed rate. Did not appreciate the front desk unnerving me about checking out after we had an earlier email confirming a late check out. The elevator was dirty. pool water was mirky, deck chairs are too low for older people to sit and get up.

The room was good, we were in the tower facing 2 lovers point. We previously stayed in the tower facing Tumon beach, and I prefer that side better. We got a great black Friday deal which explains the room, but otherwise everything else was good.

The Inhospitable Water Policy: While I appreciate the eco-friendly focus, the execution was poor. For a $200+ nightly rate, having to walk two floors down (14th to 12th) simply for drinking water—especially after a late evening check-in, and finding the room's carafes empty—felt acutely inhospitable. This inconvenience was compounded by the absence of refill stations in main public areas like the lobby or pool.
Absurd Gym Hours and Discrepancy: The 8:00 AM gym opening time is unacceptable for a resort catering to travelers. Attempting an early workout resulted in a confusing runaround between our hotel and the neighboring property, wasting valuable time and only granting 15 minutes of exercise. Worse, the contradictory information was highlighted when another guest reported using their room key successfully before 8:00 AM, underscoring a frustrating lack of consistency.
The rooms are visibly worn, featuring an old, stained luggage stand, and dated bathroom tiling. The breakfast buffet frequently began to deplete its core items (like rolls and bread) by 9:30am, even though the stated end time was 10:00am, suggesting the closing time should be adjusted. The high price point ($200+/night) feels unjustified, and Hotel Nikko Guam is definitively not a 4-star experience.
The defining conclusion of this stay is that the hotel urgently needs to align its operational standards with its pricing. I regret not checking other traveler reviews.

Helpful Staff—Lost Item Not Found

I accidentally left a BOSS polo shirt after a two‑night stay and contacted the hotel right away. The staff were kind and responsive, but it was never found. I can’t say what happened, but wanted to flag this for fellow travelers—especially those flying to the island and unlikely to return soon: double‑check your room before checkout, as recovering lost items may be difficult.

Hotel Nikko Guam will be one of our favorite hotels in Guam. The Gun Beach, Facilities, Amenities, Warm and Friendly services of staffs are wonderful! Nice place to stay to relax and enjoy. Overall stay wasn’t too bad. However, the bed was extremely hard. The location of Nikko is one of the best. The views are amazing as well. Just for me personally, it’s a bit overpriced for what you actually get. The tv was really old and you can only watch the channels that they provide, unless you bring your own laptop and hdmi cord.

Nice place, but the carpets are badly worn down with some holes and runs in places. My room was nice, and comfortable, but was very musty smelling. The refrigerator kept things cool, but nowhere near cold. Not good in that heat and humidity.
A microwave would've been handy for leftovers from meals, but without one I didn't take leftovers and food was wasted.
The breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent. Great tasting food and many options across many ethnic palates.
Every staff member I dealt with was very helpful, friendly and actually seemed to be enjoying their jobs.

Overall a nice hotel. Restaurants at the hotel were crazy expensive! Awesome location and beautiful beaches. The views from the rooms were excellent. A few more touches to the rooms would be nice such as beach towels, tote bags, robes and larger refrigerators. The greetings need to be improved as well. Very flat and did not feel very welcoming!

However, I paid the security deposit via debit card and at check out I was told that I would have to wait 30 days to receive my security deposit back into my card because I am using Bank of Guam. Very disappointing!!! KenCorp needs to fix this matter.

Absolutely best deal on Tumon. Every room opens to a view of the ocean with a spacious balcony. You know it’s nice when the entire Lobby opens to a view of the ocean. The staff went above and beyond on requests and the facilities were beautiful. I especially enjoyed the Nature Trail, Water Slide, private beach, and pool bar. You are a short 10-15 minute drive to Two Lovers Point and it’s breathtaking views.

I didn’t try the Chinese restaurant, but Benkay Japanese restaurant was delightful, at the time they were doing a 7 course tasting menu for only $65.

Nikko Hotel in Guam is a rather old property but well maintained. The swimming pools and location by the beach are major assets. I had dinner at Barclay's restaurant and food was good and affordable. It would be good to have a sign on the road to mark the access of the hotel. Overall, a good experience.

House keeping management needs to be aware of

Stayed 5 nights with my friend.
Appreciated the option for bed making request to notice with the card, I liked that systems. Our concern was cleaning; 1st day after we checked in, gift of wine and eco coffee mugs on the room table and that was very sweet until we recognized body hairs next to them. It’s clearly not us since we just stepped in.
We trying to make some coffee next and moved the box for condiments, chunk of bacon was laying next to it.
2nd through 4th nights we’ve noticed there were towels never taken from the floor and behind the bathroom doors hunger which instructions were thrown into the bathtub when we wish to change, obviously we looked over but c’mon it’s on the floor at sink room and you will really leave as is?
Final night after our long day came back to the room, we found pregnancy test on night stand which blew our mind away.
My friend and I looked each other and we got so confused !
Bathrooms door has stains from the moist and mold but if you wipe them it will clear out but seems none care about to do it. Room next door always had trash bag outside of the door, we see in the morning when we are heading out and come back in the evening still as is or adding up more trashes. Clearly house keeping/ cleaning system is not efficient.
Feel disappointed since Bed is firm and comfortable, staff services were great in every communication, we hope they will really improve their cleaning skills and supervision for it.

Hotel is on beautiful Gun Beach in Tumon Bay. Pool, slide, and beach are all fantastic. No hot tub. Snorkeling off Gun Beach is quite good, eels, Parrots and dozens of other species were seen. Great staff.

Second Class Guests When It Comes to Parking

While the facilities were obviously architectually planned and built well, cleanliness is superficial only. My biggest complaint is the priority that guests are lowered to in sacrifice to the comfort of the staff. If you look at where the staff park -right at the nearest and most convenient spots, leaving guests to use the distant parking spots- you'd think that guests were at the bottom of the priority list. Knowing JAL's record, I cannot believe that such a policy exists. So this must just be a lack of company rules being enforce. I can tell you from three decades' experience living in Japan that the Japanese are not going to complain to the hotel, but they will make sure to complain to potential future guests. Myself, on the other hand, I don't let sleeping dogs lie. There are other things that I wasn't pleased about, but I'll just focus on this, as it really was ubiquitous.

The rate was fine but the customer service was unsatisfactory. I already checked into the room and when I came back to the room I noticed that someone gained access and fixed the room again for unknown reasons. When trying to make a request I kept getting put on hold and when I followed up there was alot of miscommunication. There was no follow-up on customer service’s end on my request and decided to leave it be - unresolved.

I was underwhelmed by pretty much everything in the hotel except for the Japanese restaurant inside the building. The mattress felt like cardboard boxes with a thing layer of cushion on top, the bathroom was “clean” but not renovated in some time. The hallways still had water stained carpet from the typhoons last year. I paid extra for a premium room with lounge access and breakfast. The breakfast wasn’t served till after I had to leave for work, and the day I could actually eat it, I couldn’t eat any of the food (breads, cold cereal, side salads, deli meat/cheese, yogurt and juice) because of dietary restrictions… I can’t believe that was $20+ a night. The server was kind enough to fill my coffee cup on Monday morning before the lounge opened, but I wasn’t able to use the self-serve espresso machine to make a decent cup of coffee. I tried also using The on-site exercise room, but it didn’t open until well after I left for the office, and closed shortly after dinner. So , I also wasn’t able to use that. The hotel seems like it used to be the must-stay-at destination 20 years ago, but it hasn’t been updated since then. Great views, good service, but sub-par amenities and rooms.
